"If I told you, it wouldn't very well be secret now," Harlowe remarked tartly. She was speaking perhaps more freely than she normally would have-- getting into a proper fight did wonders for her affability and personality. And by "wonders", it meant she was marginally more pleasant... though it seemed someone still had the battlelust, as her tiny Igglybuff was currently staring daggers into Shiloh. Mignonne was a bit protective.
She note her other student-- this one, she recognized on sight. Wordlessly, she'd kneel down and pull out another egg container and Pokeball combo, passing it over to Argyle.
[Argyle gains Tyrunt Egg! 50/50 non-battle posts to hatch, currently at 0/50]
As an afterthought, she'd place a poorly-wrapped bone on top of the container-- not the best balancing act, but not bad.
[Argyle gains x1 Thick Club!]
The Professor started, as though suddenly struck by a thought. Well, a thought brought on by a particularly thick accent. She'd scoop up a group of pamphlets, doling them out to Shiloh and Argyle respectively. "Given your performance against the Mew, you're allowed a... second gift. You're free to choose between one of these options, and only one. Tell me your decision when you're done looking."
[Arena Pass: Allows one to battle/train beyond the 3 a day limit imposed by the Mirage Arena.]
[Seed of Experience: Functions like a Lucky Egg when held. May be planted on one's land for mysterious results. Warning: Seed must be properly cared for when planted or it will die.]

Alex Trevell
Reaching into his robes, Professor Strominoff would produce a shiny black plastic card with a stylized M on it, the otherside possessing a stripe and a hologram. It would seem this was the Arena Pass.
Alex would take and examine the elaborate card. An m? Oh, perhaps for Mirage arena. "Thank you again, Professor." He slid the card into his inventory, taking another look at the egg. He'd need to take good care of it from now until it hatched. He'd also need to look up info on the arena, but for now was kind of at a loss for what to do.
After taking the list handed to him, the boy would look at the two options present, recognizing them as the two pokemon he had managed to deal with before being brought back to face the mew. Both were decent choices for their own reasons, but of them, one suited Alexander's tastes a bit more."I'll take the lileep, please,"the boy replied, having and idea of how useful the plant fossil could be with the right training. If nothing else, they were durable, a good fit for his current set of pokemon.
It took another moment or two since there were other people to take care of, but soon Professor Strominoff offered him and another student a choice between two other items. One was some sort of seed, which would make it easier for pokemon to gain experience and could do something strange if planted, while the other was a pass voucher that would allow a person to train more than normally allowed within the arena. Both were useful, but ultimately the boy felt one suited his tastes more than the other."I'll take the seed, professor,"Alexander answered, figuring he might get more use out of that than the pass.

"Humph, if you don't things will just get boring. And, don't start calling me by my last name, I prefer to simply be called Hiro."
The boy would call after Argyle as he as confronted by his professor and his mouth drops open.
"I understood that! I completely understood what you said."
He was completely taken off guard. Most of the time, he couldn't make two shakes at what he was saying, but this time it was clear. Though spoken a bit backwards, he could understand it as he smiles and looks at his choice. It wasn't much of a choice as he would point at the Pawniard on the list.
"Definitely Pawniard, it will be a pokemon that would make a great addition to my team."
Though he wouldn't admit it, but the Scraggy had caught his attention as well. But for the moment, he had to let that pokemon go. Then he would take the pamphlet and start to look over two choice. An Experience Seed would promise that the pokemon that hatched from that egg grew quickly, but so would a rumble in the arena. One would lock him to a single spot, and the other will allow him to roam.
One would promise his pokemon safety to grow, while another would allow his pokemon to grow as much as he wanted.
It was a hard choice, the thing that tip the scale was the mysterious usage if you plant it. The boy would finally make his decision.

Now that she had her items and a new Pokemon egg, there was plenty of time for her to do what she'd like. As she didn't expect any dancing to be happening at this event despite the school dance vibe it had had at the start, she figures it's as good a time as any to look through her things. Kneeling on the ground near the side of the gym, Poppy carefully sets down the egg container and pulls her bag onto her lap to properly sort and organize it. Shinx plops down on the ground beside her with a huff, resting his head on his front paws. Pulling out the seed of experience, she sets it on the ground beside Shinx before reaching up to the ribbon around her neck, untying it and removing it. "Hold still Shinx, I'm going to put this on you so you have something that can hold the seed to you." Shifting closer to her electric type, she ties the black ribbon around his neck, hidden over his black neck fur. Once it is secured, she picks up the seed and slips it underneath the ribbon, where it would be held against him securely.
Shiloh looked liked someone had sucker punch him at the moment. Her answer borderline stupid to him, but, he wasn't going to say it.
He was going to be good. He was going to be good.
"Well, from what I understood, a Secret Santa reveals him or herself when they give the final present."
He said the words matter factly and hope that would be enough to make her truly understand what he had said. Maybe, she would understand why he had asked that question.
Removing the PokeBall and placing it to the cuff & collar bag attached to his belt, the boy would then proceed to take several lengths of fishing line.....lord only knew where he'd acquired it....and tie it to the ends of the cylinder. Once this was completely he'd swing it over his shoulder, donning it much like a backpack. Apparently he'd already thought of a quick and efficient way to carry the egg....that and his bag wasn't large enough.
Once that was secure, the boy would put the bone....which after a moments staring he realized was a Thick Club and not a Tyrunt femur...into his pocket for later use. It stuck out awkwardly, but he didn't intend to leave it there for long. He simply had a more important task to deal with first; and that task's name was Shiloh.
Turning to his fellow student for a moment, the young butler would first cast something of an analytical stare. "There is an old saying I believe applies here. Don't look a gift Rapidash in the mouth..." His gaze shifted briefly to Professor Harlowe "...You might lose an eye." Pausing he'd then turn a bit away and add "Besides, its rude when receiving a gift to interrogate the giver. Why not simply thank the Academy as a whole instead?" His piece done, Argyle would then turn his attention back and fully upon Professor Harlowe "The Seed of Experience, please and thank you."
"Seed being big and little for -ander" Professor Strominoff said as he reached underneath the table. The first, or big 'seed' was of course the Lileep egg, contained in the same okeball topped Cylinder as the others. Obviously being a Grass-type the egg was in fact something like a seed. It was even a similar shape! The actual seed would of course follow. About half the size of Alexander's palm, it glowed with a mysterious green light. Who knew what would grow from it....though such a thing would need to be tended to carefully.
Yet that wasn't where Alexander's gifts would end. Following these things, the boy would then be presented with a hand woven gift basket covered in translucent green wrapped paper. Contained within were three PokeBalls. Specifically a Dusk Ball, Fast Ball, and Premier Ball! For all his catching needs.
[Alexander obtained: Lileep Egg! Seed of Experience x 1! Dusk Ball x 1! Fast Ball x 1! Premier Ball x 1!]
Next Professor Strominoff's gaze would shift to Hiro....a stare that could make a Magmar's blood run cold. Professor Strominoff was visibly a great deal more patient with his students than Professor Harlowe, but this boy was beginning to test even his limits. Reaching under the table, the man would retrieve and yield to the boy a cylinder containing a Pawniard egg, capped of course with the usual Pokeball. This would be closely followed by a seed similar to the one he'd given to Alexander.
When at last the Professor reached a small box neatly wrapped and clearly tagged 'Hiro' however, the man would instead hold it high above the boy's head "Vhat is my nehme being?" He asked, his eyes still continuing to hold little humor.

Alice hung back a bit, listening to the situation unfold. There'd been some sort of battle, which Professor Strominoff had interrupted, and then there were rewards? She tilted her head to the side, curious. They got things for performing duties they were supposed to do? Well, that was good! Alice enjoyed rewards! Especially headpats!
She skipped forward, carefully slipping herself between the students. Her professor seemed a bit busy at the moment, but Alice was a little too intimidated by the other teacher. "Um, Alice Omega, of the Aegis Class," she announced, still hugging Vorpal to her chest.
Honestly, with his choices, the boy should have seen the joke coming. Alexander couldn't help but chuckle a bit as the first of the seeds, a lileep egg inside a glass cylinder that was topped with an empty pokeball, was brought out. He didn't do more than put a hand on it quite yet, though, as he didn't have anything to put it in and would have to take some time back at his lot to set up a sling of some sort to carry it. Instead, he first focused on getting the smaller, glowing seed carefully tucked away."Thank you, professor,"the boy responded when handed his final gift, a basket filled with green paper and three kinds of pokeballs. He then figured out a way of dealing with the basket, his bag, and most importantly, hanging onto the egg before moving away from the table.
Once away from what remained of the crowd, Alexander made his way over to his pawniard, who had spent the time her trainer was busy with the rewards working at getting something to snack on. "Working at" being the key term, given that the table was about a foot or so taller than the steel and dark type. Alexander let out a light sigh, then gently set down the container his egg was in so he could get his pawniard a cup of punch and a small plate of snacks. Once that was done and the dark and steel type was busy enjoying her share in the snacks, Alexander picked back up the egg case and held it close while he waited for the party to wind down.

Shiloh would smile at the Igglybuff. He knew he wasn't on it's favorite list, but still, it's hard to tremble at something that was so cute. He would have made a face at it, if a voice hadn't spoken beside him. Shiloh actually blinks at the boy that was beside him. He hadn't been paying him too much attention, and he knew they had fought against the Mew together, but really, he hadn't stood out to him.
Now he was talking to him, giving him advice that he hadn't asked for.
If Shiloh had been a Houndour or a Growlithe the fur on the back of his neck would have stood up. But, he wasn't, which was good, because he could hide the fact that he was terribly irritated.
His relationship with his Professor wasn't this boy's job to criticize or interfere in.
He had been on his p's and q's with everyone, so he had no reason to interfere. IT wasn't like it was all that important to know. He had just been joking, and she had missed the joke so he decided to continue the game. But now, now, he had someone else telling him how to handle it.
Shiloh wasn't happy, but he remember his mantra.
I am going to be better. I am going to be better.
It shattered as his eyes narrowed at this kid that was dress like a butler. He made himself turn away. His kick starting into a mode that asked a simple question could he destroy him. He remembered, he remembered the pokemon this kid was packing. His own was outnumbered, he remember how much pain the Mew was in when certain students attacked, and he was sure that this kid had been doing quite a bit of damage. Though he couldn't tell, because the interaction had been so short, whether that was because of his pokemon's moves or whether it was because of his pokemon's strength.
He was unsure...unsure got his pokemon killed.
He force himself to smile, and turn back towards the butler kid.
There would be other chances, and an enemy with a dagger is more likely to be successful than one toting a sword.
"Of course, you are right."
He said the words with a tightness that was hard to miss as he looks back at his Professor.
"I apologize for my imprudence , I meant no harm."
Those words spoken was much more normal and it showed the strain of the last set of sentences given to the boy. He would then turn and walk away with his prizes in his hands. He needed to start some interactions with others anyway, he hadn't been in the best shape the first time had arrived in this room.
Hiro would take egg in the container and realize horribly that he had a bit of a problem. The egg container was kind of big, so it was hard to simply walk around with it in his arms and he couldn't use his jacket to tie it to himself. Currently a Purrloin was enjoying it somewhere, and his bag wasn't big enough.
The boy would simply hold it in one arm as he would put away the see in his bag. He was done with it after that, and he thought the was done completely as his Professor spoke and held the box over his head.
Hiro knew he shouldn't jump for it, and if it wasn't for the egg in his arm ...he would have done it anyway. Putting something out of his reach means he needs to jump for it as the world's soon to be greatest trainer would refuse to let anything escape it's grasp.
Then he asked the one question ...the one question that the boy couldn't answer. Hiro would go a bit pale. This was the first time he understood him, so of course, he had clue. But he would take a breathe and try his best.

Karasu had reached the table when lo and behold it was his Professor standing in front of him. The boy had seen the slight recognition spark in the older male's gaze before he started shuffling through some papers. After showing him a list, the boy would get to see several Pokemon. Brief flashes of those he had met down the path raced through his mind. However after a couple seconds of considering, he would point to the word Pichu and then flip open the pamphlet given to him. Reading about each, he would choose the seed of experience. It was after he finished stating his choices, he would simply wait to see what would happen next.
Koga would watch and see what choices Karasu would make. The Skarmory noted that several students were now holding Pokemon eggs. Was this a result of what had happened?

The shinobi would enter the room and then observe what the other students were doing. After he had an idea of what to do, he would approach his Professor. The young boy's gaze would light up happily with almost hearts appearing in his eyes after spotting the Longinus Professor. "Harlowe-Sensei!" The boy would exclaim happily smiling a bright, sincere smile as his gaze became a bit dazed. He was stunned by the mere presence of her. The absolute beauty. The attitude. The lethal aura radiating from her very being. It was so...perfect..
