If you go the the Gaia guides and resources subforum on the main Gaia forums you can find numerous guides people have created with instructions on how to get gold. Additionally, Gaia has a built in basic guide you can check out just by clicking where it says "post, vote, or explore to earn gold!" up on the far right side of the bar with the home, my gaia, shops, world, and game tabs.
