Sebastian was ecstatic. After the hordes of horrific little Stunky, he’d finally caught the pokemon he’d come here for. He eyed the pokeball happily, the grin his face unnecessarily gleeful to the point that at least two of his four out of ball pokemon were concerned.
Not Dice though. Having not had the chance to completely best the Eevee, his attention had diverted elsewhere, spotting another Emolga hiding in a nearby tree. He toddled over to the tree, smacking it with his club and startling the Emolga out before giving a little roar and charging the thing to attack.

Done and done. The Emolga hadn’t been much of a challenge for Dice; it’d kept trying to electrocute him but didn’t seem to comprehend that that kind of thing just didn’t work on him. Two swift headbutts had put the thing out of its misery, whimpering away. The Cubone just watched it go, spotting an odd looking to rock lingering nearby. He tilted his head a bit. It looked… out of place?
While Sebastian seemed still focused on his catch, Dice went over to the rock to observe it. It looked… weird. He gave it a little poke. Suddenly it came to life, turning towards him. Was it alive? A living rock? Oh well, Dice didn’t care. It was something else to be smashed as far as he was concerned. He intended to get strong after all!

The Nosepass just sort of fell over as Dice gave it one solid iron-headed headbutt to its red-rock nose. He watched the now fainted pokemon curiously, going back to poking it a bit to assure it was in fact, not going to fight anymore. While the little pokemon focused on the now fallen Nosepass, a Golett floated quietly behind him. It had very much witnessed the brute force used and seemed intent to seek revenge for the fallen pokemon.
Luckily enough, for both Sebastian and any pokemon who would eventually end up in his care, his pokemon were watching out for one another. Spade had caught a whiff of the Golett lurking nearby, spotting it as it tried to sneak up on the Cubone. With a twitchy sneak, he managed to get behind it for his own sneak attack, chomping down on the ghost pokemon with a proper crunch. This was his thing after all.
Spade used Crunch! It was super effective! 80 x 2 = 160 140 – 160 = 0 Golett fainted!

The Golett seemed to just dissipate into the air as it was crushed by the Mightyena’s jaws, the whisps of shadows wafting away from the pokemon’s mouth as it left to regain itself. Dice watched with awe at the scene, giving Spade an approving cheer of recognition. Spade eyed the Cubone wearily a moment, twitching and giving a little grunt before stalking his way back towards their trainer, turning around to continue watching the little pokemon. Blackjack had one eye on the both of them it seemed, giving a look at Spade as he returned to hovering next to his owner’s leg.
Dice became distracted though by yet another pokemon emerging from the grass. Some… pink looking thing with a lot of spikes. The Nidorino eyed the Cubone wearily a moment, clearly aware that some previous commotion had occurred in the area before. Dice just squeaked and spun around, both paws clinging to his bone club before he flung it like a boomerang at the wild pokemon. Apparently, he’d gone and learned a new move…

The Nidorino came around and fled off back into the grass, Dice cheering its defeat with a little flail of his arms. He seemed way too enthused over all the battling he was doing and yet it was good for him. He’d be strong enough to take down the Cyllage City gym leader if Sebastian decided to opt back and give it a go; though if his trainer didn’t start paying attention, the little guy would be ignoring him instead of fighting for him.
In the mean time though, the Cubone was enjoying his little self. At the sight of yet another Emolga, he have a little squeal and quickly toddled at it to give a good one for to the face.

The Emolga population was probably really hurting now thanks to Dice. He still didn’t understand why they kept trying to nuzzle up on him and all; he would not be swayed by their charm! He was too young to actually care about that kind of thing.
As the Emolga disappeared back into the tree tops, another horde of pokemon arrived; a bunch of female Nidoran. Dice was ready to jump into the middle of them and start bashing before Blackjack’s mouth suddenly locked onto the end of his bone club, lifting it and the tiny pokemon up in the air. Even if Sebastian wasn’t paying attention, Blackjack was. He could tell Dice was getting a little out of hand and that it was probably for the best he took a break.
Dice gave a squeak of disapproval, staring back at the hell hound with the most intimidating glare he could muster. Which was pretty much non-existent at this point. Blackjack just quirked an eyebrow, giving a muffled grunt before carrying both club and Cubone back towards Sebastian.
Shuffle had caught sight of the little interaction, chirping and fluttering down next to the pair to see what was going on. Blackjack glanced at her briefly, gesturing with a little nudge of his head at the horde. She could take them. Shuffle seemed a little startled, eyeing the horde a moment before giving a chirp of excitement, fluttering into the air and unleashing torrent of fire thanks to her recently learned ability.

Shuffle fluttered her wings proudly as the horde retreated. That move had certainly paid off! As she hopped about happily though, a strange shadow suddenly obscured the light from above. She blinked, staring at the odd new shadow curiously before looking up to the Sigilyph hovering above her. Shuffle gave a little chirp of surprise, watching as Spade once again appeared between one of Sebastian’s pokemon and the Sigilyph. This time, it would not get a chance to fly away.

Spade disposed of the Sigilyph with little effort, watching as this time, the wild pokemon fled terrified into the grass due to defeat as opposed to cowardness. Spade twitched, looking to Shuffle who was chirping bravados for him. She certainly hoped to be as tough as him some day!
For the first time in a while Spade seemed to ease up and… appreciate the gratitude. But it didn’t last long as yet another horde of female Nidoran appeared. Spade twitched, immediately growing tense and eyeing the group wearily, Shuffle chiming in and hopping onto his head. With another proud chirp, she unleashed yet another torrent of flame to rid them of the horde.

Sebastian looked up towards his pokemon as the flames died down, the Nidoran scattering in different directions once they’d come too. He blinked, tilting his head a bit as both Spade and Shuffle returned, the little bird perching herself on top of the MIghtyena’s head for a free ride, chirping happily.
"Have you guys been training this whole time?" He questioned, the pokemon giving him sort of blank stares. What the hell had he been doing for the past oh so many minutes to not notice this fact? Engrossed in his thoughts no doubt. Oh well, at least they were all okay.
As he put his stuff away, a strange buzzing noise erupted from nearby. Sebastian blinked and looked up in the direction of the noise, frowning as a rather large looking bug type started hovering in their direction. Dice gave a little squeal, but was still being detained by Blackjack, and Spade and Shuffle looked like they could use a moment to break. Sebastian reached back, releasing Naps to handle the pokemon instead, tugging out his pokedex again and learning it was a Yanma.
Naps yawned, eyes squinting a bit. He looked ready to fall asleep, so Sebastian would make it quick. "Use Fire Blast, Naps. Get it over quick." The Quilava gave a squeak of agreement before blasting the bug in the face with fire.

"Good job, Naps." Sebastian remarked as he returned the Quilava. He glanced around a moment. It was probably time they headed back to get some rest. He had himself an Eevee and his pokemon were definitely a bit stronger… he’d have to check them over and get an idea of where they really stood.
But for now he could tell they were all a bit tired. "Come on all, let’s head back to town for a bit." He remarked, receiving various different responses in agreement. As they started walking though, another Sigilyph cut off their path. Apparently this was the same one that had fled from battle the first time and was now seeking revenge. Spade recognized it and was happy to oblige with a quick chomp to the psychic pokemon’s non-existing face.

With the revenge seeking Sigilyph dispatched, the group continued on. Dice had gone from hanging in the air due to Blackjack holding onto his bone club to walking alongside the Houndoom. Spade hovered right next to Sebastian like always, Shuffle perched comfortably on his head, chirping happily.
Sebastian was still looking over his pokedex, pausing only at the odd sounds once again heading their way from the nearby grass. Yet another horde of Stunky appeared, pausing only briefly to look at the trainer and his group. Suddenly, one of the Stunky’s gave a little screech at the sight of Dice, scrambling to the back of the group while the biggest amongst them took the lead. Apparently, there were some of those Stunky’s from before who had faced the wrath of Dice’s bone club numerous time.
The little Cubone squealed, attempting to toddle out towards the horde to take it on only to be stopped by Sebastian scooping him up under his arm, a frown set on his face. He didn’t need the Cubone getting his block knocked off again. ”CU!” The pokemon squeaked in agitation, trying to flail his club a bit but having trouble due to the way he was just dangling from under Sebastian’s arm. His trainer just shook his head. Instead he looked to Shuffle, pointing her forward. "Alright Shy, let’s see that move of yours. Take’em out in one blow." The little Fletchling chirped enthusiastically, flying up into the air and releasing the torrent of flames on the Stunky gang.

Once the Stunky’s were taken care of, Sebastian set Dice back down. The little Cubone was clearly agitated, yanking violently at his trainer’s pant leg in frustration. Sebastian looked down at the pokemon with a frown, rubbing at the back of his neck.
"Sorry, Dice. I just couldn’t afford you getting knocked out again. Besides, Shuffle could’ve used the experience anyways." The Fletchling chirped in agreement, wings flapping as she resumed her perch on top of Spade’s had. The Cubone didn’t seem satisfied with this response, cheeks puffing out slightly as they started walking again, Dice lagging behind a bit as the moved to return to Geosenge Town. He didn’t really care who needed the experience; he wanted to take out those Stunky’s for what they did before!
He was still pouting when some weird shuffling in a bush caught his attention. Dice glanced at others, noting they seemed to be focused ahead, before toddling over to check the bush. He poked at the bush with his club, a pokemon suddenly rolling out of his and plopping right in front of him. Dice tilted his head at the weird little brown rodent. What was this? The little mouse just stared back.
”Dedenenenene” The little thing squeaked. Dice just stared. The staring contest continued for another moment or two when suddenly the rodent started… vibrating? The air buzzed like a static noise as the Dedenne just sort of vibrated for no reason. It was weird, though the wild pokemon didn’t seem phased by this weird reaction at all. Dice wasn’t sure what to make of it. Which meant only one thing. Without hesitation, he raised his club up. The Dedenne just tilted his head a bit, still pulsating. ”Dede?”
”DE!” Sebastian jumped at the cry, alarmed at how pained it sounded. Quickly he turned on his heel to look behind him, Spade slamming his body to the ground in alarm while Blackjack looked back curiously.
The sight of Dice’s bone club pretty much smashed down on the poor tiny pokemon was nothing short of horrifying. Even worth, the poor little thing didn’t seem to be moving.
"DICE." Sebastian practically shouted, storming over and dropping down to get a close up of the carnage. The Dedenne was face-flat in the ground and unmoving. Sebastian gave the Cubone a sharp look. "What did you do?!" The Cubone just gave a tilt of his head, not seeming to comprehend that his trainer was upset. Swiftly Sebastian shoved the club off the pokemon, wincing and reaching out and lifting it off the ground a bit by its tail. Sebastian grimaced a bit, eyeing the pokemon a moment; this was a rather terrible predicament.
But then it started vibrating again. While it hadn’t looked up or even responded to being picked up, it apparently was still very much… alive-ish. Sebastian frowned; he couldn’t leave the poor thing blacked out in the middle of the road. With a sigh he produced an empty pokeball, capturing the strange rodent. He’d bring it to the pokemon center to make sure it was alright and then deal with it later. He gave Dice another sharp gaze. He really needed to have a chat with the Cubone and his desire to just smash everything it encountered.

Sebastian arrived back in Geosenge Town after an hour or so, a hand to his mouth as he tried to stifle a yawn. He was actually pretty tired at the moment, a nap seemed in order.
He walked up to Nurse Joy, handing over all the pokeballs on his person before taking a seat as he waited. So he'd found an Eevee like he'd intended too; what next? He wasn't sure... challenge a gym leader? His pokemon were getting pretty strong. Or maybe find some more pokemon? He was beginning to get the idea of building his team properly, so that he could either handle the gym's here in Kalos or those back in Johto. Either way, he could use some more fleshing out as well as the fact that there were still a few pokemon he wanted to aquire for his own in the long run.
For now though, he just needed to rest. Once Nurse Joy had returned his pokemon, he thanked her, asking about a place to rest and being directed to the beds available to trainers and travelers in the back of the center.
With a smile and a wave he headed back there, finding a spare bed and flopping down on it for a nap. There were still things to deal with but... that could wait.

Shenaiya walked straight for the monstrous sized granite blocks. When she got there, she placed a hand on the rock, and shivered at the chill. She smirked. This was so cool. "Xena! The rock is kind of cool. But... It has a creepy coolness to it. So cool." She said chuckling to herself as she removed her hand and turned to her pokemon. They were probably exhausted. But they should at least make it Shalour first before they rest. She turned on her booted heel and kept moving.
