I have a bunch of things like aquarium backgrounds, clothes etc, that only sell for 1 gold in the market. Nobody buys them so can I throw them away some how? I need to clean my inventory out. Thanks.

Try moving them to the storage locker. its in your inventory under organize inventory.

well you could always give it away to a junk collector >.<; or make a mule account to store your junk items

You can trash some items by going to your Inventory, clicking on the item(s), and clicking the "Trash Item(s)" button that may or may not come up. The items you are able to trash do not have a sell-back value and they are not necessarily valuable (I.E. some game items). The administration did this as to prevent people from accidentally deleting evolving items or monthly collectibles, or other valuable items.
