[PRP] New Faces [Xochi/Raum]

It would be time for the Viking of her life soon and it was all she could think about. All she could focus on. When she went to sleep it was the last thing on her mind and the first thing when she woke the next day. She had so much to prove and so eager to do so that the days seemed to be growing longer, making the wait more and more unbearable.

So, she had spent her time trying to mingle - hoping to find others who would be joining Tethys out into the rogue lands - as well as trying her skills up against other reavers. So far she had been only semi-successful, but it was not enough to keep her from trying.

And so, bright-eyed and full of life, she moved around the more populated areas of the pride in search of someone new to talk to.

I picked Raum. X3 I've been dying to rp him. He's an older adol, though not quite an adult yet.

Raum stalked along the pathways, ignoring those that hurried out of his way and brushing past those that tried to stand their ground. With his deep red fur and dark mane he was the spitting image of his notorious father Ragnvard and that alone was enough to make many in the pride wary of him. He even had the dark slash under his golden eyes, themselves only a few shades different from his sire. While still technically an adolescent, he had not felt that young in some time. His body was big and muscular, and while not as heavily scarred as the Captain, he carried his fair share of painful memories. Only his mane, short and spiky along his neck, betrayed his true age. A truth that his eyes did not reflect.

A female, dark of fur with metallic blue markings on her tail, refused to move out of his way and he barred his fangs at her silently. An expression she returned. But before he could swipe at her, another lioness called out, pulling the narrow-eyed stare of dislike off of Raum. He watched her reluctantly move away, noting that she was the daughter of the priestess Ember, of Aesir's line. Unlike many of her half-siblings, she did not sport the old Warlord's distinctive face markings. Her full brother did however. Erika and Mikael. He had long ago committed their names to memory.

Resuming his disturbed walk he refused to bow or stop for anyone. He could feel their eyes on him, tracking his movements, waiting for him to make a mistake or commit some heinous crime that would justify the things they whispered behind his back. About him, about his father, about his aunt... Gritting his teeth he refused to show the pride any sign of a weakness, and so he strode onwards through the middle of the pride.

Xochipepe was relatively new to the pride and had, so far, been relatively successful. She had won her first challenge and, shortly after, ventured out on her first Viking, managing to befriend a lion who had risen in Captain shortly after. However she had not yet come across the darker parts of the pride - though she knew they existed - and was still too new to know anything of Ragnvard and his infamy.

Still, it was hard not to notice the young male stalking through the pride. He was large but young with an attractive pelt and an odd look in his eye. It was that look which had her stopping in her tracks. Perhaps if she had noticed how others avoided him, she might have moved on, but there was something about him that drew her in.

He was a curiosity. An unknown.

And suddenly, without any reason at all, she wanted to know him.

Putting on a smile, the skull-marked lioness diverted her path so that she might draw up alongside him. "Greetings," the Stormborn phrases were not yet set in her habits. "You have a look about you today. Something going on?"
