I always choose the fire Pkmn, but Charmander is my favorite! Charazard is very useful since he also doubles as a flying Pkmn, leaving me another spot in my team!

In every handheld pokemon games i have played, i have chosen fire starters first. My favorite starter pokemon would have to be Charmander.

when i first play a handheld pokemon game i would usually pick the water starters for some reason then later on i pick the fire starters which are my favorite next.
1st gen- Venasaur and Cahrizard
2nd gen- Typhlosion and Feraligator
3rd gen- Blaziken, Swampert, Sceptile
4th gen- Empoleon and Torterra

I usually vary as i used grass on fire red and fire on pokemon diamond

My fav would have to be Cyndaquil, its so cute and IMO the best looking starters(maybe regular Pokemon as well) are the 2nd gen ones.

I tend to be the most comfortable starting with water types. I've tried starting with grass and didn't like it as much, haven't used a fire type starter yet because I like something that's got a type advantage in the first gym.
Overall I'd say Mudkip's my favourite; I like the whole evolutionary line. Swampert kicks a**, and I love the fact that it's part ground so for one the electric attacks aren't as effective on it as they would be on a pure water type, and for another it can learn moves like Earthquake.

My most fav of all time HAS to be Charmander. Who can beat something that evolves into Charizard? Plus, Charmander is hecka cute ^_^

If I had to choose from the first gen, it'd be Squirtle. He was my first pokemon and he's awesome! I like Cyndaquil in Gold and Silver. And in Ruby I chose... aw I cant remember. But my fav pokemon from there was Raquaza. I got mine up to lvl 100 and beat the Elite 4 like 3 times with him and 5 lvl 1 Pichus. It was awesome. In Diamond I chose Chimchar cause I like fire but Piplup was kinda cute ^_^

Hard to say.. confused
I'd say it's a tie between Cyndaquil and Mudkip.
I think Typlosion was one of the best (single type) pokemon... Plus, it's just friggin awesome. xD
Then There's Swampert. I don;t know if anyone agrees with me, but I think the whole water/ground type is one of the best. xD
