Yes, but the Earth moves, so different parts of the planet move into the high tide zone and the entire tide revolves around the sun with the Earth. Just because it's relatively different than it appears to a human who doesn't understand large-scale physics doesn't mean the tide isn't changing.
now, this video has some of the best optical illusion effects I've ever seen lol

This video seems so poetic in a lot of ways. The way the singer looks like they are resigning themselves to the fact that they are going back to the person who broke their heart even though they are reminiscing about all the times their heart has been broken by the same person so many times before. They are trying to convince themselves that they are strong enough "this time", giving me a clue that they have already made up their minds to go through it all again.
When I first heard it and didn't hear all the lyrics I thought it was about trying again with a different person, but that's also more logical after I listened to it more closely. it's hard to let go of someone you really cared about when even people who have been hurtful are rarely completely bad, they have those good qualities too, and the desire to go back to a time when you felt happier which was often with the same person who caused all that pain (and I should write a book about it lol)

That is so unfortunately relatable to so many people. I've tried reiterating to myself and others that an ex is an ex for a reason. Good luck telling that to a heart attached to a brain which does not always rely on logic. The happy memories sustain the sense of happiness when you're the kind of person to focus on the positives. I've definitely written a few songs about it. I've only just recently, at the age of 51, finally found a person who gave me a reason to write a love song. They came to me from an unlikely source and I didn't think I was going to fall in love, but here I am.....FINALLY!
and ofc because I don't have a boyfriend yet (just guys being like nuuu u too annoying and like three entire guy friends) I make a ton of OCs and ship them instead lmao.
