Which cub are you entering for?: Red paws male SoA Name: Sigvard Meaning: Victorious Defender
Personality: As his name suggests he will become a fierce defender of his family. Loyal to his mother, father and siblings, he will fight for them even if they are in the wrong. In his eyes, his family do no wrong and those that throw accusations are fools. To those he cares for he will be protective and even 'loving' at times. However, get on his wrong side and you will know it. His anger is like a wildfire and once it is started it is difficult to put out. If you anger this boy he'll hold a grudge forever. Those who do not take him seriously - he tends to stutter when he is angry - will live to regret it (or not!)
Will Rieseln's early influence affect the cub at all, or will they follow in Ragnvard's footprints? Or will they blaze their own trail?: He will hold values of loyalty and love for family and tend to turn a blind eye to his father's cruelty - justifying it, if asked. His anger in adulthood may drive him to acts of cruelty, though as he grows wiser he will try to master his anger and better himself.
Prompt Response: [Prompt 1] What did they know? The cub scoffed, curling in on himself to wait for his anger to subside. They knew nothing about his father - even if they said they did. So what if some of the things he did might have been frowned upon? He was big and strong and he was a captain. The pride needed lions like him. Or did they prefer obedient lions who followed orders and held back the claw of judgement? Was it wrong to have pride? To test the strength of others? Was it not survival of the fittest?
Deep down, part of him realised that his father's actions were extreme at times, but wasn't the world constantly bringing them face to face with hard decisions.
Did they point a paw and label his father because they were weaker? The world, as far as his young mind could figure, wasn't all fun and games. He knew this, even as a cub!
No. His father wasn't evil. He did things as he saw fit. If others didn't agree with it, that was their problem. Mother cared for him, after all. He couldn't be so bad, right? No. His father was a strong lion. Someone to be proud of. He wouldn't hear it any other way.
