[PRP] Memories of home (Keira x Lawsonia)

Keira winced as she licked carefully at the bite mark on her leg. It stung sharply and made putting the leg down something she was trying to avoid. Heaving a deep sigh she wondered for the umpteenth time just where she had gotten herself stuck. She needed away from this pride, and away from the lions who tormented her daily. Even being alone in the roguelands had been better than this! She longed to see her grandfather again, but of course he was now a permanent residence back home, his trips into the roguelands long since halted as he had grown older. She missed her mother terribly but knew that Saoirse at least was finally at peace, hopefully up where Keira's father, the god Primitus, was keeping an eye on her.

Sighing heavily once again she tested her weight on her injured paw, inhaling sharply at the spike of pain the attempted manoeuvre brought her.

All things considered, he was settling in well. There were still some things he needed to adapt to, for example he hadn't been fully prepared for the array of different personalities that existed here... but it was still better than his former home. Here everyone spoke with conviction, they didn't shy away from their decisions, and if you disagreed with their view and really wanted to push it then you had best be prepared to fight for the honour.

He would still smart now and then when he saw the treatment of some individuals, but as his brothers and his Captain had informed him, how he treated those around him was the only thing that mattered. He might not be able to save the individual in question as it simply wasn't his place, but he could treat them with the respect he felt they deserved. Should he come in to possession of any of them, he would also be free to determine how they would be treated and the roles they would perform.

...It was comforting in that respect; even if it would take him a little longer to completely block out some of the crueler Stormborn. Truthfully, he was beginning to suspect he might end up in a fight with more than one of them if really pushed!

For today however, he wasn't on duty at the borders and his band had been given a reprieve to relax and unwind. With that in mind Lawsonia had embraced the opportunity to explore the area a little better. Still familiarizing himself with each nook and cranny, the smaller than average lion would soon find himself in the midst of Keira's company... Particularly when he heard the sigh, and then further noises.

"Huh?" he asked dumbly and glanced round.
