xx❈Wʜᴇʀᴇ Aᴍ I? Game Room xxx❈Wʜᴏ Is Wɪᴛʜ Mᴇ? Ruth, Kasamir, Adlai xxxx❈Wʜᴀᴛ's Gᴏɪɴɢ Oɴ? Adventurer's Guild! xxxxx❈Wʜᴀᴛ's Iɴsɪᴅᴇ Mʏ Hᴇᴀᴅ? Frank better make my rolls decent today... As Everly set down her dice cube, she then hefted up the minis transport case onto the table. Finally went the tube containing their rolled up maps and Frank, her personal dice storage. She listened as Kas said he wanted to GM, then glanced over at Addy as well. He was apparently curious about the group, so Everly figured it'd be a good learning opportunity. She clicked open the minis case as the first year asked if they got their own map and figure. "Yep. Like Ruth said, some games do. However, you'll usually get to make your own character. On the ones that do use the mini-figures, you can pick one from here, or others may have their own designated minis. You can also borrow a set of dice from this guy." She pat the big cube of dice, which rattled softly. "Here, if you want, you can even have your own set. Believe it or not, I've got more to spare. Let's see. I've got lots that are just fun colors, these ones have dinosaurs inside, this set has pigs, here's some with glitter... you can pick any of them and they'll be your set." She offered a grin, excited to help teach the next generation of roleplayers. It also served to help minimize the impact of her massively expensive collection of dice, but now that she knew how to handle resin... she could just make more!

Kasamir Aloysius Patrovna Slytherin │ Fifth Year │ Fifteen Years Old │ Single │ Chessmaster │ Slytherin Prefect │ Adventurer's Guild & Chess Club Captain
Kasamir was looking forward to Friday night, after dinner, as not only did it mark the official start of the weekend, but it meant the launch of the Adventurer’s Guild. When he started with the Guild he was a kid who only started gaming with his cousins as part of an escape from the physical and psychological pain of his recovery from the accident, with a small collection of Russian edition roleplaying books as a contribution to the group; now, he was running the Guild. Taking over from the graduating Levy sisters was a difficult proposition, as they’d done so much to grow the club, and now it was his turn to take up the quest.
As was usual for him, Kas had shucked his usual school clothes in favour of a more relaxed style, with his Russian Federation hockey team jersey, black pants and soft-soled leather moccasins. He had his school bag slung over his shoulder, containing his dices, books and papers needed to play tonight. One thing he set out was a thick notebook, the compilation of several years of research. His campaign world was based upon the myths of legends of the Rus and the Norse, with a background centered on a version of medieval Russia, a detailed bestiary and a fleshed-out cosmology of the ancient deities of the Rus and the Norse. He spent a goodly bit of time researching the region of Asia Minor and the Mediterranean during that time, including language and customs to create the Southern Marches, which by itself could become a sourcebook in its own right.
While he was planning to run his campaign world, along with a Traveller game, Kas was planning to give other members the chance to gamemaster as well, to build up the stable of GMs, so nobody got stuck running for an extended period and risk burnout and give everybody the chance to contribute. Kas had ideas for maybe publishing adventures, and possibly selling them through the Hobbit’s Hideout and commissioning MacDavis-Grey to create miniatures for the Guild, as he was impressed by the pewter Hobgoblin Legionnaires he turned out last year, as well as the character figures he created using bits and bobs from his kit.
As he had with the opening of the Chess Club, Kas took care to have a carafe of pumpkin juice at the sideboard along with snacks, nothing fancy, just an assortment of cookies and brownies. Medved was there, of course, as he liked having his canine companion there, and he was friendly enough. He wasn’t intending to get tucked into sort of game tonight; this was Session Zero, when everything started.

I, I'm a one-way motorway; I'm a road that drives away, then follows you back home I, I'm a streetlight shining; I'm a wild light, blinding bright, burnin' off and on
It's times like these you learn to live again; It's times like these you give and give agan It's times like these you learn to love again; It's times like these time and time again
I, I'm a new day rising; I'm a brand-new sky to hang the stars upon tonight I, I'm a little divided; Do I stay or run away and leave it all behind?

Kasamir Aloysius Patrovna Slytherin │ Seventh Year │ Seventeen Years Old │ Single │ Chess Grandmaster │ Slytherin Prefect & Head Student │ Adventurer's Guild & Chess Club Captain
Kasamir was looking forward to Friday night, after dinner, as not only did it mark the official start of the weekend, but it meant the launch of the Adventurer’s Guild. It was a bit different this time around. This would be the last Session Zero he would run as the Captain of the Guild, and somebody else would be called upon to take up the quest when he was done, just as he did when the graduating Levy sisters departed.
He liked to think he helped to grow the club as much as the Levy sisters had, by encouraging other members to try their hand at writing and running their own campaigns. He was getting ready to publish ‘Chronicles of the Rus’, his campaign based upon the myths of legends of the Rus and the Norse, with a background centered on a version of medieval Russia, a detailed bestiary and a fleshed-out cosmology of the ancient deities of the Rus and the Norse. The resulting volume, the distillation of several years of research, was large enough that he planned to release a second book concurrently, ‘Chronicles of the Rus- The Southern Marches’, encompassing the region of Asia Minor and the Mediterranean during that time, including languages and customs.
Aside from ‘Chronicles of the Rus’, was Castle Creations, the miniatures firm he set up with Finneas MacDavis-Grey. It grew from Finn’s creating miniatures from bits to sculpting designs. He also created ship and character miniatures for Kas’ long-running Traveller campaign. As a proof of concept, Finn was kind enough to sculpt a 100-millimeter scale figure of Hes. A fully painted miniature was set on Kas’ desk, while a second was slated to be a Christmas gift for her grandparents. Kas was sure this could become a cause for jealousy among the women in Hogwarts, after all, how many could claim their boyfriend arranged to have them immortalized in pewter?
That said, Finn was already hard at work doing a mockup of Rey …
As was usual for him, Kas had shucked his usual school clothes in favour of a more relaxed style, with his Russian Federation hockey team jersey, black pants, and soft-soled leather moccasins. He had his school bag slung over his shoulder, containing his dice, books, and papers needed to play tonight. Draped over a stand was his wolf cloak, while the scabbard of his sword hung below it. Many might assume they were cosplay items, unaware they were quite real and seen use.
As he had with the opening of the Chess Club, Kas took care to have a carafe of pumpkin juice at the sideboard along with snacks, nothing fancy, just an assortment of cookies and brownies. Medved was there, of course, as he liked having his canine companion there, and he was friendly enough. Tonight, he wasn’t planning to do more than see who showed up and plan who would run what. With luck, one of the brave adventurers would claim the role of Guild Master next year.
