Bio: Steadfast, somewhat brash, and occasionally loud. He was quite cocky and smirky in his younger days, but he's grown much more mature as he's aged. Toprak has seen his share of battles and hunts. He's not as young as he used to be, but with age comes tact and experience. Like many, his lineage stretches deep into the pride's history, and most of his best friends were distant family members (though many of them are now dead). When he was an adolescent, he realized that he was in love with his best friend--his very distant cousin, Vaha bint Hava. When the two realized they felt mutually about one another, they were married. Vaha was a smaller-than-average lioness and was often sick, but she was always able to hold her own in a hunt and help provide for the group. When she became pregnant, she grew very weak, and Toprak fawned over her excessively. Not very many days after giving birth to three sons, Vaha succumbed to a deadly infection and passed away. She left three cubs behind, who were then generously fed by the mate of Toprak's younger brother until they were weaned. When his sons were old enough, they would often accompany Toprak into battle or on hunts along the borders. About the time their manes were growing in, the family hunting party was met with an enemy ambush. The younger brother of the three was killed almost instantly while the eldest suffered a mortal wound and passed away shortly after the group returned to the safety of their pride lands. Toprak and his only son are very close, and Toprak continues to bestow his knowledge and experience onto him as the days go by. It is unclear if the older male will ever take on another mate.

Bio: Tomboyish; eager to please; friendly; loves to eat; sometimes moody. She's quick to befriend others (or at least try to--she can be a little rough), but part of her always feels competitive when it comes to other lionesses. She is secretly self-conscious of how stocky she is. Akita came from a tightly-knit pride full of family and close family friends. One of those close family friends was her best friend--a male who she grew up with and came to love. But it was unconfessed and clearly unrequited. Seeing no future for herself there, the secretly broken-hearted lioness made the decision to cut ties and find her own way. After a soul-searching journey in the rogue lands and overcoming her unrequited love, Akita finally found a new home in the Bonelands.
Bio: "She grew cold after seeing her sister die, and drove her then-mate away from the family. She has no children, but does not believe in much hope for the future." Cold; bitter; calculating; composed, but rash. Mafuu started a war between the Mava'bunda and the Pridelands after she stole away one of their cubs in an act of revenge. Though things did not end as she wished, she has no remorse for her actions and what they brought about, and has no regrets other than that she didn't kill more lions. Mafuu was extremely close to her sister and is no where near being "over" her death. You'd do well not to mention it. She occasionally willingly engages in conversation with the siblings Tufani and Takataka, as she feels they understand her somewhat better than most.
Bio: A hot-blooded go-getter, the coach in your corner, the "guy in the chair." Kokoto was a blend of big sister and brother to her younger siblings (from a later litter), Tufani and Takataka, and helped to raise them when they were orphaned. Sometimes she had to use tough love, but she was pure-hearted and always put them first. If Ani and Taka got to bickering, Kokoto was good at breaking them up and restoring peace. The three were rarely seen apart and did virtually everything together. During the war between the Mava'bunda and the Pridelands, Kokoto and her siblings found themselves pitted against the Lion King himself. Kokoto was killed during the fight.
Bio: A self-assured, sharp-tongued know-it-all. She can frequently be seen bickering with her younger brother, Takataka, but she is fiercely protective of him and the two are hardly seen apart. She is no longer haunted by the "ghost" of her older sister, but instead takes comfort in her memory as something of a guide. She will still, however, always incite rage and violence against lions whenever possible.
Bio: Once riddled with self-doubt and anxiety, the death of his eldest sister changed him. A grueling training regime made him a fit and capable guard--something he hopes she would've been proud of. He continues to strive towards emulating her and becoming someone she'd love to gloat about. While he can often be seen bickering with his older sister, Tufani, he frequently lets her win out of brotherly affection since their "arguments" are no longer spiteful as they once were. The only time he feels anxious is when he's away from Tufani. He's had a secret crush on Mafuu since he was an adolescent and she spent time with him after his older sister died.
Bio: Dark, cynical, pessimistic, quiet, and hateful, Uovu trusts few (if anyone) and questions most. He fell in love with Mama Simbi, the leader of the voodoo pride, though he was considerably younger than her. Bitter about the pride's beliefs, and bitter in general, Uovu worked meticulously to break the pride up and bring doubt into the minds of the pride members. His frustration over his unrequited love and his loathing of the newly-accepted non-lions into the pride fueled his plot to dissolve the pride. (more TBA...)

Bio: Quiet, shy, kind, and pure. Safi has a very good heart, but most of her love goes to the spirits whose graves she tends. She was nearly killed by Uovu who had planned to make it look as though she had been attacked by Ithambo, a cheetah and Bokor in training. His plan failed when Ithambo himself showed up, but Safi sustained grave injuries despite her rescue. Her life was saved and she recovered, but she was left with many scars.

Bio: Always in a bad mood, Ithambo isn't the nicest cheetah in the world, and he's certainly not running around looking for friends. He mostly keeps to himself, but he can be pretty talkative around those who share his interests or perceived intellect, or those he has decided are genuine and kind--"good spirits". He has a noted weakness for anyone pure-hearted or innocent. He was one of Uovu's many targets during the lion's racist campaign, but since Ithambo was sharp and rather tough himself, he wasn't intimidated. He put the Mama on her guard against Uovu. Infuriated by this bold interference, Uovu attacked the innocent Safi, a lioness Shrinkeep, with the intention of killing her and framing Ithambo for it. Unbeknownst to Uovu, Ithambo was harboring a small crush on Safi, and he showed up at the graveyard unexpectedly in the hope of speaking with her. As a result, he was able to stop the assault before Safi's life was taken, and Uovu was forced to flee. He used his skills alongside those of the other pride members', and Safi was able to recover to full health. During that process, Ithambo realized that Safi was too innocent--far more cub-like than he had initially thought, and so his crush waned. Ithambo was a key figure in helping to keep tabs on Uovu and stop his treachery, acting as both a spy and a Bokor. He frequently reported to Mama Simbi herself and the two worked closely together. Over time, Ithambo developed a mutual respect and close bond with the lioness, which eventually deepened into love. (more TBA...)
