"Do you honest to god have any other better ideas? Because CLEARLY chasing this thing half-way across the region thus far is working spectacularly." Freth said, calling Odd out.

"Walllll." Freth's Walrien then spoke. Freth took notice to the core and before she knew it, the treats were virtually taken en-mass. "Wallllllll..." The Walrien then mourned. All those treats, missing and now sacrificed futility to the Legendary Pokemon.

"...either this thing has one hell of an appetite together, or it lacks manners. Perhaps both." Freth then said. Another reason to perhaps have gave attention to the Zygarde while they still had the chance. "Well, I'm out of ideas. And...wait, isn't that way Lumiose? That...is not good."

"Waaaaalllll."

"Enough about the treats. Back in the ball."

------------------------

"The hell where she's shooting at?" I asked, looking up towards the arrow, ready to step aside to make sure it wasn't going to fall on me or Tristen. But then, what caught me off-guard is the massive flash that came from it. "GAAAH!"

"BLIZZ!!!" The two of us ended up having to turn away, trying to minimize being blinded as short as possible. Still caught a hard eye-full regardless.

"Blast it. Ok, regretting what I just said a minute ago." I said.

"You don't say!" Tristen chided in.

"Not now, Tristen!" When the two of us looked back up, Aile got distance on us, though still being able to be sensed for the time being. "Blast it..." I rubbed my eyes again for another few seconds, trying whatever I could to get my vision back, then back to the path ahead of me. "Tristen you better?"

"Blizz, hold on..." Tristen then spoke up. "Something worries me."

"What?"

"What Aile said a minute ago." He said. "Why would Aile betray us for a group she didn't like?"

She did say that just now. But then...It made me realize that she never before mentioned it until now. "...Tristen we might have some investigating to do." I said.

"Huh?"

"We're leaving Zygarde and Aile to the others. Let's go. We got work to do." I said, taking out my SNAG and calling Freth.

----------------

Back at the Zygarde induced chaos, Freth gets a ring on her SNAG.

"Blizzard, we got problems here, where are you?" Freth then asked.

"We were about to catch up, but had a run in with Aile. Tristen and I actually had a bit of insight on something to, something that Aile may not have meant to have lead on. Tristen and I are pulling out of this. We're about to try to bust this thing wide open."

"Oh. Great. Just what we needed."

"Freth, sorry, I know. But sometimes its best to get the long term victories where you can get them. I'll see you soon."

The transmission ended, leaving Freth sighing with frustration. "Of all the timing." She said, rushing off towards Zygarde.

The wave would quickly stream towards where Clara had laid her attempted trap and flew into the divot in the ground. Unfortunately, sheer momentum and amount did not keep the cells and cores inside the trap, instead the cells began to push each other out before the final ones were towed out by the cells in the lead and their inherent bit of stickiness. However, this left two things in the trap: Aria and Allen's Magby. While the others were distracted, the cells would continue to stream forward, rapidly closing towards what appeared to be Lumiose City.

"Alright we have to keep an eye on this thing." Darts offers, waving his arm as he bounds off after the stream of cells. His wings would spring into existence and he would gratefully bound outside and back into the sun as he tried to shake the worst of the chill from his body as he follows the stream off towards the city again. Polar climates never again.

Aile might be surprised to see that Cera didn't try to chase her. She didn't even respond to what was said. Instead, the Mew was stunned, Aile's words providing a verbal slap to the face that, if only for a brief moment, actually gave a bit of clarity. At the very least, she had to admit that Aile was right; she didn't know anything about the situation at hand, and even now, she wasn't about to read minds unless it became a necessity. For that brief moment, she could tell that maybe she was a shade wrong about what she had assumed the whole time, along with an inkling that maybe she really had lost it on some level.

She wouldn't have the time for everything to fully sink in, her stunned pause allowing the flashbang arrow to blind her and snap her out of her thoughts. She screamed as she covered her eyes, and while she'd recover after a bit, she couldn't bring herself to keep after Aile. Something about it didn't feel right, even though she didn't trust her one bit. The idea of going through with killing her where she stood had immediately become so horrifyingly wrong that it disgusted her, making her resist an urge to just throw up at her own thoughts.

Floating there for another moment, she'd finally get her bearings back as everything became less bright. She could see the others, let alone the green mass that had been chased this whole time. Then, she saw Clara and became hesitant all over again. Was her decision to go turncoat of her own volition or not? Or was there some other reason for it? She knew that she couldn't answer the questions on her mind now, not at a time like this. Still, they looked to be heading towards Lumiose City...

A light groan could be heard as she reluctantly went to reunite with the others on the chase, taking off for the city.

Seeing that not even a bag of treats was enough to keep a Zygarde still, Amaranth found herself rushing over to Breeze as soon as she could move again. Hopping onto the Togekiss' back, she prepared to have her fly off after the cells and into Lumiose, glancing at Clara for a second beforehand. "Um... sorry!" She said before taking off, unsure if there was a good reason to have had Breeze attack her and her Tyrantrum in the first place. Or to apologize for attacking, for that matter. It was best to cover all bases, just in case.

Odd shrugged at Freth. "I'm not saying not to trying something. Just that I doubt it'll be that simple, either. These creatures seem to be fairly single minded. I'm assuming that, whatever they're after, they're not going to stop until they get it, whether we try to play with it or give it treats or anything else." He replied, trying to analyze what was happening. There was no point in losing all of their level-headedness. So far they hadn't done any damage to anything other than the wall of a frozen cave.

"Think about this. We've done more damage than they have just by chasing them. If we weren't after them, they'd likely be moving more carefully. From what Lykas has been able to find, Zygarde seems to protect the environment. You think it would destroy it willfully unless it was forced into a hurry?" He asked her before pulling out his hoverboard and jumping on.

"He makes a good point, actually." Lykas said as he pulled up the research materials he'd found in SNAG. It looked like he could access certain parts of GRAY's database on Legendary Pokemon, including the pages in the PokeDex feature. With that, he released Sphynx, his Luxray and jumped onto her back. "Magnet Rise, then follow the green goo." He directed, shivering slightly as he felt the wave of electromagnetism wash over him along with the Electric-type before she bolted off, defying gravity in order to more effectively avoid obstacles.

Gunning the board into it's highest gear, Odd sped off and tried to catch up with the Zygarde cell swarm. He'd try one last attempt to communicate something they might like to hear. "I'm sorry we didn't give you the attention you deserved when you were with us. But let us show it to you now. Let us help you!" He offered to the collective, hoping they would, perhaps, be willing to let the group help them. "We just don't want you to hurt yourself in this state." He assured the legendary Pokemon. Would it work, highly unlikely. But at least it was an attempt at something.

Lykas followed behind, waiting to catch him and anyone else that might need it. Along the way, he'd snatch up Aria and pull her onto the feline's back with him. "Looks like you could use a lift." He told her as he picked her up. He didn't intend to ignore Clara but he also hadn't realized she was gone. He never saw her around HQ so he didn't even know she wasn't there and assumed she had come along to help.

Keiko kept her eyes shut when the flashbang hit, but she was able to catch most of Blizz and Tristen was saying. She also caught Rein's monologue, which left her a bit torn about what to do.

Eventually, she picked up her SNAG as well. "Terashi, I need your help!"

Fortunately, Rala was able to keep her senses about her. "I'm well aware. Chase after Rein. I'll help Blizz as best I can." Just as well, I couldn't help but feel that Zygarde was dragging us along, and I wasn't sure I wanted to know why.

"Right," Keiko agreed, putting away her SNAG before chasing after Rein. I had Rala teleport myself to her so we could both chase after the Articuno hybrid.

Clara would blink as the failed rush would stop via slime right in front of her. Her brows would slope backwards "No don't be sorry. But I've been lost looking for you guys. I'm not a turncoat!" The girl pleaded, "I'm just a crappy drunk!"

Clara would fight breaking down in front of everyone, she definitely felt the awkwardness left from the snagems. Sucking it up she would kick Gabes side as she brace herself as her beast kicked it into full gear chasing the slime.

A bright flash off to the side of where the Zygarde swarm was overrunning Clara drew Isaac's attention. Grateful for his vantage point from atop his Noivern, directed Konrad to change directions. "The rest of the group can handle Clara, let's check out what that was." As the pair soared over the area in question the confrontation between Aile and Rein unveiled itself. Isaac was just about to intervene in the fight when two things caught his attention. First and foremost were Blizzard and Tristen, who seemed to be leaving the fight and headed off to somewhere else. The second was Rein's shouted comment about broken machines, which irritated Isaac's pride as an engineer and scientist. Raising an eyebrow, he shook his head at the pair beneath him. "A hard smack," he murmured to himself, "You don't realize how far outclassed you are, do you?" With a grunted chuckle, he withdrew his SNAG, sparing a glance at the purple Master Ball stashed within his lab coat, before typing out a quick message for the retreating hybrid pair.

At the entrance to Lumiose City, a somewhat rotund Flare Grunt would glance down the road towards Dendemille Town, attempting to discern what it was that was coming towards him and his partner. Turning towards the more gangly of the pair, he asked, "So, uh, like, do you see that weird bit of moving grass?" His voice came out high pitched and uncertain, the Grunt slowly reaching for a Pokeball as he continued to watch. "Well, we did get that call from the team about something. Maybe that actually meant something?" The taller Grunt spoke more nasally to his compatriot, watching the moving mass as it began to slowly gain more definition. Then a thought would cross the first Grunt's mind. "Wait, if we got a call and that's already coming this way, we aren't going to stop it. How about we just, uh, duck out of its way, call it in, and stop anyone who chases it?" The gangly one turned to see the ground was now a sea of green cells with eyes aimed towards them. Without a word, the two grunts would dive off the road with yelps as the Zygarde cells began to rumble through the city.

"Uh, command. We found the Zygarde cells. They are now in the city." The fat Grunt mumbled from the ground, Holo Caster open as the Flare receptionist stared at the torn up ground that used to be Route 16. "Activating Teleport Scrambler now and sending backup. You two alright to hold the fort there?" "Just peachy." The other grunt groaned out, the pair slowly standing as they saw the wave of Snagems coming after the Zygarde cells. "Halt! In the name of the government, we demand you stop." The fat Flare Grunt yelled at them as he threw out a Pangoro, his partner releasing a Vivillon to throw up a Light Screen over the entrance to the town to halt their approach.

Aira would glance at the pair from Luxray she was now riding, blinking at the pair. "Uh...well, this might be the worst time for a traffic stop ever." She snarked, patting herself down in an effort to find her Pokeballs. She had had the things a minute ago, now where were they?

----

Meanwhile, in Dendemille Town, Leslie would run into the city limits huffing as she tried to catch her breath. Was she allowed to use Pokemon for transport yet or was this still a stealth mission? She didn't know and she wouldn't be the one to break their cover if it was.

Aile turned around and blinked rapidly when she noticed Cera returning to the main group and Blizz and Tristan going off their own way, not even rejoining the other Snagems. “What di- Merde. I need to watch my tongue. That’s one thing I really need right now, more people involved in my personal life,” she muttered before noticing Rein coming in with his Murkrow and Golbat, once more feeling the effects of Quash. “Okay, this is getting old. Honestly, the Chateau? You lot made out quite well actually, I should be getting revenge on you all for taking Regirock. All I managed to get was the cell holder. And you’ve heard my entire story? Doubtful. Don’t take me for a one Pokemon trainer, either.” Two more Pokeballs came out, revealing her Excadrill and Nidoking. “Let’s deal with this whole Quash situation once and for all. Voort, Smack Down! Eisley, Rock Throw!”

The Excadrill would laugh as he began to dig up small boulders from the ground, throwing them at the two flying types. The Nidoking snorted at Eisley’s show of force as he stomped on the ground, using rock energy to bring up a flattened boulder of his own. He then threw it up in a high arc, letting both gravity and the Quash field Murkrow was emanating to bring the stone down hard onto the crow.

“Now, I’ll give you both a chance to go catch back up with the Snagems,” Aile offered, noting Keiko following after Rein. “I have no personal qualms with either of you, though it’s wearing thin with one. Zygarde’s heading to Lumiose, so they’ll probably need as much help as they can get.” The woman turned to the direction of Lumiose, pressing a button on the side of her goggles again that allowed the transparency to go back to normal, the woman’s eyes becoming visible once again through her goggles. One interesting thing of note would be that there were a few what appeared to be small boxes riddling the lenses momentarily, though they disappeared quickly as she turned back to the small group of Snagems congregating in front of her. And above, apparently. Her gaze would turn upwards as she saw a Noivern above, with what appeared to be Isaac as the rider. What got her now is why he didn’t attack yet, while Rein was more than willing to go in recklessly, with little thought or insight to his opponent. She shook her head though as her sight locked back onto Rein. “However, do not make the mistake of thinking I’m an easy target. I haven’t been coddled by my growing up as nobility most of my life.” An arrow would be pulled from her quiver once again, though not nocked onto the string yet.

Keiko released Natalia as soon as she caught up with Rein, teleporting the two trainers along with any pokemon Rein had out away from Aile's eyeshot and earshot.

"Before you say anything," Keiko said, trying to catch Rein's attention once they were safely away from the traitor. "Team Flare sent Aile to distract us. She's just a decoy. So any time we spend on her is going to make things worse for the rest of the team."

Of course, Keiko was lying, but Rein had no way of knowing that, and this was the easiest way to talk him out of attacking someone who was vastly superior as a trainer than he was.

"Come on, we need to stop Zac from destroying Lumiose City," Keiko added, letting Natalia perch on her arm before having the Psychic-type teleport them back to the team.

Isaac's message would get responded, though it would take a few minutes.

Quote:
I know Aile is around; she's the reason why I'm backing off. She got Tristen's and my attention on something and we're going to investigate on it. We're pulling out to take care of it. Freth is still staying around though, and she knows that I'm pulling out too. I'll spill more details, specifically what I find out, later when I get back to HQ, because whatever I find out, I'm pretty sure Sub is probably going to want to know too.

It was a message hopefully Isaac would be happy with, leave the situation alone, and focus on dealing with Zygarde.

In the meantime, Freth was still rushing after the Zygarde. They made it into the city, much to her dismay. The last thing she needed was Abbot and Costello up ahead trying to stop her. A light screen wasn't going to stop what she had in mind. "Mamoswine!" Freth called out, tossing the Pokeball forward, releasing the massive beast. "Full speed ahead! Take Down!"

The Mamoswine then charged straight for the blockade. Who feels like a game of chicken?

Keiko had succeeded on arriving near Rein, but when she made the teleport to leave, something interesting would occur. Namely, they didn't seem to move so much towards where they had been intending as they did just suddenly appear five feet in the air above where they had just been. Guess that Scrambler was working now.

"Keiko we can't teleport, go help the others this...Thing has become a thorn in my side I simply refuse to go down without a fight, Murkrow get ready with a heatwave in which i know your strong enough to take a rock to the throat, Golbat steady yourself and dodge that rock if you can that is, and bring out the sun with sunny day then fallow it up with mean look on excadrill." A bright light begun to form in The chipped winged golbats mouth raising its head up to the sun the bring it out to make it hotter around the area, powering up fire type moves whilist draining water type attacks fallowing that a pair of gaping eyes appeared before excadrill hopefully in time to not let it escape. "Deino, Litwick why dont you both come out and play too Deino dark pulse on excadrill, litwick use your own on the nidoking."

As the pokeballs opened and flashed both the fire and dragon type started gathering necrotic chi one from the flame and another from the mouth blasting the two beams towards both pokemon as the injured dark type "k.." it couldnt speak but still the murkrow executed its heatwave soon after . " If it was just me, I'd blow lumiose city to smithereens but i have a reputation to keep, I've been waiting for this." He turned his eyes toward isaac giving him a grunt then back toward the battle at hand.

He asks the pair of grunts on the other side of the defensive barrier He takes a gilt fist and knocks a couple of times on it, watching the vibrations travel along the surface as he does so. "Hey guys. I give you all an A for effort but like... seriously? What is a piece of plexiglass like this going to do in keeping anyone out? Particularly me." He runs a hand up and down to indicate his hybridized body. "They sending you guys to community college or something nowadays?" He knocks on it again, before stepping back, pantomiming like he was going to smash his fist straight into it and then vanishes out of existence like a shadow fading away from being exposed to the light.

Keiko screamed as she fell, but it was only five feet so it didn't hurt THAT much. However, Rein seemed to have ignored her completely. He did respond to her request, but had no intention of leaving Aile alone.

"Rein, you have a pokemon that evolved once and an unevolved pokemon. Those two pokemon are fully evolved - you don't really stand a chance. Come on, the others need help, and there's not much I can do to help them by myself." Keiko begged, trying desperately to get Rein to back off.

Meanwhile, Rala teleported to me just fine, but her attempt to teleport me to Blizz and Tristan failed miserably. I tried to get her to sense where they were at so we could travel there by hoverboard, but that failed, also. With no other course of action, I rejoined the Snagems tracking down the green Zac cells.

((I imagine sensing Pokemon energy is something all Pokemon can do. There are instances of this happening in the anime, although I try not to use that as a source most of the time...))
