There, he even added a tilde to make it playful. He actually felt better after that, in fact. Enough so that he put off reading and responding to her other message until he got to the next location. He had found the egg for this location, but he wanted to check on the progress his computer was making. After all, he would need to focus on that, and he didn't want to leave it unmonitored. Hopefully he still had some time before he needed to focus in on it again, but if necessary, he could always buckle in at the next location, and have Xatu stay close to teleport them whenever the pokemon returned with an egg.

Actually pulling out his computer, Zak found that was pretty much exactly the case. He frowned a little. He'd have to respond to Scarlett's text once they got to the next spot, so that he could sit down and focus on work after. Annoying, but at least it was a task he somewhat enjoyed. Using his skills and flying through the code. He lifted his head as Xatu arrived, giving a nod of both acknowledgement, and permission to teleport them, telepathically transmitting the next location. He really hoped it wasn't as bad as it sounded, but from what he remembered... it was.

Or back to Sinnoh. She was surprised really that they’d managed to miss this one location. It wasn’t surprising though, she was sure Dova had simply bypassed it along the way and hadn’t kept an eye out. That was probably her own fault too, with the struggle to try and quickly get through regions before the dark.

And as interesting as that would be to witness, she was fairly certain the Sharpedos would win. Not so much because she doubted Lafayette’s strength; he was certainly very strong. But he was still in recovery, had yet to really get used to having only one arm at his disposal and would probably lose the second one in his crazy fit of rage.

And a double amputee was well… kind of definitely not going to cut it as a minion of Juliean. At all. Like Cheri was fairly sure that would be the smoking gun to end Lafayette. Both figuratively and literally. She was fairly certain there was no way Juliean would allow Lafayette to continue on his merry-way after that. So, it was really in their best interest to avoid it happening in the first place.

A little bit of spelunking and Cheri managed to find the egg they had missed. She tucked it away in the bag once she returned, doing a double check of everything just to make sure no other sports had been missed in previous regions. When her double (and triple) check was done and she was certain they were alright to move on, she climbed up onto Dova and ushered the dragon to take flight for the island regions. Alright, they still had time and the pair were still sleeping. This was working out well.

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ After a moderate hike, Dallas and Meloetta made it deep into the heart of Mt. Coronet. While the Melody Pokemon was caught in awe of the natural cave formations, Dallas was beat and taking a breather on a rock. "You know, I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, Melo, but I am pooped." He rummaged through his duffle bag until he produced a can of lemonade. Oh, Dallas! Maybe a little song will put some pep in your step! I know just the tune, too![/color And as she would often do, the pokemon broke into a song, which got her trainer to smile, albeit weakly. "Okay, you little showoff, just let me take 5, and we'll hit the street."
"I like songs."
Dallas perked up at the unexpected voice, and Meloetta's song petered off. "Huh?" The thug sat up a little straighter, and spotted someone, silhouette in the shadows of the dark cave. "I like songs a whooooooole bunch!" The voice was feminine, but had a strange waver to it, and just a hint of malevolence. Dallas cocked an eyebrow, mildly annoyed by the stranger's...strangeness. "Good for you, ********> Dallas retorted. "Why don't you go sing a long song off a short-"
"I have a flute I like to play! It makes Pokemon reaaaaaaaally angry! It's like their souls BURN WITH RAGE! The figure stayed in the shadows, but produced a flute of some sort, seemingly out of nowhere. "Look here, freakshow, if you better be kidding, if you're not, you better get ready to-"
DIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!! The figure played a loud, blaring trill on the flute, which made Meloetta and Dallas cover their ears. Motherf....okay, that's it! I'm kicking your a**, lady!" Dallas stood up, and got ready to take the pain train to dumb b***h station...but then, there was a faint sound, which grew louder. Screeches and roars from Pokemon started to fill the cave, overbearing the trill of the flute. Uh oh...Dallas, I'm scared! Dallas scowled, and threw out his Pokemon. "Okay, team! Looks like we got ourselves a free-for-all!" As swarms of Geodude and Zubat swarmed the cave, Dallas and the team got ready for a big fight!

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ "We....we did it..."
Dallas huffed and puffed, as did the majority of his team (all except Duchess, who refused to get her fur dirty). Around them were a multitude of KO'd Geodude, Meditite, Zubat and Machop, all of which had attacked after the strange woman played her flute. The fight went on for some time, for at least a straight hour. Everybody was beat down from all the fighting, even Dallas; he didn't make it out unscathed, with bumps and scrapes all over. That was messed up! I can't believe we pulled that off..." Meloetta and Susan made mumbled agreements, while his less telepathic teammates simply panted.
No fair, no fair! My little song was supposed to do you in!" The voice made Buns and Meloetta shiver, but their trainer simply groaned as he got to his feet. "Oh, I've about had it with you! You're about to get a serious beatdown!" The figure still remained in the shadows, making a disturbing giggle. "Are you suuuuuuure about that? I have dark spirits that would love to finish what those fools couldn't! I hope you're ready to see the void! HEHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!" With a flourish, the mystery person through out a Dusk Ball, and out emerged a Yamask, which join its trainer in its cackle. "Oh, cute, it wants to battle!" Dallas glared at the stranger, and looked to his party; were any of his pokemon still well enough to fight?
Riptide was foaming at the mouth with anger, and abruptly answered Dallas' question. The little shark went out to meet the Yamask in battle. The masked ghost shot an attack off at the shark, whose anger didn't let him stop. Riptide clamped down on the Yamask, which yelped. "No no NO! Yamask, burn the shark!" Yamask's Will-O-Wisp indeed burned the aklor, but that didn't stop him from biting down once again, knocking out the Yamask. The stranger returned the pokemon with a growl of anger. Riptide was ready to fight another fight, but Dallas called him back. "You're done, little dude! Yo Susan, help Rip get a burn heal, won't ya?" Susan agreed, and Riptide retreated, just in time for the stranger to release a Gourgeist. The jack-o-lantern glowed ominously as it teetered forward. Luckily, Beltigre was itching for a fight, and quickly entered the fray. Though the gourgeist seeded Beltigre, the torracat's fire fang made quick work of the stranger's second foe. "Next!" Dallas shouted. The voice in the shadows screeched before throwing out another ball. "Killhimkillhimkillhimkillhimkillhimkillhim!" A gengar emerged from the haze, laughing maniacally. "That all ya got? Let's get this over with."
What presided was a battle between Gengar and Meloetta, which became a very heated combat as the Melody Pokemon did its best to out-trick the trickster. Meanwhile, Susan tried to find a burn heal for Riptide, who fidgeted angrily because of his burn. Hold horses, Riptide! Lemme see...boy, Susan wishes Susan could read! After rummaging through the bag, she simply grabbed three somethings and shoved them in Riptide's face. Here, eat these! Medicine for sure! The shark ate them ravenously, but instead of getting his burn healed, something else happened...
Finally, the gengar was defeated, just barely. I...I won! Victory song is postponed... The mystery woman screamed even louder in a massive fit. "What's wrong?" Dallas taunted. "Never lost a fight before? Well, first time for everything. Now you're about to get your first a** kicking in a cave!' The woman stepped further into the shadows, still having her fit. "You b*****d! You were supposed to get beaten! I'll kill you! You fool! You'll rue the day that...that...whoa whoa whoa-" Out of nowhere, a humongous beast shot out from over Dallas' shoulder, and clamped down on the mystery woman. The shriek she made was even nastier than her other protests, and even Dallas winced. "What the hell was that?" Dallas pulled out his phone to use as a flashlight, and he carefully made his way closer to where the beast had gone. And once he got close, he saw what could only be...a gigantic Riptide?
Riptide had definitely evolved, but by the size of him, he'd skipped a step. He was about 7 foot long, with a hammer-shaped head. In his mouth was the culprit: a woman around Dallas' age, dressed in a long purple dress, which dark purple hair to match. "Nonononono! Please, don't eat me! I don't wanna die!" she batted her fists on the Sharenkalor's head, but Riptide only growled and started to gnaw a bit deeper on the girl. Dallas loomed over her, and she looked to the thug for mercy. "Oh great, you're one of those Hex Maniac bitches," Dallas grumbled. "Okay, whatever. Riptide, bite her in two, I guess." The maniac screamed a thousand protests. "NO PLEASE! Please I'm sorry I'm sorry I don't wanna die please I'll do anything!" Dallas glanced over at Riptide, and then back at the maniac. "Anything, huh?"
{{OOC:Riptide was accidentally fed 4 Rare Candies, which made Aklor evolve. However, he evolved again because of Apirl Fools magic. }}

✪Walking Pokemon ⇨ "No, please! That's too much!"
"You ain't got a say in the matter, girly! So just shut up and take it."
"Y-you're gonna break me at this point! Please, I can't handle this!"
Dallas sat on a rock while the hex maniac groped and grabbed at the large wad of money that he was counting out. There was Sinnoh, Kanto, even some Alolan funds tucked into a nice, tight wad, and the thug had decided to claim all of it. "You've broken me completely..." the maniac whined. "I worked so hard, scaring all of those people for that money..." Dallas laughed, which made Riptide grumble a gravelly chuckle as well, which put more pressure on the hex maniac. "Well, you should've thought about that before you screwed with the wrong guy. So, I'll be taking all of your chump change. You know, as reparations."
The purple-haired girl finally crawled out of Riptide's maw, and slumped down on the rocky floor. "C-could I at least have enough money to feed my Pokemon? Even ghosts have to eat, you know..." Dallas scowled as she groveled for her money back...but he couldn't help but pity her. "Tell you what; I'll leave you enough money for your pals," Dallas sighed, annoyed. The maniac looked up from her sobbing, surprised. "Geez, don't look at me like that, you freak...gotta admit, you got a nice little scam going on here." She sat up at the insult and the compliment, and scratched the back of her head. "Thanks, I think...I always liked theater when I was young, so I figured I could do the whole 'crazy cave witch' thing to get easy money. And that defective Pokeflute always makes the Pokemon mad, so I easily spooked tons of travelers into paying up. You know, until a brute like you came along."
Dallas shrugged. "Don't give a s**t, freak-"
"It's Minerva-"
"Don't give a s**t, Minerva." Dallas stood up, and shoved the rest of the money into his pants pocket. He recalled his Pokemon, and prepared to head out. But, he stopped short, and looked back at Minerva. "Don't waste your time on this hustle, Minerva," he advised. "If you're this good at acting, why don't you take up another hobby? Try coordinating, for example." Minerva looked at Dallas with incredulity, but before she could inquire the sudden advice, the thug turned away. "Or, you know, sit in a ******** cave all night like the Blair b***h Project for all I care. Deuces, I'm outta here."
With that, Dallas moved on down the path, looking to get out of the forsaken mountain and head back to Oreburgh City.

While not necessarily excited to be back at Mt. Coronet after the last foray, Austin still kept up his act as they made their way into the mountain range. And, instead of trying to punch through the mountain like last time, Austin opted for the more safe route, which even had an established area that was much better suited for camping. And even better, it was practically empty; it must have been the off-season, or perhaps more people just cared to blast through to the other side (or better yet, fly around it). Either way, the coordinator got to work on getting camp set up, with his team helping to set up.
Well, all but Duchess. even though she didn't even have to get involved in the insane free-for-all that they had experienced, she had refused to step foot out of town towards the mountain. So, Austin decided to store her in the PC at the center, promising to pick her up when they got to the other side. The rest of the team was eager to help of course;, Riptide grabbed a mouthful of fallen trees and chunked them over by the fire pit that Buns and Beltigre were working on. There was actually a little general store near the base of the mountain that sold some food items and supplies, and with his ever stuffed wallet, he was able to pick up decent cuts of meat and fresh(ish) vegetables to make something a little more substantial for dinner that night.
And once the sun started to set and the fire was was going, Austin finally found it safe enough to pop off his gloves and roll up his sleeves, letting his tattooed limbs get a little air (that, and wipe the sweat off of his hands before trying to cook anything. "Much better," he muttered. After laying out some dry pokemon food to keep the team away from the more delectable stuff. "Alright, I hope you're ready for some decent grub, cuz I'm gonna grill us up somethin' good! Well, hopefully. Most of my cooking was done on a hotplate in a 9 x12, ya know." While he got things ready, Susan scuttled on the ground and ate pokefood more like a dog than a gardevoir. Blegh. Pokefood yummies are no...well, yummy. Good thing Din-Din gonna give me some later! Meloetta (who ate her food with graciousness) looked at Susan with suspicion. You didn't bully Din into give you her food, did you? Susan shook her head, offended. Nuh uh! Susan gets them as reward for shushy hush-hush secret about -oh! Susan almost said! Nice try, Meleotta! Susan too smart for tricks! Susan smirked and giggled, but the Melody Pokemon merely shrugged it off, finding Susan too naive and childish to have done anything cruel to anybody, let alone bully someone for food.

Their journey to Mount Coronet was rather uneventful. It wasn't a long walk, so it wasn't as if walking in silence was to big of a deal. When they arrived at a small convenient store, Temperance went inside as well, picking up a few things herself like a few bags of mixed nuts, trail mix, some Jerky and some bottles of water. When they were done with that, the remaining trek lead them into the mountain.
While Austin and his Pokemon were busy setting up a fire and camp, Temperance and her own companions helped out some. Daruk was helpful at digging out a pit for the fire, as well as clear a few fallen rocks that had fallen from the mountain. Temperance in the meantime sat nearby Austin, rather Dallas as the male's natural persona took over. "You can cook? Does your plethora of talents ever end?" She joked. "Is there anything I can help with? I'm pretty good with a blade, I could cut up those vegetables for you." She offered as she stood.
After the camp was set up, and pokefood was placed out for the others, the smell of the fire and fresh food seemed to entice a few Pokemon from the mountain to emerge, eager to snag a bit of the free food. Though one of them, a Geodude accidentally rolled over Daruk, having not recognized that he wasn't one of his buddies. Daruk, seemed to be a gentle soul but this insult seemed to trigger some anger in him, as the Geodude let a fist fly, knocking the Geodude clean across the camp and into the mountain wall. This of course gained Temperance's attention. "What was that?" She inquired. Din floated back, quick to answer. 'Well, looks like the newbie liked being rolled over.' She grinned. For a moment Temperance was a bit confused, but in the end she shook her head. "Well, be more gentle, Daruk. I'm sure it didn't intentionally roll over you." Leaving at that, the blonde returned her attention back to Dallas. This transgression however wasn't forgotten, and it only drew more attention on the campers.

Dallas, having completely abandoned his Austin routine, let out a snort at Tamara's offer. "Oh yeah, truly thine's mighty blade shall rend these vegetables asunder or whatever....but yeah, sure, help out.Thanks." He handed over the veggies, and kept on with the meat."So yeah, don't your hopes up on this food, by the way; I just know enough not to starve." He wasn't being dishonest or humble, he really was just a bare-minimum level cook, but the food would definitely be better than processed preservatives. "Ya know, I'm gonna have to see if that swordsmanship you were going on about at the gala is really all this slick some time," he added. "Not saying I wanna get stuck, but it'd be pretty dope to square up on somebody that does more than throw left hooks. Ya know, like that Leon ******** I dealt with." He thought about that moment, when he lost his cool and almost kicked a guy in the head, and let out a happy sigh. Till we meet again, shithead... While he thought about it, he gave the meat some good tenderizing with his fists before slapping on a simple salt and pepper rub. A simple pan would serve as its cooking surface, with just a little oil to keep it from sticking, and soon it was starting to grill up.
Meanwhile, Susan and the gang watched as the geodude rolled into camp and got quickly dispatched. Lotsa geodude in these mountains, she muttered. Her teammates nodded in a quiet agreement, having survived the horrors of the mountain before. I concur. But, let's hope that it stays quiet this even for us. I'd hate to have to get into another large fight after last time. Riptide grunted and went to Meloetta's side, giving off the idea that he'd protect her. Oh, I'm sure you'd save me, Riptide! You're such a strong sharenkalor and all. Though, you were much cuter when you were a little aklor! The shark's heart sank, and he felt deflated as he grumbled to himself.

Giving a chuckle to Dallas' response, Temperance collected the veggies in question. Finding a flat rock she requested the aid of Azalev to help her wash the veggies before she placed them out before her and proceeded to chop them up. "Oh, I'm sure it'll be fine. But know I'll gut you before I die of food poisoning." She replied jabbing at the air with her blade a bit jokingly. "Kidding, kidding. I've been known to have an Iron stomach." Temperance added, chuckling a bit at that as well. Going back to chopping up the veggies she stopped a moment to look back at Dallas. He wanted to spar with her? No doubt Dallas looked good with his hands, the good ole' fisticuffs, but a blade was an entirely different thing. Especially when the blade was longer than a daggers. "What was that fight about anywa-... Nevermind, I don't want to know. I'd rather not gossip. As far as showing off my skill I could demonstrate later if you'd like. I don't have an actual sword on me, but the dagger I'm using comes with a twin." Temperance replied, holding out the blade once more, this time to show case it stead of make stabbing jokes.
Going back to eating, The group looked to Meloetta as she mentioned a large fight. Azalev and Daphnes seemed mildly intrigued, but Daruk and Epona didn't seem to interested in Meloetta's story. Din floated overhead, looking down at the group. The sprite grinned playfully at the Sharenkalor's reaction to the half-insult. 'Everything is cuter when it comes in a smaller package.' Din grinned, holding up her nubs as if shrugging. It was then, not to far off, something popped up out of the ground, landing nearby, it turned towards the group, a fairly large rock flew towards the group, but thankfully Din caught it, sending the rock off to the side. 'Might as well get in some training before we move on.' The psychic added, floating towards the strange Pokemon to test her skills some more.

A solid chuckle was Dallas' response to Tamara's 'threat', as it was nice to see that she was capable of making jokes. And then another one, at her own expense? Truly, this was a blessed night. "Oh, so ol' Stonewall's got iron sides, too! I can dig it. We'll put that to the test pretty soon, since this stuff's cooking up pretty fast." He poked at the searing meat, making sure to flip it when it was time to. The vegetables were added without fanfare, just soaking in the salt and pepper mix for some added flavoring. When Tamara dismissed the altercation at the gala as gossip, the coordinator went ahead and filled her in. "Don't worry, I'll give it to ya straight: So, Leon bows up on me, thinkin' I was trying to make a move on his girl, Isis. Well, he gets all pissed off and swings on me. And well, if you've learned anything about me, I swing back, full force." He grinned proudly at the fact, but it started to waver somewhat. "I mean, I coulda tried to explain myself, I guess. I definitely didn't want Isis to worry about the whole thing...but man, screw that dude, ya know? I mean, who just walks up on a guy and starts swinging?" The hypocrisy was lost on him, and instead he indulged Tamara's offer on a demonstration. "So yeah, that sounds like fun, Tammy. Just take it easy, I usually don't mess with blades and stuff. Less felonies with your hands, you dig?" And soon after, the food was ready, and divvied about between the two adults.
Meanwhile, Meloetta started to explain the tale of the maniac and her cursed flute. And then, she let out a squealing tune that shook the very walls of the cave! she proclaimed in operatic fashion. Here, you shall perish! Those were the words her dirge of doom provided! So, we had to fight to survive! But everywhere we turned, more and more monster came! From the left! From the right! Even from the- It was then that the nosepass had fired a rock towards the group, and Meloetta jumped out of her skin, just about. Susan started to growl at the rock as it hit the ground, and Riptide took it upon himself to bite down on it, in case it was another Geodude. Beltigre and Buns, however, merely laughed at the overreactions of the rest; It would seem that Beltigre's knack for intimidation and Bun's training in tough contests started to pay off. Hey! Nosepass scare us! No funny! Susan hissed at Buns and Beltigre, but they didn't seem to pay her any heed.
