Short IC Response: Vrati hadn't exactly told his ladies he was doing this, but this did seem like a golden opportunity for any children they had to bear the traits of all three parents. Assuming the legends were true, anyway.

Risa's beauty, Locksley's noblesse (and canine traits), and Vrati's noble blood...how could they lose?

Of course, such wishes commanded a price, and Vrati had come prepared. To get potentially screamed at by his ladies, but, honestly, Vrati didn't mind that prospect too much. Particularly since he'd squirreled away his own small portion of their proceeds from acting (and petty highway robbery), some roses from his ancestral gardens, and some ideas he'd haphazardly bribed a disgruntled raccoon to transcribe for him on random pieces of treebark...all in all, excellent offering, hard to go wrong. Now, he just needed to make the offering, and ask the question.

Setting his offerings haphazardly on the altar, he stepped back, gazed at the stars, and began to declaim:

"Oh, Fair Wishing Star! I, but a humble member of the great na Volczek line, beseech thee to grant unto my ladies and myself progeny, to love and to care for, to raise and to educate, to cherish and to pass on those things that matter most to us. Wilt thou grant us such a boon?" he asked pompously.

After a moment of awkward silence, he said, "Right, thank you very much, we shall look forward to your response with enthusiasm and expectation. I'm sure you've many other wishes to get to, not least of all ours, and I should be getting home. May you shine forevermore in glory in the arc of the heavens, and good night!"
