Are those still a thing? I feel sort of bad that I sit with all these items I won't end up using.
I thought last night and for a while I should just gift items I have instead of letting them sit on a 'dead' account.

I still use mine. Sometimes I decide to go back through the items and decide whether I really want them or not. Most of the time the items I still want just keep sitting there on the wish list because they are way beyond my price range in the MP to buy... and I'm not paying real money on pixels.
