The day was certainly nice, Dumuzi had cooled down quite a bit as they made their way back into the south end of the city and prepared to leave on their way to Santalune City where he was going to fulfill his end of an agreement between him and Titania. Dumuzi noticed how tired poor Tenanye was and returned her to the pokeball so that she could get some rest. Titania seemed to be going strong and Du liked the companionship that she was starting to develop between herself and her Kirlia that they were building now that they were able to understand each other. Their topics went back and forth with some trivial things and casual conversation until they came to the outskirts of the city where traveling in between towns where there were little to no people where there were no people around to overhear or bother them. It was about then that Titania then focused her conversation to Dumuzi and his off gender alignment. ’Feya? Can I ask you when you started to have these feelings like you didn’t belong in your own body? Like… why you may have started to feel like you may be happier with being the opposite gender?’ Titania was genuinely curious about this human that she found herself with. She didn’t understand the concept of being in the wrong gender, so she wanted to learn more about it. Most people or pokemon probably wouldn’t care, but this was something that affected her human, and thus affected her as well, she just… wanted to understand how they could help Du, really. Du looked down at Titania, she certainly was curious about his conflicting gender identity. He had to pause though and wonder over where he started to feel like how Titania described. ”Well, I’m not sure really, I’ve always felt like I never really belonged with my peers. When I was growing up I would rather play with the girls and do things that were more traditionally for the girls, btu that doesn’t necessarily mean that I thought of myself as a girl or anything…” There was a bit of a pause again. ”I guess I started to create Feya in my head and daydreams around the age of… 7 or 8 maybe? That was about when the division of the sexes occurred in school and I found myself having to adapt a new persona for myself so that I didn’t get outcasted by either group… not that it worked well, but at least the bullying wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I guess… it maybe started happening around that time? I’m not sure… and to be honest I’m not even sure where I fall on the gender spectrum…” Du paused for a moment and looked skywards as he walked along. Titania was asking him question that he was kind of pushing off in the corners of his mind for the moment, maybe her stirring them up was a purposeful thing. It was hard to tell at this point. Du looked over again. ”I wish I could answer these better than that, but I don’t know myself, Titania. I just know that I want to try somethings and see how I feel about them. I guess… that can be a part of my journey as well. Titania’s expression softened. Yes, that sounds like a plan. Hopefully we can help you get those answers you’re looking for, Du.’ Du smiled back ”Thanks, I’ll do my best too.”

The field of all these flowers were beautiful and Dumuzi couldn’t help but enjoy the walk at a bit of a slower pace while they were walking along. A pleasant, comfortable silence had built up between pokemon and partner at this point. Not because of something that was said, but because enough was said and for the moment there was no need for words at this point. Instead, the pair had continued on enjoying the silent presence of each other. Dumuzi thought about a lot of things while they walked along among the flowers, he let his mind wander to how he was going to pull off his contest moves, he pondered over what sort of things that the contests would lead him too and what he would do in the unlikely event that he didn’t find Contests especially for him. He doubted that this would be the case, but there was nothing wrong to try and think of a backup plan just in case. Du’s thoughts were suddenly drawn to home again, he couldn’t help but wonder how his mom was doing and if he would have the chance to make up what he had done for her. His old man would be disappointed no matter what he did, but he knew that so long as he had his mom in his corner he would be alright. Then again, he wondered how she would react if he ever found out that he would be happier as a girl, that would make for an interesting conversation…

Dumuzi relaxed a bit when he saw the Santalune city come into view, Titania giggled and gave a spin before she pranced towards the town slightly ahead of her trainer as if she was going to be making him go faster by getting a head. Du chuckled at his pokemon’s enthusiasm but didn’t really pick up his pace, the sun was warm and he was really enjoying this leisurely stroll. It was nice not to feel as though you were rushed around because of Badges and what not, and although Du knew that eventually he would have to get his pokemon into contests soon and prove to them that he was worth obeying because they could trust him, he still didn’t feel so pressured to do so much and so quickly at the same time. Perhaps it was because he was getting out of his brothers shadow that he was starting to feel a little better and nowhere near as stressed as he once was about things. Now that he wasn’t being measured up to someone who was just… better at him at Training and battling, maybe he could actually do something with pokemon that he could just enjoy for the sake of enjoyment. It was an encouraging thought to say the least, and a far cry from the nervous anxiety that he was feeling when her first started out on his journey. Finally, he and Titania crossed into the city where she was quick to grab his hand and lead him into the city, no doubt to go and find a place to get his hears pierced.

As they left the northern part of the city, entering the south, Rose heard Marx mention pokemon not listening if you don't have enough badges. "Oh yeaaaaaah! That happened to me! I had taken a really long time to battle Viola. It wasn't a good feeling, but we are all past it now!" Rose said, remembering how Felix had to bring up to her that some of her pokemon were refusing to battle for her. It was kind of weird, how it was over not having enough badges. She hadn't had any problems since then, though. Then Naiya mentioned something about her friend having thought she'd take really good care of the pokemon. "Heh~ Maybe. I certainly will take really good care of him though! I can't wait to meet him!" Rose exclaimed, holding the Rhyhorn's ball. "Rose, no. This is definitely not the place to be letting out a rhyhorn. Marx pondered this fireworks pokemon a bit longer before he was quickly distracted while they moved on. He looked at Rose in surprise when she commented about her pokemon actually disobeying her. "Whoa, really, Rose? Your pokemon stopped listening to you!?" he asked in surprise. That was so hard to believe... He wondered if Fynx was one of them-- since he was forgetting about the starter exception-- and which of her other pokemon had disobeyed. Had they revolted or something? Huh... Hm. Maybe he really should worry about his own pokemon's levels or something...
He looked over as Shenaiya sent her message, and then back at Rose as she commented on being excited to meet her new pokemon. He smiled, about to comment when Sableye suddenly burst from his pokeball, immediately leaping onto Rose's bag. "Wha-- Sableye! Hey!" Marx's eyes went wide, and he lunged over for the pokemon, but Sableye, whether he'd been searching for more, or the rock gem Rose had before, dispatched from Rose's bag just in time to dodge him, taking off. At the same time... something seemed to psychically strain the strap on Shenaiya's bag, moving to try and tear it, and cause it to drop, to distract her from interfering.
And in a blink of an eye, just like that, Marx and Sableye were lost amongst the crowds and streets.

Jay smirked a bit. "Little bai little adds up. Y'ever think 'bout gettin' uh biker 'r somethin'?" he asked. Personally he would likely never get a bike because, well... a few reasons. As much as he could get around with echolocation, he wasn't sure he was confident enough to travel, through unknown areas, that quickly. That being said... he couldn't deny that he was looking forward to getting skilled enough to have a pokemon that could Fly him areas, or that he'd been tempted to ask to borrow one of his dad's Tauros or something. For now, though, he was fairly content getting along as he was.
Chuckling, a bit, Jay gave a side tip of his head. "Least with the circle thing, y'could go left 'r right 'n still get where yer goin' eventshully," he pointed out, smirking a little. Waving off the tahnks, Jacque tried to focus in on his surroundings, still listening to Sebastian but making sure he could hear Mary Lee nearby, and wasn't getting himself lost. "Yeah, ah did. Jesse looked over at Spade, buzzing a bit, but she seemed to assume the question was for Mary Lee-- that, or she was so uncertain how to reply that Mary Lee simply got to it first. "About what~! Sorry I scared you earlier, by the way!" she said, still happily swinging her legs along to continue at a steady pace, trying not to jostle her passenger too much. Sebastian tilted his head in consideration. "A bike? Hm…," He had been thinking about some kind of mode of transportation earlier, hadn’t he? It would certainly make getting from place to place easier. "I have actually. Not sure on a bike though. Maybe rollerblades or something." Because those were absolutely the best for travelling along rough terrain and certainly wouldn’t lead to any ill-ending incidents.
"I don’t know, circles are tricky. I prefer squares." He paused, considering something a moment before shaking his head, absently adjusting his bag as he did. Instead he focused on the description about mega evolution, an eyebrow quirking curiously. That was certainly something new to learn about; evolutions beyond final ones? Just from holding some special stones? He had to wonder how many pokemon had that kind of ability. It sounded amazing. He noted the bandage on Jay’s arm, frowning slightly. "Did you get in an accident?" Wow, was he a nosey b*****d. Apparently being around the living people who weren’t in a state of mourning wasn’t a normal occurrence. Sebastian realized this fact for a moment, straightening up a bit. "Ah sorry, that’s rude of me."
He had to think a moment, opting instead to direct the conversation towards the approaching city and gym leader instead. "So what type of gym is Viola?"
Spade twitched and just kept watching the two, shirking back a bit but giving a little bark in response. ”L-l-l-letting her r-r-r-ride you…,” He seemed to shake his head a bit. ”I-i-i-it’s…. it’s f-f-f-fine… I-I-I-I wasn’t scared…,” His response wasn’t really all that convincing though.

Jacque's expression went a little flat for a moment at Sebastian's comment. His mouth became a thin, straight line as he tried to consider if he'd misheard. But no, he hadn't. ".... Rollerblades? Ain't them.... sorta uh trippin' hazard'r somethin?" he commented, brow furrowing, "Ain't never heard've 'em as bein' good fer rough tuhrain..." Was this guy one of those thrill seekers? Or just pro at rollerblades? ... Or just not that smart...? He had come to a city without thinking to get a map... Maybe he just didn't think things threw. Jacque smiled a bit in amusement and exasperation, taking his hat off a moment to run his fingers through his hair. What a character.....
That smile vanished into a frown a second later, though. "Squares?" he replied in disbelief. "Why'n thuh hell? Why wouldju prefer them sharp corners'n such?" he asked, using his free hand to draw a line in the air, and then a sharp, ninety degree line down. That was just baffling. He should actually really check his holo caster, now that he thought about it. Dumuzi had probably replied by now, and Mawile would likely want to hear from his sister. "Bug," he replied nonchalantly, dropping his hand back to his side, "Mah personal favorite. Yer houndoom should be able t'take 'em, though. Think ah heard uh Quilava, too? Couldn' quite tell... 'E's a mighty squeaky little feller. Either way, doubt it'll be much've uh challenge fer ya." Not that he really knew how strong Sebastian's pokemon were, but he was assuming. A MIghtyena, a Houndoom, and a Quilava? Those were all evolved pokemon. He'd thought he'd heard a Mareep or something, too, but... wasn't quite sure, and that wasn't nearly as relevant. Or evolved, technically speaking.

Sebastian glanced at the cowboy, noticing the expression on his face at his potential preference for rollerblades over a bike. Indeed it was an odd choice and Sebastian probably should’ve felt a bit embarrassed for even suggesting it; but he wasn’t. And for good reason.
"I guess. But I’ve heard a lot of stories about bikes getting hit with lightning and being burnt to crisps in the process." He shook his head. "I’m not really for being hit by lightning." Not only was electric shocks painful, it messed up his hair. That was just a double pain he did not want to deal with. "I’d only use there were it was reasonable." At least that was the hope; there was really no promise he’d use them responsibly. And there was nothing wrong with a little thrill seeking from time to time, it was supposed to be an adventure!
"The corners don’t always have to be sharp. You can round them off a bit." He stated matter-of-factly, watching as Jay drew an angle in the air. "Besides, squares stack nicer and pack together better. Spaces made of circles leave to much unused room. It’s a waste." Boy, a conversation about shapes.
"Ouch… what kind of pokemon has a bite that harsh?" Sebastian remarked, quirking an eyebrow. He only knew a few pokemon who could pack a serious bite but it was certainly unsettling to consider. He had to grimace a bit at the thought; the thought of being attacked by a pokemon evoking less than pleasant memories. Misunderstanding or not, it wasn’t something he’d wish to face with his own. "Well, I hope you patched it up then… the misunderstanding that is."
"Bugs?" He tilted his head. "Really?" It wasn’t that odd, but most people Sebastian had encountered weren’t fans of bugs. Although… if Viola was a bug gym leader and Bugsy was too… maybe more folk liked them than he recognized. He glanced at Jesse and Mary Lee. The Beedrill certainly made sense. Though, not the Numel. Numel weren’t bugs as far as he could tell.
"You figured that out from just hearing them?" Sebastian questioned, his tone showing how impressed he seemed. Jay hadn’t pulled out a pokedex to check or anything now that he thought about it. Sebastian wouldn’t have been able to guess the pokemon and he could well… see them. He could even tell about Quilava through the squeaking, that probably said something.
Sebastian just shook his head in amazement. "Well I hope so." His expression went serious for a moment, glancing back at the Houndoom who was paying attention to everything else but the group, though remaining in tow just behind. "I don’t know about Blackjack, I don’t think he’ll listen. But if Naps can stay awake long enough, he could get the job done." And if not well then he would just have to lose and try again. Realizing what he'd said, he straightened, glancing back at Jay. "My Houndoom and Quilava that is."
Spade’s gaze seemed to narrow a bit in question, muzzle twitching as he eyed the two. ”W-w-w-what if s-s-s-she pokes y-y-y-you though…?” ‘Poke’ was a nicer way of saying ‘stabs you’ as the Mightyena was pretty sure accidental stabbing was something that could happen with a Beedrill; especially one who wasn’t much for flying.

If Jacque could see, he would most likely be staring hard at Sebastian right now. Staring at him and trying to see if he was serious. But he couldn't see, so he couldn't stare, so he had to assume the guy was serious based off the tone of his voice. And threw a hand up at the idea. "Well then... don ride 'em in uh storm!" he replied, "Lightenin', from what ah heard, don' strike outta no where! Just have uh little since 'n ahm perty sure ya ain't gonna get struck bai it. 'R, y'know... get uh plastic baik or somethin', ah dunno. Cert'nly more likely t'trip'r somethin' usin' them roller blade then get struck bai lightenin usin' uh bike..." Seriously... what? This guy was.... he was certainly something else...
Jacque frowned, then threw his hands up again, momentarily letting go of Heracross again. "Y'round them corners off too much'n y'know what ya have? A circle. 'N if'n yer talkin' bout a city-- and, we are-- then this 'wasted space' business clearly ain't applicable. Y'make uh circle big enough 'n any segment've it'll basically be straight. Even if it weren't, y'could build the houses curved too! Use that extra space when makin' thuh inside flat to add ins'lation, 'r put them cords'n pipe junctions'n such there. S'plenty've ways t'make it more manageable, 'n ya don' have them corners t'worry bout with thuh streets. Just follow thuh curve," he argued, throwing a hand out as iff to indicate his point.
He paused, still frowning a moment, then seemed to settle. Raising an eyebrow, he tilted his head to the side. "Y'ever heard've a pokemon called 'Mawile'?" he inquired, then shrugged, "But yeah, ah think we fixed things up well enough. And ya. Bugs," he added. He wasn't sure if that was surprise over his favorite, or over the gym leader using them. Either way... Yup, bugs.
He raised an eyebrow slightly at the next question. "Well they do sorta say their name. Hear 'doom' one'r two times'n ya can put two'n two together. Same with thuh other pokemon. Their voices don' always vary that much neither," he added. He frowned a bit as Sebastian started going on about his pokemon, using nicknames, but smiled a little when he explained. "Ah, alrigh'. 'M assumin' that's respectively... Whai'dja decide t'call yer Quilava 'Naps', if y'don' mind me askin'?" he inquired.
He slowed, turning his head a bit, then coming to a stop. "If I ain't mistaken... there should be'n exit just over there," he said, pointing a little to the left, "Should lead towards Sanatalune. Ah'd assume there'll be sum signs, too, if it ain't too obvious from where we're standin'."
Mary Lee blinked a bit. "You mean with her singers?" she asked easily. Jesse was looking at Spade with a questioning and puzzled look. He seemed so nervous... and stuttering. You'd think she was riding him with how concerned he seemed. 'I'm sure she wouldn't do that! Besides her singers are pretty safe in this position," she added with a glance back. Indeed, Jesse's stingers were folded alongside each other against the Numel's neck, to help keep her grip on the hump so she wouldn't fall. "Besides! I'm sure Jay would heal me even if that did happen!" she added happily.

Sebastian was a little surprised by Jay’s response, blinking and staring at the man with a mix of surprise and confusion. "Who said anything about biking in a storm?" He gave a frown as an eyebrow quirked. "I can’t imagine they all] were biking during a storm when it happened. And even then, the chances of being hit by lightning are incredibly small. " Sebastian gave a shrug.
"I know correlation isn’t causation, but I’ve got to say, I’ve talked to quite a few people and I have yet to hear about someone with rollerblades get hit by lightning. Just those with bikes. So." He would certainly be willing to be humbled if someone came along mentioning they’d been wearing rollerblades when they’d been struck by lightning. He didn’t quite doubt that there was someone out there that it had happened too. He just hadn’t heard it yet. Also
"Rounding corners doesn’t change a shape. If you round it so much it turns into a circle, then it’s a circle, not a square." He frowned, gaze narrowing a bit as he raised a hand of his own to gesture. "And fine, alright, I’ll give you that a circle could be used for a city, but you wouldn’t want to bunch several circle cities together." To be fair, the shape of the city hadn’t really been what was on his mind when he made his square comment but still… a square had corners and turns you could recognize. "How would you curve a house anyways? That doesn’t sound like it’d be steady." He tilted his head, looking at Jay in confusion. "Sure street corners would be sharp turns but it’s not like they can hurt a person. People fall off curbs you know." The fact that he was having a conversation/argument about shapes of all things –with a blind man at that- didn’t even seem to faze him. He shook his head, dropping it for now.
"No I haven’t actually." He should probably see how many pokemon there were in the world at this point. "Is it a bug?"
"It’s short for Napoleon actually." Sebastian remarked, rubbing at the back of his neck at. "It’s a card game if you’d believe it, people tend to call it ‘Naps’ for short." He paused, glancing down at the pokeballs on his belt. "And he also falls asleep randomly… so ya there’s that too." The napping seemed to be getting a little more predictable though… maybe once it was fully evolved it wouldn’t be such a problem? He hoped so.
He stopped along with Jay, glancing in the direction he pointed –which was a bit odd considering the circumstances- giving a nod of appreciation. "Ya, I see it." He remarked brightly, the idea of facing another gym leader starting to spark his spirit. Sebastian looked back at Jay. "Thanks again for playing guide. I appreciate it Jacque." Even if the guy had argued with him about shapes, he’d enjoyed his company. He glanced over at Spade and Blackjack, giving a jerk of his head before addressing the other man again. "Hope to see you around again then. I take it you’re off to train some?"
”Well y-y-y-ya…” Spade didn’t seem to buy the claim, shifting uncomfortably against Sebastian’s leg as he twitched a bit more, momentarily becoming lost in his own thoughts. When his trainer addressed him he perked up, head snapping upward to give a little grunt in response, eyes glancing back at the Houndoom who seemed for the most part unamused.
”W-w-well g-g-good bye I g-g-guess.” He barked back to the other two pokemon.

There was a very long silence to most of what Sebastian said. There was a lot that Jay could have replied with-- a lot. But, they had neared the exit, they were preparing to part ways, and there was one thin in particular that could really sum it all up. ".... Yer'n int'restin' feller," he commented with a chuckle, shaking his head a bit. Riding bikes and getting struck by electricity, discussing shapes, and houses, and the shapes of houses in cities of certain shapes... He couldn't help but laugh a bit. If they ever crossed paths again... he'd have to try and resume some of the itneresting conversations.
"Nah, Mawile ain't uh bug type. Ahm sure you'll come 'cross it one way're nother. Worst case ah'll show ya mahself if we cross paths again," he offered. He quirked an eyebrow, tilting his head a little as Sebastian explained the name origin. "Well... s'pose that's rather fittin', then," he commented, scratching the back of his head, then adjusting his hat back into place.
As they prepared to split ways, he took a side step, still holding onto Heracross but indicating to Mary Lee that they were parting. "Yep. Gonna go see what pok'mon ah can catch, 'n train up thuh ones ah've got," he confirmed. He lifted a hand in a sort of wave. "Good luck on yer gym battle, bah the way. Maybe ah'll see ya up in Geosenge," he offered, then turned, heading for the other direction. Hopefully he could find his own way out of this confounded city...
Mary Lee still smiled despite Spade's obvious dubious response, wiggling happily, but looking up as Jay stepped away, and their trainers seemed to bid farewell to one another. "Oh, okay! Bye Mr. Mightyena!" she chimed happily, turning to bound after Jay, slowing to her trot when Jesse gasped and bounced from the sudden hurried movement.

Sebastian nodded and gave a wave goodbye to Jay in return, -not that the man could see it but habits were hard to break- before turning towards the exit. "Hope so, take care!" He remarked, ushering his pokemon along, Spade glancing back at Mary Lee and Jesse curiously while Blackjack just moved along ahead, apparently lead the way to wherever. Sebastian would get his bearings of the city before figuring out what to do. Did he want to challenge the gym leader right away? He wasn’t too sure. But he’d figure it out once he got there.

She seemed much stronger than the rest of her pokemon. But she wasn't sure. She smiled a bit as Rose said she couldn't wait to meet him. "Well, yeah. We don't want him frightening others though. Or wrecking stuff." She said chuckling a bit. Of course, she wasn't prepared for what happened next as they walked. Her holocaster went off, so as she was checking that one, Marx started questioning frantically, and she looked up just as Sableye was jumping out of his reach and off of Rose and racing off. She went to help capture the little bugger, when her bag came undone and fell to the ground. She reached down to catch it and barely caught the bag before it hit the ground. She sighed, but as she looked up the two were lost in the crowd. "Well shoot. Uh... Shall we try to chase after them or wait for them to come back?" She questioned her friend. She wasn't going to separate from Rose if she didn't have too. Not in a big city like this.
