:: The Thieves are Taking Over - Act II ::
(( May 26 2018 13:15:32 ))

Quote:
The thieves' plan began without any problems, but looks like things took a sharp turn for the villains as a thief among them turned out to not be a thief at all! Lilith Ezra was revealed to be a double agent and she''s contacted the International Police to arrive and rescue the students. Unfortunately she was discovered and now the students are trying to be used as hostages. Currently, Lorrie Young is holding the students in the Gymnasium, but things are not going her way. Kids are smart and they've begun to question her authority which has pushed Lorrie to retaliate. No longer hiding her motives, she has taken the student's pokemon and is trying to quiet them down by force. Will you fight back or will you stay a hostage?

We have now entered Act II which is the battle against Lorrie and her three Pokemon. Please follow these steps to avoid confusion and chaos amongst all the incoming posts:
- Choose ONE of Lorrie's Pokemon to battle: There are currently three Pokemon at different locations in the gym. You must choose only one to battle, you cannot hop between the three. So pick your poison and stick with it during this Act.
- No attacking Lorrie: I know that attacking the thief is probably the smart thing to do, but this is Pokemon and we settle fights with Pokemon. Therefore no one should try to be attacking Lorrie, she'll go down once her Pokemon are down.
- Check Discord: DJ Double B will be making announcements when she posts Lorrie so make sure to check on Discord to know when to expect a post. DO NOT be asking DJ to hold on posting or to reschedule her post. Please respect her time and respect her. Thank you.
- Level Cap is 38 for student's Pokemon: Please do not go above this number using Rare Candies.
- The Battle is Open RP: This means you do not have to follow the dice roll rules or the one-attack-per-post rule. You can post a total of two damaging attacks and one non-damage attack per post per Pokemon. No auto dodge, every attack that Lorrie's Pokemon uses will hit the students' Pokemon unless they have immunity due to type or ability. This also works visa versa meaning all of your Pokemon's attacks will hit Lorrie's Pokemon.

So long as we have everyone following these steps then we'll get through this ACT in no time! For the moment, this battle will last until next Saturday BUT this can change so pay close attention to DJ's posts when she announces them on Discord. Have fun everyone!

:: The Thieves are Taking Over - Act III ::
(( Jun 3 2018 20:53:14 ))

Quote:
Good evening everyone,

The battle against Lorrie is over with the students managing to hold their own against one of the thieves! However, Lorrie left once she was informed of a new plan to secure the thieves' escape route. The children now have their Pokemon back, but they're not safe yet. Lorrie may have left, but she would be replaced by two other thieves. The children are all still in the Gymnasium and they must continue to fight for their freedom. This time the difficulty will rise, but with everyone's Pokemon at their sides they will continue to push through!

The third act will begin Monday (tomorrow) and will roughly last until Tuesday June 12th. We will try to get out a Thief Post schedule like we previously did, but overall it is the same formula as before. Once the new thieves arrive, choose your opponent and stick with that person until the act is finished.

I'm so happy to have seen so many people posting ^^ and I hope to see more activity with this next battle!

:: Reminders and Posting Schedule! ::
(( Jun 7 2018 18:15:16 ))

Quote:
Alright guys now that Arlo and Kai have joined the battle, act 3 has officially begun!

With that I just place some reminders for this battle:

1) You may only choose one opponent. So pick either Arlo or Kai to fight.
2) Bring only two Pokemon to battle.
3) No auto dodge. All attacks will be hitting their target for the thieves and for the students' pokemon.

We also have a new posting schedule! This idea is fairly new, but we're trying to give everyone the chance to prepare for posts. At the end of this final event we'll be asking for everyone's feedback so please let us know how things have been in this very long academy year!

Schedule (June 7th - June 15th):
1st Kai/Arlo post - Friday June 8th in the afternoon
2nd Kai/Arlo post - Sunday June 10th in the afternoon/evening
3rd Kai/Arlo post - Tuesday June 12th in the evening
4th Kai/Arlo post - Thursday June 14th in the evening
5th Kai/Arlo post - Friday June 15th in the evening

If there are any changes we'll make sure to inform everyone before hand, but for the moment this is the schedule everyone should be following. So prepare those posts everyone!

:: Very Important News about the Guild ::
(( Jun 19 2018 16:56:13 ))

Quote:
Good evening everyone,

I apologize for my absence. A lot happened during the week and I have some news for everyone. I am currently in the process of discussion with my Vice Captains about the future of the guild. In order for us to fully focus on this topic we will unfortunately have to go on a short Hiatus while we sort things out.

We are not closing the guild so please do not worry. We just really need to discuss the direction that we want to take the guild as well as revamp our systems and get things ready for a new academy year. There will be changes, but we need time to get things done right. I apologize for this sudden news and I hope that everyone continue to stay with us. We will be making changes around the guild and keep you guys updated when possible.

We could really use your help by getting feedback about the guild. Please post any kind of comments or feedback about your experience with the guild over these years here. It will help us a lot with our discussions. Thank you everyone for understanding and we'll see each other soon smile

:: Guild Update and Changes ::
(( Jul 9 2018 09:24:49 ))

Quote:
Good morning everyone!

Thank you so much for your patience while we were in Hiatus. I'm happy to announce some decisions we have made regarding the guild as well as some of the plans moving forward.

To start with, we will be ending the Thieves Event. While it was fun to make and it certainly brought some exciting moments it also brought about some bigger complications that would have been difficult to handle especially with the lore of the guild. Even though the event is ending we are not going to erase it, per se. Sometime today I will be posting a "Conclusion" to the thief event. I will be quoting every member of our active list so that everyone can read the conclusion.

Next, tomorrow we will be reopening the guild and players will be able to RP again. We will make an announcement with instructions for everyone to follow. However, this will be our ending to Ordell Academy's Year 1 plot. It's been a very long time and we have no plans on making it last another 3 irl year xD this is why we needed to take this hiatus so that we could work things out.

There will be changes happening around the guild since we're getting it ready for year 2. Tomorrow's guild announcement will explain our final goodbye to Year 1 ^^ I hope everyone is looking forward to it.

The Aftermath

The Academy must prosper...

The battle is the headmaster's treasure room was a fierce one. Adult Moses, no longer old man Moses, gained a new confidence with his younger body, however, the headmaster of the academy was no push over. Adult Moses soon realized that he was losing. Their level of skill were matched at the beginning, but the difference in their Pokemon strength was growing wider with each turn of their battle. The thief boss didn't stood a chance and once it became painfully aware that he would be defeated, he ran away. The headmaster watched the man leave, the students and the teachers would be more than enough to stop him. They were prepared and he believed in the students, after spending so much time around them he knew that several of them were brave and strong individuals. The screams of Moses caught the headmaster off guard and he rushed to the hall where Moses had escaped. Before him stood several men and women wearing ballistic vests, black camouflage colored uniforms, helmets, and they were wearing night-vision goggles. The group turned to the headmaster and pointed their guns at him covering his body with red dots to indicate he had no chance of escaping. A flashlight was shined his way and the leader of the team approached the headmaster. The two started exchanging words.

==========

The students continued their battles with the former academy employees who had revealed themselves as thieves. The thieves' Pokemon were quite strong, but the students were persistent and they were not alone as many of them joined forces and worked together to cover any weaknesses they had. Not all the students participated in the battle, which was fine, but many showed their support and willingness to not go down without a fight. The thieves were beginning to feel overwhelmed and their confidence slowly leave as the determination of the students was becoming harder to handle. Seeing no other option left, the thieves began to run away abandoning the plan; what was the point of risking their freedom? However, the thieves did not make it far and were stopped by a group of men and women heavily equipped with defenses and weapons. There was no escape for the thieves so they surrendered. The students were initially surprised by the appearance of these adults, but each of them quickly noticed the "S.W.A.T" letters written on their uniform. Those who had seen any kind of crime shows or whose families were involved with the police knew about the SWAT and they understood they were there to stop the thieves. Help was indeed coming their way and with the arrival of the SWAT team the students could finally relax; they were safe.

The group of men and women turned to the children who were happy to see them. However, their smiles quickly changed when the adults summoned a variety of Psychic-type Pokemon. There was something off and the adults suddenly weren't looking like the good guys anymore. One of the men started giving orders to the Pokemon and soon enough every psychic pokemon started using Hypnosis on the students and their Pokemon. The kids were unprepared for this attack and they were unable to fight, too tired from their battles against thieves, their Pokemon included. All students and Pokemon started dropping to the ground entering a deep sleep. The men and women brought machines and strange devices which were likely meant to be used on the children. Their work was not done yet, the thieves were apprehended and the students would be taken care of. The teachers and academy employees would be next on their list and with the thieves already having captured them it would make their job a lot easier.

==========

It was now the next day. The students were all save, sleeping in their dorms without a care. Their memories of the previous night were no more, none of them would have any recollection of the events that transpired. This included the teachers and academy employees as well. Any injuries was there obtained from the attack were quickly patched and healed. Only two students were wounded more than the others and were actually resting in the nurse's office: Marco and Ray. They would be told that they got into an accident in the Forest and that would hopefully be enough to convince them; even if it wasn't a believable explanation, their memories would betray them and they would have no choice, but to believe that story. Any location that was damaged from the battles would be closed off for the time being due to "renovation" or any other reason. The students only had one more month left before the end of the academy year so it was unlikely any of them would question the change.

The arrival of that fake SWAT team was an unexpected turn of events. The headmaster was not at all happy with what occurred. This was beyond his control, but he knew who the culprits were. In fact, he was staring at them at this very moment in their office. They were not present, per se, but rather he was looking at them on a television screen. The headmaster stared at the three figures who had bright lights shining behind them so their faces were only shadows which was probably intentional in order to hide their identity. However, the headmaster knew these three people well. "Gentlemen...and ma'am...you've overstepped your boundaries." There were three people on the screen, two men and one woman, and they were suited in formal attire. The headmaster was not pleased at all and his face clearly showed the frustration he felt, but the men and woman were unaffected by his stare. Their composure did not falter and instead they remained looking graceful and poised. "You've failed to properly protect this academy and its children. We had no choice, but to step in once we saw what was happening." The reply came from one of the men, his voice had a certain accent and tone that commanded respect. A strong, deep voice that would cause others to shake with every word spoken. However, the headmaster was not so easily intimidated and he remained with a stern look on his face as he heard the reply, "I was handling the situation and the children were demonstrating how much their lesson had taught them. The thieves would have been stopped without your interfering."

"You failed to foresee the consequences of your actions and the affects they would have on the academy and the children," this time it was a feminine voice that spoke. Her tone was light and not strong or deep like the other man's voice. There was a still a particular chill her tone of voice caused; her voice was light as if someone was whispering sweet nothings into your ear. "If the media had found out then there would be no chance for this academy. From the beginning, this first year was a test for the world, to show that this was the safest place for a child to learn about Pokemon. What do you think would have happened if the headlines read, 'Ordell Academy was infiltrated by thieves who threaten the lives of the students'?" The headmaster clenched his hands, he didn't want to admit the truth in her words. The woman saw the headmaster's hesitation and decided to continue, "the academy would be shut down and potentially sued for endangering the children. Even if you did go to court to fight this, the academy's reputation would already be ruined. The parents would not want to have their children return. Do you now understand the severity of your lack of action?" The headmaster took a deep breath and then exhaled, he didn't want to agree with them, but she was right. If word got out of the events from yesterday then the academy would be ruined. "I understand...but I still don't agree with your methods. Using Pokemon to mess with the children's memories, they can only be repressed for so long and who knows what effect that might have on them." the teachers and academy employees had their memories messed with as well. In fact everyone in the academy, except of the headmaster, had their memories repressed in order to forget about the events from the night prior.

"We had no other choice," the last men finally spoke and his voice sounded older and wiser than the others who had spoken. It was not the voice of an old man, but rather the voice of someone who was wise beyond his years. His voice was still deep like the other man's voice, but also more gentle and not as demanding as the other men's voice. His voice did not demand respect, but rather it made you want to willingly listen. "Some of them might have nightmares, but to them there won't anything more than just bad dreams. Their memories will betray them and with time they will choose to ignore it or forget it all together. Let this be a lesson to never allow for an incident -like the one from yesterday- happen again." The headmaster had no choice, but swallow his pride and accept what they were telling him. There was certainly truth in their words and the damage had already been done. He had failed to properly protect the children and his staff which was what was causing his frustration. He didn't want to rely on them, but he had no choice and perhaps they had made the best decision for the academy.

"Antonio Reyes," the headmaster looked back at the men and woman who had called out his name. "This academy must not be closed. Do not let something like this happen again. You have been given this task so do your job. We will be watching." With those final words, the connection ended and the screen went blank leaving Antonio alone in his office. The young man slumped back into his chair feeling exhausted. He had managed to stop Moses, but ultimately it had been the Organization who stepped in and "fixed" everything. He had failed on this day and worse he had given them a reason to step in which was something he wanted to avoid at all costs for the future. Things needed to change in Ordell Academy to prevent its image from being tainted. He hated to admit this, especially since he never cared for the media, but the best way to keep these children safe was to demonstrate that Ordell Academy was what the children of the future needed. Antonio reached into his jacket's chest pocket and took out his wallet. He pulled out a photo from inside and gazed at the person on the photo, Lilith Ezra. "What I wouldn't give to be with you right now," Antonio smiled as another photo that was behind the photo of Lilith slipped from his fingers and landed on the ground; the photo was of a family. Antonio picked up the photo and put them away back into his wallet. "Alright, time to start over."

:: Saying Goodbye to Year 1 ::
(( Jul 10 2018 09:25:14 ))

Quote:
Our final RP day for Year 1 is here!

I am very thankful to everyone for staying with us in these many years. We have a Goodbye Party which is taking place in the Campsite where all the students are currently present. This is your good bye guys so its your chance for your characters to bid their farewells, take pictures, exchange phone numbers, or even make plans for the break! That's right, we'll be reopening the Pokemon World Forum so that players can RP their vacation time while we continue working on updating the guild for Year 2.

Just in case you might have missed, I have posted the conclusion, the Aftermath, of the battle against the thieves. I understand that some might still be a bit confused but the short summary is that there's an organization that is looking after Ordell Academy from the shadows. Is this organization good or are they bad? Only time will tell, but they have demonstrated they are a powerful group.

Alright guys so unfortunately I did not have time to make an appropriate date change so today's RP date is Monday, March 5th. There is a cookout happening in the Campsite and enough room for everyone's Pokemon to roam around. Our Goodbye Party will last until July 18th at midnight. I hope everyone has fun and is looking forward to Year 2!

:: Guild Update ::
(( Jul 14 2018 22:07:40 ))

Quote:
Hello guys!

I got some news for everyone 3nodding we have created a new profile layout (designed by our new Crew member DJ Double B) and we would like for everyone to try it and start updating your character's profile! Starting next week you will be seeing a lot of movement around the guild such as some topics disappearing and being replaced by new topics. We will be archiving many of our topics to a new archive forum and this includes profile topics.

Therefore we would like to ask everyone to please check out the new profile layout and to create a new profile topic for your character to replace your old profile. If you have a new character you're bringing in for Year 2 you are welcome to start on their profile 3nodding If anyone does plan on using academy starter Pokemon please do not randomize since we are still working on updating that randomization page.

There will most likely be an extension for the good bye party so please post guys so we can really get this party started! We will continue to update everyone about the guild so be on the look out ^^

Quote:
Alright guys I got another update for everyone!

We are in fact going to extend the Good bye Party to this Friday/Saturday so we highly encourage everyone to post who hasn't done so yet 3nodding

I created a new Pokemon Randomizer topic for new characters that want to try their luck at a starter pokemon with its hidden ability ^^ so check it out.

Now here comes the big news...we are going to be moving around A LOT of topics and forums. We plan on updating the look of the main forum page in the guild and there's going to be a lot of rearranging in order to better organize each forum. We'll also be storing topics in the new archive forums while creating new topics in order to keep them fresh for Year 2.

I have noticed the new profiles and we'll be starting to review them very soon. New characters will be the first to be reviewed and returning characters will be reviewed after. We will be quoting players once we post a review so be on the look out 3nodding

That's all for now guys ^^ I'll make sure to keep everyone updated!

:: Ordell Academy Year 1....Finished!! ::
(( Jul 24 2018 23:03:39 ))

Quote:
Good evening everyone ^^

I'm happy to say that after a very very very (veryx100) long time Ordell Academy Year 1 is finally finished! We have a special surprise for all of our members who stayed with us and survived Year 1. All members who joined the guild or were present since February 2018 and have created a character and posted the character at some point until today will be received a special Year 1 Badge. We don't have the design made at this time, but we'll be adding it to everyone's profile who has met the requirements from above 3nodding

This Badge is meant for the member and it grants the following:
- Your student character count increases by 1
- If bringing a new character you may have him/her start with two Pokemon instead of one.

(These badge details may change, but the final decision will be posted once the badges are created)

There are going to be a lot of changes happening in the guild, but they are for the better! While we are preparing for Year 2, the Pokemon World RP will be opened for players to RP their characters during the Summer Break. If you'd like for a topic to be created in the Pokemon World forum then quote Crew in the OOC chat or in Discord and we'll create one

Once again I just wanted to thank everyone for this amazing experience and I'm really happy that many of you decided to stay. A new year is coming and its going to be a super fun one!
