Eventually, Aylarra raised her head to look at him with a small frown, until she realized why he was awake and humming. She gave her own hum that ran in perfect counter-tone to his, added a hint of a spell, then laid back down and closed her eyes again. "You can sleep now," she told him simply, knowing that it would take him alot of effort to catch the protective wards she'd just put up. Those wards would hide the place, actually repel things like the Grim, and would also alert them to any intruders that managed to push through. She shifted a bit on the far side of the bed, brought her legs up slightly, and tucked one hand under her head as she tried to get comfortable enough to fully drift to sleep. But she was having trouble with him awake. That ward she'd just put up and used the counter-tones of the tune he was humming and showed that she could actually utilize any form of music for her magic. Everyone now knew that all of the Golden-Eyed elves were spellsingers of various varieties; some used vocal music, some used instruments, some used a combination of the two. But only a very few could use any kind of music: from vocal and instrumental to humming and whistling, even to the sounds birds and the wind made. Wren was one of the latter, but she was considered the most powerful of the Golden-Eyed elves (and was actually royalty even though she didn't know it), and Wren had freaked him out just a little bit once when she'd done exactly what Aylarra had just done... For Aylarra to be able to do the same meant that she was much more powerful than anyone knew... After another moment of him sitting up, despite how still he was, she gave a frown and a heavy sigh, "I can't sleep while you're awake..." she added, her musical voice showing a hint of annoyance over the issue. Truthfully, her rooms at the castle had the best wards on them since she simply couldn't sleep while people were walking around outside her door, so she'd made it so that she never picked up on any of that.

Knowledge is power. Falcron Camoth xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Falcron looked at Alyarra and simply conceded that she wasn’t going to sleep while he was awake, a fact he should have remembered from his time in the castle, bowing his head slightly he got up and stepped over to the bed and got in, “very well…” he’d been used to sharing beds with others when there wasn’t much need for security, thankfully the bed was big enough to support them both just wasn’t really in a position that would allow to get in at their leisure which meant one would almost always have to climb over the other to get onto their side. Thankfully, that wasn’t much of an issue, the blanket was comfortable and warm, the bed soft as was the pillows, Falcron laid there and simply relaxed his eyes closed and spoke lightly “we’ll rest until dawn, by then anything that might be roaming around will have returned to the deep forest and the border, then we'll make for my home to collect supplies” Falcron went silent at that point and drifted off to sleep without much issue, the thing about Falcron he had no issues sleeping, but he was always alert and could react instantly at the moment of an intruder. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Guard it well.

Aylarra made a soft pleased sound when he gave in and got into the bed with her. Admittedly, she'd never slept with anyone, but she'd read plenty of theory on it. Although, it might be mentioned now that she probably read the wrong books on the subject... She didn't snuggle in next to him, simply curled up where she was with her eyes closed and found herself going to sleep just as he did so. If she'd been paying any attention, she would have noticed it when she snuggled in against him and wound up with her head on his shoulder. When morning finally came, she had her head on his shoulder, one arm over his waist, and her hair spreading out behind her. She was as relaxed as she could get right then and he was warm. But at least it would let him wake up first. Like this, she looked so innocently beautiful that one had to wonder why she was supposed,,,,

Knowledge is power. Falcron Camoth xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Falcron woke up without much issue and couldn’t help but smile when he noted that she was resting up against him. He slowly moved her carefully so as to not disturb her and got out of bed. Stepping away from the bed he looked outside and was happy to see that it was a clear day today which would make getting to his home that much easier, and looked over at the bed and simply smiled, noting that he’d let her sleep a while longer provided she didn’t wake up before too much longer, looking at the firepit he renewed the fire a little it wasn’t too bright to wake her but it would keep the hut comfortable. He moved over to the chair he’d sat in the night before and relaxed a moment, grabbing a pouch from his pack he opened it up revealing some food, some bread some salted meat, usually venison since it was the most immediate source of meat available in the deep forest, and some cheese he’d bartered for last time he’d been at the port, he’d packed up four days’ worth of food since it usually took him a couple of days to and from the port to resupply, and the food was capable of sustaining the body until he returned home. While he ate his mind was focused on the night before with the Grim, it was surprisingly further out than he had anticipated, considering they were half a days away from the port and half of that was travelling through the forest it made him wonder if the situation wasn’t a lot worse than they realize, especially since they were creeping ever so closer to dense populations, he couldn’t say for sure that the military would have the means to handle such horrors if they managed to get into the port city and any settlements around the region, he figured it would likely be a slaughter especially having had to deal with some of those horrors along the perimeter of his home. Before long he’d finished what he’d rationed out and finding that he had more questions than answers and plenty of concerns especially with Aylarra here, though he knew that there would be little point in trying to continue to sway her from a task she felt she needed to do so he’d look after her until he could safely bring her back to the castle, though provided that Wren didn’t show up at his doorstep first looking for Aylarra. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Guard it well.

After he finished eating, she started waking up, rolling onto her back and stretching slowly and thoroughly with a 'waking-up-moan' that probably should have been illegal to hear. But she finally blinked her golden eyes open and sat up rubbing at her eyes with one hand while the other pushed back her unruly red curls. She noted him waiting on her and gave him a half-smile as she reached for her pack, digging in to pull out another couple of apples. She offered him one and bit into the other, "I brought plenty of food, you know," she reminded him, letting him know that they wouldn't have to worry about eating. Of course, she hadn't told him about the spell on her pack that allowed her to carry more stuff than the pack indicated.... No one knew she could set that spell either, so she hoped that he didn't ask about it... She closed her pack and shouldered it, "I'm ready whenever you are. I really need to get to the very center of the forest. The true center, not what everyone thinks it is. That's where I need to work and I'll get this fixed," she told him, speaking softly in an effort to disguise the pure music of her voice. Then again, she had just woken up so the sound of her voice held a husky quality that was just as enticing, if not more so. And yes, she was still determined to go. With or without him. That determination showed in every perfect line of her beautiful face as she took another bite of her apple and got to her feet.

Knowledge is power. Falcron Camoth xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Falcron looked at her and took the apple, and bit into it as he grabbed his pack along with the bow and quiver and finished getting ready, taking a bite of the apple here and there was he did so. Once he was done and spoke up “alright let’s get going but we’ll need to stop by my home first, it’s on the way as I’ll need proper equipment and a moment to rest as we’re half a day away from my home so long as we stay on this path” Falcron paused a moment to look outside and just nodded in satisfaction “thankfully we’re moving at a good time and looks like we’re not going to have any weather” he opened the door fully to let the fresh air in and snapped his finger to extinguish the fire and looked at Aylarra his eyes fixed on her a moment before he stepped out of the hut and looked around a moment, thankfully the forest was abuzz with life, birds chirping and his eyes catching movement of small animals moving around, a good sign to say the least. Once Alyarra was standing by him he closed the door and started walking to the path, and then started walking casually towards his home. He knew the way better than anyone, well except Wren who like him knew how to get there without taking the path that led to the port.

Aylarra gave a nod to his plan then followed him as he set out, keeping up easily despite her shorter legs. She didn't say anything for a while, eating her apple and looking at the forest around them. She didn't get out of the castle much, meaning at all, so this was her first real look at anything outside the castle. She seemed to be moving along like a bit of a tourist, to be honest. But it was justifiable in her case, as isolated as she'd been. She finally moved up a bit faster and caught up with him, still looking around at the forest around them as they passed through it, "It's beautiful..." she said softly, her musical voice still just as enchanting as it had been in the hut. But there was another tone to her voice, almost a touch of sadness that couldn't be defined yet. Then her jaw and tone firmed up as she spoke again, this time with determination, "And it will be fixed. I promised. You'll see. It'll be safe again," she added, clearly not going to be deterred from her course. She then moved on past him, her gaze on the path ahead. There was something about her... She was almost invisible in the castle, a bit of a mouse in a way. She was undeniably beautiful and had a cheeky determination to her personality. She was also alot more powerful than anyone gave her credit for, or even guessed at. And there was something about this 'mission' for her, something about it that she had to do personally... And her bouncy red curls were an entertainment all by themselves... Especially when those curls kept falling in her face.

Falcron nodded in agreement, in all honesty he enjoyed the peacefulness of the forest, that is so long was the horrors of the dark forest stayed clear “it is always quite calm during the day, this how it is supposed to be, and how it was initially when I first came to live in the forest” Falcron watched in amazement at how determined she was at trying to fix the problem and smiled when she started picking up her pace and sighed at the youthful energy she had and simply picked up his pace easily catching up to her and continued to lead the way since the path to his home was about to end and getting to his home required knowledge of where to go. Looking at Aylarra when they got to the end of the path he made sure everything was how they were supposed to be before he spoke up “alright, we’re not far from my home in the deep forest so keep close and follow my lead, it is very easy to get lost in this section of the forest, the forest moves and rearranges itself, and can easily mislead you back to this path if you get lost in it” Admittedly he had tried to have a path go up to his home for easy access to his place of residence to those unfamiliar with where to go but sadly every attempt had the living forest cover it up without a trace. Without hesitation Falcron forged forward into the deep forest making sure that Aylarra was right with him as he went to his home his pace much quicker than before so that they could get to his home sooner than later and still have time to rest before they needed to go to the breach to seal it.

Aylarra nodded and followed him in silence. For once, she was paying attention to where she was going. Namely, following him and making sure that she didn't get lost. She knew he didn't really understand why she was doing this. In truth, no one did. Of course, no one had asked her why so she had no opportunity to say so. It might have seemed a bit backwards, but it made sense in her mind. But she had to do it. And she could do it. When they got to his home, she was planning on checking her notes again. She had to make sure that she didn't mess this up. She had to do this.... She only hoped that they could forgive her in the end.... No spell came without a price, after all.... But she knew it would be worth it...

Falcron kept with Aylarra without any difficulty through the forest, they had been extra careful especially after running into a few beasts that seemed to see through the spell and had to be dealt with swiftly before continuing. The trek there was long and slow moving, but they would eventually make it to the epicenter of the breach Aylarra had come out to seal. Falcron moved carelfully around the area while Aylarra stood close to the breach his eyes scanning the area around them Celeste held at the ready, prepared to act against any foe that presented itself to him. Before long he stood behind Aylarra his back to hers as he ensured she was safe from all threats, which for him was not all that hard.

Aylarra had proved that she wasn't useless in defending herself, but she still let him do the fighting when he 'requested' it. Which made her grateful that she could climb trees easily... But now she stood in front of what she'd come here to fix. For a moment, she wondered at her audacity, her arrogance that she could do this. Then she remembered her promise and steadied her feet on the ground, holding her hands out to the side about waist high and started raising power. "I'll put up a shield. It'll buy us some time. But you have to promise me that you won't stop what I'm doing. No matter what it is, you can't stop me. If you do, the spell will pretty much blow up the entire forest and us with it," she warned him, "Also, do your best to not pay much attention when I start to sing. My mother was part siren..." she added, not sure if he would be able to handle it but not having much choice in it. As the power built, the shield rose around them and the breach and sealed then in with it. She set another shield around her and the breach, preventing anything from escaping it and... And sealing her in with it... Then she started singing, raising her voice slowly. By the time she was at full power, she was already sweating and the rift was closing but it was fighting her. So she tapped into her extra reserves and used the spell: Through love was creation achieved The bond was the seal unbroken Sous still united, the bond remains Dark magic that taints, You cannot hope to succeed The love was pure and still is
The pact was made To restore the seal To purify the taint To banish the evil To bring balance once more
By love was it sealed And by blood is it restored The seal to remain forevermore On the last part of the spell, she pulled a dagger from her belt and slashed her wrist before he could stop her. Before she could think about it or stop herself, she shoved it into the rift and gave a final note to her song that was almost scream-worthy. A bank of power built with her as the focus until her entire body was glowing almost incandescent and she finally gave a real scream. Then the power blew. Her second shield protected Jarmore from it, but that went down when she hit it and flew past him to land in a shaded grove a bit away from him. She was unconscious at first, her wrist still bleeding. That blood turned the grass in the grove red, proving that her bloodline was a bit closer to the creators of the Elven Realm than anyone had admitted to... She finally gave a soft groan as she heard his footsteps approach her and turned onto her side. Around them, the forest was being restored. Creatures that didn't belong simply disappeared and the natural wildlife moved back in. Some of them approached and watched him bind up her wrist before one of the unicorns approached slowly. This one was obviously the herd stallion of the Enchanted Forest herd, his horn a spiral of bone and metal. He moved forward and touched the bandage with his horn then turned and left them. Aylarra didn't notice the animals and never saw them leave as she raised her other hand to her head as she tried to curl up with another groan of pain. Everything hurt. She felt like she'd been flayed alive and then beaten and then electrocuted. In truth, she hadn't expected to survive and the pain told her that she had. She didn't understand that part. But she'd proven that she was alot more powerful than anyone knew... The unicorn had healed the cut, but had also allowed it to scar as proof of what she'd done... "Gramps was right... I wish it'd killed me... Everything hurts..." she whimpered softly, trying not to move too much since everything hurt so badly...

When Aylarra started sealing the breach Falcron remained alert for any problems, and didn’t have much in the way of time to really focus on what she was saying or doing when things started coming out of the woodwork Grimms, Hounds and the like started congregating around the shield that Aylarra put up around them. When they started beating on the shield Falcron knew he couldn’t allow that to break and took aim with Celeste, the edge of the blade glowed suddenly as it moved along the edge to the barrel after which an arcane bolt flew forward hitting the first Grimm causing it to back off, seeing as he was protecting her until the job was done he didn’t waste any time unleashing a volley of bolts from the internal crossbow each one hitting multiple targets causing them to fall dead or step back from the shield around them. It was only after the breach was sealed that Falcron lowered Celeste and started moving to Aylarra that he fell to a knee suddenly, the pain of felt which only suggested that the king had fallen truly gave him cause for concern. Falcron pushed through the pain as he struggled to move and finally got to Aylarra putting a hand on her shoulder and looked at her, his face still covered by his helmet but it wasn’t hard to tell that he might have been struggling through the pain of losing a king, but his focus was on making sure that Aylarra was alright “are… Are you alright?”

Aylarra shook her head, "No... But I will be... Give me a moment..." she said softly, doing her best to pretend that her head wasn't pounding. But she sat up anyway and looked around the clearing briefly then at him, considering what to do next. "Choices..." she whispered to herself then made a decision. "I'm probably going to regret this later..." she said and held one hand out to him, noting that he simply placed his hand in hers without question. That was all it took, along with a softly hummed note that activated a pre-set spell that would instantly transport them both to the King's Castle. She was going to be basically useless until she'd had some rest after they got there. She'd used up alot of energy in a major spell that should have killed her, plus a transport spell. But it would get them both to the castle where she could rest and he could check on Wren.
