I always named my pokemon after mythological figures... like, A fast pokemon that can learn cut would usually earn the title odin, or a grass type would be gaia, or Quetzacoatl... I always had a gyarados and named it leviathen though.... ^^

espeon (F) Ivy- cute, short and sort of elegant
latios (M) Sora- means sky, wich is blue, enormous and misteryous
Blaziken (F) Tammy- Because when she was a torchic, i wanted something cute that started with a T, i can't change it now XD
Ampharos (M) Fai- Inspired by my favorite tsubasa RC character, careless, tall, sweet and cute
Steelix (M) Irony- This was random, really....XD
Pachirisu (F) Nana- cute, catchy and i think it suits her :3

Jolteon (M): Sirius (who in fact, has a serious nature...)
Jolteon (F): Sakura
Flareon (M): Satoshi
Flareon (F): Rika
Espeon (F): Reina
Umbreon (M): Reito (That's me whee ~ )
Umbreon (F): Rika
Leafeon (F): Kanon (Not the same person as Eevee (F) )
Glaceon (F): Namie
Raichu (M): Saito
Houndoom (M): Keima

I named Absol Disaster cuz of the pokedex entry...creative I know...

I used to put all the Pokemon's names backwards, til I realized Eevee and Gifafarig were the same....

I usually just name Pokemon I'm going to use in my teams. :3 I also don't nickname legendaries 'cause that just feels wrong somehow. >>;
