 People are going all out with their fireworks right now - big, small, sparklers, and all of the in-between. Definitely fascinating to watch, and a bit scary when the people across the road as using the ones that randomly decided which direction they're going. I've seen some of the shooting lights hit the garage door and a few of the guys who have been setting the fireworks off for the group gathering. I think I've gotten some good photos from the various firework shows around the place.
Ninja seems to be not bothered by the whole thing, though she seems to be hanging out by the gate at Melissa's bedroom entryway rather than her bed - but other than that, she seems perfectly fine. She lets me pet her and everything.
Minnie, on the other hand, is cowering underneath the chair in the corner right now. She had been under the couch. Though she doesn't seem to be too scared, since whenever I go to look out the back door or check on Ninja, Minnie right by my side usually.

 Anyway, I'm going to try completing the last Star Battle game as Peach - hopefully... and keep checking on the pets every so often. I don't think I'm going to get any sleep tonight if people keep setting fireworks off into the early hours of morning. Probably going to stay up until Melissa gets home or something... assuming I can stay up that late.

 Good morning everyone. Thanks to people being finished with their fireworks by midnight, I was able to go to bed and both Minnie and I slept just fine. I turned the music channel to a Party Favorites which would have more music periods to cover any stray firework booms that may have occurred over the night, since I knew my Soundscapes channel has some quiet songs and periods of silence occasionally. Minnie did really well at going to sleep. She even cuddled with me a few times. So sweet!

In fact, Minnie's been hanging out by my side quite a bit lately. She's currently chewing on her rawhide (?) next to me, looking all happily content.

There was an emergency alarm test on the TV earlier and it instantly caught Minnie's attention when it did it's beeping sound. She kept tilting her head and settled right down as if she knew it was important, lol.

Oh! And I managed to beat Bowzer and win the star road for Peach. Took me awhile to beat Bowzer - certainly a workout waving your arm around to get enough energy to attack.

 Not sure what we're going to do today. Melissa has the day off from work, so... *shrugs*
Probably will have my leftover barbecue chicken for my lunch today, since I'm not in the mood for a turkey sandwich or a frozen.

 This form of eucalyptus tree grows in the Maui rainforest where the bark peels back to reveal a gorgeous range of colors.
These are beautiful to see in person. Definitely something magical about seeing a tree with rainbow colors on its trunk.

Whoo... just came back inside from playing with Minnie splashing water around from her pool... and then having to chase her around when she got a hold of the towel I was using to dry her off. *laughs* But she sure is happy now. Love seeing her smile when she's running around chasing the water drops.
Now to eat some lunch.
