[PRP] Checking Things Out - Faudi x Ameretat x Rahisi

"Ameretat, wait up!"

An orange lioness came clambering after a guard. "Rahisi. You want to see more?" Ameretat was growing accustomed to the villagers request of escort. The last few times the orange lioness had gone out on her own she had been found and could have potentially been mauled. This wouldn't be so bad, except she was mated to a council member. It made her something of a higher priority, so to speak.

"Well, if you're coming, then come."

Ameretat wasn't unkind, but she certainly wasn't in the mood for this kind of play. There were things to be done, none that couldn't be done with the company of others, but she was mildly annoyed the nonetheless.

"So what are we doing? Where are we going? Did you find anything new?" The armored lioness cringed at each question that bombed her ears. The only outward appearance of her feelings were her ears flicking back occasionally which Rahisi summed up to her scouting/listening. "We haven't found much that isn't new. Currently though? We are just taking another peek, checking for any outsiders that may have wandered into our midst."

"Ahh."

Rahisi made the sound as though she truly understood what they were doing, but instead her attentions were sent else where. She had heard something.

Faudi had taken more to wandering on his own, exploring the land. He liked talking to the other members of the pride, and he was fortunate that his idle chit-chat and curiosity was technically part of his job description. It had taken him a while to get used to his council position, but he was feeling more comfortable with it by the day.

Today was no different, though there was always promise of something new and exciting to happen. So far, he had chatted with a few of the others - mostly small talk, but as they went about their day, so did he.

So he found himself wandering. Drifting without really paying attention to where he was going or doing as he moved along within the pride's lands.

"Psst. Ameretat.. did you hear that?" The armored lioness turned her head to gaze at the, now, shaking orange lioness. The drama never seemed to stop with this one. Moments passed and the lioness prodded at Ameretat again,

"What is it!?"

The words came out a little more aggressively than she had liked, but what was done was done. Or at least so said the look on Rahisi's face. "Okay, what is it?" Now she listened, staring at nothingness behind the pair of the,. Then she heard it, a casual walk it seemed. Likely one of the pride members as there had been no attempt at concealing the sounds, nor were they at a running pace. Nothing entirely alarming, given they were still within the borders.

"You worry to much, but to ease your mind why don't we go and check it out? You had been the one wanting to seek an adventure, no?" Ameretat teased Rahisi plainly. This wasn't ideal and if something happened she was sure that Throek would have her head, but at this point she considered it well worth the risk. Still, she assessed the situation, calmed herself and centered her mind. She was sure it'd be someone they'd recognize, but one couldn't be to careful.

"Hello?"

Then his scent hit her. She smiled warmly and almost laughed. Okay, where was he?

Faudi continued to walk. He would have wandered even further out, but there was a voice? His ears flicked, and his attention zeroed in on it. He could place Ameratat's voice immediately.

The splotchy lion walked towards the pair, meeting the two in the middle. "Hello!" He greeted cheerfully, having shook himself out of his reverie. That happened sometimes, getting lost in his thoughts. He glanced between the two ladies.

"What brings the both of you out here today?" He asked, curiously. He knew Ameratat sometimes escorted others around, especially because the land was still unfamiliar to a lot of the pride. Faudi was used to the open lands though, so it didn't bother him like it did the ones born inside of the mountain.

Ameretat gathered herself before she accidentally spits out words she was sure she would regret.

"I was going out for my daily familiarizing trips near our borders and was asked, by Rahisi herself, to tag along." She feigned a fancy tone in a mocking manner almost, reminding the orange lioness of her dainty, unworking paws. The armored lioness was a little more rough this 'round of meeting Faudi, but just being near him had softened her edges a touch and she finished off by saying, "Of course it was my pleasure to see she was safely able to travel." A smile accompanied this statement.

Rahisi - eagerly spotting the fondness radiating from the kind words and smile on the face of Ameretat - stayed quiet for a moment. She was pondering her next words and decidedly wanted to present the armored lioness' actions as whole-heartedly kind, whether they were or not.

"She has helped me out plenty of times. You've traveled? You know the ways of the outlanders don't you?" She was sure he was probably asked this a lot, she didn't need details, but just a person to go to should she need to ask something.

Faudi gave a soft smile. "Trips to the border sound quite interesting. Mind if I tag along as well?" He asked the pair. Ameratat didn't seem to be enjoying herself quite so much, though. He hoped he wasn't crossing some sort of line.

His attention was drawn to Rahisi for a moment. He knew her really only at Throek's mate, and didn't know her terribly well so far.

"Oh yes, I grew up out there. It's quite different out there compared to living here so far," he informed the brightly-colored female. It wasn't all good, though he had some good stories to share regardless of the worse moments.

"You're more than welcome to join us."

These words were sweet and certainly not false. Ameretat enjoyed his company and would much rather of have him along for her walk than the companion she currently was doting around. "I'm not sure how long we'll be away for, you're okay to be dragged away for a little bit, Faudi?" Her concerns suddenly turned to the pride, what with their new ways of life and all she wasn't sure if there had been other things that may need him. Though she was sure she recalled Alduin mentioning there would be some free time.

Rahisi stayed unusually quiet as the pair spoke, silently recalling her first moments with Throek. She wasn't sure if the pair before her had the same intentions, but it was adorable none the less. "Well are you two love birds coming?" Her mind had drifted entirely from her questions addressed to Faudi, nor did she really hear his response. Her head was else where now, focused on other things, other tasks.

Ameretat stared, first at Faudi and then at Rahisi. Cheeks flared in a blush that made the lioness thankful she wore the bone armor that day. ".. Shall we?" She said, her voice a little more quiet. Without a response she moved away from Faudi to chase, at a walking pace, down Rahisi who had begun to sneak away after her comment.

"I'm alright to tag along, I have no prior engagements," He told her, nodding a bit towards Rahisi a bit to see if she was okay with this as well. When the orange lioness spoke, Faudi gave a smile towards the two ladies and nodded. "We're coming, we're coming," he placated Rahisi.

He chuckled as he followed the pair along, humming a little bit as he walked after the pair of ladies.

Ameretat could do away with Rahisi, do away with her and it was likely that not a soul beyond Throek`irid would care all to much, the simple Sahsunnar held more ranking than the council themselves! Or so it seemed, she hoped, since the prospect of families was coming up that this lion fell to a litter of cubs and perhaps grew up a small amount.

"Thanks."

She offered an apologetic smile to Faudi. Rahisi however was already on her way towards whatever had piqued her interest, it seemed plant life had been her fancy as of late and sure enough as Ameretat got closer she spied the lioness hunched over some colorful flower. "Y'know, flowers will kill you one day." She remarked upon her arrival.

"If they do, then you make sure I'm decorated with them." Brown eyes narrowed as Rahisi spoke to her companions. "I'd like the most bright and colorful funeral." She smiled. "The same as I'd love the most colorful home, though I'm sure Throek wouldn't agree." Ameretat smiled slightly at the blush that brightened up the lioness' face. It was interesting to watch her sometimes.

"Don't you worry, I'll be the first to place a colorful flower upon your body should you die the way I predicted." Then she ushered Rahisi forwards.

Faudi gave the orange lioness a kind smile. There were some flowers that were awful - some of them he recognized and other he didn't. He had been fortunate to avoid the most dangerous ones, but in his youth he found some that gave the most pleasant visions, or horrible waking nightmares. "Just be careful," He chided gently. "We'd like you to live for a long time coming, there's no need to rush death to your den." But he agreed, the most colorful flowers for a funeral he could do. He hummed softly, and followed the pair to their destination.
