Tàmhas was glad that the younger teen seemed so happy about the fencing set he'd made for her. "Ah sure did! Pa 'n' Maggey hae bin teaching me mair oan th' sword side, 'n' th' skinny-malinky ones ur th' hardest tae dae. Ah even did braun tests 'n' stuff, sae they're set tae be durable. Thay wur pure fin tae mak'." He grinned over, an aura of sunshine surrounding him as his golden eyes twinkled. He was so excited that she wanted to be the vice captain, and he was so proud that she'd be taking good care of the club.
She thanked him again, then wrapped her arms around him. Tàm set the box on the table and wrapped his arms around Liv, giving her a big ol' bear hug. "'n' ta! a'm pure happy tae bygae th' dancin tae someone yer maw cares sae muckle. Ah ordered some fencing guides fur th' dancin as weel, bit thay didnae reach arden in time. Pa is aff tae send thaim as soon as thay turn up. Fur noo, ah git some fae th' library." It was so nice to give someone a nice hug, especially one of his dear friends. Liv seemed to need a hug just as much as he did.

After a long day of classes, Tàmhas was excited to go to fencing club. Something about it was a pretty good way to get some stress out. That day specifically, he'd added his set of foils to his backpack, which he was lugging around school. Thankfully, despite the weight and tired, Tàm's bright smile was in place as he hummed along to a shanty stuck in his head. Once he'd made it to the room they always used, he worked on setting everything up. He set out the normal box of foils, all bearing his initials on the blade. He was glad he'd been able to make a whole new set of them for the club. After they were set out, he added the applications to the table, along with a few new books on fencing techniques he'd found at the bookshop in Arden.

Olivia dressed in her gothy active wear, accentuated with a corset that was laced up, then grabbed her custom made foils. She put on her jewelry and then headed down to the club. It felt weird to not be stomping around in her boots and wearing flat shoes, but Liv knew she needed good footing for this club. She hadn't gotten in much practice with her foil this summer since... everything that happened, but she intended to fix that this year during school. Especially since she wasn't planning on going home for winter break this year. She'd already requested to stay at the school this year so she didn't have to deal with her mother again until summer. Walking into the club room, she set down the box with her foils and walked over to Tàmhas. "Hey Tàm! Check it out!" She showed off her new piercings that Seb had helped her with. The teens had done an industrial piercing on both ears and she had matching black bars running through her ear. It had hurt like heck, but it looks great and she was impressed with Seb's skill.

This year Olivia was tasked with opening the Art of the Sword, since Tàmhas had graduated last year. She wasn't sure if anyone else was going to show up, since it had been just the two of them last year, but Liv was determined to keep the club going. Over the summer, she had shown her mom the custom foils that Tàm had made for her, and she had spent some time practicing her fencing techniques at the local gym. For club today, Olivia dressed in her gothic active wear set, wearing flats instead of her combat boots, then grabbed her foils. Tàmhas had left a bunch of foils he'd made behind for the club to use, but thankfully those were stored in the room where the club met up. She unlocked the door to the fencing room and propped it open, then set her foils down on a desk and sat on it, waiting to see if anyone was going to show up. She certainly hoped so, since she would feel bad if the club died under her leadership. Liv had remembered to post flyers for the club, so hopefully someone showed up. Maybe they'd get tricked into showing up like she had first year. But Liv had quickly taken a liking to fencing, so that was a big plus.
Erykah enjoyed fencing, she had been a casual member since she joined Hogwarts, but with Tam graduating...well she had to be there more seriously now she couldn't let Liv be in the club alone, she wouldn't let the club fade away into nothingness, nothing deserved that. She walked in to only have Liv there, giving Erykah a little bit more satisfaction that she had come for the first meeting. "Hi Liv, have a good summer? Anything exciting planned for this year?"

Roman had been looking into all the extra curricular activities to find things that interested him and when he'd heard about this sword club, he was intrigued. After asking around a bit, he found out it was about fencing, which was less cool, but still pretty interesting. He decided he might as well check it out. It was a little late at night, but that didn't bother him all too much. After wandering around the school a bit, he finally found the room that the club was hosted in. This school was really too big and had way too many hallways... Huffing a sigh, he entered to see two students already there. "Oh, hey there. I'm... uh... Roman Drayer. I think I've met both of you already. I transferred over from Salem." His Philadelphian accent definitely sounded different amongst the various British accents spoken by most of the people that attended this school. Though Roman had found his accent wasn't the only one different, such as the kid who spoke with a Russian accent and the girl with a Greek accent.

Peggy couldn’t resist the allure of the Hogwarts Fencing Club. It wasn’t just about learning the art of the sword—it was about the thrill of competition, the rush of a challenge, and the chance to show off her natural talent for picking things up quickly. She walked in with confidence, sure she had absolutely no idea what she was doing, but she would pick it up quick enough and she would look good doing it.
Peggy had entered while someone was introducing themself, Roman Drayer. "You came from Salem? Did you live near there?" She reached out her hand to Roman, to shake it as an introduction, "My name is Peggy Knapp, I spent the last, 4 years or so in the states, I probs would have went to the Salem Institute If I had stayed in America. Hey you might know my brothers! Liam and Lark? They both go there still!"

Liv breathed a little sigh of relief when people other than herself shoved up and popped off the table. First through the door was Erykah. She greeted Liv and asked about her summer and any plans for the year. "Oh yeah, summer was wicked. Got my eyebrow done," she said, showing off her new piercing. "My mum actually got hers done with me. She's actually pretty cool. Oh yeah, my war with mum is over, so that's good." Next through the door was the new kid, a transfer that Liv thought she met already. He introduced himself as Roman, but before she could greet him, another new kid, a firstie, followed him in and started asking him about Salem. Liv chuckled and crossed her arms over her chest.

Whoa, what was with the interrogation, was the first thought through his mind when the younger student started launching a line of investigations. "I'm from Philly, so like... not really. And yeah, I think I know them. It's a big school though so like... maybe?" He shrugged and glanced at the other two girls there. "So, this is like, fencing, right? Do we use real swords and all that jawn?" Liv glanced at Erykah for a second, then indicated the barrel with the fencing rapiers, before showing him her set of custom foils. "Cool, cool! That's something that Salem definitely didn't have. I gotta get me one of them jawns." Of course Roman hadn't had any experience with fencing before in his life, but he was certain he could pick it up pretty easily.
