Claw stepped forwards, his heavy footfall sinking deep into the snow. Endless white stretched out in all directions, as far as the eye could see, which in this weather wasn’t actually that far. A fierce wind whipped the snow into peaks, sending flurries racing through the air around him. His breath misted before his muzzle. He pressed forwards, barely giving any thought to the ferocious weather that was picking up. His shoulders were squared against the wind, his bulky form steadily pacing forwards.
He was a brute of an animal, his body giant even for a purewalker. So far he had only been dwarfed by his mother, a giantess amongst giants. He left heavy prints through his path, which even the violent snowfall couldn’t instantly refill. His pelt was thick, fur long, keeping the cold from permeating through to his skin.

The extremely massive Hawk Walker was currently perched in a tree. Their beady eyes watched the other walker with a snarl upon their hooked beak. How dare they walk through the lands they were currently occupying, did they not know it was rude to do so. Plus it meant a death wish. While the male was massive in size they could still take them. "My sweet, we have company." Khaalida said to her sister with a shift of their wings. They were fairly certain she was sleeping but they could feel their presence pressing against their own. The branch groaned beneath their weight as they moved along in a sideways motion, watching as the Walker moved along. They wondered if their presence was going unnoticed, which they doubted. They were quite a sight to recon with. While they wanted to just swoop down and attack the Male right away they knew they didn't stand much of a chance in their current state. So that meant they'd have to change. Growling Khaalida flew to another tree not too far away, ahead of where the walker was moving. It was likely they had seen them at this point. "You look very delectable, and very challenging." They said in a low hiss like thrum from their areal branch.

A bird? Was that a bird talking at him? A deep growl rose up within his throat. He hated birds, with a passion. Anything with wings deserved to have them ripped off, slowly mangled, feel the power of his teeth against their flesh as they slipped into nothingness. Yes, that was the only fitting end to birds. Hot fire raced through his veins as rage flared deep within his stomach. The urge to rip, to kill, to destroy filled him. It was a seductive compulsion, whispering to him, tempting him. He kneaded the ground with his claws in anticipation.
But birds were irritating things, always just escaping out of his range. Cursed their wings. Curse everything about them. His snarl deepened, his shoulders rippling as he slunk lower into a crouch. “You look like roadkill, not even worth spitting on, never mind eating.”

Was that it's attempt at an insult? Khaalida let out a eerie laugh like mock at the walker, "I could say the same thing about you. Nothing but fat and little brains." Though that was just the average bear they had consumed, they figured this walker was no different in anatomy. They had spent many a days filleting their kills, seeing what they were all composed of. Bears were mostly fat and hardly any good meat in them, but still fun to kill. They put up the best fights, being so broad and burly. "We may have use of you though." Khaalida said out loud, not really expecting a response. Not that they'd be able to control it though. It would be quite a nice thing if they could, they'd be such a wonderful brute of strength but they wanted to rip it open much more.

Use? For him? That was it. His temper erupted, red flashing through his vision as his maw curled into a deep snarl, each tooth bared threatening. He dropped lower into a crouch and moved forwards, "No one and nothing can use me. Especially. Not. Some. Pathetic." He practically spat each word, his breathing growing heavier and heavier with each word. "Mangy." His flanks heaved with his barely contained rage as foam flecked his snout. "Bird."
That last word was too much. He leaped forwards, concentrating his full power into the jump, his thick muscles bulging with the effort required to get himself off the snowy ground. And as he flew, he morphed. Teeth into fangs. Paws into claws. Horse slowly changing into bear, maw open heading straight for the hawk.

The rile they were getting from him was by far the most exciting thing they had done all day and Khaalida's eyes glistened with excitement over this fact. All along they had the advantage with their ability to fly and took to a spot where the creature could not reach. "You are too slow for us. Though the strength you possess is so very nice." She hissed watching him from their perch above. If only there was a way to capture them and make them do what they wanted. Unfortunately there wasn't much of a way they could do that. They didn't really like the taste of bear either. "Too salty.." Khaalida hissed at him.

Red rage danced before his eyes as he let out a loud bellow of frustration, his jaws latching onto nothing but a moutful of snowflakes where the hawk had been. Birds, his nemesis, the one thing that could always get away from him. Well, not this time. Not if he had his way. "You can fly, but you can't hide." He roared, voice echoing across the snow-muffled landscape, cutting through the air despite the ever-increasing winds.
He looked at the tree the bird was currently perched in, eyeing it up for just a moment, before taking a few steps back. He weighed up his odds. The tree was sturdy, but it had no idea just how heavy an enraged bearwalker could be... He took off into a gallop, paws churning against the icy ground, and slammed his entire weight into the tree. Even braced as he was, it took the breath out of his lungs. And for a moment the tree held... He clawed at it in frustration, leaving deep gouges in its bark. This tree, an ancient wonder, was little more than paper beneath his razor claws. And suddenly, creeaaaaaak, a loud groan emitted from the depths of the trunk, and Claw felt it begin to shift.
