Once the Flare Grunts close to my position were occupied with the other Snagems, I did my best to avoid detection as I ran off after the Zygarde cells. I didn't obstruct them, as that would just draw attention to me. Instead, I merely observed, as curious as anyone else, surely, about what Zygarde was truly after. If I was spotted, at least I had a disguise on.

Better that Sir Dynamite be labeled a criminal than have that fate fall upon me.

Meanwhile, an Audino would leap out of her ball next to the Snagems and fire a Heal Pulse at the general direction of the team's Pokemon, doing its best to help its allies while preventing the healing energy from falling upon the enemy Pokemon.

"Man, these Flare guys are everywhere," Keiko sighed as she caught up to the team, both herself and Audrey steeling themselves for the looming battle after the Audino's assistance had been rendered.

Aile would watch as Isaac took off, rubbing one of her temples as she was left alone. "Lovely. So, that's just telling me to take a more obscure route home to grab things." She shook her head, petting Tatooine in part to comfort herself.

"Goon? Fly flyfly."

"Go fly through the Badlands on the way home, sweetie. We'll take a ride past our little night stop and make sure that everything's fine," the woman whispered to her Flygon, who did a little spin and trilled happily before taking off for the craggy landscape of the Badlands.

"Already saw the papers, your insurance sucks and doesn't sound like a good neighbor!" Cera shouted. She wasn't so stupid as to actually stop around the likes of them, even if the two looked like they'd rather talk about a baseball field. She'd end up levitating the egg beside her so she could cover her ears, muttering something about annoying bugs and doing everything she could to evade the Psybeams.

She and Amaranth would see the flashes, though it was easy to tell that keeping up with the woman and her Togekiss was going to be easier said. The idea of the two splitting up had crossed Cera's mind, but there was a slight issue that cropped up.

Namely, the sudden spikes of energy as a Flamethrower and several Water Shurikens were fired. This alone was enough to make Cera break off to find Odd and the small batch of Zygarde Cells he had managed to round up... for now. Without a second thought, she conjured a few Aura Spheres to give a bit of suppression fire towards the Greninja and Pyroar. "You sure that you have the thing?" She asked.

---

Amaranth would watch as Cera peeled away, unsure of what was going on. she could see that the cells wanted to do something, but they were distant... still, she could see where they seemed to be headed for. Patting Breeze's back, she'd have the Togekiss fly off to get towards one of the gates, both of them trying their best to keep away from the Flare grunts beginning to flood the city.

The pair of Grunts would quietly look from Darts had dragged them to to the cavalcade of attacks streaming towards their shoddy defense. Glancing to each other before nodding, the pair would dive out of the way into the nearby brush before returning their Pokemon. "We're out! Who needs this Flare and Kalos are the best stuff?" The larger grunt shouted. "Not us. Maybe someone else is hiring?" The lanky one replied with, both figures disappearing within their respective piles of brush.

As they walked inside through the now utterly decimated gate, they would see the city in a state of emergency as small Earthquakes rocked across the place. And while Odd had captured a few of teh cells near where he was, a Core with a much larger troop of Cells would stream onto the scene before directing his cells to tackle and attempt to dig under the Guardian Circle. If successful, the collective would begin to dash away towards what appeared to be one of the gates.

They were not the only ones to notice though, as the Flare grunts who had been chasing the small batch Odd had caught would draw Pokeballs. "Nope. No getting by. We have the thing this time." One of them growled out, a Greninja and a Pyroar popping into existence next to them. The Pokemon would take no time at all to launch a Water Shuriken and a Flamethrower respectively that aimed to cut down and char-broil the Snagems. There also seemed to be voices coming closer to where they were, so they were going to take the Grunts, they needed to do it fast.

"Mamoswine, come back." Freth said, recalling the beast as she rushed through the blockade. As she made her way through, she overheard the two grunts backing off from the defense. "You're overpaid anyways!" She shouted as she continued onwards.

When she made it into the town, she took notice that Zac wrecked havoc in the town. "...son of a...why. Why is this thing doing this!?" Freth said. The more that this goes on, the more this is not worth chasing down that Zygarde. Freth's instincts then tripped off then turned her head, taking notice to the onslaught of fire and watery blades coming at her and the Snagems. "Blizzard, I swear I'm killing you when you get back to HQ!" She said taking cover for a second. Once she did, she took out a Pokeball, trying to get ready for a counter attack.

"Good on ya guys!" Darts says cheerfully, waving as they took off. "Go home and be a family... men." Somehow that comment had less impact in the plural. He shows up to see the flow of cells swelling and growing in size all the time and that bad feeling from earlier returned. Maybe it was the dragon energy swirling all over the place but it was like he had a rock in his gut...

The two Flare grunts would be pinned down by the covering fire from the Snagems arriving on the scene, driving them back from their efforts to reclaim the small contingent of Zygarde cells. Unfortunately, this switch of focus would be what allowed said cells to take off once again with their main group as the two grunts turned their attention to their comms. "Report in! All available Flare members, proceed as quickly as possible to Geosenge Town! The cells in the town were a distraction!" The grunts would turn to each other before glaring at the Snagems in front of them. "Not worth it." One said, returning his Pyroar before his partner released a Talonflame to take off on. The pair would quickly fade away with a few other grunts doing similar across the city. The Snagems would need to pick up the pace if they wanted to keep this chase from becoming a recovery mission for a later date.

Scrambling as she saw her Pokeballs inside the strange circle that Odd had created, Aria would release her Noivern and hop on before asking, "Alright, anyone need a lift? We're getting there ASAP!"

------

Just at the gate to the city, Leslie would put her hands on her knees before taking a few deep breathes in efforts to catch hers. Why did that run have to take so long? Why couldn't they just let out Pokemon now and finally go loud?

Isaac Hawking

"Well, that's not good," Isaac remarked to himself as he watched the overwhelming tide of green cells flood out of the city. As he peered at the path the cells were taking, absentmindedly scratching Konrad behind his pair of massive ears all the while, he tracked the probable destination of the rampaging swarm. "Crap," he muttered, grimacing as he reached his conclusion, unsettling as it was. Clasping tighter to his Noivern, he addressed the swooping bat, "Konrad, let's get ahead of this swarm. I want to beat it to the next location." As Konrad executed a banking dive, powerful wings flapping furiously to outpace the churning green tide, Isaac clenched his teeth in worry. The rising pit in his stomach wasn't only due to Konrad's high speed maneuvers, but also the bad feeling he ws getting about their destination, Geosenge.

Odd groaned as the cells escaped his Guardian Halo. "I figured that would happen...." He muttered as he released the energy bound into the spherical form. Guardian Halo was good for defending him from things Wonder Guard would block out and for forcing spirits to follow the rules but that was about all. The instant a Core began thinking for those single-celled segments of Legendary Pokemon, the shell was useless against them. But perhaps he wasn't done yet?!

"Chorale! Block!" He called out, releasing his Froslass from before. Perhaps she wasn't the most powerful Pokemon he had but she was one of the few who could halt an enemy's retreat.

Unfortunately, by the time the Froslass had appeared and attempted to cut off the Cells retreat, they had already gotten away. And more importantly, there were now Flare goons present. "Wonderful!" Odd cheered as he directed his two Pokemon towards them.

"Huh?" They were already leaving? That fast? They had only just begun their attack when they all began to flee although it did look more like a chase than a retreat. "Are they-?" Crap!

"Come on!" Lykas called out as he raced past. "I heard one of them say they were going to Geosenge." he said as he jumped off of Sphynx, recalling the Luxray as she spun around, possibly taking Aria's ride right out from under her. Releasing Mykel from his own Ball, Lykas gave the directive. "Teleport to Geosenge!"

Odd had just enough time to recall his Pokemon before he was whisked away by the Psychic-type.

A few moments later, they three would appear, though not where they'd expected. "That's the Tower of Mastery...." Lykas noted, looking out over the bay in Shalour City.

"What happened?" Odd asked, looking towards the southwest, where Geosenge should be located.

"I have no idea but we should still be closer than the others. Maybe we can set a trap for Flare? Or do something about that Zygarde." Lykas replied, holding up a Master Ball.

"....." Odd stared at it for a moment. "There's no way.....I don't think it would work on it unless it's in a solid form and even then....."

"There's no guarantee of success even with this." Lykas finished. "If it works, though, we'd actually have a degree of control, then. No chance it could run away again or that it won't listen, right?"

"I'm not sure.....But we'll save that for a last resort. Only if there is no other way to stop it." Odd pressed, releasing his Drifblim.

"Can you please tell me you have an idea about putting that Zygarde back together and under wraps because this has gone on long enough." Freth said. "Either way, I'll take my own way."

The Snagems would quickly arrive on the scene as the cells began to organize around the stones of the city, recreating the tribal dance that they had attempted earlier inside of the Terminus Cave. This time, the energy would not gather in the midst of the cells and instead would begin to suffuse the stone constructs to make them glow. A few Flare grunts would charge towards the dancing cells and cores before stones from the ground would fire up and slam into the grunts as more cells began to slowly be drawn out from the ground. Eventually, a bright flash would erupt through the area before the dancing cells disappeared.

Now, rather than the barrage of dancing cells, there would be a massive snake-like construct staring at the gathered people. Now was their opportunity to capture...whatever the hell this new thing was.

Keiko panted as she reached the entrance of Geosenge Town. "Oh, man, why do the routes in this region have to be stupidly long?" she whined. As it turned out, she stopped right in front of the alley I was hiding in.

"Maybe you wouldn't be feeling so worn out if you used your hoverboard, Snagem girl," I responded, still hidden under my Sir Dynamite costume.

"Huh? Where have you been all this time, Terashi!?" Keiko shouted, catching me off guard.

I facepalmed at myself. "Right, I guess you WOULD recognize my voice." I grumbled. "I've been keeping close watch of the Zygarde horde as it did it's thing. Doesn't look like I made much difference, though. The whole team's already here."

"Oh," Keiko said. "But what's the deal with that outfit? You look like-"

"A stick of dynamite?" I asked, smirking underneath my mask. "That's kind of the idea."

"I was going to say you look like Chaos," Keiko retorted quickly.

"Chaos never covered his face," I snapped back just as quickly. "He never hid his identity no matter who knew about his past crimes." I sighed then, and leaned against a wall. "I don't blame you for not remembering. You were in a relationship with Aluette Renard when I picked this costume out."

"Oh, yeah!" Keiko exclaimed. "The Black Brigade thing that Sub randomly pulled out of his butt!"

"There was a reason for it," I told her. "But that's not really important right now."

"But why are you wearing it now?" Keiko asked worriedly. "I don't remember anyone talking about doing this sort of thing for this mission. I mean, it all happened kind of fast, but-"

"I know for a fact that the Kalosian Government has Team Flare in their pockets," I explained. "Opposing Team Flare is the same as opposing the government by now. I'd rather avoid being branded as a criminal."

"Kinda wish I had a costume, now," Keiko sighed, agreeing with me.

I was about to comment on that when a noise distracted both of us. The noise led both of us to the rest of the team, where the Zygarde cells combined to make some kind of snake-like monster.

"Keiko," I said before letting Rala out of her ball.

"Right," Keiko shouted, letting Natalia out of her ball in the process.

"Confusion!"
"Confusion!"

Rala and Natalia both used warped Psychic energy at the Zygarde with the intention of weakening it. That would be the easiest way to capture it, after all.

Not really getting an answer to her question, Freth followed along until finally landing on scene, and...getting a shock to her hybrid instincts. Zygarde's presence didn't come off that strong until now, not even when it looked like a hound. "...now I got something to hold over Blizzard's head when we get back to HQ..." she said to herself. That said, the question was would this thing be able to be captured? Did they really want to attack that thing to weaken it to put it into a Pokeball for that matter? It started to come off as they might have to, considering that they have done nothing to get on the Zygarde's good side that she can tell.

Freth then went wide-eyed, hearing the attack calls from Rala and Natalia. "Oh crap..." This was probably going to upset it.

Before Rala or Natalia's attacks could hit Zygarde, they'd be met with the body of a familiar Snagem, the Ghost channeler in question doing his best to contain the small scream of pain that tried to burst from his lips, the aid of his partner's energy helping to reduce the damage caused to him but not as effectively as someone like Sub. "Zygarde!" He called after a moment of wheezing, trying to get his breath back after that. "No. Zac." He corrected himself, looking up at the immense snake-like creature that now stood before him. "We really do want to help with whatever you're so determined to do. But we need you to stop destroying things and communicate with us somehow. Tell us what it is that you want or need us to do!" He pleaded with it, hoping against hope that his actions would get through to it at this point. And then the purple ball soared in out of nowhere, aiming to strike at the legendary Pokemon.

"Seriously?!" Quick to grab a ball from his belt he released the Pokemon inside, his Cofagrigus making an appearance. "Protect!" He ordered, pointing to the uncharged Master Ball. Baroque nodded and raced into the ball's path, where he rapidly wove his shadowy arms together into a shadow-y Protect-charged wall. Lykas' Master Ball bounced harmlessly off the wall and fell almost directly into Odd's hands. "I'm keeping this after that stunt!" He shouted at the hybrid, shoving the ball into his pocket for now as Baroque returned to his side.

The Zygarde would examine the area around him, seemingly still searching for something. However, it seemed the strange creature was content to hold his ground for the moment. That moment was broken by the sudden hail of fire from the gathered Snagems that made the serpentine Legendary recoil away from the people. Zygarde would begin to glow green as it took aim towards the ones attempting to assail it, cells firing off from its body rapid fire in an effort to blind and assault them. Before long, the hail of cells would cease but it would be due to the fact that the Zygarde was now gone. Only some disturbed ground beneath where it had previously been to mark its original location.

----

Heaving in breaths as she stumbled into the town square, Leslie would glare at her surroundings before yelling at the debris. She had been so late since she was clueless about everything going on and now she was stuck in Lumiose City. Slamming her secondary mouth into a nearby power pole, she would glare for a moment longer before a Claydol appeared next to her and they both disappeared.

----

The Flare grunts, who had been quietly moving to surround the gathered Snagems, would snap to attention as a panicked voice shouted over their comms. "Teleport Scrambler down!" The female voice yelled, the grunts all wincing slightly from the high pitch. Taking advantage of the distraction, Leslie would pop into existence in the middle of the Snagems with a confused look on her face before the entire group was teleported out of the area.
