The dog is man's friend who can understand the human's spirit and obey its master, whether he is wealthy or not. The Chinese regard the dog as an auspicious animal. If a dog happens to come to a house, usually the host will be very glad to adopt it, for it symbolizes the coming of fortune. Poodles, especially black poodles, bring more luck. The masters of dogs are not only humans, but immortal in legends as well. The invincible God Erlang used a wolf-dog mix to help him capture monsters. Now I think I'll try to combine all of the traits and what not combined to create an overall Chinese Zodiac description of who I am. These people are intelligent and warm-hearted. They are always energetically ready for any challenge they face and are most likely to bring great fortune to their homes. StrengthsAlthough these people have great skills at communicating, they tend to keep their intelligence and secrets to themselves. Their calm, cheerful, and friendly personality make them a favorite among many, and are more likely to become popular by their personality than any actions. With their intense passion and having a rich source of inspiration, these people are determined to accomplish their goals and work for success. Through this, they become a faithful employee and inspire others with their confidence and leadership skills. WeaknessesThese people prefer to rely on themselves and are cautious about what they say, due to having doubt about other people's judgement and opinions. As a result, they sometimes come off as suspicious, headstrong, and stubborn. Furthermore, their timid personality often makes them come off as cold emotionally and distant at parties. One should be careful around these people for if they are angered, they are known to be hot-blooded and have sharp tongues. The personality aspect was easier to combine the traits together, but the lucky items and what not were harder to combine. So, some of them may be off a bit due to alternating ways of combing them without realizing it. *shrugs* Oh well.
At least the personality aspect sounds about right to who I am.

Ooo... I just found a tutorial for easy Chinese chopstick bun hairstyles. I'll have to practice doing a couple of them to see if I'll be able to make it happen with my long, thick hair. :D Just will have to find the pair of chopsticks that I have and see if they're long enough to use... since I don't have any specific hair chopsticks, lol.

This is really exciting to come across and makes me even more excited to wear the Chinese dress for my costume to the bowling event.
And I'm sure Alex will get a kick out of it since we had sushi for our first date, lol.

In honor of the haunting holiday, I've decided to post in a black and orange gradient rather than my usual pink/purple gradient style. Don't worry my usual gradient will come back after the holiday is over.

So after a frantic search for my pair of chopsticks (and finding them up in the attic where my parents must have packaged my Japanese bowl and tea cup set up when they were cleaning the pantry cabinet up awhile back), I finally mastered the Chinese braid bun style that I found a YouTube tutorial for yesterday. I tried it out last night and was able to do it.
And I'm currently wearing it right now as well. I thought I would wear it for the day to see how it feels having it up and how it'll hold up with any movement I do. So far I'm enjoying it.
I'm planning on adding the Snake braid look to it as well after I ran across a Chinese Princess look. So I'll have a majority of my hair up in this Chinese Braid bun, but will have a couple strands done in the Snake braid. *shrugs* Though I haven't tried doing both of them at the same time. I may just opt out to just do the bun.

I just have to say that the Halloween-themed episodes that I watched for Grimm and ONCE were totally awesome. I loved seeing how decorated Monroe had his place. Wish I lived in his neighborhood to see it in person... and maybe actually look at all of the decorations he had inside. Then the fact that Dr. Frankenstein was Dr. Whale! Totally cool! Loved the interaction between him, Rumple, Jefferson (Mad Hatter) and Regina.
Having Frankenstein introduced to the ONCE world opens so many more possibilities that could potentially be tied into the storyline. So exciting!
