Nowe gave an odd look towards Kikou, "Um...thanks." He said, "You to." Is he really that nervous? Hope I don't over do it. Nowe thought, starting his handsigns. "Grand Fireball Jutsu" He took in a deep breathe, and breathed out a tremendous fireball that flew straight for his oppenet.

((Sorry if you guys think I am posting too much since I am not yet major in the story, but I am going on a trip tomorrow, so I have to get it all out of my system)).
Ulrich winced as he saw one of the fights begin with a bang, fire and mud colliding and splattering all over. Immediately after the attack, one of the fighters pulled out a metal ball on a chain and swung it with all his might.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Good luck!" Kirinata called to Nowe and Zane before disappearing to her own arena. She bounced lightly on her toes, waiting for her opponent. She wondered who she was facing. Her thoughts skipped from one competitor to another. She knew it wasn't one of her teammates and for that she was glad. She didn't want to have to seriously fight them. Nowe's training was something else. The girl's gray eyes had a dreamy look to them as her thoughts wandered. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Zane waited patiently for his opponent. The whole time he was making sure he was prepared, that he remembered everything he needed to for this fight, there was no telling what could happen or who he was fighting, he just knew he wasn't fighting Kiri, a bit of a letdown but Zane figured it was for the best, he didn't want to be shooting fireballs at her when she had just given him such a nice gift.

Standing in the middle of the fighting area where her match was to be held Kohane gave a small sigh as she tapped her foot on the ground. Looking to Zane Kohane reached behind her as she pulled out two tonfa a weapon she had been practicing with since her last match. "Right then" she muttered to herself psyching herself up for the fight.

Ulrich's eyes drifted over to one of the other fights. Tonfa... not your usual weapon... he thought, wondering how her opponent would look after the girl was finished. Of course, that was assuming she would win... He sighed heavily. It was all so boring and pointless! So stupid! And so many young genin went to these exams every year and gave it their absolute best, only to be crushed by the reality that they weren't, and could maybe never be, good enough. Every year there were a couple of genin who participated who were about ready to give up, having done the exams over and over to no avail.
"So utterly stupid..." he whispered, "So pointless and stupid..." He looked up at the afternoon sky, and wondered if the clouds peacefully drifting by were aware of the bloodshed beginning below.

Nowe narrowly dodged the oncoming weapon, dodging to the left. "wow...that would have really hurt. Can't say I've seen one of those before." He said, drawing his katana. He ran forward, splitting into three as he summoned two shadow clones.

(Sorry. Didn't mean to disappear. my parents grounded me for the weekend.)
Tayu entered her arena, and an array of emotions chased each other across her face. She was glad to see a familiar face, but she was nervous because she knew she would have a hard time against her opponent, and she really didn't like fighting her friends. "Hey, Kiri-chan," she greeted the other leaf genin.

"Interesting weapon choice, lets both do our best." Zane said confidently. He pulled out his swords, having made a switch to chain blades for both reach and a new technique he had come up with. "I'll make the first move if you don't mind." Zane said and twirled the right one in a circle in the air before sending it straight at Kohane, if one were to look carefully they would see the edges of the blades were glowing.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Kirinata flashed her a smile. "Hey Tayu." She said, bringing herself back to the present rather than dreaming. While she was relieved not to be fighting her teammates, another leaf-nin wasn't much better. This was going to be a hard fight. "I'm sorry Tayu." She said in apology, then whipped out her fans. "Wind Scythe!" The sliding winds wrapped around the other genin. It was Kirinata's favorite opening move, a good move to test the waters with. The tiger that should be....isn't....
