Cryso hadn’t moved from her table. She was making too much bank from these mortals to stop now. The night was still young anyhow.

Grendel sighed in the Disciples ear. Oh, he was weak for Ravnos. Weak enough that he let the illusion that hid him from view drop away so that he would be revealed, though not in his full God form. Dark red and black hair was held back from his face in a long and intricately woven braid, and he was dressed in (slightly) nicer clothes than what he'd borrowed from Ravnos before. Letting his arms drop from around him, he stood up straight and move to the Disciples side. "You sound like you want to make a wager with me, Ravnos." he said, a drink appearing in the Gods hand, one that's liquid was a darker red than anything that was being served here. "I do have confidence in him. I have watched him. He is....resilient." He took a sip of his drink and continued to watch the ever-growing crowd within the mansion. It was nice to see so many coming together. He wondered when all hell would break loose.

That was better. Ravnos quirked an eyebrow while taking a sip of his own drink. “A wager? Oh well now that sounds like that could be fun.” His eyes lit up with mild amusement and excitement. The Disciple was always up for a wager. Especially if it was one he knew he could win. “What shall the wager be then, hm? And what does the winner get?” He tilted his head slightly at the God. A wide grin parting his lips allowing the tips of his fangs to show briefly. “I’m afraid he’s going to need more than resilience coming up against Zapathasura.” He chuckled.

Rocky lashed her tail. Eyes narrowing to slits as she stalked closer. If her aggression was obvious than people weren’t paying attention. It radiated off her like water and some of the mortals had a right mind to give her a wide berth “Lies drip from your mouth like puss from a Nos’ sores.” She growled. “What are you really?” Wether or not she really wanted to know was irrelevant. This strange smelling and looking vampire was really an insult to Rocky’s senses. Most shadow users stink but this one….this one set her skin to itching.

"You know, I sort of feel as if I've already given you enough." came the God's reply, his lips turned up in a small smirk. "What more could you possibly want from me?'His eyes followed Cassius as he conferred with his partner. "He is determined as well."

If Miyako's heart could beat, she expected it would be racing with anticipation when Kitrye took her portfolio. She waited for his judgement, though it was, it seemed, to be delayed--and perhaps it had been rude to approach him so directly during a party.
Still, it wasn't a no. So when he left, she relaxed a little, and turned to her mate with a smile.
"Well! I think that went...decently," she said.
And then, it came.
A darkness in the air. It made her tense, made her ears drop, made her clutch her portfolio tensely to her chest. She was, to say the least, not exactly the most favored kind of Caine's children, and even the whispered presence of Lilith made her feel...cold.
She scooted a little closer to her mate.

An expression of pleasure at the other woman's clear knowledge of how to respond to someone with a title (whether or not it was assumed, and that was the business of the Marquise and the Marquise alone, for the time being.) crossed Baydras' face, and she gave a polite head tilt of her own in return, acknowledging the other as worthy of her attention.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady de Conti. I do appreciate meeting someone who clearly has tastes that are... Refined." She offered her hand, a little languidly, but clearly intending it with respect. She hid the disappointment she had felt at the Presence that seemed to be gone, now, with all the practice of a courtier who knew that their secrets would be used against them, but oh she felt it, with a pang. It had felt like something that touched on their creator, perhaps their Creator's Lady. To her, it reminded her strongly of why their Lord had made them.
"Mmm I had no particular plans, not yet. I had only just arrived, after all, and wished to see who, and what, was on offer... After all, surely we would not wish to settle for entertainment or company that was... Less than refined, don't you think?" She spoke with a tone of light teasing and amusement, but in a way that indicated she intended no insult at all.

Ertéan smiled back at his beloved, not giving away the thought in his head that he should have asked her to wait to bring up such things until a later time, or perhaps another date. His intentions really had been to introduce them, and to begin the process of getting her known to those who knew, and mattered. But still, it was done as it had happened, and there was no use in recriminating either of them for something he had not realized she was not aware of.
"Decently, indeed. And now we enjoy this party. Be careful, dear one, not all are as gentle in this place as he was with you." He would never force her to stay close, after all. Mingling mattered, gave people the chance to see her talent and poise, and his creations. But he also would happily keep her close, watch over this crowd of dangerous folk with her at his side, that he might do what he could to aid his beauty.
And then he felt it... Felt a presence that made his head lift, and his eyes widen, a delighted and curious look in his eyes. Who had entered, brushed them all with their presence, and left? Oh but he could only hope it was one of Them, the Gods. They had all been so quiet, and tonight, tonight he felt them touching him.
It was divine, and if they were not at a party, he would have been sketching furiously, because visions of dresses with flowing pieces that gave the implication of tentacles without ever actually being them, in colors that flattered walkers of the night, danced behind his eyes... And then he felt his lady's motion closer, and he realized that perhaps she did not feel the same. He simply wrapped his arm around her waist, and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

“I suppose I do already have your undying devotion.” He mused. Pondering for a moment before he snapped his fingers. “A trip. You and me. It doesn’t matter where…we’ll ok it sort of does. But one where we’re not chasing after something.” He didn’t mind mixing business with pleasure but he preferred the latter more. Ravnos ran his claws through his long dark hair. “You don’t really know Zapathasura all that well.” He had faith that Cassius and Emppu would succeed somehow. But putting a wager on it seemed a lot more fun.

No, Grendel supposed he didn't know Zapathasura very well...or at all for that matter. He had a lot of vampires to watch over now, not just the clanless, but all of the clans as well. He couldn't possibly be expected to get to know them all on a personal level, especially not ones that wanted very little to do with him. "That sounds more like a prize for both of us." Grendel took a long drink of his wine, staring almost sadly into the depths of the cup when he was finished. "Did you feel her? If she's awake..." He didn't even really want to think about the implications of it, but he was going to have to, eventually. He hated his family. So much. Why did they always have to turn up and ruin his perfectly good time?

“Yes well you never stated what your prize would be. And I just figured hey why not something we could both enjoy. But if you think I should choose something else I can think of a few things.” He smirked into his cup. But the worry in Grendel’s voice caught him off guard. “I did.” Ravnos replied flatly. “Don’t you think if he was he would be here skulking about with her.” There was no love lost between Ravnos and Caine. He slipped an arm around Grendel’s waist and pulled him close. He couldn’t protect him. He wasn’t that powerful. Hell. He was surprised he hadn’t been smoten by now. Leaning in he rested his forehead against the other’s head. “Let’s not think about that right now.” Glancing at the door out of the corner of his eye he gave Grendel’s ear a quick nipS “Did you want to leave now? Had enough of being around the peons for tonight?”

Such a spirited dance had Endolynn's heart and soul in its grasp, quite willingly, and her natural inclinations were starting to surface. A little harmless flare would be fine, right? A shame she didn't think to wear any of her bells tonight but, in hindsight, it may have come across as garish...and she was having far too much fun at the moment to care. With a wave of her hands she enchanted a bit of light to play around her like sparkles as if there were crystals in the air. They moved with her as she spun and stepped about with calculated yet graceful footwork. Endolynn even added in some well-timed jumps and leaps in her dance, her body bending like flower in the breeze as her skirt billowed about her with each motion.
What had started as a partnered dance amidst a group of other dancers turned into an unintended performance of sorts on her part. She couldn't help it; she was simply in the moment, heart pounding with enjoyment. It had been some time since she'd enjoyed herself at a party like this.

He hated everything about this place. The lights. The noise. He felt like the walls would push in at any moment and trap him inside. Kale was a tall, muscular creature. He had little to fear from many yet the thought of being trapped in a place like this made him uneasy and agitated. His skin practically crawled. He'd been drawn here by the scent of other Gangrel. And if other Gangrel were willing to enter the halls of this estate he figured he might as well join them and understand why.
Hierarchy didn't mean s**t to the Gangrel. He was an Elder now but what did that honestly mean? He'd managed to not get stomped into dust longer than others. And he likely had some good stories. Maybe a trick or two. That was it to his own. He'd feel the same way about anyone on the food chain period. He wasn't here to play Clan.
The Beast didn't care about any of that either. It took you no matter how well you played the game. Which was why his normally cream colored pelt had tiny flecks of obsidian feathers dotting it, his eyes were more crow-like, and his wings larger now. Marks of frenzy. Those sharp, curved talons, like chunks of obsidian, were no longer something he could hide either.
He moved past the other vampires without so much as a second glance. His ears perked at a familiar voice. He knew that voice. Gruff, angry, ready to rend, it vibrated across the room. Rocky. Whoever was in her crosshairs he could tell she meant business. He hadn't seen her in years. Stepping up beside the other Gangrel he didn't say a word. He didn't try to stop her or to distract her. He merely waited to see. Truth be told she would either A. not recognize him, B. recognize him and lose interest in her prey, or C. not give a flying ******** about option A or B and continue in on the other Vampire. In all honestly he expected C. A humored smirk lifted the corner of his lips. Maybe this would be a decent party after all.

As the faucet flew towards him Amadeo took a sip of his drink. Listening as the Malkavian spun her tale. He smiled carefully. The clan had seen too deeply into the void. You don't come back from that. Nor do you set up residency. He believed heavily they were guilty of the latter. Nevertheless.. sometimes they provided you with useful information.
So, they still had the documents.
"What brutes indeed, Signora. Terrible to treat such a magnificent animal with such cruelty.. how fortunate to find such a loyal and strong Familia such as yours, no?" He half expected he was going to be assaulted by this sink faucet at some point. Amadeo had patience for decades. If there was one thing he had it was patience. If he had to wade through her sea of insanity to get what he wanted he would.
"The place where your Familia found this wallpaper did they find anything else interesting?"

It had been a very, very long time since anyone had challenged Dia Chela in any kind of way. She kept to herself mostly, amassing power amongst the Lasombra and quietly pulling the strings of various mortal villages to keep herself well supplied with blood. She had no need for conflict and hadn’t fought a physical battle in well over a hundred years. A lady, as she most certainly was, did not stoop to violence. That was for others to do in her name. But she had no allies here. Nobody to back her up except for her own skills. So when faced by the aggressive Gangrel, she found herself momentarily tongue-tied and trapped by the conflicting desires to either melt away into shadow and reach out and grab the upstart by the neck. She settled for putting a hand up to her cheek and finding her voice, giving a soft, “oh dear*. I’m surprised someone like you was even sent an invitation - or that you could even read it.” Her gaze was heavy-lidded. “Have you lost your handler, little kitten? You should think twice before demanding answers from a Lasombra.” By then the other Gangrel had slunk along to join them, this one with a sharp-eyed gaze of a bird of prey. Two against one. Mangy creatures, the lot of them. But she held herself steady, for after all, this was a party and she doubted the hosts would be pleased if a fight broke out. The veil of civility they had created for their guests could not be broken without punishment. -- (*Dia Chela in my head: ara ara)
