Nice, but considering the issues of energy usage, component replacement, infrastucture development, device security and overall operative cost it seems relatively far in our future.

As interesting as that may sound, to me it would be way more distracting and very complicated. I'd prefer to have things the way they are without such technology, plus I highly doubt that would actually happen, especially with the way things are in America today, mostly because of this long difficult recession and decline in the economy.
