Sasha looked around for a moment, noticing that Ebony and Lao were still busy, "I'd ask if you wanted to go and walk around a bit... But I'm a bit stuck up here until Lao can give me a ride down from here...," she said softly, clearly thinking that the older dragon was her only way up and down from anywhere.
She turned her head to look out past the landing ledge and gave a small sigh, "I haven't been outside much in about two weeks, I think...," she added, her voice still soft but with a hint of longing to it to be out in the sun for once...

Geth couldn't help but chuckle again.
"I could easily carry you down, if you feel a bit stir-crazy. You couldn't be much heavier than one of those deer!"
Geth stood, driving home the point with his size. He would have been able to carry three of Sasha, plus a few cows. Well, perhaps not that much, but the young dragon wouldn't have been too much trouble...

Sasha looked up at him hopefully, "Are you sure? I don't want to be a burden to anyone...," she said softly, truly meaning what she was saying. But she stood and followed him to the ledge and got on his back when he told her to, finding that she enjoyed the glide down.
Layla stirred a bit on Maris' back, giving a pained whimper and a name but not much more beyond calling for Borias and saying no to Zuko. After that, she drifted off into a world of pain again...

Geth touched down beside the lake, feeling the soft earth beneath his talons, digging into the ground. It had been a long time since he had felt that sensation. He lowered himself so that Sasha could climb down,
"I am afraid you will have to be my guide around the island..."
Maris sighed, but she began to move with a sense of urgency. The elf needed to be healed soon, or else she might not make it. Of course, walking with an elf on your back and a rifle slung over your stomach was difficult. She would have to craft some sort of sled to drag the poor elf on...

Sasha got down from his back, careful of her wings, and settled herself beside the lake in a patch of sunlight that gave him hints as to what her scales would look like when she was in better health, "I would be no good as a guide, though... I haven't left my cave in two weeks until today... I've only ever been here at the lake, at Lao and Ebony's, or in my cave...," she told him honestly and gave a small shrug but turned her head in the direction of vampire island, "But if you mean the other island, that I can show you after I get my wings back...," she added for him with a small shrug as she laid her head on her forelegs.
Layla gave another small sound of pain and tried to shift, unable to because of Maris' hold on her. But it was a sign that she might be waking up soon... Luckily they came to a cavern opening that lead to a set of carved stairs, apparently someone's home...

"Bah! I thought you said 'go for a walk', not 'babysit',"
Laughed Geth as he folded his wings, before pacing the stretch of shore they had landed beside. He examined the landscape around them- mostly forests, but there were a few hills here and there, and he could just make out another island nearby.
"I suppose if we got lost, that mountain wouldn't be too hard to find."
Maris was glad to find a cavern, but was a bit anxious to see that there were carved steps. It wouldn't be too lucky if they were stumbled upon by the owner of the cavern, but Maris needed a place to keep the elf while she made a sled...

Sasha gave a soft laugh as she stood again and started moving slowly along the beach, closing her silver swirling eyes and raising her ehad into the sun, "The sun feels so good....," she said softly, not realizing that the sun on her pale scales made her hearly glow and showed hints of what she'd look like in full health.
But she looked up at the mountain Lao and Ebony had claimed for themselves and gave a small shrug, "That would be easy to spot, yes. But I wouldn't get lost anyway... Somehow I always manage to know where I am...," she told him softly as she paused to let the surf from the water roll over her feet then lowered her head into the waves briefly before raising her head again and letting some of the water leave trails down her neck, revealing the sparkling iridescent white of her scales and giving more hints of how beautiful she could truly be.
Ebony thought she heard something and turned towards the stairs, "You go ahead and see what you can find out about Bane. I'll stay here with the hatchlings. We'll be fine. We need to know what has happened to him, Lao...," she told him and gave his large head a gentle caress and placed a light kiss right between his eyes before she moved down the stairs and saw Maris with a wounded Elf on her back.
She took the Elf from her back without having to be asked and lifted her easily into her arms, "Come on up. You can help me with her," she said simply as she carried the unconscious woman up the stairs and put her on one of the large cushions then moved over to her chest of medical supplies and pulled out several items, carried them back and set to work, "Hand me what I need when I ask for it," she told her firmly as she threaded a needle and pulled back the bandages, swearing roundly at what she saw there but got started anyway on sewing her up....

Geth watched the water trail down Sasha's scales. It was as if nature wanted to show all just what a dragon Sasha was.
"You're a very beautiful dragon, young one."
Maris very nearly dropped the elf to raise up her rifle when she saw the humanoid approach her, taking the elf from her. But Maris saw that this woman meant no harm to the two, so she moved the rifle to her back and followed the woman. She simply nodded and readied herself to help the woman tend to the elf's wounds.

Sasha lowered her head a bit at the compliment, "not really, but thank you anyway...," she said softly. She simply couldn't see what others talked about when they called her beautiful. Too many years of living with a family that put her down for her plain looks before she had her first shift to dragon form and came into her true beauty.
Ebony sewed up the three holes, shaking her head, "She's lucky nothing inside was punctured...," she muttered softly as she tied off the last stitch at the woman's belly, "Thread another for me and then put some water in the small wooden bowl in the chest, add the powder from the blue pouch and mix it until it's a paste," she told Maris as she checked the claw marks on the unconscious woman's face.

Geth cocked his head, confused at Sasha's reaction.
"What? Are you so humble you cannot see your own reflection?"
He snorted, blowing smoke rings through his nose as he stepped closer, waving his head in the direction of the water, beckoning her to look at her reflection. The male reached into the water and splashed at Sasha,
"Come, let us walk. I grow restless easily."
Maris did what the woman asked, watching her as she put the elf back together. Hopefully this woman would be able to do more than Maris, who was only able to clean and cover the wounds. But Maris nodded,
"Whatever it was that was attacking her certainly had it in for her- It probably would have punctured something if no one had come along."

Sasha caught the splash full in the face but only shook her head a bit, sending more water coursing down her neck and revealing more of her iridescent scales to him before she followed him further down the beach, "Not humble... I just don't see that I'm beautiful... Having a few nice features, yes... But not beautiful... If you saw me in my human form, you'd agree," she told him with a shrug as she followed along.
Ebony nodded her head, frowning a bit as she sewed up the woman's face and got an idea of who she was, "If this is who I think it is, then yes, he was out to kill her. But to cause her pain first would have been his main goal. But if this is Layla, I have to wonder how he got hold of her... Last I heard, she was living at the castle with Borias the Centaur who called her Mate the last time I heard anything from the other island... A Centaur with a mate would never allow something like this to have happened... I just don't understand it...," she explained as she finished sewing up the woman's face and cleaned some of the blood off, nodding her head with a deeper frown, "It's Layla, alright...," she confirmed then held her hand out for the paste, "There are some clean cloths in the chest as well, I'll need those...," she told her, "And thanks for bringing her here Maris...," she added without looking at her.

"You are too self-abusing. I'm sure that you have a beautiful human form as well."
Geth's eyes flicked across their surroundings as they walked, and he couldn't help but accidentally whip a few saplings out of the ground with his tail... He laughed.
"We should leave the forest soon. I'm not used to walking about in this form... I might knock down the whole forest."
Maris shrugged.
"If she had a centaur as a hubby, I never saw him."
Then the woman called her by name, and the human couldn't help but narrow her eyes. There weren't many who knew Maris' name, and those people were mostly dead or too afraid to call her by name.
"I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage..."

Sasha shook her head at him a bit but moved for the path to the true beach that bordered the land and the ocean, proving that she was truly never lost anywhere. It didn't take long before they reached the beach there, a unique mixture of rock and sand against the blue-green of the ocean waters. They were at the tip of one part of the island that lead towards the lagoon meant to house the Water Dragons if they ever came to reside here.
Sasha paused by a large rock to rest a moment, clearly not used to moving around as much as she was. Evidenced by the fact that she was panting a bit and leaning against the large rock without appearing to be doing so, "Well, rocks are probably not quite that much different from trees, but at least there are fewer here of them compared to the trees of the forest...," she told him, an attempt at humor to cover how tired she was at the moment.
Ebony gave a shrug, "My name is Ebony. I was the feline servant of the Goddess for centuries, I know of more people than I actually have met, so cool your heels. You're in no danger from me, woman...," she told her, a bit heavy on the attitude but apparently used to getting her way.
She finished applying the paste to the wounds and had Maris cut strips of the cloth to place over the claw marks on Layla's face, then did the same for the belly wounds, "Nothing I can do about the rest of it right now, though when she wakes I can out together an herbal bath that will help with the bruising...," now she looked up, turning her chartreuse eyes on the woman who had been helping her, "You're welcome to stick around for a while, if you want to... Plenty of room on the island for you to pick a place out," she offered simply before she moved over to the water basin to clean her hands and wipe them dry.
She moved over to the fire and poured herself a cup of tea, doing the same for Maris without a word and sipping at hers, giving a soft sigh at the soothing drink.

Without a word, Geth moved in a way that placed Sasha on his back with her arms over his shoulders.
"Fancy a swim, little one?"
Maris sipped on the tea, still watching Ebony. Finally, deciding that if she had served the goddess for centuries, there would be no point in trying to defend herself against a being so old.
"What was it that attacked her? I shot at it, but it started falling apart like it was rotting."

Sasha gave a startled sound at suddenly being on his back but gave a soft laugh at his question, "I'd love a swim!" she told him in her soft voice that still couldn't hide her excitement over the prospect. Truthfully, she missed swimming. Of course, she also missed being clean as well, so the swim would do both at once, giving her a bonus to the joy.
Ebony gave a soft sigh and shook her head slightly, "Only thing I can think of is that he's now a zombie of some kind... I know that Borias killed Zuko, so the only way he'd be able to attack her now is if he came back from the dead somehow. And if you say he was falling apart but still walking, then he has to be a zombie... But Zuko was Layla's first husband. She left him when he broke her arm and beat her up to the point that she can't have kids anymore. He was a true b*****d, that one. And now that he's back, he'll only be thinking of making her suffer before he kills her...," she explained then sipped at her tea a bit more before looking over at the unconscious Elf and shaking her head again.
"The woman truly doesn't deserve what that b*****d has done to her... And probably will do to her since he isn't dead anymore... He'll never give up...," she added, unable to stop her frown over the whole thing. She just wished she knew what had happened to keep Borias from the woman... If he truly cared about her... Why wasn't he there to keep her from getting hurt?
"I can only hope I can keep her alive now...," she finished softly before she emptied her cup an refilled it silently.
