Tipsy Hellraiser

NO s**t! They're my boys! Of course they'll win their way in! Shouting at the dark-maned lion's retreating backside as she slid to the ground stiffly, Furikuken's gaze narrowed with outrage. Seriously?! Who does he think we are? I just kicked his a**! I hope he goes blind in that eye!

Snorting in a huff, the patchy female didn't seem to notice the golden physique that helped hold her upright as she made her way deeper into the pride, complaining the entire way about her encounter and the stranger's bad attitude. ..but of course, I'd probably be in a piss poor mood too if I got beat up by a girl. Probably slunk off to hide before any of his buddies could see what a mess he is!

Jua chuckled quietly from where he walked beside Riku, her shoulder was pressing uncomfortably into his ribs where she leaned against him, but he didn't mind. Though she wasn't complaining about it, he could tell in the methodical placement of each paw that she was making extra effort not to trip and fall in her weakened state. She was nothing if not a proud lioness and falling on her face would have been mortifying for her, not that Jua would see that happen. As much as I love to hear you talk s**t, could you shut up for a while? If you pass out before we get you to a medic you won't be able to convince the healers you actually won your challenge..

Pausing for a moment he glanced toward the dark figure looming a few paces ahead when he stopped abruptly. Val?

Taking over the lead of the group, broad shoulders swayed in a lazy, lumbering motion. For as big as he was and the unhurried way in which he approached life, most would have thought Valhalla was about as quick as a turtle. Those who attacked him with that mentality often discovered otherwise. In the dark of the forest he didn't trust his eyes but rather his ears and nose to lead them. Not that he couldn't see well enough. Having grown up with a blind father, Val had learned to use his eyes only as an aid to his other senses, so when he felt, more than saw the dark figure lurking between the body of the forest, he drew his head up and held his body tall.

Someone else is here. He murmured, though there was no fear in his voice while his nose sucked deep lungfuls of air. The scent he could smell was faint, but there was no iron taste of blood. It was someone other than the male they had just ran into.

Oh Jua. Riku will never let you live this down. XD

As the battered lioness shouted and raved behind him, Ragnvard ignored her. He had done his duty, he had enjoyed the fight and had no more use for her or her big mouth. It wasn't up to him to keep the other lions out. Let some other reaver have the fun of battle. Glancing across he paused to peer into the trees, spotting the dark shape of a reaver he knew only by reputation, though he had seen the male with Svana several times and knew the young male was part of her band. Wrinkling his nose he ignored the pitch black male and continued on, though a flick of his tail stayed the bird that had been about to launch off its perch to follow him. Haki would stay behind to monitor the other two rogues and report back to him with the outcomes later on. That big male still intrigued him.

Haki frowned down at the big lion below him, but he knew that if he disobeyed, he would pay for it later so with an annoyed ruffle of his feathers he chirped a soft sigh and settled back down, turning his dark gaze down to the three lions moving slowly along in the wake of his Master. As they moved, Haki hopped from branch to branch, wings spreading to glide between the larger trees as he tracked the three newcommers. He had no idea why ragnvard was interested in them, but it was not worth Ragnvard's ire to sate his curiosity. Clicking his beak with resentment he hopped again. Ahhh, here came Rook. Grinning he shifted along his branch more eagerly. Haki liked the silent young male, and wondered what he was going to do about the two rogues escourting the newly-made Stormborn female.

* He is a reaver, just waiting on his cert

Rook had heard the commotion of a fight in progress. It was not an unfamiliar sound after all, rogues challanged the Stormborn boarders all the time, either trying to get in and join up, or seeking revenge and retribution for wrongs done to them in the outlands. So it had hardly been cause for concern or investigatino, had he not scented three strangers instead of just one. But again he wouldn't usually have bothered himself with the situation, after all a good reaver should be able to see off three rogues. But the scent of blood had bene thick and heavy in the air. Huffing a deeply grieved sigh he bent his path towards the disturbance, arriving in time to see the rusty red Captain leaving the blood-smeared clearing. Obviously he had given one of the rogues a good fight, but there were two more still to deal with and Ragnvard seemed utterly unconcerned about them. Snorting with irritation he rolled his dark eyes. Just typical. Rook disliked the red male on principle alone, and the very rare times they had run across one another hadn't improved Rook's opinion in the slightest. It looked like he would have to pick up where Ragnvard had left off.

Annoyed by the idea of cleaning up after the red captain, Rook shadowed the three rogues for a short distance until finally one of them spotted him. He had hoped they might just turn around and leave, but it seemed the Stormlords were not listening this day. For the biggest male stopped and turned towards where he stood. Sighing again, annoyance building briefly in his breast, the ebony reaver stepped forwards.

"Are you going to Challange?" He asked in a disinterested tone, his voice shockingly rasp-like given his obvious youthfulness. It was the voice of a battered veteran, not a young male still coming into his prime. Rook was as muscular and tall as all his kin, with a life time of fighting evident in the rippling muscle that shifted under gloosy black fur. He had few scars in comparison with many of the pride, but that was down to his taciturn and withdrawn nature rather than an indication of any lack of fighting prowess.
