As his opponent came at him, the three tentacles coming from the right would change position aiming to grab the man. Since he didn't hear any signs of the man being grabbed, Marco stood his ground. seeing his opponent explode out of the smoke, he got ready. Taking the tackle, he slid back in the water a little bit. Grabbing onto his opponent's arms, the three tentacle's followed behind and start to wrap around his opponent. One on each arm and another around the waste. If they got a solid grab on him, Marco would let go and they would lift him up into the air holding him in place. The other five tentacles would start to movei n where the opponent was too. It would be like they almost had a mind of their own, which they did.

upon connecting with the tackle Kamiya simply planted his foot into the opponent's gut when his arms were grabbed. he then grabbed the arms in response and flipped himself over his opponent pulling both pairs of arms behind the two combatants. the push against the gut would possibly cause damage or pull out an arm from it's socket. however both Kamiya's arms and his opponent's arms would be in pain. he wasn't in as much pain and could possibly force a dislocation from his opponent as he had training specifically to be more flexible due to his taijutsu training. his opponent was now also between him and the tenticles which he could block by moving behind the opponent which would cause more pain to both of them. also neither could use jutsu other than possibly tai or buki.

What his opponent thought was a simple move that would put him behind Marco, was actually more complicated then what he had thought. There would be two big issues with his move. The first would be the tackle itself and the second would be the attempt to flip over Marco by pushing off his gut. While people could walk on walls in this world, he didn't seem to have a full understanding of how angles worked. He might have been a little more flexible then normal, but it wouldn't help in this attempt.

Covering the first failed part of his opponent's plan would be the tackle. Since his opponent was hanging on the roof, he would need to jump down at Marco to tackle him. Due to this his hands would reach Marco long before his feet even touched the ground. If he tried to fold his legs forward so that he landed on them, then that clearly wouldn't be a tackle. Even if that was what he would do, he would land in a crouched position requiring him to stand up and then plant a foot in Marco's gut to push off. The simple fact would be that he wouldn't have enough time to do all that seeing as Marco would have stopped it.

The second part that would cause him to fail assuming it even got to that point would be the foot to Marco's gut. Since it was clearly stated that he used the foot in the gut to jump over Marco, the laws of physics would prove the young shinboi wrong. The biggest problem would be that he couldn't push in the right direction to flip over and behind Marco. By pushing off his gut, he would end up going backwards, which would push the two fighters away from each other. Even if he would get any upward momentum, most people tend to hunch over when they are hit in the gut. This would mean that two things would happen. The first, would be that his foot would start to bend backwards on itself reducing the amount of leverage he could generate pushing off. The other issue was his foot and leg would now start to become trap under Marco's body. Unless he could push off from a standstill position with amazing force, he couldn't flip over Marco even if he wanted to. This would be hard to do since Marco was slightly taller then his opponent and by placing his foot so high up on the body such was the gut. He would already be standing on his tip toes which wasn't a good point to get enough pressure for a flip. Of course this is all assuming his opponent even got to the stage of planting his foot on his opponent.

As for what actually happen, this is how it would play out. As his opponent jumped from the ceiling, Marco would see him explode from the cloud of smoke and come flying at him hands first looking to attempt to tackle him to the ground. Since Marco was already on his guard, it would take little to get ready for the attack. While he might have dodged the tentacles they would still be coming for him. The three that were coming in from the would quickly change position and head for the man. It would be like they almost had a brain and could think. The fact of the matter was, they actually could think on their own. This left Marco free to focus on his opponent. With his opponent connecting with him, the force would cause Marco to slide back a little bit thanks to the water. With the awkward landing that would have to be preformed by his opponent, he would be extremely low to the ground since his hand would have reached the ground before his feet due to the nature of a tackle. Marco grabbed him by the arms before he could really get to a full standing position which would give Marco the edge. Of course, since this already had happened, there wouldn't really be any need to recap the events.

As he came up and tried to lift his foot up to plant into Marco's gut, Marco slid in closer which would cause the opponent's leg to crunch up closer to his body. This would keep him from planting the foot that he was thinking to plant in Marco's gut. It would also cause him to be on one foot and unless he was use to it, it would throw his balance off. With a good pushing point thanks to holding onto his arms and being on both feet, Marco pushed forward which would probably cause his opponent to start to fall backwards. With the tentacles coming in, they would start wrap around Marco's opponent's elbows. Once that happened, Marco would take a few quick steps back letting go. Unless his opponent could stop any of this, which was unlikely due to already explained aspects of his attack, he would now be falling backwards. The last of the three tentacles would start to wrap around his waist. If they were able to get a good hold, they would life him up into the air and start to drag him backwards. The other tentacles would start to join in and surround the opponent in a bubble made of water. Needless to say, things weren't looking to good for his opponent. Marco would start to gather chakra for another attack. It would be foolish to rush in at the moment without knowing if his attack would be 100% successful. Although unless his opponent was magical, there would probably be little that he could do.

despite how things had gone "wrong" and the position he was in Kamiya was simply entertained. but he knew that his oppoenent was likely to try something this close and he remembered the wierd shot of something liquidy from the guy's mouth. thinking quickly Kamiya lifted his remaining leg allowing himself to drop to the ground while pulling his opponent's arms down. even if his opponent could manipulate chakra without his hands he couldn't effectively cast jutsu of any kind and so Kamiya wasn't overly worried about this. however since having dropped while holding his opponent's arms he would end up at the guy's legs and would simply slip in behind them by twisting his body so he had his oppoenent between him and the tenticles. the sudden jarring of the drop against the arms of both would be painful. the guy's arms would now be in an awkward position as the arms were being held towards the ground and he was unable to perform jutsu due to having his arms be held appart.

Once again, Marco's opponent would think that his moves were simple, but there would be problems with them. He again wouldn't get as far as he thought, and this time would fall pray to the water tentacles that were coming from him. As his opponent would start to fall down, there would be a few problems with this. The first would be that with being so close, there wouldn't be as big of a sudden jarring as his opponent thought. The reason for this was because Marco's arms where bent and not fully extended at the point of the drop. This would allow for some play before any jarring happen. The only way to stop this would be if his opponent had him above the elbow, but previous attempted actions proved that he did not. The other main issue would be the magical shifting around Marco's legs while his opponent was from a standstill position and on his back. He just wouldn't be able to generate the force need. Anyways he wouldn't have gotten to that point.

With Marco having already started to push backwards when his opponent decided to pick his leg up, Marco would let go of the guy's arms and twist his towards the man's thumbs. Unless he had amazing hand strength, the thumb is the weak point of the hand. If a person had a grip on someone all they would have to do is twist toward the thumb and they could slip out. There would be ways to stop this but since his opponent wouldn't be expecting it, it probably wouldn't happen. The force of the fallen would help in releasing Marco from the man's grasp as well. Without Marco's force to help keep the weight equal, his opponent would be trying to hold his full weight. He might be a Taijutsu user, but most techniques don't require strong hand grip. Marco watched gravity and the backwards momentum take his opponent down. Before he could hit the water, the tentacles would be on him. Wrapping around the already planned targets, one on each arm and one around his torso they lifted him up into the area and surrounded him in the water. Seeing his chance, Marco rushed forward gathering chakra. Reaching the tentacles, he slammed his hand inside. The water started to form a tight sphere trapping his opponent inside. The fight would now be over since there was next to no room to move. As the seconds passed, the sphere would start to get just a little bit tighter. He would listen for the cries of his opponent giving up. Even if his opponent would surprise him with his hand strength, the tentacles would still get him before he slid around since that would be an impossible move to pull off. They would still wrap and cover the opponent in water so he would have to let go. Marco could breath underwater and his opponent couldn't. Either way, this would be the end of the fight.

as soon as his opponent released his hands against Kamiya there would be a significant downward pressure placed on the wrists of the man as kamiya no longer simply guiding the man down would pull the man down. even though Kamiya had been pushed back the man's arms would be extended as a result and as such he would not be able to react as fluidly as he otherwise could with bent arms. doing this would force the arms to be bent down and thus forcing the kid down with his arms. he was strong and also had a strong grip due to specializing in counters and grapples. using the pull Kamiya would then draw himself closer to the man. the tentacles would wrap around both of them and Kamiya would quickly change his grip to a sturdier one designed to not allow releases without damage to the one who was in the grip. before the tentacles would get around his mouth and nose he would take a deep breath. Kamiya's opponent would still not be able to cast new jutsu even if he could breath under water which Kamiya suspected was the case. using the water to help him maneuver as despite being submerged in it and not being able to move out of it he still had the arms of his opponent. he pulled his legs up and around his opponent's left arm and began applying heavy pressure against the elbow in such a way as to quickly lead to a broken elbow. due to his natural strength which was greater than that of other shinobi he would be able to ensure that the break would happen fast. despite having to hold his breath kamiya wasn't going to give up. when the room had filled with water he'd worried about something like this.

((i'd like to point out that you didn't actually use the breathing underwater jutsu. you still have to use chakra and say you used it even if you dont need hands to do it. also the water prison requires chakra so i dont know how you used that.))

When Marco didn't find that his hands would slip free, he would simply stomp his opponent in the balls. Expert taijutsu user or not, that would hurt. This was an easy move since his opponent would still almost be on his back and down near Marco's feet. After all, he did nothing to change this. If that didn't make him let go it would soon happen. The stomping of said nuts would also prevent his opponent from pulling himself closer to Marco. If Marco would still be pulled into the water, when his opponent let go of his arms, Marco simply pulled back and the tentacle he was in would separate itself from the others leaving his opponent away from Marco. Dropping Marco off, the tentacle would stand guard now. If the ball stomp did what it did, the tentacles would still grab Marco's opponent and suck him in the water. Gathering some quick chakra, Marco preformed a hand seal and rushed in trying to catch his opponent in the water prison technique. Unless his opponent was a swimmer, he would have trouble escaping. If successful, the sphere of water would be formed and his opponent trapped.

Also love him being an expert in grapples, when none of your current moves have anything to do with grapples.))

The sky rumbled. All active Ninjutsu froze in the air, and then disappeared. Projectiles and weapons would fall to the ground as if the gravity had suddenly tripled, but the effect was temporary and would soon lighten. The reasoning behind this event was soon clear: the judge, a middle-aged man with a thin goatee, stepped out of nowhere and cleared his throat.

"The time limit has been reached," he spoke loudly. "A winner must be decided."

His eyes glazed over for a moment before he delivered the ruling:

"It was a close match, but Mister Marco will be advancing to the next round."

With this, he disappeared once more. The two Shinobi were free to return to the waiting area for rest, recuperation, a hot meal, and healing if they needed it.

With the fight being over, Marco would release any of the jutsu he had going. He wouldn't bother saying a word to his opponent and simply walked out the door that had the kunai on it. Pulling the kunai out of the door, this told Marco which was the correct door to head out of. Hopefully his opponent would be paying attention, cause he might be lost in the building forever! Either way, Marco left for the waiting room.
