Lynching was considered a family past time. Family would bring their kids to witness lynching, not only in the South but the Southwest. Postcards of lynching were sold.

What is this "lynching" you speak of?
I see it from time to time, but I've never bothered to ask until now.
And I assume it's a...negative thing...? @__@

In the South and midWest, they used to and sometimes still do...hang or burn to death black people and other ethnicity.
Basically a mob murder.
