Zak rolled his eyes at Cyrus' complaining about his shirt. He waited until Scarlett was out before he brought his focus onto the man. Apparently he wasn't the only one planning to hack in to quench a curiosity, but for now, that wasn't the topic he wanted to address. He gave Cyrus a slight shove towards the counter, stepping after him to try and back him up to the bar. "You're being stupid again, Cy," he started in a very low voice, his accent rolling through his voice like foreboding thunder, "A blastoise as strong as yours... You're lucky she listens to you at all. If I were her..." He leaned in, eyes narrowing. "I'd probably just crush you."
He straightened up, drawing back a bit with a sneer on his face. "So I'm going to take her off your hands for you," he stated, and quickly held up a hand, to cut Cy of if he intended to say anything, "But I'll make you a deal. You get some badges and prove yourself capable, I'll let you keep her. However, you'll have to do more than just get the badges. I'm going to give you some extra pokemon-- you'll have to train them, too. If you don't, and you don't get your badges... I'll take them all back." His sneer turned into a scowl. "And leave you with very little left. In case you were wondering... this has no influence on our little 'deal' we just made, either. This is just because you don't deserve a pokemon as strong as ze von you have somehow acquired..."
By the end of it, his pronunciation was slipping, but he was fairly sure no one was paying attention, let alone cared. Except, hopefully, Cy. He had better have been paying attention...

Cyrus was too preoccupied with deleting his texts and worrying about Zak's proximity to even catch the red head's comment as she left. He stumbled a bit as Zak shoved him back towards the bar. The short thief cringed as Zak pretty much got right to the lecture. He leaned back against the bar counter as the taller male leaned in towards him, flinching away a bit. It was a very uncomfortable situation for him, just like any other time he was getting a custom lecture from Zak. He may be older than the Russian, but... he was very intimidating. Though his eyes had wandered about as if looking for an exit, he knew there was no way to escape this. It would only likely make things more... violent.
"But I n-" Cyrus started to object as Zak said he was going to take Rita away from him, but he cut off as soon as the russian held up a hand. The dark skinned male listened as Zak gave him a deal in great detail. If you could even call that a deal. That was so much work! Not that... he didn't know how to train pokemon and whatnot... he just felt it wasn't worth his time. Knowing how Zak is, though, there was no way out of this kind of deal. He was a bit miffed that he was going to be given some pokemon that he was being charged to train on top of getting more badges. This was so unfair! Did it really matter that much whether he actually trained or got badges? He dealt in thievery and peddling stolen goods. Before he could interject with a complaint, Zak continued on with a more threatening tone. Cyrus shrank back as much as he could at this point. He was too worried about the possibility of Zak leaving him with nothing to be too concerned about this having nothing to do with the deal that he just made to get his phone back.
"U-understood..." he told the Russian after he was done. Damn it. He supposed he'd better get back to Kanto soon to try and get more badges... unless... maybe he could just go get all the easy badges from all the regions. That might work... "Just please tell me you aren't going to make me train magikarp... I'd so rather not deal with that mess again..." he grumbled, looking off to the side. One of his earlier assignments from Imperium - well, actually, it was a prank - ordered him to train up a full party of magikarp. It was definitely not a fond memory at all.

Meanwhile, in Cyrus' phone... Virus was having a grand old time, flitting about through the data in his trainer's phone. There was even some new, freshly deleted texts that he received - he had set it up so that all deleted messages would go to him. Most of the time they were just boring things that he'd just drop from the system completely, but today, he got a delicious little text from someone that seemed to be acquainted with his trainer. "Ohohoho~ Cy-cy can't handle that kind of heat, huh~" Virus chimed to himself as he kept reading over the same text. It was so corny. so cheesy. so dirty. Virus couldn't help but love it! He tucked it away in his own personal system before making his bouts in the data of Cyrus' communicator. Maybe he'd go surf the internet again... Wait. He could feel another's presence! "Intruder! Intruder! Intruder!" Virus cried out, shuffling about to find the source. Low and behold, it was a foreign PorygonZ! "O-oh my~ I wasn't expecting company!" he exclaimed, zipping right over to the intruder. "Please... be gentle..." he told the other in a soft, breathy voice.

Cypher relaxed when he noted that Virus didn't seem to mean any harm, and took his comment on being gentle as the porygon thinking he was going to attack. Admittedly he'd been prepared for and expecting a fight, but he wasn't going to fight if Virus wasn't planning to attack. "I have no plans to harm you. I do however, wonder if you might be able to assist me. I am looking for texts through this device that were received within the past half hour, likely deleted." Well, at least it wouldn't be a magikarp. Cyrus knew better than to be relieved when Zak paid the drinking tab. Sure enough, his arm was grabbed and he was pulled out of the bar by the taller man. Argo circled overhead as he made it out of the bar, Rita and Perse in the distance. The short thief looked over at the pokemon that Zak indicated. It was what seemed to be a Fletchinder picking through some trash. "Ugh... really? That one?" he complained, but of course, Zak definitely meant it, so he approached the trash picking Fletchinder. While Zak went to the pokecenter, Cyrus busied himself with the little fire bird. "Seriously... why should i take this one? It seems to be where it belongs." Cyrus grumbled to himself, looking down at the bird that was too busy picking at some scrap fries to notice he had come up close to it. He kicked a ball of paper trash at the bird, only jumping back as it caught fire upon touching the bird. "Peepeeeepeeeep!" it chirped indignantly, little flickers of flame spreading to the other trash. Oh great. The bird just had to make a scene, huh? Cyrus pulled out a ball and chucked it at the bird's head. In a flash, the pokemon disappeared into the ball, and it clicked without issue. However, there was still the problem that there was fire spreading about the trash. "Dammit! Argo, do something!" Cyrus shouted as some flickers of flame caught on the edge of his pants. The wingull squawked questioningly. However, help came from elsewhere. A blast of water shot out at Cyrus and the trash, knocking the dark skinned male off of his feet and soaking him to the skin. Well, the fire was out. Rita was snickering nearby, having been the one to shoot water at her trainer. Which earned quite a glare from Cyrus. Who was looking pretty much like a cat that was just dunked in water. At least the damn bird was captured. He shoved the ball into his bag. "That bird is full of pepper. I think she's a good match for you." Perse commented, amused by the display. =====

3/3 Movement | 67/5 Pokemon Encounter | 33/15 Trainer NPC | Item Bumps: 4/10 Heart Scale | Need to Claim: TM of Choice | Wishlist: Expert Belt x2, Heart Scales, Lagging Tail, Metal Coat Team OOB: Cypher continued to make little movements, back, sideways, diagonal. It felt like a chess match between two kings. Every move Virus made, Cypher countered, though he clearly wasn't afraid or uncomfortable. It felt more like he was moving more because he was programmed to keep his space from anything foreign, as natural as breathing. As they continued their hovering little dance, Cypher explained what he was looking for, and Virus seemed to know exactly what text in particular. Though he seemed to want some information in return. Cypher wasn't sure how he felt about that. He did have a lot of information, and he did have a concern for Scarlett's safety, so the fact that Virus was scanning over his withheld information made him nervous.
Well that was, until he asked for an old picture of Scarlett. One from the older, more risqué days of his trainer's youth where money was more of a necessity than modesty. He was sure Scarlett wouldn't object to the exchange, but personally Cypher felt odd about it. "Very well, I shall transfer the photo data in exchange for the text." Cypher agreed. Once the transfer was complete, Cypher checked over the text to see if it met all of Scarlett's qualifications. In the right time frame, deleted, likely embarrassing enough to the recipient that Scarlett could use it for blackmail or torturing in general. "I do believe this is what my master is looking for. You have my gratitude. Enjoy your.... Picture." He couldn't help but hesitate when making his remark, rather keen on leaving quickly before the porygon started doing anything else weird. Cypher exited the communicator quickly and flew into a nearby lamp to conceal himself again while Cyrus was busy catching a Flechinder and grumbling about getting soaked by his blastoise. Cypher then quickly made it into the pokemon center and hovered through the doors, though upon entering, he ended up face to face with none other than Zak. Cypher backpedaled a bit, blinking in surprise, but afterwards he zipped rather quickly and suddenly around the russian, making a beeline for Scarlett's room and disappearing inside.

"Arceus Cy, ya had me all excited there far a minute. How disappointin." Scarlett chuckled. "Apologies captain, but might I suggest you lock your door? We might have unwanted company on my tail." Scarlet gave Cypher a curious look but moved out of bed to do as he suggested. "Ya run into trouble are somethin' Cy?" She asked, making to lock the door. "Not exactly.... I happened upon that russian speaking fellow when I made my way into the center, and he saw me. I am certain of it, but I am not sure if he plans to follow or not." Scarlett gave a snort. "Oh, pfsh.... Is that all? Ya had me concerned there far a second." She laughed, unlocking the door again and making her way back to the bed. "If he wants t' come in, by all means, let 'im." She grinned. "I could use the entertainment." She insisted. "Captain, I do not mean to question your judgement, but I feel that you are no longer taking the threat he poses under consideration. Scarlett quirked a brow. "Well what was he doing in the center, could you tell?" She asked curiously. "Well, we crossed paths at the doorway, so I would assume he was leaving, though seeing me might possibly change his mind." Scarlett only grinned. "Heh. You know what I think? I think you worry too much Cy." She said teasingly, brushing her fingers down his snout. Cypher shook it off, vibrating his body in the way a bird would shake water off it's feathers. "Very well Captain. If you don't feel that it is necessary to take precaution, I cannot change your mind." Cypher almost seemed to sigh, puttering away to hover near the door and stand guard. Scarlett simply smiled and rolled her eyes. Honestly she was more concerned about Zak kidnapping and dissecting Cypher than her own life, but she doubted Zak would have a reason to do that tonight. Zak didn't take long to sweep through the pokecenter and pluck the pokemon from his PC. While he did, he went ahead and withdrew the Mudkip and Rufflet that Apollo had sent him. He smirked as he put the pokeballs away, noting that he would really have to find a way to thank the blond. He turned and made his way back towards the doorway, coming to a stop as a porygon-z abruptly met him face to face. He stared at it with a frown, but then stepped back as it zoomed past, looking back at it. Hm... He quirked an eyebrow, wondering if that had been Scarlett's porygon. He knew it wasn't Virus, at least. He wasn't that fully evolved, and his coloring was strange, if he recalled correctly.
Turning ahead, he shook the thought off and refocused his attention on the task at hand, striding out. He spotted Cyrus, catching him just as he seemed to be irritably shoving a pokeball in his bag. "Did you catch ze pokemon?" he asked, shoving the other pokeball at the man, staring at him with a very narrowed, piercing stare. It wasn't long before Zak approached, at which point the very wet thief picked himself up off of the ground, only to get a pokeball thrusted at him. "Yeah, i caught the stupid fletchinder." he grumbled, looking at the ball that Zak had shoved at him. "What is it?" he questioned. He wasn't really in the mood for any surprises. Cyrus was wet and miserable and just wanted to get some dry clothes.

Zak frowned, folding his arms over his chest as he stared down at Cyrus, watching him pick himself up. Pitiful... Seriously, how did you even get that soaked fighting a little bird?"Show me," he demanded, gesturing with one hand for Cyrus to release the pokemon and prove it. He frowned disapprovingly as Cyrus asked what pokemon he gave him, but finally dropped his arms, sneering a bit as he placed one hand on his hips. "An omanyte, so treat et vell," he drawled. Maybe it was a mistake giving him another water pokemon-- or maybe it was him trying to make a point of some sort. Most likely it was just one he knew he wouldn't be able to get to for a while yet.
And as much as he wanted to taunt Cyrus for getting himself drenched, he didn't really want to waste time at the moment.

Cyrus was wringing out his sleeves when Zak demanded to see the damn bird. "Fine, jeeze..." he grumbled, reaching and and grabbing the ball. Unfortunately, when the pokemon was released, it immediately started to peck at his head, peeping angrily. "Ow! There! Happy?" Cyrus grimaced, trying to fend the bird off with one arm while he returned it to it's ball with the other hand. Rita couldn't help but let out a snort of laughter at her trainer's misfortune with the new bird. Cyrus sent her a glare of disapproval. Then Zak told him it was an Omanyte that he was handing over and expecting him to train. Seriously? Jeeze. A fossil pokemon. They weren't really notorious for being easy to train. "Noted. If that's all, I'll be on my way." Cyrus stated.

Okay, that was funny. Zak finally broke his intimidating, somber look with a smirk of amusement as Cyrus was attacked by his own pokemon. That was even beter than he could have imagined; now he had another pokemon to train, and one that was fittingly abusive. Cyrus deserved to have his pokemon bite back some. Zak couldn't imagine he treated them very well. Not that he cared, he wasn't a sympathizer, but Cyrus was enough of an a** that some karma going his way benefited pretty much everyone else, if only for the amusement factor.
"Da, fine," he agreed, giving a dismissive wave. He let the smirk die down, crossing his arms again, and then scoffing. "I vill be checkeng in," he drawled back simply in response, striding off. He needed to find his own pokemon... And, that reminded him. He pulled out his communicator, initially intending to start hacking Cyrus', but quirked an eyebrow when he saw he had a message. From Apollo.... A grin crossed his face as he read it. Another pokemon, for him? Oof... He was really going to owe him,at this rate. He sent a reply, then paused to pull up his tech gear, quickly starting the software on hacking into Cyrus' systems. With that done, he went to go find his own pokemon.

3/3 Movement | 70/5 Pokemon Encounter | 36/15 Trainer NPC | Item Bumps: 7/10 Heart Scale | Need to Claim: TM of Choice | Wishlist: Expert Belt x2, Heart Scales, Lagging Tail, Metal Coat, Roman Candle Team OOB: Scarlett slept long into the day, absolutely worn out from the late night antics she'd pulled with Zak and Cyrus. Not to mention the alcohol had absolutely knocked her out. Scarlett awoke on her stomach mid snore, a bit groggy, but it was a good kind of groggy, a sleepy daze of a good nights sleep. She arched her back to stretch out like a purloin that had just awoke after a nice nap in the sun. Yes, she was well rested and awake, but felt no need to jump out of bed just yet. "Hahh.... Hn... What time is it....?" Scarlett muttered aloud to herself, glancing at the clock on the nightstand next to her bed. 10:47am. Damn, she'd slept a lot longer than she'd meant to, but she supposed that was what happened when she downed a few shots of scotch at a bar before going to bed. Scarlett gave a wide yawn and rolled over onto her back, realizing that she was still cuddling Luna in her arms. Though there seemed to be another furry presence among her bed.... Surprisingly enough, it was Nala. Scarlett raised her eyebrows in honest surprise. The little lioness hadn't seemed to like her all that much, though at the moment she looked pretty content while curled up against her. Scarlett smiled, stroking the fur on her back gently before sitting up. Nala's eyes flickered open at the contact, seeming rather content with it until she realized who it was, and then promptly leapt off the bed, nose high and haughty in the air. Scarlett rolled her eyes with a light smile. What a little drama queen. It was okay though, Scarlett loved her all the same. "Good morning captain." Cypher greeted. "Mm... Mornin'." Scarlett mumbled, rubbing her eyes. Arceus she was hungry.... "Cy, would ya be a doll and get us some breakfast? Dot, why don't you help him..." Scarlett suggested, glancing over to the solosis who'd just started to wake up as well. She held no complaints it seemed, hovering over to Cypher so that they could go off together.
With breakfast handled, Scarlett started thinking about her next move. She needed to train more before she hit Pastoria gym, that was for certain. At first she was going to stop by the ruins on the way over, but her sidetracking to Unova had not only steered her off course, but brought a new plan in mind. Other gyms, other gym badges. It would provide decent experience for her less trained pokemon, not to mention Zak had done the same thing. Frankly she was a little annoyed she hadn't thought of it first. The good news was she was already in a new region. The bad news was, the first badge she could get was in Striaton City, which was awfully far of a walk. It was starting to look like she needed to call in Skye for another ride... Sighing, Scarlett pulled up her xtransceiver and dialed the pilot's number. The device rang for a moment, before finally crackling, indicating that the line had been picked up. "Miss me already dollface?" Skye's amused voice spoke from the other end of the receiver, and Scarlett chuckled. "Who wouldn't?~" Scarlett teased. "Now don't go trying to butter me up, it always works. What'cha need this time?" He asked, getting right to the point. "Why d'ya assume that every time I call, I need a favor? What if I just wanted t' hear your voice?~" She flirted. "Well did ya?" He asked. "No, I need a ride to Striaton City." She admitted, and Skye's laughter on the other end made her grin. "Case an' point hun, but sure, I think I can manage. I'm kinda in the middle of somethin' now though, do ya mind givin' me half an hour?" He asked, and Scarlett hummed thoughtfully before answering. "Oh alright, but only because I like ya." She smirked. Really that worked out well as far as her schedule was concerned, after all she still needed to eat and freshen up. "Heh. See ya in a few." Skye's amused voice reassured her before hanging up.

Starving and ready to chow down, Scarlett let out the rest of her team to let Cypher and Dotty dole out the bowls of food while Scarlett wasted no time digging into her own meal. She ended up finishing much faster than the rest of her pokemon, so while they ate, she hopped out of bed, figuring she might as well make herself look somewhat presentable. She showered, combed her hair, brushed her teeth, and redressed. By the time she'd finished, so were her pokemon, so she returned them all except for Rave, she was the only one who would be able to tag along anyways. She left the center just in time too, since not long after she saw Skye above on his fearow. "Heyyy! There you are, and to think I was about to give you a ring." Skye suggested, landing beside Scarlett and allowing her to climb up. "Skye, ya flatter me, but 'fraid I'm just not the marryin' kind." Scarlett teased, and Skye snorted. "You're sure in good spirits today eh?" Skye mused. "Hmm.... I guess you could say that, yeah~" Scarlett agreed with a sly smile, which Skye returned in kind as they took off. "Hey there, I know that look. What's going on with you eh?" He glanced at Scarlett back over his shoulder with wild amusement. "Nunyabuisness, that's what." Scarlett replied lightly. "Oho, I see how it is." Skye's amusement only seemed to grow. "What's it with women and secrecy?" Scarlett only snorted in response. "Oh don'cha be actin' like ya haven't had your fair share o' secrets." Scarlett pointed out, proding Skye's side accusingly. "Ahaha, easy there, don't you know better than to mess with the driver?" Sky objected, but Scarlett only rolled her eyes. "Please, if you can't handle a little poke here and there, you aren't the ace flyer I thought you were." She smirked. "Awright, ya got me, I'm just dodging the question." Skye admitted. "Mm, s'what I thought." The two continued to converse in a similar fashion as the ride continued, and they were off.
