"You have no idea." Adrian said with a small sigh as he got up and brought his empty dishes to the kitchen before returning to his bed.

Amaya smiled sadly after Adrian, but once he was gone, Amaya called Calista over. "Sweet heart, come here, we have work to do..." Amaya said, cracking her neck as she now stood up.

((lol nope go ahead. I meant to elaborate before you got on, but I was lazy, so you get to deal with mystery))
Amaya limped into the ring in silence, the girl looking around with a distant stare. She seemed out of it, just waiting for her opponent to enter the ring.
Sikes sat in his chair with a grin, looking down in the ring at his broken fighter. He wasn't sure what to bet tonight. He knew Amaya was strong, but she'd been thoroughly beaten the night before.

Adrian quietly took his place a few feet away, looking down into the ring with a worried expression. He didn't bare Sikes any mind, deciding their owner to be a lost cause. He truly wanted to end the man right then and there for all he was putting Amaya through, but knew it wouldn't be good to do it now. Once they were ready to make their escape and he showed up, then he'd finish him off.

A gate opened at the far entrance of the arena and a bulking monster, twice Amaya's size slowly made its way into the arena. He looked down at the injured girl before him and grinned, it would be a quick fight.
He moved fast, much faster than Amaya expected it seemed, sending her flying into the far wall.
Amaya hit the wall with a sickening smack, falling to the floor a few minutes later. Blood trickled down her head once more, the girl slowly rising to her feet, coughing up blood as she did so. Moving wasn't really an option for Amaya with her ankle that broken. As it was, she was already in so much pain she could hardly stand anyway.

Adrian gritted his teeth as he watched Amaya go flying. He didn't realize the hulking monster would be so fast. But not for long he wouldn't. Once upon a time, he probably would have had to take on an expression of intense concentration to do what he was about to do, but that was ancient history compared to now. Keeping his eyes on Amaya's opponent, he began to work his magic from the stands, forcing the monster's blood to pump much slower, giving it barely enough energy to stay conscious much less fight effectively.

The monster grinned, feeling his blood slow, though it picked right back up, knowing whomever was trying to slow him would notice as well. He wasn't just large...he controlled blood as well, and much better than whomever was trying to stop him. A shadow interrupted his thoughts, slicing into his arm and sending him back a few feet. Turning back to his opponent, he smirked and pulled blood from his wound, relishing the horror apparent on Amaya's face before sending a blade of blood at Amaya.
Amaya screamed out in pain, falling back into the wall, using it for what support she could to stay up, though she was shaking badly from pain and now blood loss. She glared, several shadows rising up from the ground now, all moving like blades. If she could tear him apart before he went in for the next attack...but it was already too late. She screamed again as he now pulled blood from her head and stabbed her in the ribs, pinning her to the wall.

Adrian's face paled slightly when he realized just what Amaya was going up against. His grip on the railing tightened a bit before trying again. He'd keep at it until the fight was over, even if it meant blowing his cover.

Amaya looked up in the stands now, up towards Adrian. She was bleeding badly and she looked to be in a large amount of pain. A small smile came onto her lips as she looked up at him, seeming to mouth "sorry".
Sikes saw this and sat back in his chair, clicking the button for Adrian's collar, giving just enough electricity to interrupt his powers.
The monster had stalked over by that point, his fingers twitching with excitement. Pulling a few more blades of blood from Amaya, he stabbed her several more times just to hear her scream. Finally though, he'd become bored. With one swift movement, he thrust a single blade directly into her heart.
Amaya's eyes widened, then seemed to dull as she looked up at Adrian. Little flecks of shadow began to fall away from Amaya's body, as the life left her eyes. More and more flecks fell away until...Amaya was gone. Her time in the ring had come to a tragic end...

Adrian gave a brief cry of pain and fell to his knees from the jolt and got back up just in time to see Amaya's final moments, his eyes widening in horror. "...No....No, Amaya....! AMAYAAAAAAA!!!" he cried before doubling over as he held his head. His mind was swimming with thoughts and feelings and he didn't know who to kill first, the monster that killed her or the monster in the ring. Never had he felt this much anger, this much hatred, and his monster side was loving it. "I SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU AGES AGO!!" he screamed suddenly turning to leap at Sikes with bloodlust in his eyes. It was his fault Amaya was gone. He kept throwing her in the ring. He kept getting her hurt.

Sikes only smirked and threw the switch on Adrian's collar, turning up the voltage now until he was on the ground once more. Once Adrian was well subdued, Sikes stood up and walked over, kicking him onto his back so he could look up at him, his foot on his chest. "You should have, if you were intelligent, you would have. Then again, if you were intelligent, you wouldn't be down here. You're stuck here now. It's you and the kid. And when you've outlived your usefulness like that thing, I'll move onto the kid. You've got a fight tomorrow, if you don't show up, I'll throw in the brat." He laughed before he walked away, leaving Adrian on the floor alone.

((My iTunes does not want to play moment appropriate music, it seems. >_>;; ))
Between being forced onto his pain filled back and getting super shocked, Adrian was brought back into reality, not that he wanted to be. He just continued to lay there as tears started to well up in his eyes. He didn't want to go back to that poor excuse for a home. Amaya was gone. He wouldn't know how to tell Calista. Eventually, he couldn't take it anymore and just let out one long miserable wail and broke down crying as he curled up into a ball. He didn't care who saw him, he had just lost all effort to do anything else now and simply spent the night in the stands.

((Lol. what did it play?))
The next morning Calista came wandering into arena with Peter and a life size version of Sophie at her sides. She was looking for Adrian, only seeming slightly upset. "Peter. Go find Adrian." Calista told the bear, who nodded and wandered off into the stands while Sophie put Calista on top of her head. Peter found Adrian rather quickly, though he approached him with caution, poking Adrian with hesitance in an attempt to wake him up.

Adrian shooed Peter away as he rolled over. He seemed to be awake, but didn't feel like getting up; not now. His eyes were still red from all the crying he'd done the night before.
