Alexandra's expression contorted into soft contemplation before it eventually relaxed, her shoulders raising up in a shrug. "It's possible," she replied, keeping optimistic. "Though I can't imagine many people actually complying." Marx certainly was... positive, to actually think that someone would go easy on him in battle if he simply asked. It wasn't to say that some people wouldn't, there was just a higher probability of someone taking advantage of Marx's oblivious and trusting nature. Reaching up to begin idly fiddling with a strand of her hair, she felt a smile begin to tug at her facial features when Marx paid her a compliment. "Thank you, Marx," she murmured."I'm glad you could take something from our battle." After all, that was what truly mattered. Still, it was nice to know she made for a good teacher and Alexandra found herself keeping her smile for the rest of their walk through the cave.
Xion rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, realizing only after she'd hugged Basil that she'd taken him by surprise. Oops! That was her bad... but at least she hadn't caused him to fall over, and was that.. it was! Hah! She'd even gotten him to smile. Bonus! Once her bum-rush hug and their reunion had ended Xion fell into step beside Basil, arms folding politely behind her back. "I'm glad to hear it!" she chirped, only to quickly revise her sentence, "...that you're okay, I mean. You also don't look that out of shape," she amended, hyperaware of the glare her friend sent his trainer. She blinked when Basil pointed out that she'd gotten stronger and with a sound her gaze dive-bombed to the ground and she scratched at her cheek, self-conscious. "Oh? Me? Naaaah, not really... it's really only because of this stone," she explained, and with her gaze still on the ground she uncurled her left hand to reveal her Mega Stone. "Besides! You're still stronger than me." Honestly, she hadn't even been paying attention to how strong she'd gotten lately, she was more proud of the fact that she no longer cowered away from battle, but that was more of a personal accomplishment. Finally Xion lifted her eyes from off the ground, "maybe you can take it upon yourself to do a few battles," she suggested, just as Caldo took out a Zubat with a well-aimed Thunder Punch, it was a nice bit of serendipity and she inclined his head towards her fellow pokemon as an example, "take on any pokemon you come across."
Alexandra brushed her hair down, laying down flat a few strands of hair that had frizzed out from Caldo's electrified battle. She reached a hand out to pet his head once he came toddling back, a silent and affectionate praise for his victory. She was still in a rather jovial mood, enough so that she barely even noticed how close the walls were, and it showed. "That sounds like an excellent idea," she replied smoothly. "Do you know anything about contests yet?" Honestly, she'd thought about participating in a few contests herself, if only for the experience, but she knew next to nothing about the competitions, save for the bare bone basics.

Making it out of the cave, Cheria set Lhilei down and watched her yip happily and run off ahead. She laughed a bit. For such a rude little thing, she had quite the cheerful side. Lhilei...didn't seem so bad. She was actually like a little girl than anything else. Acting all tough and snobby, but is really afraid and cheery.

The path wound up a slope for a short distance before disappearing into an opening in the rock. "Hmm, this could be trouble," she said quietly, more thinking out loud, "Let me see what I have to help us see in there..." While Berrie was rummaging through her bag, they made their way up the incline but stopped at the entrance to the cave. There they waited for a minute or two until the girl finally found a pair of glow sticks they could use to make it easier to see. Unfortunately, she didn't see the little creature hiding just inside the cave entrance, it's eyes glowing a bit in the dimness as it watched the girl. No sooner than she had cracked the glow sticks and had gotten them to fully mix, did a blue paw-like hand with a puffy black sleeve reach out and snatch the glowsticks from her. "Kit Kit!" it teased and then ran deeper into the cave. Berrie was a little stunned, having never seen anything like it before, but she quickly got over it and chased the mysterious pokemon inside, her little group following along.[-

-]As Berrie chased the little thief pokemon further into the cavern, if grew a fair bit more dim and the resulting glow of the stolen glow sticks seemed that much brighter by comparison. It also seemed like she was getting closer, a fact that had to be true because the pokemon was making sounds like it was getting a little flustered. Clearly, it must have noticed as well. All of a sudden, it waved a hand, and a rock jumped sideways, catching Berrie's foot and sending her sprawling with a loud cry. The fall hurt but it was a familiar pain, a pain she knew all too well growing up how she had. She didn't have to look down to know that she had split her knee open. No, she could tell just by where and how it hurt. Cerbera knew she couldn't worry about it now though...so she'd tend to the scrape later. The girl got back up to her feet and could already feel the blood starting to well. Muttering a quiet curse, she started running again, dead set on chasing downt hat thief and getting her stuff back.[-

Spirit glanced over her shoulder to make sure the others were keeping pace too, and she hoped desperately that Yuki knew where she was going.[- -]When Spirit wasn't looking, Lua climbed onto the Espeon's back and was now riding her side saddle...without an actual saddle. She still had the Fennekin in her arms, snoozing away, and her free hand gently grasped Spirit's soft green fur. The girl was tired of walking, and the shiny Espeon was a convenient height.[- -]Meanwhile, Loofah was hopping along at the best pace she could maintain, putting her a little faster than the Espeon. This was evidenced by the fact that the green-furred one was passed rather quickly. It was still a bit of a chore to keep up with Yuki, though she did her best.[-

He had been perched happily on her shoulder the entire time his mama had been chasing after that weird little thief thingy, until she tripped over the rock that is. He was thrown from his perch at that point and tumbled through the air for a few seconds before being able to right himself and regain control. When the little Ho-oh finally recollected itself, Cerbera was already up and running after the thief again.[- -]Berrie didn't realize that her baby Ho-oh was still with her until she saw it get launched off of her shoulder and heard his sweet, needy voice in her head. Reluctant as she was before to stop, she could not leave Feng alone for any stretch of time. The tiny bird was far from being able to take care of itself. She couldn't trust that Feng would be safe like she could trust the others. There was also the fact that she was already falling behind once more, so a few more seconds wouldn't hurt. Once Feng was safely back on her shoulder, the girl took off after the thief at top speed once more.[-

It was almost as though she could...sense the girl's presence or something, in a way that Spirit or Lua were unable to. She knew the two would talk to Berrie privately, but Yuki had no care to do the same. She merely enjoyed having fun with the girl on this adventure.[- -]Spirit grumbled a bit at being used like a pony, but she also didn't want to unseat the illusionary girl and hurt her or the Fennekin. So for the time being, she just put up with it. The Espeon did mutter to just Lua, [- -]Lua nodded and said back to the green Espeon, She didn't want to make the stronger pokemon angry, especially after seeing what it had done to all those fighting pokemon in the alley. She grasped Spirit's fur tighter, careful to not hurt her, but also keeping her balance.[- -]Loofah stayed in the middle of the group, hanging far enough back that Spirit could keep sight of her, but also keeping close enough to Yuki that the Haunter wouldn't give her the slip. Underneath the witchy garb, there was a little blue cat that was absolutely adorable. Berrie was a little shocked by just how cute this critter was, and her grip on it loosened just enough for the pokemon to wriggle free. Both of them got up and Cerbera had to tackle it again, gripping much tighter this time. As they struggled, they banged a rock aside, revealing a hidden cache of goodies this Magikit had stollen. Before it could get away again, she pulled a pokeball out and trapped the adorable kitten. She then took a few minutes to sort through the cache, pocketing a few berries, an odd little flute, and a heart scale.[-

-]The sound of the scuffle between Cerbera and the Magikit had been enough to draw Berrie's "missing" pokemon to her side, guiding them the rest of the way. Her Haunter, Espeon, Frogadier, Fennekin, and the adorable little ginger arrived all together in a makeshift little pack just as the girl was cleaning up the cache of pilfered items. She smiled when she saw them and took the time to give each of them a warm, lingering hug. "I'm glad you're okay," she whispered to each of the pokemon, including Lua. She was quite honestly relieved to see that all of them were safe and had found their way to her. It spared her the trouble of trying to backtrack and find them once again. "I am truly sorry for leaving you guys behind," she said, looking down at her feet. The girl indeed seemed quite remorseful, but she couldn't just let a thief get away from her. Feng finally landed back on her shoulder and the girl scratched it on he head, smiling a bit. "What do you guys say we get out of this cave, hmm?" Her pokemon all agreed unanimously except for Yuki who abstained, remaining quiet. Satisfied, they all headed back along the path they had taken. Along the way, Berrie idly toyed with the flute she had found, running her fingers over it and then playing an amusing tune on it. She wasn't playing anything in particular, just fooling around. Despite that, the melody seemed to draw in a small creature that appeared to be some sort of dragon. In response, Cerbera called forth her muscle. "Crash, come on out! Beat this thing down hard!" she cried out.[- -]Crash amterialized between Berrie and the little dragon and heard it's trainer's orders. She quickly moved in and drove a firm fist into the Axew's head, right between it's eyes. The Axew was stunned by the strength of the blow, to the point of sheer helplessness, allowing the Makuhita to land a second blow on it and finish the critter off.[- -]Cerbera was amazed by her little sumo's power and chucked a ball at the fainted Axew. Sadly her first throw missed, but the second was right on the mark, capturing the helpless pokemon after shaking a few times. The girl then collected the bounty of her battle and said, "Great job, Crash. You've earned yourself a rest." She recalled her Makuhita to it's own ball and then her little group continued on the path, eventually finding their way out of the cave.[-
