Good evening everyone.
My first week of school went well. I know I'm going to be enjoying my Creative Writing: Prose class and my Film class, probably because I'm already familiar with both class structures and have had the professors before. I'm still waiting to see how I feel about my Twentieth Century Novel class. Based on all of the Sci-Fi books we'll be reading, I know I'll be happy about that. But with the professor being a Technical Writing professor and what not, I'm not sure whether I'll enjoy the writing assignments or not. *shrugs* Guess I'll see once we have a couple more classes. Of course with Monday being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we won't have class again until the 23.

It's currently snowing right now.
It's just weird... and wrong... when it starts snowing first at my grandparents' place (who live at sea level) before it snows where we are (we live in the mountains at about 1500 feet). It's rare for my grandparents to get snow... and when they do get snow, we usually already have inches to feet of snow ourselves. *shrugs*
Either way seeing it snow is cool. I wonder how much we'll end up getting. It won't stick around for very long though, just for the weekend. Apparently it'll start warming up again by Tuesday.

I finished watching Season 2 of Angel. I'm still enjoying the show. And I've determined my favorite character from the Angel-verse ~ Lorne, the demon who runs the Caristas bar. :D I just love his humor and his enthusiasm about everything that he enjoys.

Anyway... I'm getting behind on my Ellen episodes. So I'm spending tonight working on watching some of them. Not sure how many I'll go through before I decide to head to bed. However, I'll probably occasionally post here when I feel like it.

It's amazing to think how much Dakota Fanning has grown up. Ellen has Dakota's sister Elle on her show on the episode I'm watching and Elle mentioned that Dakota is attending an university. Amazing to see young stars grow up.

2. What will you read next? Whatever is next on my shelf (personal; going through my books to see which ones I actually want)... and whatever is next on our schedule to read (school).
3. What was your favorite childhood book? Um... Flutterby.

7. Do you have a bad book habit? No.
8. Do you read one book at a time, or several? Usually I just do one book at a time, but with school, that's hard to do.
9. What is your favorite book you’ve read this year? This year has started. I have plenty of time for me to determine what it'll be.

10. What is your least favorite book you’ve read this year? Again the year's just started, so to be determined.
11. What is your reading comfort zone? Fantasy/Science Fiction.
12. How often do you read outside of your comfort zone? I've been reading more books outside of my usual reading zone the past few years than I used to. Most of them are for school, so I'm sort of forced to read them. cat_whee

13. What is your favorite place to read? In a quiet, comfortable spot. Right now that would be the loveseat (a.k.a. "my couch") in our living room... at least when no one else is in the room.
14. Do you lend out books? No.
15. Do you dog-ear books? No.

17. What makes you love a book? A good plot with a variety of characters you can connect with. Well written. Story moves along at a good pace that isn't completely predictable.
18. What will inspire you to recommend a book? If I really enjoyed it and can think of other people that would like it.

19. What is the one book you will always recommend to everyone? The Harry Potter series... and the Sherlock Holmes series.
20. Is there a book you love that nobody else seems to? I wouldn't say that I "love" it, but I did enjoy it - the Twilight series. Now I know it's not the best written series out there... but I did like the different perspective on the vampire and werewolf myths/folklore... and that it took place near where I live.
21. Do you read while you are: Eating? Taking a bath? Watching TV? Listening to music? On the computer? On the bus? No. Definitely not. I try not to... but sometimes my family members are watching TV, so I don't have much control over the TV going while I'm trying to read. Sometimes, yes. Well, obviously - otherwise I wouldn't be able to answer this question, lol. I didn't usually read while I was on the bus.

22. What is your favorite genre to read? Fantasy/Science Fiction.
23. What genre do you rarely read, but wish you read more of? Although I like the Science Fiction genre, I haven't read that much Sci-Fi novels. Hopefully with my Twentieth Century Novel class I'll be able to change that... even though I've already read about half of the books for the class before. xd
24. What is your favorite biography? Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's.
