Argyle would come across a small Poochyena digging through a box. He grumbled and growled, hindquarters stuck in the air as he searched. Upon hearing the trainer's approach, he'd start to a halt and stare at Argyle with the wide yellow-red eyes. Deciding whatever he was searching for wasn't worth it, he turned and fled, leaving behind only a ruffled box.

Argyle actually managed to look a little disappointed as the Poochyena fled. Oh true the species wasn't exactly high on his list of favourites, nor was he exactly a dog person....in fact he was't generally found of such people....but given the....severe allergy to Psychic-types his team held, a Dark-type could certainly prove useful. Alas. Perhaps another time. Paying the box no mind, the boy would continue forward.

Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.

Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard.

"What is it with riff-raff wandering about my store?" A sharp, slightly accented voice reached Argyle's ears, and the source would reveal itself shortly thereafter. An older gentleman, clad in an impeccable suit, stepped carefully around the cluttering of boxes. "My, but I am surrounding by incompetence... oh, don't micromange they say! But if I don't... this." He flicked a gloved hand out over the mess and heaved a sigh. "Honestly, it makes one yearn for the grand days of adventure... but nostalgia is for the feeble-minded." He fixed a steely glare right on Argyle. "As for you, child, I suggest you make yourself scare. This is my store, and I am not running a child care service."

A little Aron milling by the graying man's feet, curiously peering up at Argyle. Ooo, was there going to be another battle?

Argyle's response to being the direction of the man's attention would be to click his heels together military style, before bowing at the height appropriate to a superior. He didn't know who this guy was, but there were some pretty obvious guesses. Best to play it safe. "My apologizes dear sir, however if you might excuse my rudeness, I cannot comply with your request" Following this the boy would straighten "I've been asked to retrieve a particular item for a particular man. If this establishment is indeed your own, would the name Marco perhaps ring a few choice bells?" Argyle asked, every word spoken through a perfectly measured smile and an unfaltering polite tone.

The Croagunk on the boy's shoulder of course, would take an alternative position. Lazing there as if the child was a recliner, he'd cast a glance at the Aron and ponder what he looked like covered in mud.

The older pawnbroker stared down at the youth, grey eyes steely. "I am not running a daycare, young man. I have no idea who this 'Marco' chap is, and frankly, I don't care." He adjusted his cuffs, heaving a sigh. "I gave you a warning. You chose not to listen, and have thus brought this upon yourself. Eun-hee, begin."

Yup, battle time! The little Aron let off her trainer's shoulder, landing with a little clatter in front of Jekyll. She glittered in the low light before hunkering down-- not a dodge, strictly, but an attempt to endure whatever was thrown at her.

As Argyle stood there a few strands of hair would suddenly rise out of place upon his head. Though his expression remained placid, the boy was desperately attempting to retain his composure. It wouldn't do any good to bludgeon this man with the nearest heavy object. No, he decided while smoothing his hair and releasing a breath, he'd just have to take out his ire on the man's Pokemon. Much more acceptable practice. How a man such as this managed to operate a successful business was beyond him....though he supposed it explained the employees he'd encountered thus far.

Adjusting his collar, the boy would look down upon the Aron as he coldly stated "Jekyll, use Mud-slap."

Well he supposed he wouldn't need to ponder about the mud anymore! Sliding off Argyle's shoulder, Jekyll dropped to the floor and snickered lightly. Oh this was going to be fun indeed wasn't it! ">No hard feelings eh? Unlike the rest of you! HA!<" The Croagunk laughed, clapping his hands together with a wet smack. Choosing this time to gather dirt by licking the awfully dusty shelves....didn't these people know how to clean?...the Croagunk would chew and mix the grime with saliva and whatever else his mouth was secreting today. Once he was done he'd scrap a ball of mud off his tongue and fling it. Be it smack or splat, he was a slap happy chappy!

((My memory of typings is getting worse and worse...))
(19-1 cool +(17-12) = 6 * 4 = 24 DMG! Eun-hee is at 2 HP!

An impressive defense... but not impressive enough. The older gentleman would watch as his Aron was practically buried in filth. Well, he'd have to get someone to clean that up later. "Rise. Use Iron Head." His voice was short, laced with iron and strictness. This battle might have started off poorly, but it could always be turned around... besides, this wasn't his only Pokemon.

She shook herself off, rising unsteadily on her four stubby legs. >No... no hard feelings!< the Aron remarked as cheerfully as she could. This was an interesting fight, after all. Perhaps if she kept her head up... or down. With a whistle, she rushed forward at the Croagunk in an Iron Head assault.

Argyle, pragmatic assassin butler that he was, had no intention of allowing the elder gentlemen to turn this battle around. If one could call such a dim witted oaf a gentlemen of course. "Counter-attack. Mud-slap" The boy stated flatly. No like a good member of his class, he would crush all opposition. Perhaps then this man would become more...agreeable.

">Oh boy this is not your luck day twinkle skulls<" Jekyll called out, though the glint in his eyes made it clear he was enjoying this. Gathering up some of the mud had that hit the floor, and picking out what he could from his teeth, the Croagunk would gather up another clump and fling it. He was pretty sure in a few seconds mud wasn't going to be the only thing smeared across the floor!

The Croagunk literally blasted Eun-hee to bits-- the floor was covered in mud and chunks of steal. There was nothing left of the plucky young Pokemon... not that the pawnbroker seemed to mind. Indeed, metal-eaters were terribly common. She was cheerful, but easily replaced. It didn't do to get too attached to Pokemon; not in a city like Ostglas. That being said... he did have a perfect Pokemon for the job. "Momo, if you would."

A Snubbul appeared in a flash of light, nearly slipping on the mud. >Whoa! Clean up on aisle five, am I right?< He chuckled at his own joke before noticing Jekyll. >Ah, it's a fight? Well, c'mon, froggie! Let's do this!< He bounced backwards, seemingly unaware of the remains that surrounded him. It was a teasing dodge, trying

Argyle would arch an eyebrow in response to their latest foe. Did he just say Momo? Could it be that Momo? It was small and covered in polka dots. No no...likely a human singer, and besides doubtful this Snubbull was old enough. Perhaps this man was a fan. My wouldn't that be a twist. Perhaps this entire battle would just up and end if he offered the CD in his bag....probably not though. "Jekyll, use Mud-slap" The attack had done them well quite frequently up until now, so why mess with something that worked so well?

Jekyll would find himself grinning at his infectiously perky opponent. Not just because they were so cheerful of course, but because of how delightful it would be when that smile twisted into surprise and pain. Oohoohoo. He could hardly wait! Lunginer forward the Croagunk would gather up mud and what remained of the Aron...waste not want not right...and smoosh it into a ball. When he was ready he would rear back, and then FLING! ">Noooo batta! No batta!<"

Jekyll missed!

The older gentleman clicked his tongue, unimpressed by the Croagunk's behavior. Creating more of a mess... when he beat this child, perhaps he'd request their filthy frog clean the disgusting floor. Adjusting his hat over his salt-and-pepper hair, he surveyed the situation. Perhaps it was time for this creature to get a taste of his own medicine... "Momo, Retaliate."

>Eh, you want me to use that?< The Snubbull tilted his head to the side, curious. >Why? Wh--?< The fairy-type's eyes lit up a strange white as he took a deep breath. >Your sins will be punished. I hear her voice.< Had the Snubbull been possessed? Or was he simply a very good actor? It didn't matter, because in that moment, he threw himself right at the Croagunk. He roared, claws outstretched. It was a strike of Retaliation!

">Her? Who's her? MA I TOLD TO STOP EMBARRASSING ME IN BATTLES!<" Ok in truth Jekyll had no idea who his mother was, and had spent about a year assuming everyone was a gangly, off colour Croagunk, but the sentiment remained the same!

With a light shrug of his shoulders, the Poison-type would leap into the surrounding shelves in an attempt to use them as cover. ">Lets be honest, my tally is pretty high, I think they've given up on punishing me!<" He called out. Remarks like that tended to shock people...he was never sure why...but hey if it worked!

That was of course when Argyle would step in, seeing the advantage of the positions. "Jekyll, counter with Mud-slap!" The Snubbull was blinded...not literally of course, but likely too focused...now was the time to strike.

Jekyll would of course chose not to listen. Oh not that he didn't like Argyle's plan, but the boy wasn't aware of just what he was capable of anymore. Leaping down to the floor, the Croagunk's middle fingers would begin to glow a toxic purple as he adjusted the position of his hands. With speed and precision the Pokemon would strike out at his foe's weak points with Poison Sting!

((I CAN'T REMEMBER TYPING))
(20-14)+(19-14) = 11 * 2 = 22 DMG! Momo is at 5 HP!

Oh, right. Snubbull had been declared a Fairy-type just recently, hadn't it? Or perhaps the typing had just been discussed. Bah, all this newfangled nonsense. He remembered when Bite was a normal-type move! When Magnemite was only an electric-type! Why on earth did committees insist on changing such basic things? Perhaps it was money. Or perhaps he was becoming senile. Perhaps fairies had always existed? There was Cle-fairy, after all. This might have been why Montana suggested he retire... the older gentleman sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. He needed a break, and a strong whiskey. But first, a battle. "Dodge. Attempt to avoid that... poison."

The odd light faded from the Snubbull's eyes the moment he stopped attacking. >Did I just... go somewhere?< he asked Jekyll, given he was the only Pokemon around. Well... the only one still alive. And possibly not for much longer, given Jekyll's track record. At his trainer's orders, he'd roll away.

Argyle would cast the an odd look at Jekyll in that moment. So this was the nonsense the Croagunk had been pulling earlier. Seemed he'd gone and learned something quite useful recently. Well he supposed one good blow deserved another. "Jekyll, again if you'd please" The butler spoke plainly, gesturing to the Snubbull.

Please. Yes because he'd asked him so politely last time. Eh whatever. Taking up position again, the Croagunk would sneer at his opponent ">Oh you're going somewhere alright...<" Then he snickered, eye's glinting as his middle fingers changed colour ">...say high to the family for me~<" And then he was off, with the speed and force of a slingshot. Fingers held in a position similar to an arrow or snake head, the Croagunk would strike out at each of the Snubbul's polkadots with Poison Sting!

Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M]
Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv
[Temperament] Naughty

Jekyll can learn Taunt! But Jekyll already knows four moves. Forget a move to make room for Taunt?

The gentleman watched with some distaste as the poison finally caught up to his Snubbull. His eyes bulged out, and the creature's coat shifted from pink, to purple, to red, to green... it almost flickered through an entire rainbow before he gave a choked scream. The Snubbull foamed blue at the mouth before keeling over.

"Ah, death. Comes to us all... for some, in more interesting ways than others." The older man gave a slight sigh. "At least you left me with a body to bury this time," he remarked, carefully picking the Snubbull's stiff form and placing it on a nearby table. He'd also procure a small bag, placing some coins in it before tossing it to Argyle. Thus finished, he turned to look at the youth with a pair of icy eyes. "Given I am the owner of this establishment, and you still have not provided an explanation for your appearance beyond the name 'Marco', I will once again as to what you're doing here. Did you, perhaps, wander into a pawnshop without the intention of buying things? I assure you, the back alleys are a far better place for your brawls." Sarcastic tone aside, this could be another opening!
