He had done it, he had successfully completed his first Viking and he had been complimented on his performance. Admittedly, he had come away with some constructive criticism and there were things that he needed to work on, but ultimately, he was satisfied with how it had gone. Better yet, he had even managed to acquire living treasure that he had been granted leave to git as he saw fit.
It seemed that at the moment the Vikings did not suffer from a lack of peons, thus he was free to provide this one to whoever he saw fit, and what better an individual to gift her to than his most infuriating and condescending sister? Given that they both seemed to possess complimentary traits he was of the view that they would get along quite well.
...Hell, maybe the accursed female would finally admit he had done something right!
"This way," he motioned to the lioness as he continued towards the dens and shook his head. "Best behaviour and all that," he added after a moment of consideration.

She had had her reservations as she had wandered with the band of Vikings - though bound by her own word of honour, she hadn't been entirely sure they were capable of anything other than rough housing and pillaging. However it seemed over the course of Tethys' Viking there had been a number of them that had exhibited some form of valor... it wasn't immediately apparent, but they did seem to have their own concept of it and they tended to stick with it.
Some, more than others, had been more inclined to adhere to their principles... All in all, it was quite like the roguelands in that respect. There were those who followed a set of rules, and those who abused the vulnerable, the only difference was that the Vikings made no secret of the fact that both existed within their pride and neither were looked down upon.
...So long as they could flex their muscles and stand their ground, they were permitted to be as they were.
She wasn't entirely sure of where Tethys fell in to this category, but as she had observed him in the last few days she had realised that he might very well be one of the principled ones. Deliberately clumsy perhaps, but he had a keen eye that it seemed even his sister might have under estimated. Still, she had already been advised as to where she would be 'going' once Tethys had been granted leave to do so.
Now it was time to meet who she would be indentured to...

"Well, well, well..." The pale lioness glanced up from her work and raised both eyebrows as her brother approached. He looked somewhat worse for ware, but she couldn't work out if this was due to him being hungover or not. His eyes seemed to indicate he had imbibed in a little too much of the brew and was now suffering the consequences off his actions. Nevertheless, the fact that he was not alone had not escaped her and she regarded Nanabe with interest.
Now, even the female seemed to be in a good state. She didn't appear to have been beaten, she certainly wasn't ravaged, and she carried her head in a manner that seemed to indicate she was steadfast in her conviction. Thus, the question remained as to who and what she might be.
Surely he hadn't found a mate so soon? He had barely been out and there were plenty of remarkable females here. A new recruit perhaps...?
Both her eyebrows raised in inquiry and she waited patiently, if there was one thing that she could rely on Tethys for, it was that he had the ability to read the silent questions she might pose to him...

Tethys
"Dione, did you miss me?" he replied with just as much of a wry drawl as his sibling. It wasn't that they didn't love each other, in fact, they would both kill to save one another... but their behaviour would make the majority of bystanders uncertain. It had always been the manner in which they had spoken though, there had always been a small amount of rivalry between them.
Strangely, neither of their parents at stoked this rivalry either... Arimathras had always been loving and optimistic, while their father had always been firm, but practical in his approach to parenting. They had always been rewarded for their achievements and recognised so there had never been anything for them to compete for... Perhaps that was why they had simply decided one day to compete at everything.
"I have no doubt you did," he didn't give her a chance to answer and motioned towards Nanabe. "My first outing went swimmingly, they were very pleased with me and I had the pleasure of meeting this young lady," he glanced at the purple and cream lioness before returning his gaze to Dione.
"She owes me a debt so we have both agreed that she would remain here until such times as it's repaid," he smirked. "You have the pleasure of her company, she has already indicated that she'll do her utmost to assist you in..." he paused for a moment.
"Well, whatever it is that you are currently aspiring towards..."

Dione
She wasn't going to rise to the bait on this occasion, at another time she probably would have, but she had her dignity to maintain in the face of someone new. Somebody, who it appeared would be her subservient. Strange...She hadn't anticipated that she would be directly responsible for a thrall so soon, she had only assumed she would be graced with such a thing after she had attained loftier heights. Truth be told, she wasn't entirely certain as to what she was supposed to do with a thrall at this current time given she only had her own very minor research to do...
"I see..." her response was measured as she regarded Nanabe thoughtfully and then turned her gaze back to her brother. His smug smirk was evident of his unspoken 'told you so'; he had proven that he was more than capable of achieving what he set out to and on this occasions she would have to eat her words. Worse? Well, it would be terribly bad form for her to not accept his gift, especially when it wasn't something she could acquire through other means.
"And your name is...what?" she asked at last, highlighting that her brother had passed over some of the finer details that would otherwise have been rather important for her to know. After all she couldn't refer to the lioness as 'lioness', she wasn't quite so crass as that, her father had most assuredly raised her better!

Dione
"All day, every day," Dione replied without looking at the lioness. She too was watching her brother bumble off to meant whatever he had been afflicted with. By now she had gathered that he was hungover, this made her significantly less sympathetic towards his ailment, but she was at least pleased to see that his 'thrall' had been just as unsympathetic... There had certainly been no fawning or tending to.
"He was born that way," she mused and returned her attention to the lioness. Now that she finally had a chance to look at the lioness she was certain that Nanabe was no weakling. She might not be as strong as a Viking female, but she certainly wasn't incapable of caring for herself. Healthy, clean teeth and bright eyes... Dione was rather curious as to how this little arrangement had even come about in the given circumstances, at the very least, the female should have been able to run.
"All right, let's start from the beginning," she clucked her tongue and took a seat again. "How in the name of the gods did you manage to get wrangled and sucked in by my sibling? There's not way he caught you by force, you look like you would have ripped his balls off."
It was a statement that made her new thrall chuckle... a good start to the relationship, if any....
