xX_Terei_Xx Oh, before I forget! Official DMs, I need you to take another opinion poll. Which I'm not putting up aboveHow do you feel about the following things in a campaign? - Battles - Character Interaction - Puzzles - Dungeoneering - Non-dungeon/Social Missions Well, lemme see here...
- Battles: A fun part of the game, but not the only or even primary part... and I try to keep it that way. - Character Interaction: Our groups encourage it, it develops a reason for them to remain together. Thus, it's what I'm used to... - Puzzles: Just so long as die rolls are NOT the only way to succeed, I'm happy. A bit of logic should fill in the blanks where die rolls aren't working. - Dungeoneering: It's called DUNGEONS & Dragons for a reason (Yes, I know, we're doing PF... close enough for me.) Never had a problem with it before, don't have any problem with it now. -Non-Dungeon/Social Missions: ALWAYS entertaining, especially with a rich cast of PC's.
Hope that answers what you wanted to know? D:

xX_Terei_Xx How do you feel about the following things in a campaign? - Battles - Character Interaction - Puzzles - Dungeoneering - Non-dungeon/Social Missions
As for Battles, a battle here or there is nice. Battles work better in person than they do in play by post. Unless you have a dedicated group they can take a few weeks to get through, so I try to use them sparingly. No random encounters, no 'minion' battles. Whenever you do have a battle, make it count for something. Save it for the bosses : P
Character Interaction, I think, is the key to the success of a play by post game. If players don't have fun with each other, then they have little reason to keep popping in. Boredom and arguments seem to be the main killers of games I see that fall apart.
Puzzles can be fun, if the DM knows how to make them. It's funny cuz we were just talking about this today, I assume this is not a coincidence, Terei : P Anyway, there's a thin line on puzzles that separates 'too easy' and 'too hard.' If you can hit that sweet spot then puzzles can be a wonderful thing. Otherwise, they can stop the party dead in their tracks.
Dungeoneering most often means an abundance of battles. Which as I said can be bad when doing play by post. When doing a dungeon, focusing on traps, puzzles, and situations with negotiable enemies are the best, with a key battle thrown in here or there.
Non-dungeon/Social Missions I think are what play by post was made for. I love a good sense of intrigue anyways, and that's something that usually doesn't get played up enough in real time sessions, I think.
