Without another word, Geth dove into the ocean, rising up momentarily so that both of them could fill their lungs before he swam beneath the crystal waters, startling a few of the fish that lived beneath the waves.
Maris took another sip of tea. Somewhat of a bad husband to leave her out to die like that, considering that she had a brace on her... Maris slapped her forehead.
"She had a brace on her leg. But it must have fallen off somewhere."
She sighed. It was annoying, to have one item crossed off the to-do list only to have a new one pop up. She finished off her tea, making sure her rifle was slung before she made herself ready to leave.
"Do you have something to make a brace with here? Or do I need to go out and gather the supplies?"

Ebony gave a small shrug, "No, but she's not going to be needing it for a few days at the very least, so I wouldn't worry about it right now. By the time she does need it, we should have been able to find Borias since he made the last one," she shook her head over the leg and shrugged a bit, "But you can leave her here if you want to go. I'll watch over her," she said simply, knowing that the woman was more restless than a rabbit with an itch to scratch...
Sasha gave a deep rumble as they moved under the water, holding onto Geth since it was hard for her to move on her own. She loved seeing the fish and simply feeling the cool water move over her scales.
When he surfaced this time, she couldn't help but rub her cheek against his neck with a delighted laugh, "Thank you for this! I've missed it!" she told him, her gentle voice filled with laughter.
All he had to do was turn and he'd see her beautiful white iridescent scales gleaming in the sunlight and proving that she was a true treasure among dragons, a very rare coloration even with her light gray scars marring her hide here and there and her wings bandaged and splinted to her sides.

Maris snorted.
"I had to drag her from the mainland. Once she gets better, she owes me a meal at the very least. I'll stick around for a little bit."
In the water, Geth turned to look at Sasha, watching the sunlight reflect off her wet scales. He hadn't seen such a sight in ages... Playfully he nudged her cheek with his snout.
"You might want to hold your breath..."

Sasha gladly took in a deep breath and held it as he dove again, holding on as he moved and wondering what he was planning this time. She was truly enjoying herself for the first time in a long time. And she wasn't having to fly to do it!
Ebony gave a soft chuckle at her words and gestured for her to take a seat, "Have a seat and I'll cook you a venison roast that'll knock your socks off...," she offered as she stood up and moved to the deer that Geth had brought up just a bit ago. One of them went into the room with her hatchlings for when they woke up, the sight of them still curled up and sleeping on their cushions making her smile before she moved back to cut a nice sized chunk from another of the deer and wrapped it and an herb mixture from a small pouch found in a different chest in specially treated leather to bury in the hot coals of the fire set at one end of the cavern and did the same with a collection of fresh vegetables.
She took a pot and added a smaller chunk of meat to it along with some of the same herbs and hooked that over the fire to cook as well, knowing that Layla wouldn't be up for much besides broth for a few days yet.
"There," she said as she stood back up and moved back to get some more tea, "Should have a nice dinner for you in about an hour as well as some broth for her when she wakes up," she explained as she sat down again.

Geth tested the depths, and he skimmed over the reefs, displacing several fish as he flew through the water, but something caught his eye: There was a a large opening under the water, and it peaked his curiosity... But he wouldn't explore the underwater cavern with Sasha on his back, since he didn't know how far that would go underwater... He rose back to the surface and paddled towards the shore, saying,
"Forgive me, but I must leave you on the shore for a few minutes... I really must explore that opening near the reef..."
Maris sniffed the air. Venison, huh? After a few minutes, the smell of the cooking meat wafted through the cavern, and it made Maris' stomach rumble. She unslung her rifle and set it down, leaning it against the table and the girl looked for a place to sit... She couldn't but laugh when she saw the large cushions.
"What, are you expecting Dragons, or something?"

"We are expecting anything and everything upon these islands. Be they dragons, zombies, or dragon zombies." Lao stated as he exited from the shadows, having stayed back near the children to ensure that this Zuko person hadn't followed them. His eyes seemed to narrow at the mention of the undead as he slowly padded forwards, staring at the wounded elf intently, and then to Ebony. "We will take turns watching over her Ebony. You've been through enough these past fews days; I want you at your best should we ever need to defend this place. Take a few days to relax and play with the children; I am capable of keeping the elf alive."
His eyes turned to Maris, looking her over with a soft snort. "These cushions are generally for other dragons to come sit on, or for our children to play with. However, be it that you are one of the few guests who ever come to our island, pull up a seat and enjoy draconic hospitality. I ask that you do not approach our babies unless they approach you first. After all, you can imagine that I wouldn't want somebody armed with a firearm around my kids."

Ebony gave Lao a smile and stood, setting her cup by the tea pot on its warmer and moved over to place a kiss on his nose. Then she shifted to her dragon form, the light reflecting darkly on her black scales, "Alright... I'll leave you with them for now and go curl up with the little ones for a bit... There's broth cooking for when Layla wakes... If Borias shows up, all to the better. If he doesn't, we'll have to see about getting a message to the castle that she's here...," she told him before she nuzzled at him a bit and gave Maris a brief nod.
Then she moved over the safety wall into the nursery and curled up around the hatchlings on their cushion, spreading one wing over them in the process.
Sasha let go of Geth and moved to rest in the surf on the shore, "Go ahead, I should be fine here in the sun," she told him softly as she settled down in the warmed sand with a pleased sigh.

Geth dove and remained beneath the water for a few minutes, until he returned to the surface, an excited gleam in his eyes.
"You have to see this, young one. Come!"
Maris watched the woman shift into a dragon, and then grabbed her rifle and headed for the cave's entrance.
"Well, I'm going to go find horse-boy, ask him why he left his wife get torn to pieces. But I'll be back in a couple of day if I don't find him."

Sasha raised her head to tilt it at Geth's excitement, "I'll go gladly... But I would like it if you'd stop calling me 'young one'... I may be young, but I'm not that young... Please?" she requested of him as she moved out into the water to join him, getting onto his back again.
"Show me what you found, Geth...," she said softly as she rested her cheek against his so that she'd be able to see what he saw at the same time he saw it.

Geth laughed,
"Take a very deep breath..."
He dove beneath the waters and quickly paddled his way to the opening near the reef, slinking the opening, making sure not to scrape Sasha against the walls of the tunnels. Bubbles escaped his nostrils as they continued through, finally emerging into a cavern beneath the lagoon, an island of smooth rocks in the center of it. Geth laughed as he climbed onto the island, letting Sasha down before shaking the water from his dark gray scales.
"Can you believe that this is here?"

Sasha gave a gasp as she looked around, loving the place immediately, "It's beautiful...," she said in an awed whisper as she paced around the small island of stone, enjoying the winking of crystals in the far walls that looked almost like stars on the horizon.
She so wanted to be able to fly over the water around them to take a closer look at what could be there, hated that she'd have to wait to fly or shift again until her wings healed.
But she said nothing about it, knowing she'd simply have to wait until she could.
Instead, she turned back to Geth and nuzzled him a bit, "Thank you for bringing me here... It really is beautiful...," she told him softly as she blinked her silver eyes up at him.

Geth let the female nuzzle him, watching the twinkling lights from crystals buried in the walls. He chuckled, impressed by the cavern. It certainly offered privacy, since few but a dragon could make a swim like that... and it was available to claim, since no water dragons had arrived... He made a pleased rumble in the back of his throat. Add some human amenities and it would be a nice little home...
"You're very welcome... To think about what formed this... It truly staggers the mind."

Sasha settled herself comfortably on the stone island and looked around the hidden cavern again, "It's better than the one I've been staying in... Why don't you claim it as yours? I doubt anyone will dispute it, especially since the entrance is actually pretty hard to find...," she suggested, knowing that in here, he'd have plenty of room to set up a nice home...
All she had was a fairly dark cavern with a water pool in the back fed from the waterfall, though she hadn't looked around the place too much in the last two weeks... But she could say that it had some nice stalactites and stalagmites in it...

"I am thinking of doing just that..."
Geth looked around the cavern, still admiring it. Then he looked down at the young dragon, admiring her as well. The iridescence of her scales was eye-catching, and the gray slashes didn't even mar her beauty. He cocked his head, eyeing her. He wanted to, but wasn't appropriate to pursue her- she had had the worst luck in the past few months, and it wasn't fair to add onto that. Not to mention that he had several centuries on her...
But he couldn't help but entertain the idea of her curled around a nest of eggs on the small island...

Sasha completely missed his look at her since her attention was on the far wall of the cavern that she couldn't see from here, "I wonder what the rest of the place actually looks like...," she commented as she tilted her head a bit at one particularly brightly shining crystal off to her right that really wasn't showing much of the area around it very well.
Her wings twitched a bit at her sides as she looked at it, the movement making her wince a bit and give a small hiss of pain. Then she turned her head to glare at her wings with a low growl, "I really hate this, you know... I can't even move them right now... And Ebony says they'll be months in healing, not weeks like the claw marks were...," she said softly, "Bane can't look after me for months... He feels bad enough as it is right now with me having to stay here instead of going back home...," she added, proving that she really hated to be such a burden on her father...
