Japanese Pokemon Platinum players will get a chance to obtain a Darkrai by receiving the Membership Card via Wi-Fi Mystery Gift. The date of distribution will be December 1st to January 15th.
If you don't have a Japanese Pokemon Platinum, this is potentially a good sign that they'll do it for the english release as well. (Checking GameFAQs, it appears there is still no planned release date.)

That is pertinent to my interest, I didn't own Diamond when the first Darkrai event happened.
