Build: Tall and rather average in her physical shape. Scars/Tattoos/Ect: Liori has a lot of piercings... three decorate her nose on both of the sides, one in her lip, mirroring in each of her ears is a tunnel in her lobe with a small piercing just above it, and well some rather private piercings. All of these piercings are steel and painted gold. Her nails are always painted a pale red. Miscellaneous: She doesn't own very many outfits due to having been poorer than even dirt, so shes often forced to repeat the same one for days at a time. She keeps a pair of red hair clips handy at all time, even though her hair is too short to make use of them she keeps them around for sentimental reasons. Her favorite black shirt is almost always included in her outfits, its collar long since stretched out and often hangs off of her left shoulder. She wears a pair of tight shorts that fail to hold her large fluffy boxer shorts, her favorite pair being a nice red. Matching her favorite under garment is her thigh high red socks, made from the same material and color. For shoes she owns just one pair, a simple set of black sandals. For added protection she generally has a simple white chest guard on, along with a pair of dark gray arm guards. When not dressed for combat or general missions, she can be seen just wearing large shirts that hand just above her shorts along with her sandals sans the socks. Anyone looking closely would notice the careful stitching she has in almost all of her clothing, preferring to sew rather than buy a replacement.
Personal Skills: The only real skill Liori has that she'd deem worth mentioning is her eidetic memory, the ability to recall images, sounds, or objects in memory after only a few instances of exposure, with high precision for some time after exposure without the aid of mnemonics... a trait that rarely sticks with a person after childhood. Some less notable skills would be her ability to sew clothing back to near perfection, her ability to dance, and experience in raising a child... in this case her little brother after they were orphaned by Iwagakure. Shinobi Goals: Liori just wants to keep the free housing in all seriousness, shes had enough of living on the streets. A secondary goal is to use her status to gain access to the land of snakes and follow her hero's footsteps to become a snake sage. Relationship Status: Single and on the prowl. Personality:Liori is very erratic and crude, generally unwilling to bend to authorities or her betters if they don't give her the respect she belives she deserves. She doesn't often associate with others, preferring to carry out a task by herself believing others to be nothing but hindrances; only teaming up when it benefits her. She doesn't trust easily, with the exception of her younger brother and who he deems alright, because believes everyone is out for themselves and would rather distance herself before they toss her aside like trash in a gutter. It should be mentioned that she's a bit of a pyromaniac, she loves to watch flames go out of control and consume. She is very devout to her faith, often putting off tasks to meditate. Behind her harsh exterior though lays a frail mind, she cracks under pressure easier than most. While hiding behind a calm face she could be a storm of emotions thats she attempting to keep locked up so she continues to be seen the way she would like. When she reaches her breaking point her unrivaled tempter springs forth, leaving Liori blind to whatever she was doing attacking like a mad dog though usually this only extends to insults... She hasn't attack anyone physically yet. The quickest way to make her snap is Iwagakure, even the mere mention of its name with make Liori's blood boil hotter then any fire to the point that it wont even matter if your her ally or not, you better just let her burn herself out. This extends to anyone in support of that village, she will have no mercy when dealing with them often going to extremes to remove them from her sight. Traumas: Loss of her village, loss of a mother figure, the death of her father, and living on the streets of Kumogakure build up the backbone of why Liori is the way she is. History: Take a seat and let me tell you the tale of the Mundo family.
xxxxxLiori Quin Mundo was born to a small clan living in the Land of Earth. Her clan made its living in a small corner of Iwagakure hidden from most the village her family was apart of the Iwagakure's Explosives Corps, from assassination to demolition. Liori originally didn't show any potential for Bakuton, forcing her to be the clans house keeper. She led a quite life until her little brother was born, her mother had cheated on her father. Her father had his suspicions but it wasn't until his 'sons' test showed that he wasn't a member of the mending hands section of the clan but rather of the explosive skin. Her father was furious leading to them splitting up, her loving mother quickly showed her true colors not wanting anything to do with Liori or Gero, not even fighting her husband for custody. Things were rocky being Gero's older sister, she was jealous of her brothers knack for Bakuton but also felt a sort of resentment for tearing up their family. While things weren't great she quickly continued her quite life.. until the ripe age of nine when terror blew through the village. Someone of the clay mending mouths had gone rouge it seemed, bombs went off around the village causing dozens of deaths. The black ops were not able to catch the Bakuton user in the act thus the Tsuchikage had to make a tough decision, unless the clan turned over the killer the members of the mending mouth would be cast out of Iwagakure. When no one stepped up the decision was made for him, those of the mending mouth were exiled from Iwagakure, many members of the Explosive Skin left with them declaring that exiling one side of the Bakuton exiled both.
xxxxxThe clan started splitting up quickly as individual families began branching off with hopes of many of the different lands to make their mark. Liori, Gero, and their Father decided to head to Kumogakure. Nearing the border of the Land of Lightning they were stopped, Liori suddenly paralyzed with pain, her mending mouths were beginning to awaken. The pain was to much for her young mind causing her to pass out. When she awoke her family was in an inn, father scolding her brother for something before they noticed she was waking up. The mouth on her chest had opened up first, an anomaly within the clan being that its usually last and slowest. Having a new mouth rip open on her chest in an instant was surprising to say the least and the pain that came with it opening at one was well beyond a child's pain threshold. Liori was numb when she began sitting up, her shirt was stained with blood. Her father had sewed the mouth shirt per tradition, while she was asleep. When she tried asking why her father was so upset with Gero they both shot her down, telling her it wasn't her business.
xxxxxThe mouths in her palms hadn't opened yet, which had her father confused. he didn't want to leave the inn while she was at risk of passing out from pain... but the Iwagakure bombings had reached the small towns ears. He decided that it was a better plan to stay in the town and wait to be kicked out. Later that night when the family was sleeping a rock had been thrown through the window, a note attached. Her father urged the children to stay in bed while he checked it out. He carefully stepped around the glass, picking up the rock to read the note. 'We know what your kind did-' Is all her father read before a kunai entered the side of his throat. Liori and her brother watched has her father fell to the ground, blood spraying on Liori's bed as man entered the window.
xxxxxIn the dim light Liori could make out an Iwagakure headband, someone had tracked them down. The man looked between the kids deciding on taking out the boy first. As he wrapped his fingers around her brothers neck and lifted him in the air Liori's mind... broke. She let out a blood chilling screech as she charged the man, stepping on the glass as she jumped on his back. She wrapped her tiny hands around the side of his neck, the mending mouths tearing open and biting down on his flesh. Liori only came to her senses when she saw her brother cowering in the corner. She had torn out the mans throat, her hands covered in warm sticky blood. The inn's owners finally busted down the door to find two dead adults, one scared child, and one child drenched in blood. The towns law enforcers were forced to lock her up until they could question her brother. She was quickly released when it was shown that the she only killed in defense of her brother.
xxxxxThe two children buried their father the next morning with the help of the inn keepers. The owners offered to look after the two until they could contact their remaining family. Liori refused their help, telling them they didn't need help from a village who let her father be murdered. And so the two children left, Gero was reluctant to go but followed his sister anyways. They made it to Kumogakure's gates nearing a month later. They were out of food, water, and money... she didn't know how she was going to keep them alive in an alien city, in an alien country. The children found a corner in the cities slums, under an area where three roofs met. They weren't safe but at least they had protection form the rain and later snow. Liori quickly gained the reputation of being a thief, she stole a lot to make sure her remaining family stayed alive. Over the coming years she was banned from the market place, thrown in a cell numerous times while she saved money up for the pair to enter the academy.
xxxxxLiori had a tough time in the academy, being much older than most of her classmates she didn't fit in. She didn't mind though her brother seemed to finally be smiling again, and he had finally said his first words to her since the night at the inn. She finally felt like life was turning around for them, until she started to fall behind in the class. Being that her brother was the star of the class she needed to make sure he had his energy, so not only was she trying to study but she was still stealing to make sure they could eat. The day of the final test finally came her brother passed with flying colors, she was proud but she was also dreading her turn she was so busy getting food lately she hadn't had much time to practice. She failed her first two tries, finally creating a clone on her last chance before having to retake the class. She finally did it, she got her family back on its feet... well that's where her story starts during the trip to get her headband.

Ryūsei Sumasshu [Meteor Smash] Rank: C Type: Bloodline Element: Bakuton Description: The user wraps their hands or a single hand with their clay, hardening it quickly into a gauntlets. The gauntlets are able to explode, forwardly, with the force of [5] tags, increasing the force of the users punches greatly. When either hand is wrapped in the clay the user is unable to use the mouth to mend more clay... The plus side of this is the user is able to grab blades with minimal risk as chakra is constantly rotating around the clay acting as a minor shield for their hands against anyone trying to use chakra on their weapons to cut though it. Can only stop Bukijutsu techniques of C rank or lower with the clay. Will explode if hit by a Raiton jutsu of B or higher, damaging the user with [1] explosive tag worth of damage and anyone around with the force of [2] explosive tags... this will cause damage to the users hands, tearing and burning their skin in minor cases.
Bakuhatsu-Tekina Kōkei [Explosive Sight] Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Element: Bakuton Description: A variant on the technique Daisan no Me [The Third Eye]. The user molds their clay into a small eyeball with one of their mending mouths. Closing a single eye they form a connection between their ocular nerve and the lump of clay allowing for sight through the clay while the linked eye remains closed. The eyeball floats around the user if not under direct control, which can be achieved by hand movements, at a maximum of [1] yard. When under the control of the user's hand the eye can reach distances of [15] yards. The eyeball can then be attached to a creation made from C1, giving the user sight and control over the creation. This enables the user to look around area's they wouldn't be able to easily due to size or restriction. Useful for recon and general shenanigans can move anywhere in the thread the user is in, leaving said thread with the creation would require the user to follow it. Explodes with a force of [1/2] an explosive tag but if combined with C1 it increases the blast force by [1] whole explosive tag. After the initial post the eye requires an upkeep of [5] chakra for each additional post, if the technique isn't canceled by post six the upkeep will increase to [10] chakra per additional post.
Ryūsei Ame [Meteor Rain] Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Element: Bakuton and Katon Description: The user accumulates a large lump of clay, filling both mending mouths to the brim, before beginning the process of chewing and infusing it with Bakuton chakra for [2] posts. Once the process of molding it is complete the user expels the clay from their mouths into their hands for use. The user will proceed to throw the lump of clay high into the air using all their might, as it reaches its peak the clay lump splits into a mass of [150] smaller balls. The small lumps of clay proceed to rain down around the area, the users Katon chakra engulfing them in fire. The sky will look like a meteor shower for [2] posts as flaming clay rains from the sky spreading around an area of 200 yards if dropped from the sky but only a range of 75 yards if thrown from the ground. The clay will begin creating explosions of [1] tag upon contacting everything and anything in their path. The jutsu can also be dropped from the sky, assuming the user has the means (C2 for example would allow for such a feat), removing the need to leave themselves open while they throw it. This jutsu is usually used as a siege attack, sending a village into panic and leaving it open to attack. What it lacks in power it makes up for in sheer chaos factor. Can only be used in one thread at a time.
Maruton:
Noémi's Buzztacular Beennanza Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu/Taijutsu Element: Maruton Description: During a fight, or just before, Noémi relies on the one thing she can do without a second thought to boaster her own strength without the need of a set of hand signs. She uses the familiarity of puns to channel her chakra into her muscles. Each pun offers her stats a slight increase going up to a max of six increases, giving her a supreme boost to her stats. Once she reaches her supreme increase, her chakra will begin overflowing from her muscles and envelop her entire frame in her now visible honey yellow chakra. It wraps around her body like a chakra cloak. However it is unable to hold a steady shape and leaks some familiar shapes from her body: In the form of four beewings spread from her upper back and a pair of antenna out of her forehead. The chakra cloak in a way is purely cosmetic, doing nothing more than signifying how boosted she. A visual flag if you will. This cloak will stay active so long as she continues to say at least [1] pun per post. Failure to think up a pun will lead to her channeled chakra being disrupted and blown back on her own body. Conferring a stat decrease of 200% of what it was previously increased; in other words if she was at a positive supreme she would now be at a negative supreme. This decrease in stats will stick around for an equal amount of posts she used the technique... unless she happened to channel longer than [8] posts in which case it would be doubled in length. The technique can be canceled early if she stops at [4] puns, at which point she would loose the ability to preform the technique for [5] posts and the stat increases would vanish safely.

Shin had spent his childhood traveling with a band of wandering sages, under their charge he was able to interact with many different creatures. During his teens the sage's noticed his affinity with snakes, and under their resident snake sage he began his training. He bloomed at an unprecedented rate, his ability to use nature chakra had surpassed his masters. Soon they would agree to send Shin on his way to the land hidden betwixt the thorns the land of the snakes. He was given a map from the sages, showing him the hidden trails, and prayers for his safe journey. Shin spent many months fallowing the trails, crossing the different lands, experiencing things new and old. He finally arrived to the hidden land of the snakes. He spent his young adult life learning from the old snakes and fellow sages on their own adventures. Nearing the end of his training he encountered a elder snake he had not seen before, catching only the slimmest of a glimpse of its silver and black, burnt, scales.
Over the next few days he started seeing the snake more and more, just outside the clearing, darting betwixt the giant thorned vines. One day he decided to stalk the snake, he followed it the full day before he lost sight of the scales for just a moment and it was gone. He spent the remaining daylight listening, for a single sign of life among the dead vines. From seemingly nowhere a soft-warm voice brushed up against his ears. It complemented him on his ability to keep up with it and offered to let him follow it to its home. Shin quickly jumped at the chance to learn more about this mysterious snake. It moved slower this time, leading him deep into the vines, where the thorns were plentiful. They stopped at a large clearing, a single small pond rested in the middle, a single flower at its base. It was here that he learned his reason for living, why the nature chakra lead him down the path of the snake, why it bloomed so vigorously inside him. The small snake taught him how to enter his 'true' form, the snake welcomed him into the realm of the dragons, his skin not a pure white, skin now scaled and hard, horns reaching out from his skull and shoulders. It was then that the snake bit down on his stomach, its body melting into his own. The pain was enormous, his screams unable to escape the snakes clearing, the massive vines blanketing his voice to the outside world.
Shin awoke days later, his body reverted back. He looked around in a daze, the grass around his body dried and dead, the water blackened, the flower wilted. As he stood he realized the lacking weight to his body, his right arm was resting on the ground turned to stone. While he was out cold his body lost its control over the nature chakra a dangerous risk most sages these days learn to avoid. Shin felt strange though, a soft-warm ringing ached around his skull, unable to make sense of the voice like ringing he looked for his new mentor. The small snake was gone, his entrance into the clearing gone... Shin was locked in a thorned prison. He felt no panic, instead the ringing grew louder almost deafening. He felt as if he no longer had control over his body, it moved on its own lowering him into a sitting position. He closed his eyes and began to focus on the ringing his mind melding with it slowly. He felt his body start drawing nature chakra from the area almost on instinct. His eyes fluttered open as he felt a strange warm around his belly, the small snake seemingly growing out of his stomach, wrapping around his scaled white torso. The snake rested next to his ear, whispering him its secrets. Shin spent the reaming day listening to the snake, teaching him of his new form.
Shin emerged from the land of snakes a year later, his mastery of his new form granting more than just power. People seemed to forget his existence the moment their eyes moved off his cloaked face. It wasn't long before he started noticing people that didn't forget his existence, notably those no longer with a will to live. He would spend a single day with each of these walking corpses, learning their lives and granting their wish. He gave them a quick death, painless so that their suffering would not be extended to the land beyond. Over coming years he granted countless deaths, his heart heavy with peoples stories. It wasn't until the age of 75 that he came across a young shinobi from the land of Earth. She was brimming of life, her smile brightening up the slums he found her in. She grew up with death, Shin was surprised to find a child with the strength to face the day knowing she might be forced to live a short life among crime and filth. He watched her as he collected stories from those on their death beds, it wasn't until his final day in the small city that he noticed that she seemed to be watching him as well. As he was leaving he a tug on his cloak, the girl looking up at his covered face, curiosity beaming from her eyes. It was then that he was asked for his story, for the first time since he started his mercy killings someone wanted to know why he did. He felt his first laugh in ages escape from his aged lips. The child raised a brow to this, before she could ask again Shin raised a finger to his lips. He told her his story was long, and had lost its light along the way. But if she would like to still here it, she would have to trade him her story. The child led Shin back into the maze of alleys to her small hut hidden away in a corner. Shin listened to the child's tragic story, though it was full of death and unspeakable acts she never dropped her smile. When he asked her how she could still smile she told him that if she could lift a single persons spirits with her smile it would make her past worth it. Shin thought on what she said for a while, before giving her his story. When he finished the only thing the child said was thank you. Shin nodded before getting up to leave, he told her she had given him something to think on and that he should be thanking her instead.
Nearing the end of his life he settled down in the land of snakes, hidden way in his oasis of thorns and decay. It was then that he gave his thoughts on life, his story, and the names of everyone he granted mercy, writing down every single spark of an idea his brain had as the life slowly exited his body. His chakra began returning to the oasis the grass lifting up around him, the water returning to its pure blue. As he finished his writings he watched the small snake exit from his frail body, its burnt body returned to silver. The snake watched as Shin passed, his body falling to the ground... echoing no sound. And with that he was gone from this world returned to the soil he took his strength. Years later the girl had followed his footsteps, finding the land of snakes from the details of his tale he weaved for her. When she arrived she was greeted by the small silver snake from his tales. It led her with no resistance, to the small oasis the man held dear, his body gone returned to the ground. It was there that she found his stacks of writings, towing piles of pages and scrolls.
This girl grew to become the second monk of Chantarism, naming it after the snake that showed them both truth. She spread her idols words among the village of stone before branching out to the nomadic clans, showing them the truths she found in that oasis. That is however, as the story goes...
Followers of Chantarism believe that this plane of existence is just the last trial on the way to peace in the land beyond. They believe that death is not something that should be feared, in fact they believe that it is a persons right to chose when their live has reached its end. A Chantarist will grant a humble ear for ones story, and a death fitting it. A Chantarist will meditate on the stories they have heard throughout their lives every night, every time they take a willing life, and every time they set out on a journey. She's a little self conscious about her appearance because of it, but t only really shows when people stare at her for too long. The way it effects her fingers is in her opinion the worst so she keeps them hidden from sight at all times. She styles her outside eyelashes to look like she's a faerie, curl and everything. For a tattoo she has her clans insignia scribed on her right shoulder blade, it was something her father made her get when he started training her and her sister the family business. Miscellaneous: Compared to most Aburame she might as well be naked with how she dresses, but her father raised her and her sister in the Shounin no Gouzoku Clan way. Which meant being all covered up was a no no, to much clothing would weigh the clan down as he always said. It didn't matter to him that she had inherited their mothers bloodline, he was always firm with his decisions much to her mothers chagrin about Aburame tradition. The mainstay of her outfit is the two little bows holding up the buns on each side of her head, one of them her sisters and the other her own from when they were children. And the pair of black cloves covering most of her hands, she isn't a fan of how her fingers look with her skin condition where the patches of skin are far more erratic compared to the rest of her body. Resting around her neck is two necklaces, one made out of black beads and the other out of white beads. Covering most of her torso is a short robed kimono, plain white in design with gradient pink edges. Beneath the simple kimono lies her sleeveless undershirt, the right side of the clothing reaching down to her knee while the left side stops just at her hip. It is pattered to look like a vanilla wafer, but with the edging around her bust light pink. Holding the clothes on together is a simple obi, pinstriped and black it wraps around her midsection holding the section tight against her stomach. Wrapped around the obi is a striped white and pink sash, with a set of black beads weaved around the sash as decoration. Covering her legs is a pair of black short that stop mid thigh. Handing out from under her kimono on the left hip is another set of black and white beads, also only for decoration. Coming up half way of her calves is a matching pair of black socks. Resting over her feet is a pair of fancy large cuff white heels. The heels are both gray and her right cuff has a small pink bow resting against it.
Shinobi Goals: Her main goal in life is finding her twin sister, she figured being a shinobi would give her access to information that would allow her to do so. Relationship Status: Commitment issues. Personality: Noémi has always been a walking ball of sunshine, no matter how bad the day was going she could muster up some positivity. She pretty much had to if she wanted to survive the pressure her father always put on the twins. From the moment they could walk and talk they were expected to follow in his footsteps. It has led to her drastic difference in social temperance compared to her fellow Aburame clansmen. Where most are dark and broody confining themselves to being social pariah's with only their bugs to keep them company... she's instead is outgoing always ready to be the center of attention, with the added bonus of her bugs to keep her company if others refuse which is the best of both worlds in her mind. The ball of positivity that is herself always seems to have a smile plastered across her face, the only exception being during a fight. The smile, no matter its size, just tends to be infectious bringing up the mood of the room her mother always said it was a gift to always be able to cheer her twin up no matter how hard the day had been for her. Its probably the only reason she continues to hold onto that positivity like a life line, because it gives her a sense of normality in such a foreign world. Beyond all of her bubbly energy is the quick tongue she is so ready to unleash on any unsuspecting victims. She is a self proclaimed queen of puns, in her mind no one can dish them out like her. She doesn't know what it is about puns that appeals to her so much, or why she always seems to be able to fire them off without even thinking about it. You can usually tell if Noémi enjoys your company based on how often shes uses puns when communicating with you or how often shes just flat out sarcastic. This is the easiest way to tell if she either has no opinion of you or a low one, because she'll remain friendly to you no matter how low on her s**t list you are. She has a little internalized racism left in her system from being raised by her father, no matter who hard she works on changing herself the small seed of hate remains ever present. During combat she her cheery smile is replaced by a small frown. In her mind combat is an ends to a means, one of the two people in the fight are likely not making it out and to carry on that smile would be an insult to her opponent. For the same reason she ends fights as quickly as she can, the longer the fight the more likely Noémi could slip up and she still has things she needs to do on this mortal plane.

While shes fine throwing a punch at herself, some part in the back of her brain links her reflection with her sister causing her attacks to be hesitant no matter how illogical she knows it is. xxxxxUnder the stars of Scorpio, Noémi Clementine Lelièvre was brought into this world just a little bit before her twin Ciri Rose Lelièvre. Landing her the honorable title of technically older sister. She had inherited their mothers bloodline, the often feared Amarume Clan... whereas her sister inherited their fathers bloodline, Jiton of the powerful and influential Shounin no Gouzoku Clan. Even at a young age she could tell how hard it was for Ciri living in such a vocal family when she was robbed of her voice. Due to her sister being born mute Noémi stepped up to her technically older sister title and became the voice for both of them while they grew up if only to take some of the weight from Ciri's shoulders for a little bit. Being their family was rather strict with what they perceived to be 'proper' behavior from the girls she was often getting into trouble whenever she would correct someone for her sister. She was fine with it however, in her eyes she figured it was better to be scolded for a few minutes about her 'sass' than let someone assume they knew what her sister was trying to get across because usually it was in said persons best interest. Even then however her sister struggled to maintain the smile her father pressured them into keeping up, so to cope she made sure no matter how she was starting to feel she would remain positive with a bright smile on her face. She probably would have quit the positivity mindset early on as pressure kept adding and adding onto her shoulders but she noticed how easily her smile could infect her sisters face. So instead of allowing herself to crumble she remained strong, not for herself but for her precious sister. Her life, in a way, has been dedicated to Ciri's. She might have developed a little of a sister complex.
xxxxxDespite their mothers protests she was made to be raised as if she was a Jiton user like her sister. From the moment she could walk and talk she was forced into the Shounin no Gouzoku lifestyle, one so drastically different from how her mother wanted the little Aburame to be raised. Rather than being taught to live life as a shadow: quiet and observant she was instead thrusted into the lifestyle of loud, proud, and cunning. While it might have bothered their mother, Noémi was ecstatic to learn she wasn't going to have to spend time apart from her little sister she was a little afraid of what might happen if she wasn't there to be their voice. It was when their mother saw how happy the older twin was that she stopped her protests. 'It wasn't like she was going to have to try and fit in with other Aburame latter in her life right?' Their father began his grooming of the twins when they were yet little tikes. He had big plans for the them, he was going to need someone to take his spot as head of the business at some point and he couldn't have some lesser clansmen wriggling into his throne. He was determined to have his blood remain on top. Even at the sacrifice of his children's childhoods. He didn't need to groom the both of them, after all only one of them would get his spot, but he decided to anyways in case something happened to one of his little pet projects that would make them less desirable as the face of the company. So he took them both out on any voyages he made from the homestead, made them partake in any meeting he held with his branch of the clan the Lelièvres. He needed his lesser to know he wasn't going to let their grubby hands get his spot if he had any say so, but it was an unwise thing to say aloud so he let his actions speak for him instead. His twin daughters struggling to keep up with the 'big' words they were using as they scribbled down anything important on their notepads. He'd take him on his overly extravagant ship when he needed to take trips away from their homeland. He made sure they where by his heels at all times but if they would stray to explore the behemoth of a vessel he wouldn't bother wasting the effort to keep an eye on them. However he always made time to berate them when they finally returned from whatever shenanigans they would get into.
xxxxxAt first Noémi found it hard to keep her positive attitude up when he would dig into them, but she would notice how her sister would look to her for an idea of what to do and it crushed her heart to see her twin so close to tears. She she swallowed her emotions into her tiny gut and forced that tiny smile onto her lips while she took the lecture. She needed to be brave. This delicate balance of playing fathers little angles would have continued on for the foreseeable feature but Noémi was born with a skin condition by the name of Vitiligo,a skin condition characterized by patches of the skin losing their pigment and becoming white, usually with sharp margins. It didn't start developing in her case until she was six, while they were in a business trip across seas. She didn't notice anything odd during her morning routine until Ciri pointed out a a couple white splotches across her face. She spent time investigating her face in the mirror, poking the skin that had lost its pigment testing to see if ti hurt or not. When there father had arrived to their room to get them before the meeting she could just see the disappointment spread across his face when he saw her skin. From that moment on he pressured her less and less as he trained them to take over, but on the flip side he saw how he piled more and more work onto Ciri's plate. It seemed his daughters skin condition made her the undesirable twin to take over. The first few months with her new condition were the hardest, whenever she was left alone her positive outlook would cracks as tears fell down her cheeks. After a little while she learned to ignore the stinging pain in her heart whenever someones expression would fault when they looked at her, or when her father would look at her in disgust.
xxxxxWhen it came for the Lelièvre's big trip to the shinobi nations the twins were seven, a big deal among the clan with their fathers new get even richer plan in motion, and Noémi was being raised as the back up plan. Only to be put in a position of power in the event something happened to the golden goose Ciri. She felt no animosity for her little sister, only concern for all the pressure being put on her tiny shoulders. So she always made sure to brighten her day when they were together. While the ship was preparing for its arrival at Gimangakure the twins were enjoying a break from their fathers workload. Noémi was putting her sisters hair into a fancy bun, using a white bow to hold it in place when the alarms sounded across the ship. It seemed their fathers gaudy boat had attracted trouble. They had been targeted by a group of pirates, who say the boat as their next meal ticket. While she didn't know why the ships alarm was going off at the time she immediately acted, grabbing her sisters hand as she locked their rooms door and hid them in their closet. The twins remained in the the closets dark embrace until their rooms door was kicked in. Instinctively she squeezed Ciri's hand to comfort the girl. But there wasn't much she could do besides that. Their father hadn't started their combat training yet, if they opened the door they would be defenseless. And if like some kind of cosmic joke one of the pirates peered into the closet in search of valuables and instead spotted the twins. The rest of the ship attack is a blur for her, after she was knocked over the head she struggled to keep conscious as the pirate carried her and Ciri to what she assumed was his leader. It seemed they were going to be used as hostages while the pirates backed off from the ship. They didn't say why but it was easy to tell they were being overwhelmed after the Lelièvre family started grouping up for their counter attack on the invaders. When they reached the shore the group decided to relay their ransom to the family but after the message was delivered the ship just sailed off. Their entire family seemingly abandoning them. The twins clung to each other as the leader let his frustration out on a nearby tree. Instead of cutting the girls loose he decided he wasn't going to let his meal ticket just sail off so he decided to move his new 'goods' to his base of operations while he decided on how to extort the Lelièvre. Knowing better than to keep all his eggs in one basket he chose to separate the twins between his two bases. Noémi gripped tighter to her sister when she heard his plan, struggling to keep the younger twin in her arms as the adults pulled them apart. In the struggle she had managed to grab onto the white bow she put in Ciri's hair, a match for the one in her own. So she held onto the fabric as a lifeline as her mind raced on how to get back to her sister.
xxxxxShe did not quietly let the would-be-pirates just carry her off to their base. No she made sure to make a fuss out of it. Her tantrum rewarded when they had crossed into the land of mist. An Aburame clansmen happened upon them with his squad, they were currently on a mission when his Kikaichu sensed Noémi's own in a panicked and agitated state. On a whim he put his mission on hold to check it out. In a flash the pirates were on the ground as thousands of bugs filled the air around the crying girl. The shinobi patiently waited for her to cry it out while he called his bugs back into his gourd. When she finally regained some sliver of composure he asked where she was from. Being that her father had only started teaching them the language her answer was a broken sentence along the lines of 'I dont know.' Knowing he couldn't just leave the girl alone in the middle of nowhere, he ordered his squad to precede with the mission while he delivered her to Kirigakure. It wasn't a long trip but she still doesn't remember much of it. She just knows the only reason she didn't struggle against this transportation was that it was his bugs carrying her rather than the stranger. If he had placed his hands on her it wouldn't have mattered that he saved her from a group of thugs. The Kikaichu seemed to sooth her, soothing her own in the process. Though she still had little to no control over the bugs in her body they still remained impacted by each other if she was upset they would swarm. After the shinobi had gotten the all clear from his Kage on her admittance into the protection of the village she was taken to the Aburame compound.
xxxxxShe didn't like it there. She was an outsider, it didn't mater how many times the shinobi insisted the compound was the best place for her... she saw the way the other clansmen looked at her. Their straight laced mouths and their disproving stares. Who were they to judge her for how she was raised? So she wasn't some shut in, what good was watching life fly past you? How was their lifestyle better than hers? It didn't take long before the stress of being in a foreign place stated setting into her mood. Worse still she was without her sister... all she had left was a single bow. She would start going over the event over and over as she tortured herself with what-if scenarios. The possible ways she could have stopped the man from grabbing them, how she could have saved her sister from being separated from the rest of the family, how she could have fought against her captivators harder to get to her sister when they were trying to take Ciri away from her. Why did she deserve to be protected by some fancy walls? Where was her sister? Was she ok? Why did this happen? Why? For the first time in ages she dropped her smile. She only kept it up for her sisters sake. For all she knew her sister could be dead by now. She was stuck in a mental loop of self hate. She would have bore a hole in the ground how long she spent staring at it in silence. It wasn't broken until she snapped on one of the Aburame that came to check on her. Her hive was swarming like a hornets nest and it was beginning to agitate the other Kikaichu. She made sure to use all the hateful words her father would spew when he was upset about at her mother. She never knew she had such hate for her own bloodline instilled in her until that moment. She was only seven and her father had successfully twisted her against her own kind. She had internalized racism towards the Aburame.
xxxxxAt the end of her fate fueled string of slurs in a broken version of a language she barely knew the Aburame clansmen's emotionless facade was broken. She could see the pain in the older woman's eyes as she backed out of the room... it was the same pain she saw in her sisters eyes whenever their father would berate them. She truly was her fathers daughter. She couldn't stay at the compound anymore. It wasn't healthy for her, it brought out the side of her she wanted to keep buried deep inside, and they would be better off not keeping a ticking time bomb of hate so close to their bosom. So when the shinobi that had 'rescued' her returned from his latest mission she requested he find her a new place to live. She told him everything about what had happened. He could see the disappointment in his body language. She prepared herself for a berating that never came. Instead he just brought the woman she spewed her hate at into the room once more. He politely asked Noémi to apologize. She bit on her tongue to stop herself from speaking without gather her thoughts. She knew in her core what she said was wrong. She regretted the words the moment she saw the look on the woman's face. She took a few minutes but she finally managed to croak out the words 'I sorry,' as she fought back tears. The woman didn't say a word before leaving the room, her shoulders looking a little lighter than when she first arrived. The shinobi asked her one time if she was sure she didn't want to stay in the compound any longer, telling her they could help her with the hatred bottled up inside her. She declined the offer to stay once he was finished talking. With a nod he took her tiny hand and lead her out of the place she saw as a giant prison. The rest of the day was spent meeting up with his contacts as he searched for a place he could trust to let her stay. He had promised to protect her until she could protect herself.
xxxxxThey settled on a small apartment a few blocks from the compound. Far enough to feel free from them but close enough to get them if there was ever trouble. He told her he would be checking in on her once a week so he could work with her on the hate that was instilled in her and help with her speech. 'No one needs that kind of hate, inside or out.' as he would say during each of their sessions. It took a few sessions before she started to smile again. Baby steps. One day he came to visit her to find all the reflective surfaces in the apartment smashed and broken. It turned out she couldn't stand to look in the mirror, it only brought up feelings of guilt when she saw her reflection. All she saw was her sisters dace when she stared into the glass. By the end of her first year in Kirigakure she was able to speak the language like it was her native tongue. Having nothing but free time, she had nothing better to do but study the books the shinobi would leave for her. By the time she was nine she had started collecting any news articles related to what she now knew was where she was kidnapped from 'Gimangakure' and any mention of attacks on ships. She knew the odds that she would find anything pertaining to her sister was almost non existent... but that small insignificant percentage started a flame of hope in her gut. Hope that started burning away the bonds of depression that were still holding her in place. She started to leave her apartment daily to scour the city for abandoned newspapers, or to listen in on conversations between merchants. Every one and a while she would hear faint whispers that matched her vivid memories of how the pirates would dress. By the time she reach the age of ten she had reverted back to her personality from before the traumatic experience and even better she only felt a little disgust when she need to interact with a fellow Aburame. Baby steps.
xxxxxA few years later he was happy with how far she had progressed, the shinobi offered to take her back to the compound. She declined his offer after a few moments of silence, stating she felt better off living by herself... where she was free to be herself and not be slowly converted into a 'proper' Aburame. Despite his promises that they wouldn't be doing any such thing. She however requested that he enter her into the village academy. To say her request came as a surprise would have been an understatement. She had never mentioned any interest in becoming a Shinobi. When asked why all she told him was that it was a secret. Knowing how hard she had worked to change herself for the better he decided to grant her the request. Though he would have felt better if she at least trained at the compound first to get some control over her hive of Kikaichu. She however was adamant about not stepping foot near the place so he decided not to voice it. The reason she chose not to tell him her reason for wanting to become a shinobi was because he was a realist. He had repeatedly told her not to keep looking into her kidnapping, that he sister was likely dead. She saw how much information was trusted with the shinobi of the village and she saw it as her way to grab hold of anything related to her sister. She would find Ciri. Her sister was strong. She wouldn't have let death take her. At least thats what she always told herself. At first the academy was hard. Children were cruel, she herself was an example of the amount of hate such a small body could hold. At first they would make fun of her for her obvious accent whenever she would speak up in class, which was often. Then they would pick on her for her skin condition. She would always tell herself how often her sister would tell her they made her look prettier with them to endure the nicknames they would call her. Then it came out that she was an Aburame and she was treated for a freak not just because she held a hive of bugs inside her but also because she couldn't even fit in with her own kind. The way she dressed, the way she acted, that ever present smile, and how vocal she was were the exact opposite of all the other 'bug kids'.
xxxxxHalf way through her education her skin condition had started to flair up some more, for a few months she would wake up to find new places where the pigment was noticeably lacking. It didn't bother her much, she knew she couldn't stop it from progressing. She liked how it looked personally. Well most of it. One of the days she was chosen to spar with one of the more cruel of her classmates. The entire taijutsu training session was spent with him pointing out of freakish her fingers looked. Like her flesh was dying. It was during that spar she had had enough and it was when she started to gain her infamous expressionless mask during fights. She had to be dragged off of the poor boy when all was said and done. Along with his clans traditional tattoo he has the kanji for storm tattooed on the palm of his left hand, their is a band around his left wrist tattoo'd with symbols of a runes, and lastly are small runes around the base of each of his left hands fingers. His right ear is pierced by the lobe, a small chain of beads hang from it. Miscellaneous: Avantis loves to dress nicely, to him half the show is how you present yourself to an audience. Build: Above average height and heavily toned muscles fill out Taki's frame, her constant training makes it so most all of her extra body weight comes from perfected muscle. Personality: If someone was to describe Taki in a single word they would most likely choose, "Apathetic." There is some truth to this description. When it comes down to her professional life she believes in a clear separation of emotions and her duties. This is not to say she never regrets going through with something, its just that when it comes down to it she doesn't believe her opinions matter... if it was ordered to happen then their must have been a good reason, whether or not she ever hears it. Clothing her legs is a thin black pair of pants, the fabric allowing for a wide range of movements, with crisscrossing bands of brown sitching up her legs to her knees. And finally, protecting her feet is a pair of simple brown ankle boots with larger than average cuffs emerging from the tops.
Personal Skills: A learned bilingual she is able to speak in two fluent tongues, the language of her homeland and the language that dominates the land of shinobi. Having a foothold in additional languages she has an easier time than most when reading hand seals. Was raised to hunt for her food, able to track even the smallest trail through dense forests. xxxxxBorn into the world a murderer, or so her father enjoyed saying, her mothers body failing during child birth. Deborah had a rather... rocky childhood, never getting along with her father being the one that killed the love of his life. However at the same time she was never allowed to leave their house due to the uniqueness to her eyes. Born with her mothers Kinmukugan, the golden iris a prized trophy to be plucked from her eye sockets. The only thing stopping her father from doing it himself was the uncanny resemblance she carried to her mother. While this may have saved her from being cast into the streets or sold to the highest bidder it did not stop him from taking his anger out on her small frame. Near constantly carrying a full pattern of bruises on her body, from all manner of devices but none more common than his belt. The physical abuse slowed to a crawl around her fourteenth birthday, replaced by physiological assaults now that she was old enough to be trusted leaving the house.
xxxxxHer fathers savings starting to empty with him being a lay about drunk, practically refusing to do any work, he enlisted her into Otogakure's academy thinking once she graduated he would have money flowing into to the house to feed his relationship with the bottle. Even if she always felt her treatment at home was wrong she had nothing else to compare it to. This changed once she began taking regular classes at the academy, almost assaulted with good feelings and fair treatment. It was a shock to her system trying to adjust to not flinching when someone raised their hand near her. Over the coming years of study she leaned closely into the subject of Eiseijutsu. During her studies of the human body she began to feel a hatred boiling in her stomach. Over time she learned what it meant, she felt she could get away with murder using all the knowledge she had accumulated over her enrollment. On one stormy night she had decided to use her new found skills to do away with her tormentor... she was about to commit patricide. With the clock chiming midnight she awoke, her stomach twisting with butterflies as she climbed out of bed. Taking a scalpel from beneath her pillow she crept down the stairs to the living room. A twisted smile twitched at the corners of her lips as she appeared behind her fathers chair. Wanting to have him awake to experience the full pain of her plan she shook him. But no response came from her short fused father, a second shake... still nothing. Her smile forming into a scowl she walked out in front of the chair, the dim light from the fireplace illuminating her fathers dead face. Her vengeance stolen from her, the fool had drank his liver into failure. She stabbed his dead hand hoping for a spark of anything.
xxxxxBut nothing emerged from his empty eyes. Having her vengeance ripped from her was the last nail in her metal stabilizes coffin. She dropped her scalpel onto the floor beneath her, dropping to her knees, and released a dreadful wail. Her voice must have carried far as it didn't take long for her neighbors to bust down the front door to find the source of the panic. Assuming she was just stricken with the grief of losing her father the neighborhood and to an extent her classmates treated her like a flower on the eave of wilting. Soon she learned to make a mask out of her face, covering her disdain for everyone around her, her frowns replaced by a near constant smile dancing on her lips. Over the remaining years of her time in the academy she focused her studies on Eiseijutsu, climbing quickly in her classes. On the day of her final tests she found she had an embarrassing lack of affinity with Bushin no Jutsu, forcing her to almost retake the tests. Luckily for herself she did well enough in her other categories to allow her to pass the academy.
