TREBLE CLEF The lines from the bottom up are EGBDF (way to remember: Every Good Boy Does Fine) The spaces from the bottom up are FACE (way to remember: FACE) xp Crudely drawn example!:
The ABCDEFG pattern repeats and notes can be written below or above the clef as shown:
For theory purposes, middle C = c1 An octave (8 notes up) = c2, etc for c3 and so on heart

BASS CLEF Lines from the bottom up are GBDFA (way to remember: Good Boys Do Fine Always) Spaces from the bottom up are ACEG (way to remember: All Cows Eat Grass) Another crudely drawn example!:
The Treble and Bass clefs kind of merge around c1 For theory purposes, and octave down from c1 is c and an octave down from that is C.

Alto clef:
Based around middle C (C2, based on Wuggy's notes), which happens to be the middle line on the staff. The cool thing about this clef is that you can move the clef marking around, and the line that it's on assumes the position of Middle C. On that note, the Tenor Clef shares the same Clef sign, but sits on the 4th line up from the bottom.
