Isaac Hawking "What?" Isaac shook his head in confusion. Cera's message was clear, but still, he wasn't ready to believe that Aile had turned against Snagem. As he looked out at the enveloping smoke, he coughed. Didn't Flare have any other plans other than vomit smoke and run away? Regardless of his annoyance, the smoke was certainly proving effective in disrupting the Snagem's efforts, and probably causing more than a bit of friendly fire. Time to be rid of it then. "Again, Konrad," he said, and the little bat flapped up off his shoulder before whipping up another whirlwind, clearing away the obscuring smoke. Tesei Utakata Glancing around as chaos erupted from the surrounding group, Reno would focus quickly onto the new target: Kayvaan. He had named the little blob it was after and he was not going to let Aile's traitorous butt get him. Quickly latching onto Harleen, he would glance over at Ezekiel and point towards the Regirock. "Kill it." Reno growled as he faded into existence elsewhere, directly in the path of the Greninja's tongue. Latching onto the appendage with his left hand, Reno would yank on the tongue as he brought his right hand, with glowing palm, aimed to slam into the Greninja's face. He hoped. The smoke would blow away to reveal Water Shuriken in the black Greninja's hands, who looked slightly harmed and more annoyed than anything now, aiming at the person who currently held his tongue with his prize. The Shuriken would be thrown at Reno's robotic arm, at the three major joints before sending out a point blank Hydro Pump to get away from his grasp, and create some distance between him and the rest of the party. Darksol88 Immediately, Cera would have a new plan, throwing an Aura Sphere directly at Aile's Regirock. Several of them in fact. "Aile, what the hell!?" The team would see a kneejerk reaction from her as she spoke up to everyone else. "Everyone, strike Aile down where she stands! Don't let her leave alive!" This would've went much better had there not been smoke causing things to rapidly turn in Flare's favor. Still, the tone in Cera's telepathy was clear; Aile was now a traitor and deserving of little more than death, at least as far as she was concerned. Tesei Utakata The Houndoom would respond quickly, as a gout of Flamethrower erupted out of the Fire type to engulf the rock monster. Shuffling around to keep the Regirock's back to the rest of the group in an effort to give them flanking on the legendary. Regirock would groan a bit, if the noises it made could be taken as groans, as the barrage of Aura Spheres hit it in various parts of its body. A step back would be taken as Ezekiel would breathe his fire at the golem, but before he could make a full flank, another fist would be pounded on the ground, another Stone Edge appearing out of the ground in front of the Mega Houndoom to stop its charge. The same fist would be lifted up to slam down on the hell hound, dropping a Hammer Arm attack. Not a Noise Rhyme caught Aile's look and...something wasn't right. Something didn't feel right by the glances, and her suspicions were confirmed when the other took out a pokemon and it...vanished. Rhyme stepped backwards, away from the absolute chaos and melee before her arms were suddenly empty. Empty of the core that sent out muffled, scared pulses of energy, and Rhymes' eyes widened, then narrowed. The girl couldn't Spark the Greninja because it was holding the Core, and its smokescreen caught her fully, causing her to go down into a coughing fit. "Why...!" She managed to get out, and when figures were clearer the little hybrid was sparking, glaring at Celosia. Anger couldn't solve problems, and she forced the sparks to go down. Neither was blindly flying in there....Hand curls around a Pokeball, her brain filtering through her current team before being stopped by a round of dizziness. She staggers, coughing again, tearing up from the smoke because gosh its horrid... Atlantis_Darts Amaranth's slight push did little to dissuade the rocky blades from impacting the Giratina hybrid, though it did keep the damage from being something devastatingly crippling the rocks bounce him back and forth, his championship hitting the ground with a heavy sounding 'thud' as he makes a diving leap for his egg that had almost scrambled itself all over the rock face right before another Stone Edge smashes into him, the impact of the powerful Legendary causing him to cradle the egg underneath his chest as he slams from stone to stone, ending up on his back with what seemed like a fresh set of bruises rising on and under quite a few parts of his jacket. "Hah.... Hah..." He wheezes, trying to catch his breath. The sheer power of a legendary sneak attack had caught him completely off-guard. Upon hearing Cera's cry to battle, he attempts to pick himself up to compy with shaky arms but the complete blindside of the thing had hammered him, leaving one question running through his brain. Why Aile? Why? Extremelictor Kains ears would perk at the sound, an order finally. In all his confusion Kain could only act on what little info he knew about the situation, but now his sights are aimed and Cera pulled the trigger. Kain would dart throught the crowd of flares, grabbing at every silhouette pulling their necks backs reavealing their face. Each horrified face would glow from the pulsing redish pink eyes of decaying man, his large yellish teeth like rows of daggers nipping. Grabbing one after another Kain would catch and release like a fisher man, knowing his one target. Than he saw her, through the cloud, the red haired traitor. "Tears, John Tears, John" He lunged with a full force but was stopped inches before grabbing at her small body, something had his leg a bear trap... no... a mawile. Finally the pain flooding to Kain forced out a belting roar over the entire battle. the Metal beast had his leg and with a bite so tight I caused him to curl and tighten. Without a word needed Lume floated down and unloaded a flame thrower over Kains leg, forcing a nearly as loud second roar. Inevitably Kains leg and pants where on fire, lucky that was a pain mild enough he could mostly ignore. Aile would jump backwards from Kain, her hands disappearing inside her jacket for a moment before two throwing knives would be seen flying out of it, aimed right above Kain's knees, trying to immobilize him. She'd then turn her gaze to Regirock, who paused for a moment before holding its free fist out for her to climb onto, lifting her up onto its shoulder away from the other Snagems. The woman would then look at the others while bringing a large white envelope out of her jacket, holding it in the air somewhat. "Why, Rhyme? Well, they happened to give me an offer that I just couldn't ignore. I just had to help secure the core for my initiation. I do wish there was a better way to go about this, but..." A small, short laugh would leave Aile's mouth as she returned the envelope into her jacket. "Devon had to get you lot involved. Now then, I believe it would be time for me to say adieu. Kayvaan, hand them the core!” She’d point the frog over to the Flares, who were now beginning to recall their Pokémon. Once he joined up with then, Aile would nod and bring down her goggles. Sand would begin to erupt from various places on the golem and begin to swirl around as winds kicked up around the Snagems, a massive Sandstorm growing. As it grew in severity, Regirock would charge forward with Bulldoze, making its way away from the Snagems and following the Flares that were now taking off in their vehicles. Between the blinding sand and the growing momentum of the legendary, they'd be quite hard pressed to catch up.

Aile would get a sudden remark from Cera, spoken only to her and clear as day despite the howling sands. "I hope we never see you again," she began, a tone in her voice suggesting that any chance of the Mew wanting anything to do with her again was forever severed. "Because if we do and I'm alone with you, the only thing that'll keep me from making you wish I simply killed you will be to kill me first. I don't care about any reasons you have, your life and mind are officially forfeit."
After a moment, Celosia and any Flare grunts with her would also receive a sudden message. "Oh, and you lot. Consider this an open invitation. Come at me, let's see if you can actually catch me this time. I do hope you won't show any mercy, because I won't."
Amaranth would be left shaking, her and Togekiss tossed to and fro and cut up too much from the Stone Edge to give chase or try again to strike at Aile and unable to really see in the sand anyway. Both of them were confused at what had just happened all the same, and while they didn't have the same anger that Cera assuredly had, they weren't too thrilled at being blindsided like that but someone they thought was one of them. "Was she with them this whole time?" She asked simply.

He looks at the little egg somewhat fondly as he's happy to find it undamaged. "You saved me!" He croons to... himself, shaking Eggy back and forth. "Well gee." Darts says, shaking his head. "Here I thought you were going to make some kind of egg crack." "That's not funny." Ignoring the rambunctious egg voice for the moment, the Giratina hybrid gets to his feet and ambles over to retrieve his Under King belt from the grass it was lying in following his Regirock ambush. He picks the thing up and slings it over his shoulder again, dusting a few blades of the stuff off of it as he regroups with the others. Off in the distance, traveling at a speed almost too hard for his eyes to track was a Sandstorm he knew contained someone he had considered a friend when the chips were down. Even though he knew he wouldn't be able to catch a legend at that velocity he still flexed his phantom wings a little, the pair materializing and waving slightly in anticipation of its master's command. Still... why Aile? And what did they want with that Core? Something about the lack of satisfaction was going to bother the Giratina hybrid for a while, he knew. But as he looked around at the group of Snagems all of whom were probably equally blindsided by all of this as he was, he shook his crest. They had more important things to tend to for right now. He wanders over to the rest of the group and shakes his head at Amaranth's comment. "I'm not sure what to think right now." The hybrid admits, at a loss for words for once in his life.

"We just got blinded by... THAT thing, one of our own, and they're taking off and maybe laughing at us for being played like an orchestra," Amaranth spoke up, having dealt with enough joke omelettes for one day, let alone with what just happened. "And you're choosing now to make another egg pun!?" Cera, for whatever reason, seemed to just ignore the puns, adjusting the odd egg she had been carrying this whole time. "She's dead," she answered as she looked to Darts. "That's what to think right now. Must've been with them the whole time and made herself just believable enough to think nothing of her Kalosian heritage and that she might be a double agent. Whatever, her intentions are clear. We've never had a member in our team named Aile, got it?" She asked, silently hoping it'd somehow reach GRAY to strike the records and take no chances. Telepathy had a hard time reaching AIs, however.

Reno barely had time to react to the flurry of Water Shuriken, flashbacks to the last time this situation had occurred hampering his movements beyond even what his slow reaction time could muster. This translated into two of the three shuriken slamming home with whining metal from where they impacted while he managed to block the final one with his Psy Palm and erupt the projectile with an energy spike.
Ezekiel stood no chance when the Regirock turned its full attention onto him. Without some cover, the type advantage and the corralling by the Stone Edge made the Hammer Arm that crushed him impossible to avoid. A similarly painful thud would be heard as Reno was slammed into a nearby tree from the Water Pump. Doing his best to recover quickly, Reno would attempt to get some vague reading on Aile's mind before she disappeared with her Regirock. The best he got was...something involving friends? Or was that family? Maybe it was her Pokemon for all he knew, because he only received a split second insight of familial caring feelings when the envelope was out and then it was gone.
Looking to his left arm and finding the metal appendage dangling lifeless, Reno simply sighed before adjusting a few pieces and letting the broken limb drop from his attachment. Carefully making his way to Amaranth's side, he could only stare after the roving sandstorm. "No. Whatever is in that envelope, it means more than money or anything for her. I think. I had a millisecond to get a read, but I know for sure that that envelope should be the cause of this." Reno responded, carefully raising his hand to line it up with the roving convoy before a bright blue ball manifested at the end of his arm and fired off into the wilderness after them. He knew that it wouldn't even make it most likely but it just felt right to do. He would shoot a knowing glare at Cera as he heard the powerful mental screeches she was erupting with, making a mental note to tell Darts that packing Cera's Master Ball might need to be mandatory for the foreseeable future.

Rhyme was almost scared by the amount of hate she felt. It roiled inside her like a bad thunderstorm, the clouds gathering quickly. The Core had done nothing to Aile. For someone to be so consumed by power...and she...she had...
She bit back the sob, pulling on her own to avoid being hit, her words caught in the knot in her throat, bracing herself as the Sandstorm rose, and then fell....
She couldn't stop her trembling after, even if she wanted to. All of the emotions inside her head were drowning her. So many things at once, so many...she remembered at one point that someone called her a stupid child in her past...and she remembers that this world is far bigger than she knows.
"...I-I'm sorry...." She's apologizing to the disappearing trace of the Core who calls out to her, she's apologizing to her team for failing, shes apologizing for getting them all started in this mess. She had to help fix it--she'd feel so guilty if she didn't...and yet...
Everything about her felt so gross. She just helped team Flare. She tucks herself into her sweater to wipe her eyes, trying not to listen to the others, ears flattened against her head when turned from them..
She couldn't even give herself that advice she always used to help others, she was that upset.

It would take a moment for his attention to divert away from Cera, but Reno soon found himself focused onto the small bundle huddled away on the ground. Crouching down and wrapping his singular arm around Rhyme, he would carefully lift her up in his arms while holding her close to him. "Hey there. I know you feel bad about losing the little guy. So do I." He said soothingly, a solemn smile crossing his face. "But if there's one thing I've learned from all of these crazy adventures, its that he'll pop up again. And when he does, I'm gonna tell you a secret. I named it Zac and it liked it, so now its got a name."

"...Walk it off, everyone. We're heading back to HQ. Now. Save the crying for then," Cera remarked, her tone growing cold. Anger and budding hatred were ever-present in the way it carried, and right now, she wasn't in a mood to be anywhere near her usual self. Team Flare had managed to do something not even Cipher had managed to do; they forcefully let out just how serious she could be. How ready she was to fight, and why that would be a dangerous thing.
"And before anyone else thinks we've failed or played into their hand, it happens. Take it out on our enemies and get ready." She took off without another word.
Eventually, Amaranth would do the same and fly off on Breeze, despite the Togekiss being in rough shape.

The girl flinches on instinct at the harshness of Cera's words, but the truth in them rips her asunder far more than she realizes. She's aware of someone lifting her and it isn't her dragon mentor; no, its a newer face, who smells of metal and human and she buries her face into his chest. "We...have to get Zac back. We have to...I can't...let her win." She wants to go home now, more than ever. She wants to just curl with her pokemon, get GRAY to fix her SNAG, and plan when she feels that her emotions won't cross into it too far. "I can...get Aria...to bring both of us home...?"

She'll end up staring into space, resting against the other because its the only way right now she's able to function as the bird flies up and carries them both back to HQ.

With the Beartrap of a pokemon running with its master leaving Kain downed, as to gravel and unsatisfied face. Currently on fire He would pull the throwing stars from each knee, "I-I was so close. I ALMOST HAD THE b***h! I-I'm sorry... I'm sorry I couldn't get to her in time." With the last gush of blood from Kains knee, and a fire patted out, He loosely stood up and followed the others out. However with weak knees Kain grabbed onto Cera, taking the long walk of the most unjust victory.
