Eyeing the approaching Flare grunt, Isaac cocked an eyebrow and began to grin, a plan already beginning to form in his head. He simply had to wait for just...the....right....moment...Now! "Whirlwind," Isaac barked, as the grunt began to toss his Pokeball. The onrushing torrent of wind reversed the ball's flight, hurtling it back from whence it came. Laughing as he walked, Isaac moved up next to his Noibat, "So predictable." He boisterously taunted, "You grunts were never a challenge. Hardly even a nuisance really."
Once he was next to Konrad, however, he dropped his voice to a low whisper that only the bat Pokemon, with its large ears would be able to hear. "Get a Tailwind worked up. I'm gonna try out something special." Raising his voice once again, he resumed taunting his opponent. "Surely there is more to this fight? Or are you giving up already?" As he berated the Flare minion, he shifted his posture so that his right arm was hidden from the grunt's view, as well as the fact that he was using that hand to grab another Pokeball.
"Damn you," The grunt growled out as he retrieved the flying Pokeball before tossing it a second time. "Rollout," He bellowed at the emerging Whirlipede, which began to race across the cavern floor. Isaac's eyes widened for a moment before diving to the side while calling out for his Noibat to do the same, "Aerial Ace!" As the rolling bug Pokemon launched itself towards where the pair had been mere moments before, Isaac slipped the other Pokeball back into a pocket. As he watched his small bat swoop out of the way of the attack, he mentally shelved his previous plan. "Well," he muttered, "I guess this will work." Raising his voice, Isaac called out once again, "Keep your distance Konrad, and swat the bug with Air Slash!" The barrage of focused air, conjured up from the Noibat's furiously flapping wings, scythed through the air, carving deep rends into the cave floor as the still rolling Whirlipede raced around attempting to dodge the oncoming attacks. Blast after blast of wind continued to lash out, as the battle stretched on, and the Whilripede's rolling charges began to increase in ferocity from its Speed Boost. Despite the damage that Konrad had already inflicted, it was becoming harder and harder for the Noibat to evade the ever accelerating assault. "Enough of this," Isaac called out, "Hurricane!" Whipping up a torrent of wind around itself first, Konrad furiously flapped its wings, blasting the Whirlipede with a roaring wind of tremendous force, sending the bug Pokemon crashing into the cave wall.
"You filthy rotten brat," The grunt growled out as he recalled his fainted Pokemon. Raising his voice, he began to yell as he sent out his next Pokemon, "I'll teach you not to mess with Team Flare! Ice Beam!" The emerging Pokemon seemed more oversized claw than anything else, and the ice chi gathering within said pincer lanced forth, striking Konrad on one of his wings. The bat Pokemon squealed in pain, and flailed it wings desperately attempting to stay aloft. With a grimace, Isaac swiftly brought out Konrad's Pokeball; while the little bat wasn't fainted, his part in this battle was certainly done.
Recalling the Noibat, he stashed the Pokeball away, but hesitated before grabbing another one. Reno's antics across the cave had caught his eye, and a telltale aura of corruption was emanating from the Cloyster. With a long sigh, followed by a shrug, Isaac fished out another Pokeball. "What the hell," he muttered, opening up the Pokeball. He didn't bother to issue a command. Ever since it had contracted the shadow virus, his Magnemite had developed a singular tendency. Instead, he simply walked up next to Ferrus, pointed at the Flare grunt's Clawitzer, and calmly said, "Open fire." The Magnemite needed no further instruction, as it unleashed volley after volley of electrical energy. The shadow laced Zap Cannons weren't necessarily the most accurate, but the effect was still devastating. Even as the Clawitzer fired back with a few Ice Beams, the relentless electrical bombardment was taking its toll on the unfortunate water Pokemon.
There was, of course, another toll being exacted upon the Flare's Pokemon, one that Isaac was all too familiar with after spending so long in the shadow infested Hoenn region. As the Flare grunt shouted at the Clawitzer from behind cover, Isaac calmly retrieved his Snag Machine, slipped it on, and hurled an Ultra Ball. The ball released a bright light before dropping to the ground, the newly infected Clawitzer safely inside. Recalling his Magnemite, Isaac stepped forward and picked up the Ultra Ball. "At least I cleaned up my mess," he remarked as he stashed it with his other Pokeballs.

Darksol88 "Maybe I just didn't deal with them enough, but are they all like that?" Amaranth asked herself, recalling her fallen Goomy and weakened Woobat before looking around. She really hoped that Aile hadn't gotten too far away, especially with that grunt already giving chase... Atlantis_Darts He strides off, looking to make contact with the rest of the team again. But not before: "Boy looks like you got egg on your face!" hefting his egg in one hand, Darts leaves the grunt with those parting words of wisdom from his companion Eggy. “A Manectric, huh? Right then. Voort, time to stretch your legs,” Aile would throw out her Great Ball, sending out her Nidoking. The beast would look around, noticing the Manectric in front of him, and the two would lock themselves into a staring contest, both seeming to be trying to gauge the other one. Without a trainer to direct the hound, though, the Manectric would send out a bolt of lightning at Voort. While the lightning it it’s mark square on his chest, the Pokémon would simply look down and stare at the point of impact before brushing it off and turning to his trainer, giving an inquiring look to her. “Yes, Voort, that is your opponent.” A snort came from the bipedal beast. “Don’t disregard him, that’s how bad stuff and defeats happen. Underestimating them. By the way, behind you.” The Nidoking would turn his head to see the Manectric charging with flaming fangs, aiming at his neck. Voort would bring his tail up in an attempt to knock the dog away, but that just became the new target as Manectric clamped down on the tail instead. Voort roared in pain and began thrashing his tail around attempting to dislodge the dog to no avail. “Voort, be careful of where you’re flailing your tail about! We don’t wa- oh merde.” Aile would cringe as the Manectric finally let go, being flung into one the nearby telephone poles. The force of the impact be seen as the pole was now bending at a horrible angle, only the cords holding it up at all. Voort’s retaliating move wouldn’t help at all, a charging Megahorn that, in addition to harming the Manectric, snapped what was left of the pole at the initial impact point, the whole thing snapping in two and coming down, cables snapping along with it it fell. “VOORT!” Aile looked around as the lights in the plaza and surrounding areas went dark, silently saying thankful prayers that people had already cleared once the battles had broken out. Voort looked up when Aile called his name, staring at the snapped power lines near him and scratching the back of his head, looking slightly bewildered. The Manectric was struggling to get up, staring at the power lines with hungry intent before he was recalled, his trainer wearing a scowl on her face. “You lot can’t go anywhere without creating some sort of fiasco, can you?” Aile would turn around to see the one assumed to be Celosia behind her, a scowl on her face and a somewhat big envelope in her hand. The envelope would be tossed to Aile, who opened the flap and looked through the contents, face slowly filling with concern. “Now then, what do about this havoc you’ve caused,” she would ask as the grunt Amaranth fought returned, her scowl deepening as Darts and Amaranth were not far behind. The envelope Aile was holding would be folded and slip into her jacket as her team members returned. As Celosia was about to open her mouth to potentially taunt the Snagems again, another grunt would run up and whisper something in her ear, the news causing her to turn onto the grunt. “Well, don’t just stand there! Figure out how to get the power in the lab running again! We can’t afford any setbacks!” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After Celosia finished their conversation and left, Rhyme and her friends would be left alone for a while once again. Finally, one of the higher up Flare grunts would arrive in front of the door to Rhyme’s cell and sneer. “Well, looks like it’s time for you to begin your life as a lab rat.” He would go for the keys on his belt when everything would be plunged into darkness for a moment, small emergency lights popping on shortly after to make navigation only somewhat easier than pitch black. “What just happened?” If Rhyme went up to the bars now, she might notice something different, or missing almost. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Isaac Hawking There was, of course, another toll being exacted upon the Flare's Pokemon, one that Isaac was all too familiar with after spending so long in the shadow infested Hoenn region. "At least I cleaned up my mess," he remarked as he stashed it with his other Pokeballs. Tesei Utakata Taking off after his Cloyster, he would find it slowly rolling its way up the cavern path with gritted teeth. Putting the poor Pokemon back into his Pokeball, the psychic turned back towards the cells and cores to try and collect them from the remaining grunts. Extremelictor A low growl curls out the corner of his exposed mouth, forgetting his high collar isn't buttoned up. The Decayed rotting face would snap at the member "Where am I, and my team mates probably want to know what your doing here!" With bright pink eyes Kain would lift a brow looking for reassurance at his question amongst the team. During the battles, the grunts would be successful with herding one more of the tiny blobs into the containment device, but they would be interrupted by the arrival of one ghastly looking Kain lifting one of their own into the air. Between that, two Shadow Pokemon arriving, and Cera conveniently being a troll, things were looking bad for the Flares there. “Oh god! What the hell are you?! Please don’t kill me! We’re here for-” “Shut up! Don’t tell them anything!” “Boss, what the hell? They just used those Pokemon from Hoenn!” “He just stole one of mine after fighting it!” The lead grunt would look frustrated and scream angrily as he packed everything up and began to run. “Time to leave, we’re hopelessly outgunned here!” The other grunts would follow as best they could, most of them now freaking out a little at the Shadow Pokemon usage as well as Kain’s mere appearance. The one blob that managed to stay free of Flare now made it’s way towards Snagem’s blob, cooing cheerfully as it met up with its friend.

Espeon_Commander After Celosia finished their conversation and left, Rhyme and her friends would be left alone for a while once again. Rhyme couldn't help but force herself to think positive. Especially after being told she was essentially captured /because/ she was a hybrid and the experiments on her were to be 'beneficial for society'....after Gretel and Hans apologized to her many times, not meaning for their mission to have gone like this...Rhyme simply smiled in their direction, though her eyes held the bit of sadness she did feel. It wasn't their fault the world was so against Hybrids. They were, at least, nicer ones who weren't in the Snagem community. She was now pacing the room in a calm manner as the Flare grunt came up, his sneer met with the gaze of a girl who overcame her fears and was ready to meet them head-on. That was when the room plunged into darkness, and the flood lights....she was reminded of the cave, surviving in the minimal light, eyes easily adjusting. And that energy from the bars....could she...? She could, because he was close enough with the key. A good Spark attack knocked the guy out, and she had the key easily within the next few minutes. "Hans! Gretel!" She called once she managed to unlock her door and slip out. "Right here, Rhyme!" "Over here!" She hurries and unlocks their doors, the scientists coming out from the cells and noticing that her posture was...alert, ears perked up and twitching occasionally. "Lets go find our things...and then get out of here." Espeon_Commander The lead grunt would look frustrated and scream angrily as he packed everything up and began to run. The core was upset that some of the cells were being taken away from it, but the solo blob that stayed free throughout the midst of the chaos was greeted with happy coos and soft noises before it was assimilated too, the blob of a core making sure that all of its parts were okay. It wanted the other two back, and it would need the help of those that attempted to save it. So as the grunts flee the Core retreats, carrying the SNAG carefully. It was almost comical, staying faaaar behind the grunts but attempting to show the other Snagems how to get to the entrance, so they could help give pursuit even if it was just going to be last anyway in motion.

He rubs the front of where he rammed his face into it ruefully. "No yolks about that one you almost cracked your shell!""Shut up eggy..." Darts mutters, taking a couple hesitant steps forwards in the opposite direction, but not wanting to meet another solid object he holds the hand not cradling an egg out in front of him, like an old man without a cane. "So." He says out into the eerily silent darkness of the blacked-out city as he finally starts adjusting to the dim vision in front of him. "Do I yell get him or...?" he asks, indicating the whispering grunt.

Reno would stare down at the small blob as it united with the smaller blob, just simply shaking his head as he did so before following along behind the thing. "Alright, Zac. Lead the way and lets try to collect more of you. See what else we find." Reno told the Zygarde Core, walking along carefully to avoid any traps that might have been left behind. His Wynaut, however, chose to hop and skip along without a care in the world alongside the Core while attempting to talk to it near-incessantly. That poor Core would be overwhelmed if it understood Pokespeak at all.

The Wild beast that is Kain would lean in more with a gruesome snarl "Now look at your team Gone leaving you behind. Now I promise I will treat you better than they will now that I've captured you. Now I will ask only one more time... What...Are...You...Doing...Here?" Would would say holding the grunt up in the air by the chin. His long bony finger tightening on his skull.

"Kain. Enough." Isaac said firmly, as he moved to follow Reno and the core. "You won't learn anything if you kill him. Besides," he continued with a shrug, "It's just as likely that he will spout some lie, in hope that you will let him go. " Continuing down into the cave, he called back over his shoulder, "If he tells you some story about some legendary Pokemon or other, then he's really pulling your leg and probably thinks you are a moron."

It was safe to say that Amaranth had a fair bit of trouble navigating once things went dark. Her eyes had an even harder time adjusting, despite slamming them shut to force them to become accustomed to the darkness more easily. Luckily, Darts was a veritable loudmouth, allowing her to eventually catch up as she became used to the dimmer lighting. "I could maybe let Pidgey handle this...?" She whispered, her apprehensive tone speaking volumes about how she didn't want to just throw a Shadow Pokemon out and about like this. At the same time, her Pidgey was probably the only one who could really see without as many issues...

"Do I even want to know why you're giving that thing such a weird name? Still, our best bet's following it, so maybe cooler heads can prevail here. Let's go!" Cera spoke up after a few seconds, quickly following the odd blob of a core or whatever it was. Besides, she wasn't too keen on letting the Flare grunts get away so easily, and she could move around a lot quieter than the rest anyway.

Not a Noise She hurries and unlocks their doors, the scientists coming out from the cells and noticing that her posture was...alert, ears perked up and twitching occasionally. "Lets go find our things...and then get out of here." Rhyme and the other two would figure out their way out of the holding cell area after a little bit of time, and they would even manage to find the place where their stuff was unguarded, probably because of the power outage. By the time that they had gathered all their items, though, they wouldn’t be. The grunt that Rhyme had zapped managed to wake up and catch up to them, noticeably concerned that they all had managed to find their stuff. “They’ll have my head for this….” He looked around quickly before darting off in another direction, possibly to try and find others. Does the group follow him, or will they try to find their own way out? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Extremelictor Kain would begin to chuckle at Issacs protest "Well I will learn what he looks like on the inside, well I guess that matters on how smart he thinks I am?" Z-z-zygarde core…. Cells… finding them! Please! Please don’t kill me!” The grunt would continue to freak out, trying to squirm out of Kain’s grasp to no avail. Eventually, after about a minute or so of all of this, he’d simply faint, probably out of fright and panic. The rest of the group following the newly christened Zac would find themselves near the exit after a decent walk, and there would be screaming heard outside. “Look, we tried but all of a sudden, those wanted people, Snagems? They showed up and stopped us! They even used those Shadow Pokémon against us! … We have two of the cells, but the core eluded, finding safety with those Snagems. You don’t think that what happened a few days ago-? .... Right. We’ll do our best, but- Of course, she closes the line. Easy for her to say, hold them off until she shows up. But did she have to deal with them side blinding her? We need to leave as soon as possible!” Aile would turn to her companions as soon as her eyes adjusted, a frown forming on her face. “Well, if you have something in mind, Darts, go for it,” she’d whisper back, “Because I have a feeling where their next stop’s going to be. He holds up a Pokeball from the inside of his jacket pocket. "I do have something that should throw a wrench in them thinking they're going to retreat cleanly..." He hurls it, aiming for about where he thought Celosia was moving towards. "Gengar!" "Gar!" The ghost-type spouts happily, tongue lolling out of its mouth as it hurls itself towards the pack of Flare members retreating to their escape vehicles. Darts stands there with his arms crossed, not saying a single thing. "...What?" he asks at all the expectant looks towards him from the nearby other members. "If I just let Gengar go after them on his own it will be infinitely more effective than anything I could order him to do..." As if to highlight this point, the Gengar blends into Celosia's shadow cackling madly in the darkness. Well they at least had a tail on them now...

"what a waste." Kain said tossing the body off to the side. Looking up he saw Reno and a member he couldn't quite recognize. Kain with the realization they are his only way out of these caves he obeyed and followed quietly. Pulling a Pokeball out of his pocket Kain released his litwik, Lume.
The little ghost would dance about fluttering around the groups heads, bringing some light to the dark tunnels. .

The inevitable would have red hair and be beside him in an instant after the call ended, an arm now wrapped around the grunt's shoulder. "Now then, my friend. You have three choices right now. Two are really bad, one ends a little better. We either beat you up and take the cells, you flee and we hunt you down like a pack of wild Poochyena, or you calmly give the cells to us and fake injuries so it looks like option one happened." Reno would now back up from the man with a flourish, spreading his arms in a broad gesture. Letting a smile cross his lips, he said, "Now then. Choose your poison. I'm good with any of them."

"I suppose that works too..." Amaranth remarked as she watched Darts' Gengar go to work. She'd opt to avoid sending any of her Pokemon out for now. "If nothing else, he can ambush her if we're spotted. And Pidgey... well, it was one of the Shadow Pokemon that attacked us in Orre." She'd try to follow afterward, keeping her distance and trying to remain as quiet as possible. She didn't want to just sit idly by.

"Leave him," Cera commented bluntly after the grunt in Kain's grasp fainted. "I'm not entirely sure what he's going on about, but I think we've got worse matters." She was already racing out as she spoke, having heard the screams and reaching the exit shortly after the others... only to hear the lead grunt going on about them. "...can we help you?"
She'd then move herself to be somewhat closer to "Zac," as if trying to protect it.

Tesei Utakata The inevitable would have red hair and be beside him in an instant after the call ended, an arm now wrapped around the grunt's shoulder. I'm good with any of them." Issac stood back at the exit of the cave, and let Reno teleport off to intimidate the ranting member of Flare. Rather then add any comment of his own, he felt it more prudent to get ready for a fight, in the event that the Flare member decided to go with "option three" as Reno had put it. Opening up Noibat's Pokeball, he sprayed down the tiny bat with a Super Potion healing it of the wounds previously suffered in the fight against the Clawitzer. Once finished he stashed the bottle away and turned his attention once again to Reno and the Flare member. Things were probably about to get very interesting.
