Hanae crashed through the doors with aplomb, sighed, and looked around for Minowa. She'd seen Shikatsu leaving just a few moments ago, and with all the clamor outside she figured there was something important going on. No way the oh-so-serious Shikatsu would run like that to see some pretty fireworks, no sir!
"Ahh, Minnow!" she greeted the lad. "Sorry for making you wait! Got a bit sidetracked, is all. You know how it is. Hey, did Shikki say anything before running off? Seems like there's a commotion over toward the Ramen Shop, but I swear I didn't start it!"
She tilted her head to one side and crossed her arms. In mere moments her gaze went from being fixed on Minowa to dancing around the area. She was looking for a good mud spot; put another way, she was looking for a spot where the dirt was dense but not impenetrable. Like her! Eventually her eyes settled on a spot pretty near to the water-meister himself, Kirigakure's very own Minnow. She didn't say anything, but a devious grin spread across her face.

A rumble, a roar, a party! While she was busy worrying about where Chihiro had gotten off to and planning an epic mud pit, Hanae completely missed both the state of alarm and the opening bells of the festival. How much time had she lost?!
Then everything changed when the watermelons attacked. First it was the commotion right outside, then the sounds of a struggle caught the elegant young lady's attention. That was it! She couldn't stand it anymore!
"The heck's going on out here?!" she cried, busting through the door with characteristic fervor. There, she saw the hellscape the village had become, overrun as it was with living melons. "Minnow!" she called back as she took off toward the streets. "I'm gonna get to the bottom of this! Fortify our defenses against the green army! The streets will run pink with their guts!"

Chihiro and Botamochi ran down the streets as they were stopped by her mother. 'No, mum, wait-!" Before she could argue, her mother took Chihiro in her arms and her pet took Botamochi by the gruff of the neck. They flail as they were sent back home.
[ Many hours later ]
Now things had calm down, Chihiro and Botamochi were released from the grasp of her mother and her pet. Arrived at the sparring grounds with new clothes, and it looked like Botamochi had a bath. She panted as her hands were on her thighs. "Mum -pants- took -pant- force -pant- Bath." She was trying to catch her breath as Botamochi did not seem please. At all. His eyes gazed over to an amazing looking mud. She stood up and saw that it was only Minowa that waited for her. She blinked as she frowned. Guilt consumed her. She was tired. So tired. Without warning, tears streamed down her cheeks as she started to sob slightly. "I hate being a -hic- kid!" Angry and possibly overstimulated from today, the child was still learning and processing everything. Both hands went up to rub her eyes. "I don't wanwhhaaa" She couldn't finish as she was crying uncontrollably and she doesn't know or understand why which makes her cry harder. Botamochi whined as he tried to get her attention by pulling on her clothes, licking her elbow, and even let out a rather loud bark.

After being left in the Training Grounds by Hanae, and still awaiting the initial arrival of Chihiro, Minowa simply. Sat. He itched to climb up a tree and join Itoko up in the shaded canopy but that would mean less visibility in scouting Chihiro in the people passing through - and greatly reduces the chance of Chihiro being able to locate him in return. It was an interesting sight when the watermelon horde managed to work its way this far out, but the animated fruits seemed to be completely harmless in their own rights. Just... bouncing along. Being chased by adults and children alike. It was an interesting enough sight to help keep him preoccupied until the sound of running and laboured breathing had him turning around.
Chihiro was dressed in new clothes and Botamochi was practically shimmering with his freshly washed coat. And neither looked pleased. Minowa stood up, Itoko at his side already, peering up at the newly arrived pair with curiosity and only a small amount of trepidation - then both Mist nin and Binturong blinked and flinched back in surprise and confusion as the young Inuzuka suddenly started crying. Bright blue eyes glanced around the area, unsure if he was looking around for an enemy that had startled the girl or maybe because he wasn't sure what to do. After a few seconds, Minowa stepped forward and did the only thing he thought might comfort this new companion. He placed a hand on her head. He knows adults usually pet the heads of crying children, but he's also seen girls get angry at their hair being messed up, so he just let it lightly sit there.
"Adults underestimate kids the most." Minowa spoke, his eyes pinching and lips pressing tight for a moment after Botamochi's loud bark. "We should make the most of it while we can." Even Minowa could feel his words were underwhleming - is this what someone would call 'lame?' Is that the word?

Chihiro felt a heavy hand on her head as she settled a little bit. Still hiccuping and crying slightly, she heard Minowa's words as she shook her head. "I dun't care. I hate being a kid.." Her arms wrapped around Minowa as her fists roughly gripped his clothing as she basically forced him into a hug. Botamochi whined softly as he tried to squeeze in between them for the hug as it made Chihiro laugh. The cold nose pressed up against her face as she released Minowa, squirming away from Botamochi and giggling. Botamochi's tail was wagging with thump thump on the ground. Pushed Botamochi away and had him stop, she rubbed her eyes rather sleepily but she wasn't acting like it. It was then the emerald hues glanced around as she frowned. "Where... where do we go now?" She questioned the older boy as if he had all the answers in the world.

Minowa opened his mouth to reply to the younger girl's declaration, only to find himself tensing, words caught in his throat at the smaller genin was suddenly wrapping her arms around him. Minowa felt the prim stitching of his jacket pull, the panels of expensive, reinforced fabric resisting Chihiro's grip as if it was personally affronted by the embrace. Minowa himself, meanwhile, just stood motionless, arms held out to the side slightly and hand no-longer resting on the Leaf nin's head. Apart from his tense posture, the blonde boy didn't appear to outwardly resist, though it was over almost as quickly as it had occurred, with a squirming Botamochi splitting the two apart. Breathing a little easier, crystal blue eyes looked down to find Itoko tense and wary, reacting to the sudden action with a suppressed instinct they had both acquired during darker times. Minowa held out a hand to Itoko and took a step away from the Inuzuka, signalling to remain calm and that the situation was safe. Itoko pushed its body tight up against Minowa's leg, peering at the Leaf pair of Tamer and animal.
"You're not allowed to play in the mud anymore, is that correct?" He asks, one hand still comforting the Binturong at his side. "What about exploring?" Minowa pulled on his own preferences of how he spent his free time as a suggestion, not knowing what else to bring up instead. He certainly wasn't going to ask if she wanted to go shopping like the older girls would do. "Try to find hiding spots no-one knows about in the middle of the village."

Chihiro watched Itoko. She so badly wanted to pet him! But it seemed like that he doesn't like them. Maybe they both don't like him? Confusion washed over her face as she looked at Botamochi. When she's happy, he's happy! When she's sad, he's sad. Does this mean that if one doesn't like the other it's because she doesn't like him either? Chihiro frowned as she tried to make sense but luckily, it doesn't take much for her to be pulled away. "Huh?" She questioned as Minowa explained that she wasn't allowed to play in the mud and that they could go exploring. "Yay! Exploring! Let's do it! Accident fall in mud can happen." Chihiro smiled mischievously, her lone sharp canine poking out with the smile as the other hasn't grown in yet. "Oooohhh! Hiding!" Now this was something Chihiro would be down to do. "Where to first?" She questioned as she thought of different areas in Konoha and attempted to remember what all was in there for her to hide but it was hard because what child would try to remember what all does an area have?

Minowa was breathing a little easier now he wasn't face-to-face with teary eyes and a ruddy nose. "Somewhere no-one would look for you is always the easiest place to start." Minowa spoke, his arms once again free to hang at his sides. "Where is a place you would rarely go?" He asks the energetic leaf nin, partly because Minowa was still learning his way around the village but also because he wasn't sure taking the reigns would really last with Chihiro's energy.

While Minowa talked, she rubbed her snotty and wet face into her shirt by lifting it up and showing her belly unintentionally to Minowa as her face felt wet and sticky. She liked mud wetness, not this. This felt... odd and different. Somewhere where no one would find her? Well, that's hard! With a puff of her cheeks, she thought about it. Her mum and dad both had a good sense of smell along with their companions. Her peridot eyes glanced over to Botamochi who was laying between Minowa and Chihiro, belly up and tail wagging. Then she remembered. "We hate the hospital! So many smells there, it's powerful, and it would be hard to uh what does dad say? rack? Brack.. Thack... Track.. no hmm. Mack.." She frowned, racking her head over and over to find the one word she was looking for not knowing she got it. As she frowned her one canine tooth would be slightly sticking out on her lower lip. With a smile, she turned and snapped her fingers. The moment Botamochi heard the snap, he got up and was right by her side. "Let's go!" The duo ran off to the hospital, made sure they waited for Minowa too, it would be rude to leave him behind after all!

Minowa felt his mouth twist in one corner in disgust to the thought of body fluids being ones clothing but didn't comment. "The hospital..." Minowa repeated. He didn't know what word the younger Genin was trying to say but he decided to go along with it, still getting used to how people socialise as a whole anyway. The snap of her fingers and the sudden movement of her and Botamochi took Minowa and Itoko aback, both flinching slightly and taking a second before they followed after her. Is Chihiro how people that age usually act...?

Arriving on the Sparring Grounds, Inka finds a more secluded and quiet field and settles down in a patch of soft grass in the shade of a tree, enjoying what small reminder of Kirigakure it could give him. Settled and at ease, Inka began focusing on the feeling of his chakra, changeling it around his body at a slower rate as he felt out the sensations at the energy circulating throughout his body. [ 1/4 Intermediate Training: Performance ]
Feeling content with the feedback, Inka slowly began to speed up the cycles, moving his chakra faster and faster until it felt like the flow was no-longer smooth, to which he would keep the pace there until he was able to improve on it. It was calming work, and one with little hiccups in such a simple manoeuvre after so many years of experience. Still, it also showed he wasn't as adept as he could or should be - bereft from a lot of practical experience due to his position as Kage instead. [ 2/4 Intermediate Training: Performance ]
Breathing out, Inka then quickly followed up by sucking in a breath, tightening his core while his hands flew through simple handsigns. Drawing upon the flowing chakra, Inka activated a basic-level jutsu and felt the chakra flow over him as his body was covered in an illusion, disguising himself in a simple Anbu uniform with a blank mask. After dispelling the jutsu, once again Inka focused on the flow and speed of movement of his chakra, but this time without the preparation beforehand, trying to find any difference that may indicate areas he would have to train on. Tightening his core with a sharp intake of air, Inka activated the jutsu once again, the small frown on his features hidden behind a blank mask. Dispelling the technique a second time, Inka simply sat, apparently meditating, while talking to himself in an almost imperceptible volume.
