Aile looked over at Darts, raising an eyebrow. The coin that had come out was an interesting looking one… and then the Gimmighoul came out. She never actually saw it in Kitakami, as she arrived after all of the festivities had gotten fully underway, so this guy was new to her. It certainly seemed a bit smaller to her than Poggle, though, its focus was in question to the woman. Once the coin rolled onto the warp panel, Aile raised her eyebrows, with the little greedy ghost Pokémon activating the warp panel. Once it returned, she sighed, then listened as Darts explained what he saw. “A closet… Hm. Now- Hey!” Her gaze would settle on the pint sized girl, leering as she regained her balance. "Lefty? Really? I'll show you my left..." Leslie would certainly feel the woman's left hand, a hard, solid smack from the animated prosthetic to the back of the Tink hybrid's head, before shaking her own. She looked around at everyone else and sighed, finally putting her thin socks and shoes back on. “Fine. Kaas, return for now. I’ve got a feeling you’ll be back out later.” Upon recalling the large bear, Aile would take a breath and step onto the pad herself. She’d rather have Kayvaan by her side as well, but it would probably take too much time to get him back at the moment. So, her partner this time would have to be Poggle. Still, not the worst of partners. She could just only have her big beaters.

"So SWIPE mentioned, corroborated by the recording of your own testimony." Cruxias acknowledges, not even flinching slightly as Monique talks about the world that she came from. "A faller, I believe was the term he used. Very poetic. L'orgueil précède la chute." He ambles towards the middle of the court room casually, not taking his bright blue eyes off of the Zoroark hybrid as he does so, seemingly keeping her in his gaze like he was afraid she might illusorily slip away in the moment. "So then, Miss Ka'ana'ana, one might conjecture, given that you gave me a specific year that sets your duration with the team, the invisible message you are attempting to give to the courtroom here is that you were uninvolved with the events and thus the charges facing Snagem prior to 2021. Would you say that is the case?"
"I was not here to see Ein make his mess. But I am more than aware of the mess he made, and I am here to help Snagem clean it up." She looked around the room and back at the children in their collars. "Ein produced so much technology that... Ruined my world! Energy converters that unknown to us all spewed harmful gas. Technology that led to overbuilding. By the time I came around, only one Alolan island was livable and that's because they put a big dome on it to protect it. I never knew my dad because he died building it. And when Ultra Beasts came and shattered the Dome... It was over for us, and I wound up here." A pause. "The moment I first met SWIPE and they had collars... Cipher collars... I could not trust them. Every time I see one, I see signs of a future I want to stop. Or else everything you know will go up in toxic smog. Tapu willing, you won't have to know that pain." She gestured at the room, her hands raised.
Satisfied, she let out a bit of a huff, a dead stare at Cruxias. "If you think I'd work with anyone who inflicted Cipher upon the world... Then you don't know what I've gone through or why I'm here. The portrait you paint doesn't match the Sub I know. It doesn't match the Snagem I know."
I facepalmed as Deo left the stand. I knew from my time in Paldea that the man was emotionally unstable, but lying to the court - even unintentionally - did NOT make this any easier for the rest of us. Then there was that business with the radio. Made me wonder if Absinthe was right to call him a pig. I couldn't help but glance at Chaos as I thought that, but the man was stone-faced. He wasn't even taking any enjoyment from watching Deo squirm. Either Absinthe was right and he'd gotten soft over the years, or something else was going on. It didn't help that I couldn't get a bead on this emotional state. Between Rala being in her ball, said ball not being in my personal space, and the absolutely stifling amount of teleport scramblers static-ing up the place, the only thing I COULD sense psychically was Rala. At least I knew exactly where she was, now.
Sub and Reno made it abundantly clear that the prosecution was at fault for setting Deo off, so I chose not to contemplate the matter further. Then Monique was called up. What was Cruxias's plan, here? Did Blizz's honestly stunning display leave him so far on the back foot that he had to attack the newest members of the team? And for what, to feel better about himself? ...eh, probably not that last one,. He seemed to take pity on Deo after the hybrid's display. As I tried to figure out what the prosecutor thought he was doing, I glanced over at Keiko and noticed that Yuna was looking at her. Keiko had curled up into a ball on her seat, and her head was laid on her knees, but give the angle, she was looking back at Yuna. Yuna had a tired smile on her face, and I got the feeling those two were communicating non-verbally somehow. Mabye it was instinct - Keiko was better at listening to that than I was, either due to her being a hybrid or due to me focusing on Psychic Channeling. Maybe a bit of both. As I watched them, I heard Serena's voice. How she slept through Libelle's crying was anybody's guess, but she was waking up now. She didn't seem very happy, either - and that estimation didn't come from emotion sensing. Serena was a far quieter child compared to Yuna. If she needed something, you had about two seconds to hear her. After that, she'd clam up. After Yuna, that took some serious getting used to, and that was the ONLY reason I had any inkling of what she was feeling. She wasn't acting normally, though - she was fidgeting a lot, she was making little sounds of discomfort with her voice, and her ears were curling and uncurling back and forth like crazy. She was even trying to stretch out her arms to cover them with her hands, but her arms weren't long enough for that. It was clear as day to me that she didn't enjoy listening to Libelle. To be honest, I couldn't blame her. I doubt anybody in the room liked hearing that.
I turned my gaze away from my children, but before I could put my focus back on the case, I overheard something Monique said. Cipher collars. My gaze turned back to Yuna, and the collar around her neck, and I immediately felt an anger that overwhelmed my esper ability. I had trouble containing it - Ein's work was around my little girl's neck, and I felt an urge to kill I hadn't felt since I came face to face iwth Lovrina the day Keiko was hybridized. My head was spinning -did SWIPE loot that tech from Realgam Tower or did they get it from the source? Maybe that was the explanation to all this. SWIPE were blaming us for working with Cipher to hide their own involvement with them. Maybe... no. I forced myself to calm down. It took some time, but eventually I was able to swallow that anger and replace it with the numbness I'd been using to conceal my emotions this whole time. I had to focus on the case, now more than ever. I already learned one crucial detail about what was going on, and if Cruxias was taking Reno's objection over relevance seriously, even more important information would come out soon.
~*~
Absinthe stayed close to the group, but she wasn't paying attention to them or what they were talking about. The only thing she could think about right now was the fact that her father was in that courtroom. She was regretting coming out here at all, now. If she had just gone to the stupid case, she could have gotten some answers out of the old man, figured out what happened. Now, she was stuck out here doing whatever the rest of the people here were doing. "Dammit, focus," she growled under her breath. She couldn't do anything for Chaos out here. She had no idea what the plan out here even was, and moping bout what-ifs wasn't going to fix anything. She had to pay closer attention.

"Curious." Cruxias says, the word hanging in the courtroom air like a drop of honeyed sweet poison as he strolls across the room, over towards the projector from earlier. "Again, you claim to have never done anything with Ein, that you've come back to save the world from this désastre inévitable that you claim is coming for us. However, I wonder." He raises a USB drive, theatrically, and inserts it into the projector, the signal for the lights in the courtroom to come down low again.
"Let us take into account what we have heard, and what we know. We have heard, from several of these Snagem members, Monique here chief among them, that they have had absolutely nothing to do with Ein and with Team Cipher or any of the atrocities that now stain their own rap sheet. All of them seem incredibly sure of that fact, avec certitude. Proving they were lying might be impossible. But what if they were unwitting pawns in two men's sick chess game? What if they aren't lying but are misled instead?" There's murmurs from the gallery and from the jury as Cruxias puts forth this little bit of information, floating an idea that hadn't come up before now.
"If we draw the conclusion that Ein and the leader of Team Snagem, Sub," He gestures to Sub sitting behind the defense table. "Have been strange bedfellows this whole time but neither of their individual operatives knew, how would that be the case? They would need a go-between. Someone to move between the teams to carry messages untraceably by technological means, in the event one of them were taken out, and someone who wouldn't be noticed going in and out of those places as well. Someone, maybe, who could changement de forme, shapeshift into other people. That could ALSO explain how no one has heard of this individual until 2021. It's very hard to nail down the identity of someone who can take another's face. I present to you, ladies and gentlemen of the court, the Shadowchild project."
Click.
The projector moves over to show a series of research notes talking about project Shadowchild, from Ein working on some kind of a project to undermine and sow doubt into world governments. Infiltrate any organization, replace the head of any dissenting program, and serve as an unquestionably loyal soldier for any clandestine operations and needs Ein might have.
Click.
The next slide shows a video, without sound, of Ein speaking to and dictating some kind of order to a Zoroark hybrid that looked functionally identical and indistinguishable from Monique. Once she finished taking down the orders from her handler, there's a dark swirl as she transformed herself into the spitting image of Amaranth, before leaving the room.
Click.
There's another video, this one with sound, showing Sub in his office with Monique, as he pens some kind of missive to somebody. He seals it in an envelope. "Remember now." Sub's voice booms out of the courtroom speakers. "No one is to know except for him. We'll take care of the Shadow Pokemon, Ein just needs to play his part understand?"
"Yes, of course." Monique's voice comes through the speakers as well as she takes the envelope and stashes it into a cloak pocket, another whirl of darkness disguising her as Darts before she left the room.
Click.
The lights come up as Cruxias stares Monique down in the witness stand. "Well? Do you have any amendments you'd like to add to your testimony?" There's a brief patch of silence before the courtroom erupts in yelling - people in the gallery, people in the jury, probably the Snagems themselves. Jenny's thwacking of the gavel does little to silence the uproar at the evidence that has just been unveiled.
"Order! Order! Everyone, calm yourselves we must have order!" She shouts, to little avail over the din and chaos. People are yelling to one another, to themselves, at the Snagems, at Monique and Cruxias. It's pure bedlam, and Surge is having to toss several of the gallery patrons back behind the divider between the courtroom and the rest of the room as they attempt to clamber into the court. SWIPE agents file in as well, trying to keep the peace.
Sub could do little but sit there in stunned silence as he watched Cruxias' little production, and that is what it was, a production, a complete work of fiction. He didn't know how he did it, if he hired look a likes or specially trained Ditto or something to act all this out, but it didn't really matter as this was all a deceitful creation. If he wasn't sure before that this entire court case was a hit job he was now, and Cruxias was the maestro of this orchestra or lies. Did prosecutor Cruxias think to use all this as a way to elevate his own name, the man that brought down the fallen heroes, or never-were heroes, of Team Snagem? Or was there more reasons than that? He had to wonder, Cruxias appeared to take joy in his attacks on the team which consistently crossed into almost personal territory with a notable fixation on Sub himself. But this? This was beyond anything before, this was a vicious attack right at the heart of Team Snagem and Sub himself, one that he could not stand for.
"Objection your honor!" Sub shouted as he jumped to his feet, holding himself up by pressing his hands against the table. He actually needed to steady himself for he was so angry, blood pressure so high, that he was liable to pop a blood vessel if he attempted to stand up straight. "The evidence prosecutor Cruxias has submitted is completely fabricated!" He said, pointing an accusing finger at the prosecutor. He couldn't help it, emotions were high, especially when outright slander was being presented as indisputable fact. "I can prove it too, your honor, if you would allow me." With that Sub reached into his vest and conjured up a USB stick of his own and held it up.
"Far har har!" A laughing quack-like sound rung out as Sub dramatically held up the USB stick, the Snagem leader looking around frantically in that moment as his eyes went wide, recognizing that sound. Looking back towards the gallery he spotted him, that cursed duck sporting a black mask; El Pato. Sub would stare at the duck for awhile, his left eye twitching, forgetting for a moment where he was and what he was doing. He'd break eye contact with the duck as it waved at him, turning around to see if anyone else saw the duck. Noting that no one else was reacting to the Farfetch'd suddenly in the room he'd turn back to the gallery to see El Pato was gone. Rubbing his eyes he dismissed it as stress and turned back to the matter at hand.
"I have with me here the personal files of Ein, files he never intended for anyone else to see which include not only all data he had on Team Snagem, which the court will find Monique to be absent from, but also his personal diary which goes into excruciating detail on Ein's hatred for myself and the team at large. Everything that will directly contradict what prosecutor Cruxias is attempting to portray with his fabricated evidence." He said, shooting the man a glare.

Monique was appalled by what Cruxias wheeled out as video. Her face, had a camera been trained on it, would have been one showing not an armor being pierced but puzzlement at seeing it.
That wasn't her. Ein? Talking to her? What was this, bad fan fiction? It'd be like introducing some dead dude from the 1970s and saying they'd met! It did, if nothing else, remind her that she had crossed paths with two Zoroark hybrids while in Paldea. That fact was sticking somewhere in her hair.
"Well? Do you have any amendments you'd like to add to your testimony?"
She wanted to speak so badly, like a cauldron trembling to the brim with hot liquid and ready to spill at the slightest touch, but Cruxias had managed to whip the courtroom into a bloodthirsty frenzy that erupted in short order, as if on cue, hurling verbal knives from every direction. "Go ******** yourself, Shadowchild!" "Shifty b***h!" "Cipher's daughter!" that it took time for the room to die down. She heard the insults. And when that happened, Sub interjected by introducing the Ein files.
Another deep breath. "The files Sub has on him will prove my innocence, but I have some words for the court, Your Honor. The court is aware, and SWIPE is aware, of where I came from. Need I remind you that my birthday is March 23, 2046?" She said the year slowly, letting it roll off the tongue like molasses for the audience to savor. "Ein was long gone in my world when I turned up here, and Ein was already gone here. And before my world was destroyed... I was a human. I could show you what I looked like, and I will, even if it would make no difference. I was not born or bred to be a Zoroark hybrid. It was something I did not choose."
A pause as she shifted to her human Illusion, just once, before rippling out of it.
"The problem with Cruxias's evidence is that there could be someone out there impersonating me, or even impersonating Ein. It is curious to me because I know of two Zoroark hybrids that—given the place I met them—might well be involved in that," she explained, gesturing toward the screen. "Last I saw them, they were working for an organization in Paldea known as Team Star. They were twins but one had shiny fur."
"And I'd like to remind the court of something. I despise Ein and what his legacy did to wreck my world—not to mention those collars. If Cruxias believes this is somehow consistent with my beliefs and actions in the last four years, he is breathing the Smog." Her eyes made one last scan of the room, a thought that she especially might need security after the trial floating into her brain, lingering on a scowl at Cruxias. "With that, Your Honor, I have nothing further to say."
As Monique was escorted back to her chair, she found herself praying quietly to Tapu Fini. She Who Floods the World, cleanse this courtroom, cleanse this filthy place... She was more emotionally exhausted than she'd ever been, her hand rubbing her tired face.
There wouldn't be a reaction from one chair of the defense team, Reno simply watching the footage and other evidence that the prosecution was presenting and taking in as much detail as he could. There was undeniably footage of what they wished to portray and a project that had a concept close enough to work for linking it to Ein. What could be used to poke holes in that portrayal to force either more evidence or some attempt to respond? Sub was already leading off with an easy one, their entire collection of Ein's personal diary declaring them all a pack of window-licking Mankeys who could barely knock rocks together, let alone work alongside him. So he could.....bring up exactly what it was Monique had beat him to the punch on mentioning. He had another reason for wanting to bring up the Aku Twins, which was Mister Mushroom and his sudden intrusion to try and force their next destination. After all, why bait the hook like that unless you had helped set the stage for making that outcome likely?
.....and how else could he attempt to rig the results in such a manner?
Looking towards his Wynaut, still sitting on the table and watching the proceedings, Reno decided that now was a time to chance a small active probe. Letting his telepathy pick out the minds and bodies around, he would immediately identify a few blank areas where Sub, Monique, and the collection of collared hostages were. Those were all expected and absolutely unsurprising. He just needed to see if he could find a pair of blank spots that he couldn't as easily explain away. And if he did and he couldn't get a better explanation with a better visual examination, he would need to plan from there. After all, there was no guarantee on this panning out but they needed to take big swings after that little video display.
Also, why had the Ein video been muted? Couldn't figure out how to replicate the voice?

There was concern and confusion on Crystal’s face as the scenes played out on the projector. None of this made any sense, she smelled of Ultra Space like any other faller. And the way she spoke of her previous reality, it honestly felt like Monique wouldn’t have been a part of any of this. But here she was, being accused of being the go between of all things. This made no sense at all to her. Unless…. No, no, she was confident she had made it home after talking to the team, and looking up the history of the reality. Everything slid neatly into the remnants of her own memories. But what had been shown to them recently… Did she miss things? Was it possible that she didn’t fail in bringing people back to the right reality, but she was mistaken about herself? There were still holes in her memories, not nearly as large as they once were, but they existed. It could be where those holes were in her memory that the differences were. Convenient. Light burn her, what was going on? For the first time in quite a long time, the idea of multiple realities was making her head swim, though not in the way that it used to. She didn’t feel like she made a mistake, but she wasn’t some all knowing deity. She was once human like some of the others on the team had been, and she could make mistakes like anyone else. Like she already had been. …It certainly wasn’t out of the question.
—- Aile would find herself in that same closet Darts’ Gimmighoul appeared in to retrieve its coin after stepping onto the warp panel, the woman frowning. After giving her eyes a brief moment to readjust to the even greater lack of light, she’d take a breath and focus on the ground around her, trying to get an idea with her tremor sense of what might have been around, if anyone was in the room in front of them, along with putting her ear next to the door. If she didn’t sense or hear anything in the room, her next step was to slowly open the door and poke her head out just enough to look around. Where on earth did this lead to?

Time is a fickle thing. Multiple things can occur within its bound simultaneously, giving it a multifaceted-ness that doesn’t exist in any other medium.
Reno Vantas
Looking towards his Wynaut, still sitting on the table and watching the proceedings, Reno decided that now was a time to chance a small active probe. Letting his telepathy pick out the minds and bodies around, he would immediately identify a few blank areas where Sub, Monique, and the collection of collared hostages were. Those were all expected and absolutely unsurprising. He just needed to see if he could find a pair of blank spots that he couldn't as easily explain away. Reno’s scan of the courtroom would find an unseen individual. But it wasn’t a pair of blank spots. It was one singular blank spot. In the near-empty prosecution side, behind the prisoners SWIPE had brought in from the HQ raid, there was a singular individual mind. As he touched and engaged with it, Reno would realize this person was just barely holding themselves in check. They salivated, hungered, desired more than anything else to rip this courtroom asunder and devour everyone inside of it, starting with the children sitting right in front of it.
But, mentally, it had a leash on itself too. Its canine-esque desire to tear the throats of the weak was being held in check by someone else inside the building. The longer the psychic exchange went, the more Reno would realize that there was a familiar otherworldly fuzziness to the mental energies from this person. For all the panting and slobbering it was doing unconsciously, this individual was from another world in the same way Dull originally had been. For a brief moment, the probe goes inward and the Co-Leader would get a visual flash of a crazed Houndoom hybrid, tongue lolling out and one singular word: Dark.

Cruxias shrugs at Monique’s words, his prosecutor’s badge with three spheres, a triangle, and parenthetical symbols around it jangling as he does so. “Les preuves sont les preuves.” He says simply, addressing her. “The video is very clear, that is what happened in some way shape or form.” The prosecutor pauses as Sub steps up, that odd glint in his eye appearing again as he stands face-to-face with Snagem’s Leader. “Oh by all means,” He allows, pointing towards Sub and the drive with his cane. “Present for the court.”

Like she already had been. …It certainly wasn’t out of the question.
There is one person and one person alone who sees what happens moments before Sub can move up and insert the flash drive into the projector. Crystal’s ears might even perk up a little bit at the rush of extraspacial energy she would notice in the instant before that device is plugged in. A subtle pinkish-purple hue spreads from the top of the prosecutor’s cane and onto the electronics in Sub’s hands. This is something the Solgaleo hybrid has tasted before, in the birthing of new worlds. Reality itself was reshaping, molding in upon itself and creating a new truth right before her very eyes. Time, the fickle thing it is however, does not give her enough of it to warn anybody before the evidence is up on the screen.
The bombshell evidence, thought to clear their names and present Ein’s hatred to the world is, predictably, now nothing anywhere near that. The drive is filled to the brim with files and videos and pictures that painted a scene of Cipher and Snagem working together from the very beginning, Monique featuring chiefly among the files at the intermediary between the two running clandestine and communicational operations that were considered ‘too sensitive’ for electronic or written means. There is no room for falsification or Aku twin trickery, the metadata could not be more explicit that this was Monique, Sub, and Ein, working together to try and bring about a new world order with their two teams on top of it. It was almost as if by not being in this world it made it much easier, if someone had the power to, fabricate a past or manipulate that individual’s supposed actions.
“Was this the great evidence that was supposed to show your innocence?” Cruxias asks, not crowing his victory, but with seemingly genuine concern in his eyes as he addresses the court. “This has done nothing but proven what I have been saying all along – that Team Snagem, their individual members, may have thought they were on a path to try and save the world but because of the actions of that man,” He indicates Sub here, pointing his cane again. “He misled and pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes, un loup déguisé en agneau. And now he’s led the rest of the flock here to take the fall right alongside him. Is that fair? I ask you, the jury?” Cruxias implores them with a twist of his hand. “Is that fair, I ask you, the rest of you?” He looks to the gallery – but not just at the other random people assembled, even Team Snagem he seems to be beseeching them to rise up and cast aside their loyalties and their ties to Sub in the moment. “You can see now, the measure of what kind of man he is-”
Cruxias is cut off, but not by a noise that can be heard. Rather, it’s felt. The passage of time that heralds the entropic end of all things as energy burns out of their system. Each person in the courtroom could paradoxically feel the sound well before anything happened. It was a very primal ripple that spread, a herald of things to come that temporally shook the floorboards of Viridian City gym. As the wave passed through everyone, a couple of things would change for a fleeting infinitesimal instant.
Cruxias’ suit and cane would be no more, replaced in that instant by what appeared to be a crenelated-looking suit of white armor, covered in undulating Unown symbols, with a familiar looking triangular symbol and Arceus-parentheticals carven in gold in the chest. Rather than his cane a massive white carven staff, made up of a flowing stream of Dragon-Pokemon was clutched in his hand. A glowing pink orb sat cradled in the jaws of the topmost, pulsing with that same light Crystal had managed to see earlier.
The individual Reno was probing in that same moment would all of a sudden come to light for the briefest of instants. A massive Houndoom hybrid seated in one of the empty rows of the gallery, his tongue lolling out. Sol would surely recognize his darker half from worse days, Dark. Neither he nor Cruxias seem too concerned by what’s about to happen in this moment, though maybe they just didn’t have time to react appropriately. This was but an instant of an instant after all.
Finally, the screen showing the evidence would flicker and jitter and for a briefest of instants it would show the evidence all of Snagem had seen and reviewed together in the leadup to their trial, showing the derision and scorn of Ein, before an explosion goes off in the middle of the courtroom and all three oddities go back to their previous version of a few seconds prior.
Another sound unlike anything any of the Snagems, assembled Gym Leaders, watchers, or even viewers at home had probably heard rings through the courtroom and a massive azure-blue pulse of energy cuts through and explodes outward in a ring, mercifully slower than the warning sound beforehand, giving them all an instant to react as it smashes apart the courtroom erected in the middle of the gym, shearing straight through everything in the room at about chest height as the Roar of Time echoes through eternity in the middle of all of them, throwing the proceedings into chaos and immediately putting every single person in the courtroom into the line of fire. The team was going to have to act immediately to try and stop everyone in the room from becoming casualties to this massive attack.
Regardless of how each Snagem reacted in the moments they had following the Roar, the source would be impossible to ignore. A Dialga, its sauropod legs crunching the tiles beneath its feet smashed its way through the too-small Gym door, wisps of smoke floating up from its open jaws as it recharges from the use of its massive roar. A much smaller figure walks next to its front leg, spiky bright blue hair above a grey uniform with a bright yellow ‘G’ emblazoned on the chest. “Snagem!” Cyrus hails them, his face expressionless as always as he looks on the carnage he’s just caused. “You looked like you were in a bit of a tight spot.”

Sub would stop mid step as he approached the projector, looking back at Cruxias and scoffing at his apparent indifference to Sub's evidence. He loathed how cocky this prosecutor was and he couldn't wait to rub his smug face in what he was about to show the court. Once he proved their innocence with the evidence they extracted from Realgam Fortress and get out of this place he was going to personally track down Cruxias himself and shove that stupid cane of his straight up where the sun don't shine. Rolling his eyes and turning his attention back to the projector Sub approached and inserted his own USB stick with confidence, ready to show the court the truth and nothing but-...the...truth?
"W-what...?" Was all Sub could get out as he watched as the documents and other data contained in the USB stick were displayed from the projector. This wasn't the data they obtained, at least not what it originally looked like. Monique was never in Ein's files, there was no documentation of Cipher and Snagem working together as there is now, and where were Ein's journal entries declaring his unbriddled hate for Sub and Snagem? It was all gone or changed, but how? They kept a close guard on the data after obtaining it, made certain it was untouched SWIPE before they even downloaded it themselves, in fact it came from a location that SWIPE had yet to reach. What in Arceus' name was going on here? How did they change it?
After staring at the projection with his mouth agape for several seconds his eyes would drift to prosecutor Cruxias as he lambasted the Snagem leader and blamed everything on him, not only to the court but to his teammates himself. It was in that moment where things started to fall in place for Sub. This was not Looker's doing, not SWIPE's, not anyone else's, it was all-
That was when he felt it, the flow of time itself sounding out in a manner that was not heard but felt. Quickly Sub snapped out of his moment of shock induced confusion and quickly began to scan the area. Something wasn't right, in fact a lot wasn't right anymore but something was more immediately and threateningly wrong. He didn't know what but the Snagem leader had encountered enough powerful Pokemon to know how to sense the presence of one, it was a kind of pressure that bore down on you and engulfed the area, oppressive and present in every manner. Looking down at the vibrating floorboards he knew something bad was about to happen.
"Snagem! Protect the jury! Everyone get down!" Sub shouted as he took a running leap towards the lower witness stand to the side of the judge's bench, jumping on that so that he can reach and lunge at Jenny the First and take them both to the ground before the Roar of Time ripped through the gym. Sub would lay on top of Jenny the First to protect her as bits of debris fell. He'd remain like that for several seconds until he heard a voice call them out by name. "Your honor, please stay here." He implored the judge as he finally got up and walked out from behind the judge's bench to see what was going on, only to find the 'court room' cut in half horizontally, though the gym still standing. Looking towards the door his eyes went wide as he bore witness to the Temporal Pokemon itself, the subject of the ancient statue of Eterna City in the flesh, along with the leader of Team Galactic, Cyrus. He had heard the myth of the Embodiment of Time, who hadn't? Furthermore many have seen what the Pokemon was believed to look like, such as the ancient statue, but none got it completely right. Looking at this blue dragon now he knew in his heart this was it, there was no need to know what it looked like prior, its presence insisted on who it was. It was Dialga. "What have you done...?" Sub asked in an almost whispered voice as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Just outside the gym in Viridian City Amaranth and Rachel were just about to scope the gym out for a good spot to break in should the team need rescuing but before they could get too close they would see a bunch of SWIPE agents and police running towards the front door of the gym along with a bunch of clamoring. By what they could tell someone was trying to force their way in. Before they could get a good look at who or what was a Pokeball was opened up and a giant blue dragon burst forth followed by a roar that sounded out and vibrated their very souls, the dragon soon bursting into the front door of the gym, the windows blown out soon after. Their teammates are in there!
The gathered masses all screamed out as people were sent running, some flung by the resulting shock wave, complete pandemonium consuming the area around the gym and soon the city itself. What about the Snagems inside? Are they okay?

Aile would be shoved onto the warp panel and without delay contact with the panel would cause the Electric Gem generators to fire up as the gems gave off a bright yellow glow for a second or two before Aile's world would begin to spin around and around. Faster and faster did her world spin before everything would go black as Aile was warped away from Diglett's Tunnel.
The Ground Channeler would soon appear spinning once again on the other panel in the gym and slowly the spinning would begin to stop and she would be able to see clearly once more. The woman would find herself standing in what used to be a janitor's closet now cut in half horizontally at chest height and she could now get a good look at the entire gym with the makeshift courtroom sliced as well. People were on the ground evidentially avoiding what cut the place in half all except a certain blue-gray haired man and his giant dragon standing behind him.
Monique, still trying to get through her own feelings and trying to understand what on earth was going on with this court and this evidence, did not understand. The feelings that something had been tampered with, nagging at her in little ways, finally came home. There was some sort of feeling she could not quantify in that moment, but it had to just be the stress of—
Rooooooooooooar! A guttural vibration unlike any she had ever heard in her life erupted from everywhere, from nowhere, from the middle. She looked around. It seemed like people were flickering into other visages for just a moment. W... Was that a suit of armor!? Shaken, Monique had her head on a swivel.
"Snagem! Protect the jury! Everyone get down!"
Monique raced toward the nearest member of the box, her small frame sprawled over Marnie of Galar as a shield. She saw little of the blue glow, but she felt debris spray on her back and that white outfit of hers—and, hopefully, of Cruxias. She felt Marnie shake. Unmoving until—
"Snagem!" a voice she had not heard in her life called out. Monique rolled over to see that, racing away from a blue glow, the court had been cut in half by something, gashing the temporary walls inside the Viridian City Gym. And the something was obvious: a dragon three times her height, accompanied by a man with a spiky blue hairdo and a gray uniform. She had never seen either of them in her life, but all she could think of was her prayer to Tapu Fini. Was this an emissary for the tapu?
Monique's heart raced, trying to comprehend. Who? What? How? Why? What next?

This was how it ended, with Deo being hated. Something did not seem right though, Deo knew that the evidence was faked....was it? A rush of energy flooded over him when he saw for a brief second the southern prosecutor turn out to be a wizard of sorts. He had no time to react, Sub yelled for everyone to get down. Deo hit the dirt quickly and covered his head. His fur tingling as the attack happened. Then a voice hailing snagem called out. It was Cyrus, he knew this from the various media events he had to guard him at. Something seemed off, a flash of the past as he heard a voice in his tone say something illegible, but it seemed off. Hoping this was the end, Deo was on the floor hoping it was the end. He can not stand the wrath of SNAGEM after what he was exposed for.
Everything seemed to stop for a second when I saw the evidence Sub submitted to the court. There was no doubt now - the evidence was being tampered with in real time. Everything that deviated from the norm we knew wasn't a result of any tampering with Ultra Space like I once thought. They were all deliberate alterations designed to throw us off at best, or ruin our reputation at worst. To top it all off, the person responsible for that deliberate tampering of time was in this courtroom - within grasp. But there wasn't any way for me to know who that could be. Not that I had much time to contemplate that, though, as I heard Sub shout for us to protect the jury shortly after. I couldn't do that, though. I'd been waiting for the opportunity to reunite with my children, and I ~/~ sure wasn't going to let them die before then. I wouldn't them die at all if I could help it. I turned my gaze to where Yuna was sitting, but for a brief moment, I saw his true form - or what I HAD to assume was his true form. The guy looked like a fictional character in one of those 'otherworlder' cartoons that were popping up all over the place as of late.
Rala, wherever you are, I need you to protect Yuna, Serena, and Libelle NOW, I thought as I grabbed Keiko and pushed both our bodies underneath our seats. She was so focused on Yuna and Serena that I wasn't certain she'd heard what Sub said, but the second we were on our hands and knees, she was fully conscious of her surroundings - though she didn't have time to ask what was going on before the Roar of Time hit. Yuna, thanks to sitting behind the prosecutor, had enough time to take a Pokeball out of the little backpack she was wearing and open it. Rala came out, and just managed to get a barrier of psychic energy around herself, Yuna, Doc Owl, and the babies in his arms before the Roar of Time hit them.
Keiko had a scare of her own as the Roar of Time raged on above us. Among the many things temporarily changed due to the chaotic ravages of time over our heads, her body actually reverted to a fully human state for two seconds. She looked almost exactly the way she did before Lovrina hybridized her - she was a little taller, a good bit more mature, and her arms were still muscular in a feminine way. We only got a look at her new body before she reverted back to being a Lopunny hybrid, which I took as my cue that the Roar of Time had passed. When I stood up, I noticed Cyrus and the legendary Pokemon he rode in on immediately. There was no doubt about it. Talking time was over, and fighting time was here.

As Monique started to speak to her defense, at this point, I had been feeling nothing but dead inside. Truthfully, this proceeding hasn’t been going that long, and yet, I was already ready to get the hell out of here. Cruxias once again kept wanting to construe and attack every bit of what we were in his own way, but what absolutely made no sense was the fact he apparently had evidence that Monique was in on this whole thing the entire time. Instigating everything from the shadows ever since before she officially became part of the team. SWIPE should have known this one themselves if they had done their homework like they claimed they did: presumably they knew that she had no involvement until she fell out of an Ultra Space tunnel right on our front doorstep just shortly after Deo became part of the team and it left me wondering why are they staying silent for this entire thing. I was ready to call them out for being complicit in all of this; these proud few who harks justice this and justice that fabricated the entire situation. But then Sub had a weapon, the evidence I was rather quick to dismiss over a couple of weeks ago to note that Monique was not part of anything until recently, never mind to show Ein’s utter disdain for us. I had to admit, I did not think that it was going to be all that relevant for us, but Cruxias actually painted himself into a corner on that one.
As Sub displayed it however, even I stared in confusion. A fair bit of it wasn’t what we all saw those couple of weeks ago. The information has been changed. What in the hell happened? I stared at Sub for that brief instant, wondering what was going on. He had this information the entire time – I almost wondered if he had actually changed it himself somehow, with no apparent reason as to why. The only thing that stopped me was I still kept in mind that Aden was involved somehow and it left me to wonder if he did something post us finding this, that he maybe figured out what we got, went back in time, and had it altered in some capacity. It still left to question though how in the hell did we not get affected by this ourselves, and just our evidence. I remembered the conversation with Freth that couple of weeks ago, where she implied Eris’s note that this sort of thing shouldn’t have happened if nature had any say in the matter, that if there were any changes, that it should be extremely superficial at worst, overall no bearing on our reality. It still wasn’t making any sense.
My mind was instantly derailed – a massive pressure spike effectively out of nowhere. I looked over towards the wall where I felt that unholy pressure. I didn’t even need a command out of Sub to do much of anything. Quickly, I hopped up out of my chair, stepping on top of the banister in front of me and took a hard dive toward the jury. I wasn’t going to be able to cover only one or two of them that were still seated as they were trying to comprehend as to what was going on in that instant of an instant. As soon as I was on top of them, the massive booming roar and the destruction of the gym quickly followed. Debris flew over, a good bit landing on top of me as I tried to cover those couple of jurors. I kept my head down, my ears ringing from the loud, destructive blast. I coughed out from the dust that was trying to fall and settle. Once I realized that I was at least still alive, I pushed up and shoved the debris off of me, and thus the two jurors that I had tried to cover then pushed my self over the juror’s box, an Ice Beam aimed at the massive hole that was forcefully made, waiting on the worst to happen, and fight my way out of it while trying to save these people, all the while trying to make out what on this world had that kind of power.
As the dust barely started to clear, my eyes went wide, mouth slightly agape, practically in horror. I couldn’t believe it. There in all of its majesty. The legendary Dialga. I had all sorts of questions to crop up in my head; recalling that conversation with Freth. Did Dialga come here because of it? Pissed off because of it? Was he about to rend this world to oblivion? I couldn’t believe it; perhaps arguably couldn’t grasp the true gravity of the situation, only knowing it was bad as is. Then one that would walk forward, daring to step before the incarnate of time itself, through the massive opening and into the ruined courtroom. Cyrus, the leader of Team Galactic. “Cyrus!? Oh, now what!?” I said, glancing at Sub for a split-second before I kept focus on Cyrus and the Dialga. Though if I am honest, I didn’t even know if there was any way to stop this. Cyrus had control of Dialga? It didn’t even seem possible. My breath trembled a bit, some from the adrenaline that surged, some out of fear of the legendary he apparently had in tow. It was hard to think as to why Cyrus would bother coming here. Now. The most I knew was that the only team leader that knew anything about what was going on right now was Giovanni. Not this guy. Never mind the fact of it left to question when Cyrus managed to get Dialga under his grip. I know that years ago he tried that very thing before, only to be stopped because of some trainer in Sinnoh, with some rumors saying that Giratina had some words to say about Cyrus’s craziness, but then…were these stories false? Did he actually succeed? Or did that change too? Ugh, my head hurts…
Brian didn't see the pink energy flow from the prosecutor into the device Sub was holding. However, he knew that something was off about the USB that Sub plugged in. Monique hadn't joined Snagem until after he had, so he knew for a fact that what was showing now was wrong. Still, that didn't answer why that 'evidence' had suddenly appeared. It was not even a minute after that everything went to s**t, literally. The sudden pressure in the air was the only thing that alerted him that something was wrong, so terribly wrong. He saw a very brief glimpse of Cruxias' form shift before the entire room exploded. He didn't have time to think; he threw out two Pokeballs and tossed them into the air. "Protect!" he yelled, as Lu materialized. "Firebrand, protect the jury!"
Grabbing the people nearest him, he pushed them and himself to the ground as a glowing green barrier appeared in front of Lu, shielding anyone directly behind her from flying debris. Firebrand, as per his orders, looked where Brian had indicated and gave a nod, moving with a speed that belied his size. He was standing in front of where the jury was sitting, and another Protect barrier went up, hopefully able to shield all of them from harm. When the noise finally settled, Brian poked his head over the destroyed bench he'd been sitting on, Lu instantly at his side, as the two gaped in disbelief at what they were seeing now. What in the Distortion World was a Dialga doing here, of all places? Who the heck was the man that had just called to them?
Glancing around, he could see various Snagems reacting to the chaos. He could see Deo huddled on the floor, covering his head. It was clear, at least to Brian, that Deo was feeling pretty bad about what had been revealed. Making his way over to him, Brian reached down and pulled the big man to his feet. "Now's not the time to give up, Deo," he said. "I won't judge ye for what happened; ye made a choice ye thought was right. However, right now, we have bigger problems, and we all need to work together. Go make sure the kids and Doc Owl are alright. We may need yer size and strength to get them all out safely."

Rachel had just begun to make her way around the building when she heard the sounds of shouting, and she turned to see SWIPE and police running toward the front door of the Gym. What was going on? Was someone trying to get into the gym? The next thing she saw was a massive blue dragon, one she'd only heard of until now, before chaos erupted. The roar that dragon let out was almost ear-splitting, making her cover her ears until the ringing stopped. "What the hell was that?!" she asked, turning to see how Amaranth was doing. "What do we do now, Amaranth?" While she wanted to help those closest to her, she was worried about their teammates that were still inside the gym. For now, she would follow Amaranth's lead.
