hey i haven't read anything on any of the posts or seen any forums on surfing am i the only one who loves to surf if u r a fellow surfer please tell me do u use long board or short board how did u come into enjoying surfing where do u surf what kind of board do u have if u live in or near oceanside cali u wanna surf with me i need a buddy cause it's always more enjoyable if u have a buddy

I'm a long boarder, a 7'10" board (I'm really lightweight). Surfing since December 2008. I came into surfing because I always wanted to have the thrill of gliding across water and the feeling of getting barreled. I surf on Maui because this is where I reside. And ya, I also think it's way more enjoyable with a surfing companion because you both get to share the experiences. Besides, if you drown on an epic wave, who's going to tell your story? (just a joke xP)

Oh, did I mention that surfing (longboard and shortboard) and bodyboarding is considered a high school sport in Hawaii? It's awesome. But, I couldn't try out for the longboarders because I'm still not that good. Yet. The funny thing is, there's only 2 longboarders that tried out.
