Cheria's eyes fluttered open after awhile to the sound of Sheena waking her up. It was still dark out, though. Was she waking her up because of the night desert thing? Aw. How nice of her. "I'm up. Thanks, Sheena." Getting ready to leave, which included a shower - thank the gods, Cheria and Sheena left the Pokémon Center and headed for the desert again.

Without realizing it, Skye had fallen asleep. When she woke up, it was early in the morning. Huh....Being alone was boring. Didn't look like Cheria was around. Had she gone one ahead to Opelucid then? That was upsetting. Standing, Skye stretched before her holo caster went off. She was notified of a Gligar that was recently put up for trade. But, she wasn't going to trade her Pokémon. Smiling, she sent a text to her parents for a hack into the GTS. Within minutes, she had a Gligar on her team. Yes! It was great having technology to pull thee heists off. Did she feel bad? No way. She saved that Gligar from a possibly abusive trainer or a life in the GTS, and managed to not abandon her own Pokémon in the process.

The Pokémon around here were a bit too strong for her team yet. Maybe she would head back to Castelia or Nacrene to train them there. The second gym was in Nacrene regardless, so it wasn't much trouble. And, of she had the second badge, she could go to Opelucid without much worry of the obedience thing.

After awhile, Skye got a text from her father telling her he'd sent something to her PC. Really? Well, when she got a chance to change up her team, she would check it out. Maybe it was something awesome and fierce. Like a Spearow! Or, knowing her dad, cute. Maybe a Zubat. He liked those. So did Skye, but they were so annoying in caves. Even Skye hated their shear numbers.

Entering the city Simon had a flashback to when he was here battling for the badge from the gym here. It felt like so long ago when he had traveled to this region after failing over and over against Valerie. It took a lot of training for him to finally defeat Elesa but he did it and won her badge. Last time he was just rushing from gym to gym to just get the badges so he could control Dusknoir in battle. He hadn't had the time to look at the Musical Hall or the Sports Dome, there wasn't even a chance to really look over the gym which was based in an amusement park. The first thing he did was enter the area with the gym. There was a giant Pikachu balloon along with a stand that sold Magnemite balloons and the most impressive piece aside from the gym which contained rollercoaster type rides was the Ferris wheel. According to the sign it was the Rondex-View Ferris Wheel, well that was punny. Before he could get on though he found out it was a couples only ride. Oh well, leaving it behind he returned to the city at large to continue to look around.

The next area he decided to visit was the Pokemon Musical Hall. Inside he was able to see a registration counter, just pass them there was the way into the stage. To the right was a door labeled backstage. Passing around the registration counter he went upstairs to where their were a few chairs facing a glass wall. Moving to it Simon could see the stage below where the Pokemon would come out and a long table where the judges sat. There were better seats down below but you could see just fine from here. There were speakers in the top corners that provided sound. Walking back to the registration desk Simon asked when the next musical was. The woman asked if he wanted to register but Simon shook his head just wanting to watch first. The next one was in a few hours, if Simon was still around he'd come back and watch thanking her for the information. Leaving the hall he went nextdoor to the stadiums.

Heading into the heart of the city he noticed an odd shaped rock sticking out of the dirt. Kneeling he brushed the dirt away and was surprised to see he located a Razor Claw. It was good for bringing up critial strikes in a battle but was also used to evolve a certain Pokemon. It was on the tip of his tongue but he couldn't remember it right now. Tucking it away he went to the small statium. According the sign in the small arena there were two sporting events in hosted in here. There was a baseball and tennis game in here the twist was that Pokemon were involved. Looking at the pictures he saw a Machoke pitching against a human another one was a Monferno wearing a hat as a played threw him into the air to catch a high ball. Then next one was a Combusken and a player waiting for a serve from another player and a Lucario. It was the opposite of the Musical Hall as the game had already started and no one else could enter until it was over. Heading to the larger statium it was Football and Soccor once again with Pokemon. The only picture in the Football picture was a Mega Evolved Heracross acting as a tackle. In the soccor picture there was of course trainers running with Hitmonlee and Hitmontop.

Since he needed to find more Black Flutes and maybe he could locate a new Pokemon to catch, raise and train. After having raised Mareep to Ampharos it seemed like a cool thing. Two Flectchling, one stone so returning to the Pokecenter he healed everyone up just because he could and went outside to send out Noivern. "Next stop is Chargestone Cave, I need to locate a few more Black Flutes while we're training there." Noivern nodded but flapped his wings a bit and Simon understood. "Want to fly around a bit and stretch out?""Ver." Simon nodded and Noivern took off into the sky soaring through the clouds. Watching the dark dot fly in and out of the clouds Simon wished he could just fly as well. After another five minutes Noivern came back down as Simon climbed on and off they went.

Nimbasa City; his old stomping grounds. His place of birth, home for a good majority of his life and favorite place to be. Usually. A reminiscent expression crossed his face as he walked through the streets. He'd have to check his old stomping grounds and make sure he was still on the leader-boards at the arcade near the fair. Or go see if anything worth while was playing at the Musical Theatre. Or go get a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants. He was actually pretty hungry; it'd been a while since he'd eaten and he still owed his team a treat. Of course, he could save himself some money and call up the family, though chances were at this time of day they were out and about living their own lives. Maybe his brother would be free. His parents were probably working -retirement, was that ever going to be a thing? - and his sister probably not. She had a job and family of her own to take care of, though he made a mental note to drop in and say hello. It'd been quite a while since he'd visited his nephews and he needed their expert opinions on new tricks to try.
"Hm...," Decisions, decisions. Sissil, who had taken up residence on his shoulder, gave the man a curious look. Eventually though, Faraday smiled and started along the path to his destination. He'd get himself some food and contact Addison while he was at it. Nimbasa was a big city after all; therefor, he'd accomplished his end of the mission. So what was next?

What better time was there to welcome new life than when you were trying to find something to eat? Apparently, the egg thought so. As Faraday walked he heard a soft humming emit from his bag. Both he and Sissil looked at one another in confusion at the noise before he finally stopped and fished the egg out. It was incredibly warm to the touch and a light hint of a glow was beginning to envelope the shell.
"Well damn." Faraday hadn’t expected the egg to hatch so soon. It’d been what… a few days since he’d obtained it? And now here it was, trying to hatch on him. Wonderful. Without a moment’s hesitation he set it down on the ground in front of him, taking a slight step back so it had room to do its thing. Soon it was glowing brighter and brighter until finally the egg shape disappeared and took its true form.

Faraday’s eyes went wide as the light dimmed and revealed the Zorua underneath. Well now, that was really not what he’d been expecting. A Zorua egg was what he’d taken from those thugs? Well now, that was a find! He knew about the pokemon –hell, what magician didn’t?- but he’d never expected to encounter one for himself, let alone own one. It was… well it was straight up amazing. Sissil watched the newly hatched form with a hard gaze, tail swishing about as he hung from Faraday’s shoulder. He had no clue who or what this little dark fox creature was and frankly, he wasn’t sure if he liked it. The Zorua squinted and stared at both man and pokemon with an inquisitive gaze.
"Well hello there, little fellah." He remarked, offering out a hand to the creature in greeting. The Zorua gave him a bit of a look, ears twitching in response. Whatever it was thinking of the situation, it didn’t have words. Faraday kept smiling though, hauling himself back up to his feet, still staring down at the creature. "Not very talkative, huh?" Weren’t they supposed to talk? Maybe this one hadn’t found its voice yet. Or maybe it didn’t speak English. That would certainly make communication difficult. He pulled out his pokedex, beginning to learn what he could about the pokemon. His stomach growled in the process though and so with a frown, he pulled out Dresden’s pokeball and summoned the rabbit out.
"Dresden, we’ve got a new friend." Faraday remarked, gesturing between the two. The bunny blinked and tilted his head, giving the Zorua a stern look. Hm. A new team mate? Alright then. Faraday turned and started walking, continuing to head to find something to eat. Dresden eyed the Zorua a moment before ushering it to follow along, keeping stride with it.

Faraday wasn’t going to be getting any lunch. At least, it was starting to look that way. While Dresden handled getting the Zorua situated – the little fox pokemon didn’t seem all too interested in paying attention the white rabbit, his gaze wandering in every other direction as he took note of their surroundings- Faraday led the way down the block. They hadn’t gotten more than halfway down the block though when a new face decided to make an appearance. Or rather, an old acquaintance.
”You know, Addison said you were using your face. I thought she was joking.” A voice suddenly spoke up. Faraday stopped in his tracts, gaze immediately narrowing as he looked to his left. There was the street and then a bench, with a single person behind a newspaper on it. He stared hard at the figure a moment, just staying in place. Sissil blinked and looked back curiously as well, Dresden had halted in his own steps and was eyeing the stranger out of the corner of his eyes. The Zorua wasn’t paying attention, only giving a brief glance at the commotion before wandering off a bit to look at what seemed to be a magazine rack.
After a moment of silence, Faraday quirked an eyebrow and placed his hands on his hips. "That so?" The figure flicked the paper and folded it, revealing a dirty blonde hair fellow about Faraday’s age, though a bit older looking. The man adjusted the collar of his jacket before getting to his feet, tucking the paper under his arm in the process. ”I figured you’d cover up some.” The detective gave a wry smile in response, relaxing as he turned to face the man more. "Well we can’t all be devilishly mundane, like you Lyndon." Lyndon scoffed, an eyebrow quirking upward. ”Well we can’t all be painfully obvious either. Hello Faraday.”

"So what brings you to the light of day exactly?" Faraday inquired. Lyndon wasn’t exactly an agent who came out often; he was behind the lines, helping maintain the details of missions and such. He was more-so Addison’s superior if it had to be explained. Anything he need agents under his supervision to know, usually went through the contact. It was a rare occasion to see him in the flesh himself.
Lyndon frowned a little, the air intensifying for a moment before his gaze shifted to look around. ”Reasons.” Faraday had to try hard not to frown. That was certainly vague. Like, terribly so. ”What were you up to exactly?” The detective tilted his head and shrugged, hands still on his hips. "I was just about to get a bite to eat. You know, substance before I die of starvation and such." He replied nonchalantly. The man’s gaze narrowed before his head nodded. He turned and started walking. ”Mm…good. I think I’ll join you.”
Faraday’s eyebrow was raised in surprise but there didn’t seem to be any arguing the issue so with a shrug, he fell into step next to the man. They walked for a little bit in silence, Lyndon finally breaking it with a question.
”So how goes the trainer life? You finding it to your liking?” Faraday gave a low chuckle, giving Lyndon a bit of a ‘you seriously don’t care do you?’ kind of look. The blonde’s expression stayed set in its ambiguous state. "It’s alright." Was the detective’s response. His tone pretty much suggested that he didn’t think much of the cover; he was pretending to be a trainer and well, that was that. It wasn’t the most exciting of choices after all but, it worked all the same. Lyndon’s expression seemed to harden.
”How many badges?” He inquired. Faraday gave a dull look, though there was a hint of confusion in it as well. Was this some kind of check up on his progress? "Just two."
”Really? Only two?” Now that tone. That tone was one of displeasure and Faraday could sense it. His own mouth formed into a frown, hands slipping into his pockets as they walked along. "Yeah, only two." He remarked back curtly. ”That’s pretty piss poor. Even for you.” Was Lyndon’s reply. The detective was caught off guard by that remark. Seriously? "Last I checked, me gathering badges wasn’t the most important thing for me to be doing." It was a cover after all. There were plenty of trainers running around with no badges to their name and no one ever seemed to question it.
”Doesn’t matter. You should really be trying harder,” was the response he received. Faraday clamped his mouth shut at that as his gaze narrowed in agitation. Whatever the real problem was, he couldn’t read Lyndon right now to figure it out. And it didn’t seem he’d be getting any answers at the moment. So instead, he shut his mouth and glanced back at his pokemon to make sure they were still following along. Dresden seemed to be facing his own agitations with trying to get the Zorua in line. The fox seemed more interested in checking out whatever reading material was about. Well, at least it seemed interested in learning. Or something.
