Within moments of recieving the order, the two blade-wielding kunoichi emerged side by side from their hidden postion, both ready to strike. It irritated Shion that their plan for a sneak attack was blown, but it wasn't all lost. Her opponents had no idea which was the real Shion, giving her a little bit of an advantage; all she had to do now was play to that knowledge.
The Shion on the left watched as Unki created her ash cloud and mimed its effects and shot her a nod of acknowledgement. Good, it seemed the two had another advantage in that their jutsu had some sort of compatibility. "Roger that, just try not to let us upstage you, old man," the two Shions would quip in tandem Shiro. Their attention, and blades, then leveled towards their targets, patiently waiting for the NCOs to make the first move.
As Shiro officially joined the battlefield the veins around his eyes would bulge and swell. Granting him the omnipotent eyes of the byakugan. Before him stood the object of his hatred, his anger, his pain, and soon, his vengeance. He knew fell well that one of them would not leave here alive and he was fully prepared to take that man out with him if need be. While Unki put her plan into motion the cloud of ash would be obscured by a shimmering light as the corporal's shield flared though her assault was well timed as the shield faded before the orb made contact with the man.
With the other corporal unattended he would ready his rifle and fire on both Shiro and Shion. (c ranked formless) Shiro however, almost would not even break stride as his body twisted and turned almost inhumanly dancing between the four kunai. Though despite the elegance of the dance, it still resulted in several cuts and tears in his clothes and light cuts upon his body. Turning his hips he sent a explosive tagged kunai flying at the man while he righted himself and continued his march towards Akagi.
The kunai would sail true and detonate before the mans shield leaving another opening for either Unki or Shion to capitalize upon. When the two finally met up. Shiro and Akagi, there were no words traded, no hateful speeches. Only the matching of Akagi's aura and shiro's, gold and silver. Both shot through with lightning, both streaming from their bodies in a mixture of incandescent flames.
The moment the corporal leveled his rifle, both Shions dashed towards him with Left Shion taking a direct approach and Right Shion going wide to come in from his flank. With a few quick slashes, Left Shion had batted away the approaching kunai, clearing her path. She might not have had Shiro's aim and redirection skills, but this was more than enough to get her to her target to her target.
The blast from the deflected kunai was exactly what Shion needed. Her target's armor was down, he was distracted, and now she had a fog masking her approach on all sides. As she entered the smoke cloud to close in on her target, Shion narrowed her senses, focusing only on the kill. Her muscles twitched as a surge of energy rushed through her body, granting her near-blinding speed. Within mere moments, Left Shion would burst through the smoke, laying into her foe with a single cross slash, that would be followed by two more ghostly blades. As her opponent would block these attacks, he'd find out they were fake, nothing but intangible bunshin. It would be too late, however, as the real Left Shion would emerge from the smoke to land a mortal blow in any opening the corporal left open during his initial block.
During the distraction of the frontal assault being carried out by Left Shion, Right Shion would rush in from the right side of the corperal and lash out at his lower back with her own multi-tiered slash. Unlike Left Shion's strike where only the blade duplicated, this new onslaught would be delivered by one Shion who would separate into three, each hacking into their target with three very real swords.
From the dark of the ash Unki's chance with her timing was well either granted by luck or the truth in her skills. She downed an opponent without question as the proof of the matter reside in an eerie form that seemed thinner than average seen upon the slight openings that show skin between pieces of with whatever bulky armor her former target should be wearing. The fact that she followed orders and took someone's life hasn't sunk in yet.
In regards to Shion and Shiro- who just joined the fray- she had watched their entries unfold. The word, 'dramatic' would suit if one tried to measure the quality of such spontaneous events. A pair of spunky Shions took to the second target, regrettably, the ashen fog widely clouded Unki's perspective of her movements.
Unki still had her scorch spheres in slow orbit about her being and she positioned herself in a way that she could divide her sights between both Shion and Shiro. She would hold off from making another move for the moment and go on the defensive, with a slight change of stance, until she could find how Shion was fairing. Shiro, on the other hand, was just getting started.

Fills an area of about ten feet with thick ash that obscures sight.

The flurry of cuts that was unleashed upon the poor corporal would leave him quite literally no option to defend himself, not that he would realize it in time. As the cuts sank deep into his flesh, parting bone from sinew, his body would sink to the ground limp and lifeless. With the corporals down, what would the two young gennin do?
While shion's bloody assault commenced so to did the clash between Akagi and Shiro. As if split by lightning it happened. Akagi would swing a wide hook, checked by a triangle guard from Shiro. Who would respond in kind by an instep and an attempted forward take down. Though Akagi truly was a skilled martial artist in his own right. Riding the momentum back he flipped back to his feet at a low crouch. In almost perfect synchronization, as Akagi would leap up in a springing straight kick. Shiro would follow his step through in a back axel kick. With the two legs meeting in mid air, accompanied by a blast of golden and silver chakra, each one followed downwards planting their feet. Each stepped in to deliver their own fearsome jabs, Shiro's to the middle of the chest, and Akagi's into Shiro's face. Both blows were again punctuated by a blast of silver and golden chakra and both were sent flying from the other.
Now the true fight had started. With streaks of crimson trailing down the side of his face, matched by the blood Akagi had spit up. As the two quickly recovered they would quickly charge the other, closing the distance in the blink of an eye. Akagi aiming a devastating roundhouse, and Shiro a smirk. With a sudden movement Shiro would twist his hips and bend over backwards under the kick. Grabbing ahold of Akagi's planted leg he would use Akagi's own momentum against himself. Following Akagi's kick as it passed over his head shiro would flip backwards ripping Akagi's plant leg off of the ground at the same time. Spinning in place he would send the man flying into one of the ruinous clusters of buildings.
Just as the man was about to impact the building the silvery sheen of the shield would flare up around him, protecting him from the impact of the wall. But it would not stop his momentum causing him to barrel through more then a couple of walls. For the moment the man was obscured by smoke and dust. Though shiro was starting to look a bit haggard and definitely had seen better days. The small cuts he wore at the start of the fight were now several dozen in number and inches long in size, though none were truly deep enough to cause major damage.
As Shion felt her blade land its mark and carve a path through her enemy, something struck a chord in the young genin. All apprehension was suddenly blown away by a sudden rush of adrenaline, and she wanted... she needed... more. Shion's eyes danced around the battlefield, scanning eagerly for her next opponent; there were none to be found. Instead, her eyes landed on the battle that was raging between Shiro and Akagi. The feeling raging within her only heightened as she watched the brilliant clash of gold and silver. Her mind began to race; should she jump into the fray? Shiro said to stay out of the fight, but she was still at damn near full strength while the Raikage was beginning to show signs of fatigue. Part of her was saying to jump into the fight, but another was screaming to stay out and follow orders. Just as it seemed that cooler heads were beginning to prevail, Shion spotted a familiar flash of silver light; it was the same flash she saw back when she was dispatched to rescue Toso. Akagi had activated his energy sheild, and now it would be out of commission for several minutes. The voice telling her to go for it was now a bloodthirsty scream. Her blood was at a full boil and her chakra surged, now visibly glowing a deep, burning orange emanating from her eyes. Shion rocketed off towards the staggered Akagi, a literal explosion erupting from her body as she took off. Shion's desire to fight had overwhelmed her; the only thing on her mind now was to kill Akagi. Each step propelling her forward with another blast, Shion let loose a scratchy battlecry, swinging her blade at what she hoped would be an offguard enemy. As the sword inched closer to Akagi, the simple sword swing would quickly turn into a point blank explosion erupting right from the hilt in his immediate direction.
The battle, like a raging fire, was intense but could not last long. The moment that they had occupied the UHV's artillery position it was tactically over. Not to mention the strategic victory in taking out the UHV's vanguard, as well as capturing their artillery. However, Akagi was still in the game, but not for long. Despite the smoke and dust, Shion's blazing aura was a dead giveaway for her position. When she rushed the man he would release his rifle and draw his serrated combat knife to meet her blade. While his knife would slam into her sword with more then enough strength to not only knock the woman back, but take a chunk out of the blade as well. What Akagi, nor Shiro, had accounted for, was the blast wave which would rock the man. Sending him into and subsequently through, the wall behind him. The man was well and truly breathing his last.
With a quick eruption of golden chakra, Shiro's form appeared beside the woman,"Well done, but stand down." Without waiting for her response, Shiro crossed the distance and drew a simple kunai from his belt. Approaching the mans dazed and dying body. Shiro would pull the red and black scarf off of Akagi's neck and drape it over his own. Taking a knee before Akagi he spoke clearly and with purpose,"Akagi, I absolve you of your sins." Then without any trace of the kind merciful man he was before, plunged the knife into the mans throat. With a hard rip he would slice it open and rise to his feet."May the goddess light your path and accept you into your fold."
Before he could say any more he heard a transmission from Mizuki, something was up over there and he had no answers to give her. Pressing his thumb to the mic he gave her, her directions and faced both Shion and Unki,"I am very proud of both of you." As he spoke the veins faded from his temples, though he still looked like he had been through the ringer.

In response to Mizuki's transmission, Shiro's voice would come over the coms, though it sounded pretty tired,"Support Team, Assault Lead. Solid copy, have a team escort the bodies back to the village for autopsy. That is a bit too weird to be a coincidence. Assault lead out."
Switching over to the force wide broadcast he would proudly proclaim,"Assault lead to all units in active operations. Victory. I say again, Victory. Regroup in the city proper for debriefing and follow on orders. Assault lead out."
Shion gritted her teeth into a fierce, almost bestial snarl as Akagi's blade met her own. The chakra that raged in her eyes burned even brighter as the explosion ripped through Akagi's defenses and sent him flying back. Without missing a beat, Shion dug her feet into the ground, ready to blast off once again in pursuit of her new quarry. The only thing that halted her advance was the sudden appearance of Shiro. His calm, cold demeanor drove a spike of reason through the girl's berserk rage, stopping her in her tracks. Her chakra aura slowly grew dimmer until it faded from her eyes, her breath became staggered and heavy; all she could do was collapse to her knees as she watched Shiro deliver the final blow.
As shiro barked his new orders into the comms, Shion looked around at the damage she had caused. Behind her was a trail of small craters and both her sword and the walls around where Akagi stood were covered in soot. "What... what happened?" she muttered to herself. Her head was cloudy and, while generally aware of the fight, was lost on the specifics of just what she had done. In fact, Shion was so lost in thought that Shiro's compliments on her were almost missed. Sheathing her blade and anxiously looking around for some sort of answer as to how she had managed to stand up to Akagi, Shion got out a simple "Thank you, Shir... uh... Lord Raikage"; this was the first time she had really interacted with Shiro as the Raikage, so it was understandable that she'd almost miss the formalities he was due.
